Excellent experience!! The food is very worth the money, it’s not expensive but yet delicious and filling. The stuff is very friendly, the atmosphere is wonderful, I loved everything about the design, feels cozy and natural. I’ve noticed as well that they’re using fresh ingredients right from the beautiful shelf. Highly recommend!

We stopped by Chimera today. Found it in tiktok. It’s this cool salad bar where you pick whatever you want from a buffet. We had different salads and soup The place is beautiful. Not really busy on a Monday morning. Really nice decor that makes it feel cozy. And the staff was super nice! The person at the checkout was really friendly

Great place with a relaxed, cafeteria-style vibe. The concept is really nice, and the room is beautifully decorated with a glass roof and lots of plants. The food is tasty, healthy, and fresh, with a wide variety of salads at very reasonable prices. You can choose how much you want to eat, making it a great option even if you’re not very hungry.

Food was more limited that what was suggested on the Internet. I asked if they have chicken or fish or anything protein wise all they had was tuna salad and herring salad and some ham. I had the 4 option salad selection but the selection was not 60plus as suggested on the Internet. Not really worth it but the cakes looked nice. Pomegranate juice was fresh.

Wonderful spot for fresh and nourishing food. Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. We went in the evening and there was a pianist and a singer. Then candles were placed on the tables enhancing an already enchanting experience.

We stopped by for a light lunch and were very pleased. The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming, and we really enjoyed the concept of choosing and putting together your meal directly at the bar.

Great alternative to sitting for a heavy/expensive meal while traveling, I desperately needed some vegetables and they delivered. Excellent quality and preparation.

Oh my god you guys….. I’m not even kidding but here is the BEST place in krakow. Everything is EXTREMELY delicious and healthy and fresh. 4 portions plate is 26 zloti and they put enough food and the workers here… how lovely and smiley are they. I love EVERYTHING I ate and I think I’ll be here every week. Thank you for such a healthy place 🫶🏻

3.5 stars It's a salad bar, it's a cafeteria, and it's popular with students! Chimera is located quite close to Krakow's central square in the old city and offers a variety of prepared foods from a buffet counter. It's a great deal--just 15 zloty gets you a selection of four items, and feeling very salady, I tried the beet salad (with lettuce); the broccoli with egg; the spinach salad with soy beans (which, uniquely, came with both cooked and raw spinach leaves); and my favorite, the herring salad with apple! I can't say that these were the freshest concoctions, as they had definitely been sitting around for a while and had started to wilt. But for the price, and for the really cool courtyard setting, this is a great casual place to check out in the center of Krakow that's actually popular with the locals!

Came here on a whim because we really needed to eat vegetables and everywhere was super busy. Loved this restaurant. The ambiance is amazing. There is live music - piano and vocals - tonight with candles lighting up the restaurant and the plants hanging overhead. So glad we found this gem.

BLOODY MARVELLOUS!! Our guide told us she has been coming here since she was a child and clearly it is a wonderfully consistent place to get a decent meal or tasty snack Our meals were delicious and the place is quaint and relaxing Highly recommended

Sorry to disappoint everyone! The place might be nice and the food might be tasty but we were shocked to see hair in the food!! So that put off my GF! And you all know how that affects the well being of the surroundings! Yes you guessed it right, we left there early :( Leaving behind the rest of the food which is like a never before event! You loose the trust and just want to get out of there!

I love it here. The staff is super nice and the food is great. We had breakfast here 2x in a row and we will come back! Would recommend the sweet rice for sweet teeth, it's really yummy and light. The prices are so low you feel as like you must be cheating someone... So we gave them a huge tip. The atmosphere is really cute and you feel as if you're in Italy. I cannot rave enough about this place. Coming from Germany, we get canteens with prices like this and the food there is nothing compared to chimera.

Amazing winter garden style restaurant/salad bar with fresh salads, hot meat & vegan options to mix & match. In general healthy food including desserts and gluten free options. Quite busy during weekday lunch. Really friendly and helpful staff. Good prices for the location close to main square. Free wifi. One of my fav places in Krakow :)

This is two restaurants in one. The one on street level is cafeteria style and then a normal restaurant down below. Food was good once you learn the system upstairs, which is not too user-friendly. My complaint is that they cram too much food on a very small plate, and you have to search for your utensils. Not to mention you have to make a separate trip to get and pay for any drinks you want to have before your meal starts. If you want a normal seated meal you go downstairs. Oh, and the paper napkins are the worst I've seen.

My all time favorite in Kraków! I've been coming here for years. I love everything about this place. It's run by students from the Jagiellonian University. Their outdoor, covered garden seating area has so much charm and character. The food is very good as well. Lots of options to choose from and you get to see the selections before you order them. Options include fresh salads, soups, various hot options, sweets, and fresh juices. This place never disappoints. Chimera is a true hidden gem, on a side street, right off of the Rynek. This is a must stop when in Kraków!

Truly delicious food and excellent in value! When I entered the restaurant, I strongly admired the decor. The food looked fresh, bright, and delicious. Although I eat meat, I decided to go for a vegetarian lunch. I loved it. The food was as good as it looked. It was a fantastic lunch. Healthy, clean, and fresh. I'd most definitely go there again.

Put simply Chimera is a great place in Kraków to stop for quick meals that are cheap and pretty tasty, or to just to stop and admire the atmosphere. We stopped at chimera for lunch and were not disappointed. They have a cafeteria style menu that seems to change by the hour (we saw different food on the menu when we left than was there when we arrived), and that is not only ridiculously cheap for Kraków but also really good. They mostly have veggie and fish based dishes, with many options for vegetarians & vegans. The atmosphere was also amazing as we ate in what could only be described as a botanical garden wonderland. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Kraków looking for a cheap and amazing meal or a fun dining experience.

Good salad bar with different options of soups, salads and other vegetarians sides. Came here coz one of us is gluten free and they do have some options. So that was easy. Nice ambience too. They juices and French white wine were very delicious too.

Ofter reading review on yelp which I have been doing a lot as we travel we decided to try this one my husband is not into vegetable at all but it my favorite so in we went great prices food very tasty choices great even husband said he would return prices how can they make it for what they sell!! Would highly tell u to go for lunch or dinner

Polish food can be pretty heavy, so this salad bar/deli spot is a great healthy alternative. Basically you just get in line and order your food cafeteria style. They have different portion options (1, 4, and 6) and from what I remember the 4 portion meal was about 15 zl. My friends and I each ordered the 4 portion meals and it offered plenty of variety. The hot food options are first and then as you go down the line there's a wide assortment of salads - so before getting in line take a peek at the options (most of which were vegetarian). Each meal comes with salad dressing (given to you by the staff) and some bread (which you can find by the utensils, past the cashier). The best part about this place is that the interior resembles a greenhouse filled with random plants. Also, it's located just around the corner from the main square.

Chimera is my go to healthy-food place in the Rynek. They have a lot to choose from the salads and yummy desserts. The ambience is really nice and staff are friendly. The Big plat (for 17 zł) is totally worth it when you are hungry and want to eat healthy. You can pick 6 portions (mix of salads and other dishes, 100 grams each). Occasionally (during the weekends) they live bands performing there. P.S. - Recommended if you want go for a pocket friendly date.

An exceptional and unique cafeteria. Great atmosphere and tasty inexpensive food. They even have live music. Casual dining at its best.

Ate lunch in the salad bar/cafe part of Chimera in a group of 4. Being tourists, we weren't sure about how to ask for the salad plates, so we sat down and a kind young waiter offered to not only serve us at table, but spoke perfect English to us (he was probably glad to stop me from mangling his language any further!). Had the borscht to start with, served in a mug with some salad on the side, and then the meat pierogi. The food was tasty and served quickly and efficiently. Very good value for money, with a 2 course lunch for 4 plus drinks hitting around £20 GBP. Very easy to find, just off Rynek Glowny, and was bustling with locals, so a good find - recommended for a quick lunch during sightseeing.

The Salad bar Chimera in Kraków's old town has a huge selection of different salads, a lot of them are vegan, and very, very tasty! It is located between the main market (rynek glowny) and the planty-greenbealt, in a covered yard, with lots of plants and daylight - a great atmosphere. You can have just one serving (100 gr) for 5 zl, a small place (4 servings, each 100g) for 13 zl or a big plate (6 servings) for 17 zl. You can choose from the wide range of salads, but you can also choose from warm (not too hot ;) vegetarian dishes, or meat. Besides there are available soups and other dishes, like pierogi. Even though I would like the place better if they didn't serve meat (therefore I am a rare guest), I have to point out that the salads are amazing and offering a wide, vegan offer - my favorites are those with chickpeas (ciciorka) or soy beans with lentils (soja z soczewica) and beetroot with oranges (buraki).

Instead of the salad bar upstairs, I have chosen to go downstairs to have a meal at the restaurant. The menu is typical polish dishes. I have ordered the white borsch. It is very nice, totally increase my appetite and prepare me for the goose beasts main course. It is served with cabbage & raisins. It is a very interesting combination of flavor. Decoration is a farm house look and service is very good for polish standard. Overall, I think it is a good traditional polish restaurant just off the main square.

Beautiful restaurant with nice food and pleasant staff. Recommend to finish the meal with a piołunówka!

This was our first visit to Kraków and we stopped at Chimera for our first meal, my wife wanted some healthy vegetarian food so after searching yelp we choose to eat here. There are to areas of the place and we choose to eat in the downstairs restaurant, it's not vegetarian. The basement area that the restaurant is in is beautiful, it is 500 years old and nicely decorated with various pieces of art, as far as the ambiance is concerned it is a 5 star place but unfortunately that doesn't follow through in the food. I had the trout with cheese, the trout was cooked nicely but it had a lot of bones, the cheese on the trout overpowered the flavor of the fish, it was nice Smokey cheese but for my taste it should have been a bit more delicate so as not to overpower the fish. My wife ordered the vegetarian plate, it was served on to plates the first had 3 types of salad and wasn't very tasty, the second plate had more choices but it was very underwhelming, boring flavors and bland. The server was very nice and did a good job but the food was not great. I would choose to try another restaurant before visiting Chemera again. Having said that, the ambiance was so nice here that perhaps we just ordered the wrong food, it might be a nice romantic place to enjoy a meal if you choose your food perfectly.

You have to be there between 1:30-2:30 or between 4:30-5;30 to get the best dishes. Before and after those times they produce little food. Great location, great outdoor atmosphere. Nice staff but it is obvious when the owner is there because the whole staff gets extremely stressed out and you can see it on their faces.

Interior with paintings, antique furniture and beautiful fabrics in a kind of "old Krakow" style, but very appealing and cosy. Perfect for candlelight dinner. And also the quality of the food and the service convinces. We realliy enjoyed our dinner there. Please be aware: In the cellar used to be a salad bar, which is now on the ground floor.
