China Academy of Art

The Campus is an architectural treat. Various traditional forms are reinvented that houses the different disciplines and schools and workshops. The variety of textures on display is just bewildering. And of course, there is Ar. Kengo Kuma's Folk Art Museum on the grounds as well, and that, is a class of its own. Dont miss this place for a relaxing morning, leading up to lunch in one of its cafes or restaurants on the grounds.

Only past by the front. It looks pretty magnificent and artsy.

Extremely beautiful from the outside yet some of the classrooms and hallways were quite decrepit with a lingering smell of musty clay. I recommend entry from the south gate as it is often the only open tourist entry. Make sure to reserve ahead on busy days. Otherwise you can reserve at the guard shack.
