These Are the Most-visited Theme Parks in the World, According to a New Study

"Positioned as the world’s largest ocean theme park, it features record-breaking marine infrastructure—such as the largest aquarium window and the largest underwater viewing dome—alongside themed lands, live shows, rides, and animal exhibits like Polar Bear Village; the park has earned multiple Guinness World Records and boasts massive tanks holding over 75 million liters of water." - Carly Caramanna Carly Caramanna Carly Caramanna is a theme park and travel journalist who has spent her professional career in New York City, Nashville, and Los Angeles. Only few staff can speak in English. Almost people here are Chinese. Please beware your space when you are in the queue. The place is very good, clean and comfortable to visit. All payments are available by Alipay but quite expensive. The show in the night is very amazing but please don't open your space between your group, some Chinese people may insert their body in front of you.

Probably one of the most iconic theme park in the world. At first you don’t really know if it’s an aquarium or an amusement park but it’s all combined. Such a wonderful place. Animals seem to be well treated. Aquariums are phenomenal. Rides are really impressive and cool. Food is not the best but ok. The water show is great.

Fantabulous theme park. Great combination of rides and aquatic animals. Best in the world.

Been to a few themed parks and aquarium in my lifetime and all have been pretty good 😊 but this one really impressed me even more than I expected. So much to see and do, even at my grand old age, I was still excited by the shows and entertainment dotted around the park. As with most parks in China, try to avoid weekends and any public holidays periods, as it can be extremely busy and long wait times for the shows, highly recommended

Best aquarium so far I visited. This place even crowded in weekday due to student fieldtrip. Don’t expect you get sanctuary time to enjoy the animal exhibit, but after all they have many show like beluga, pink dolphin, sealion, polar bear , etc. Many Food truck and souvenir store. Their hotel is beautiful too

Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, a part of the Chimelong International Ocean Resort, is located in Hengqin District, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province. Dubbed as the "Orlando of China", the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom is the world’s largest ocean-theme fairyland including 8 theme areas. Visitors can see many kinds of rare marine animals including more than 15,000 fish, and challenge the longest roller coaster in the world. This is also an especially family-friendly park that children can experience. Ocean Avenue is at the entrance to the Zhuhai Ocean Kingdom. Behind the giant Manta Ray sculpture, it is a giant LED screen showing various animals in the deep sea world, and the avenue is lined with shops for visitors to eat or buy souvenirs. Visitors can take Shuttle Buses from Macau, Hong Kong International Airport, Zhuhai Jinwan International Airport, Zhuhai Railway Station, Jiuzhou Port, Guangzhou Chimelong Hotel to ChimeLong Resort. Adult ticket range from 400 CNY to 450 depending on weekdays or weekends. Tickets are cheaper when bought online.

Good experience with a big whale shark. Recommend for family with child. Don't forget to see a every show. Like kaka and chimelong. And a lot animal theater to watch. Check schedule and you can plan.

Nice multi-park resort overall, but purely targets mainland tourists and not user friendly to westerners. It includes the Ocean Kingdom outdoor park with marine animal tanks and performance shows, plus 3 roller coasters. The three coasters are the Parrot Coaster, The Walrus Splash, and Polar Explorer. Parrot Coaster is highly recommended and has well supporting straps for large and small. It has a steep drop, loop, and barrel roll sections that are all enjoyable. The Polar Explorer was frequently broken and ended up getting everyone more wet than was enjoyable even with ponchos. The Walrus Splash was a better balance for a Splash Coaster, though ponchos still needed. Next door to outdoor park is the newer Spaceship indoor park which has an Orca Killer Whale show, hammerhead shark tanks, dolphins, and various ecosystem fish displays. Then on the upper floor they have an indoor theme park with more kid friendly rides. Our 6 y/o loved this area more than outdoor park. The Bermuda Storm moving theater was the one ride that everyone could enjoy. The attached hotel has an infinity pool on the roof, but it is unheated and only useful for self indulgent glamor influencer pictures. The 8pm firework and drone light show was fun to watch and impressive. Most of the negative reviews are from people opposed to keeping Orca in captivity and putting on performances. While seeing such majestic and intelligent creatures made to perform is disturbing, the new facilities are miles ahead of the depressing SeaWorld facilities from the 1970's and 80's. The tanks are much larger than the "spacious" tank made in USA to rehabilitate Keiko the Orca after the movie Free Willy. Please note that if you don't have alipay or wechat digital payments working on your phone, you will be unable to book or pay for anything. We ran into a problem where the total hotel resort bill was greater than the daily max 6600 RMB allowed on foreign accounts. We had to break bill into smaller payments. There are very few English language brochures or fluent staff members at the hotels. Also, the area around is devoid of stores not connected to resort, so you are limited to the single beer choice during your stay.
