Excellent food and service. Quiet street and nice deco of the restaurants inside and outside. They have a few sister restaurants around the corner. We had a delicious meal and very attentive staff.

Wonderful high quality restaurant off the beaten track in central Trieste. Staff are confident in the high quality of their restaurant, and it shows in a friendly and unaffected excellence. Highly recommended.

Nice staffs and service. We ordered sea tasting menu and truffle tagliatelle. Some are good but some are just ok. If I go back, I would just order scallops and prawns. That was really delicious.

Disappointing experience. Cold and hasty service and mediocre courses. Pasta undercooked and no it's not that we don't understand what al dente is. Deep fried fritto misto as main course. Al part of a traditional tasting menu which would more suit a Osteria. Skip as there are much better places to find here.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. Smaller wonderful portions with unbelievable taste. A must try if you like food

Incredible pasta with tartufo/truffle. Tip, normally restaurants don’t punt in the menu tartufo, however they have during the seasons. We had burrata with truffle and pasta truffle! The chef sent a special entree for free

This place is awesome. Great wine steward. Great service. Be sure to order the octopus with pumpkin sauce and the tuna Provençal.

Very typical Italian trattoria for the area. White tablecloth place that you will want to be dressed nice to come to. Smallish with about 18 tables. We only speak English and they very nicely had an English language menus. Prices for local wines seemed pretty low to us. Very nice and local seafood. Lots of home made pasta selections. It was a truffle special time for the menu. Truffles are not what we really enjoy, so we ordered of the regular menu which was very good. Two price fix options. One with 4 courses for €49 and a larger one with seven courses for more. We were told this restaurant won a local cooking competition among local places.

This restaurant is to my view one of the best around in Trieste. Take the starter with the four different fisch's and the four different salts. Real excellent. I would recommend to stay with the fish but meat is as well great. And finally the deserts ... goodness I simply can only recommend to try them all ;-) And is is good value for money but not cheap.

We were fortunate to return several years later to this glorious spot. Truffled house made pasta brought tears of joy to my eyes. A cold fish soup was also remarkably good, as was the carpaccio of pineapple dessert. Wonderful!

I love this little amazing place! They are always super nice and professional, the best to organize a graduation dinner with your family or for a romantic date ;) They have a very unusual and interesting selection of food from the territory, never unknown in terms of where it was produced. I really recommend the raw fish place, it' something equally divine and beautiful, like a painting! All the food is paired with amazing Italian and Slovenian wines, just ask the sommelier for a recommendation! If you are visiting Trieste and want to taste the amazing delicacies we have, just go straight there, you will absolutely not regret it!

I have eaten at many fine restaurants over the years in the Trieste area, but tucked behind Piazza Unita is a gem! Incredible food and service, but the presentation was outstanding! We got the Four Course Italo Svevo presentation, which also included a first soup and homemade sorbet, amounting to six exquisite dishes. The waitress was kind, and spoke great English to me; Triestine to my husband. A truly wonderful experience! The total for the two 4 Courses, plus two glasses of Sauvignon from a bottle opened just for us, amounted to 88 EU. Worth every cent!

Highly recommended. Great outdoor seating. Meticulously crafted dishes. Personal touch of chief. Food , location and service are all great!!!!

One of the best meals I've had in Italy. The tortelloni was delicate and delicious. The sea bass was amazing and the potatoes are some of the best I've ever had.

food was ok but in relation to the price nothing special: For 3 people we had no full-fledged 5 course menu, but a minimalistic sea food appetizer for 24 euro, 2 stuffed squids, 1 primo (pasta) and 2 secondi. The one was just a big piece of sea bass, the stuffed monkfish was good. The dessert (saffronized crème brulée) was delicious. After the food and wine was on the table the waiter didn't take any notice of us anymore and after having asked for another glass of wine the answer was just "no, only by the bottle" without any alternative suggestion. Interior kitschy. Wouldn't go there again, didn't feel comfortable

highly recommend the sister restaurant just across the lane - chimerina. fantastic food. fantastic service. bistro style. you will truly enjoy the experience. relaxed atmosphere. go outside your comfort zone and trust the recommendations. we were so pleasantly surprised.
