This is our second time here, it is so good and flavorful! I’m super picky about my General Tso’s chicken but this is perfect! Not too super spicy, full of flavor, no fatty pieces. Excellent service! Everyone is so friendly and kind.

This is the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to! The food is always fresh and high-quality, with a great variety of flavors. The staff are very kind, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Was mostly dissatisfied with food the reason being is the order that I asked for I did not get the food I asked for the food itself was dry there was no mushrooms and mine like stated there was no corn in the soup like stated and there was a greasy like substance on the side of the takeout container very unappealing what little did I taste I ended up with that greasy substance in my mouth most definitely not going to go back for the price sorry I thought I would give it a try but turns out it's not all that it's cracked up to be the people were very nice and hospitable though I will give him that in the atmosphere was very quaint both me and my husband were dissatisfied with our dinner for the cost I will not do it again we cannot even finish our dinner very sad

I have to say this place was in my top 3 best Chinese food restaurants. But today has to be my last time coming. Service is fast and it’s nice place to eat in. But the food quality has took such a plunge that it’s not worth the higher prices. I’ve been coming here for 10 plus years, the last 5 visits have been disappointing. Today I decided to try one more time. Getting a meal that supposed to be mostly beef. Was mostly veggies with a barely any meat. But worst of all was the flavor, or lack of flavor. So plain that I needed to add my own sauce. Not sure if they went through a staff change. But something has definitely changed.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! They start you with soup crunchies that my mom and I almost finished before our soup came. The dinner specials are a great deal! Mine came with egg drop soup, cheese rangoons, lo mein and sesame chicken for $17. My mom got hot and sour, an egg roll, lo mein, and chicken suey for the same price. My leftovers alone were enough for two other meals. Lovely staff and food!! At the end of our meal, they gave us fortune cookies and red bean sesame balls that were warm and filling. Cannot recommend enough ❤️

very nice restaurant and very nice service!! we visited for dinner and it was a bit pricy but the portions were huge!! and also very tasty! i absolutely loved their fried dumplings, very filling and the egg drop soup was phenomenal! i will definitely be eating here again soon.

Got the twice cooked pork lunch special. It came with hot & sour soup, egg roll, fried rice, and the pork. All for $11! The prices are so reasonable, and the portion sizes are perfect. The servers were also all so nice. Would definitely go back.

I went for lunch and had a two entree combo, Mongolian Beef and Chicken with Garlic Sauce. Both dishes were excellent. The beef was tender. Service was very attentive. The hot and sour soup was excellent. Overall, a good lunch.

This restaurant is the best source for top notch Chinese food and service! The food is astonishingly tasty. The presentation, quality, taste, texture, temperature, etc, are always on point. Every single employee is a team player; they run a tight ship there - serving everyone with elite level industry standards. I have been eating here for several years now; I plan to have one of my last meals on Earth here. I have eaten many different dishes here and will get thru the whole menu one day.

Very delicious but this is the second time I order a triple delight and it only came with 2 pieces of shrimp. Disappointed, if you love shrimp maybe get something else since this won't have much shrimp in it. Also

Food was delicious and fresh. The chicken in black bean sauce was my favorite. The chicken fried rice was full of flavor and a huge portion. Service was excellent! We will be back!

I recently visited this beautiful restaurant, and I was blown away by the amazing environment. The staff brings such incredible energy, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The meal began with a cup of wonton soup, which had an absolutely fantastic flavor an easy 10/10. The food portions here are quite generous, so be sure to come on an empty stomach! The orange chicken was a highlight perfectly crunchy, with a zesty, zingy flavor that paired wonderfully with the fried rice. The rice itself was cooked to perfection, loaded with plenty of vegetables and eggs. As for the lemon chicken, it was just as impressive. The portion size was massive, with plenty of perfectly cooked, crunchy chicken. The lemon sauce was delicious and complemented the dish beautifully. If you're in the area, this spot is a must-visit! I wholeheartedly recommend it!

We met my sister-in-love and brother-in-love for lunch today at China Inn. Lunch specials are available every day of the week. Almost everyone had lunch specials except for me. Lunch specials include soup and egg roll or crab rangoon. My sister-in-love had the Spicy Shrimp and Vegetables, my brother-in-love had the Chicken and Broccoli, hubby had the Triple Delight, Dad had the Lemon Chicken, and I had Orange Beef. Dad's chicken was a bit dry so we swapped it for Tofu and Veggies instead. Overall, the food was good.

We were super hungry so no pictures today but the star of today was the service. I ordered online and when I showed up I was greeted immediately, everyone was super friendly, they checked the order twice for me, and they gave us a calendar to boot. I was in and out (with some chatting) in just a few minutes. We have been before and the food is always great and today was no exception! China Inn is always a family fave for us and today they really did a phenomenal job!

Very friendly and welcoming and the decor is very nice and comfortable. I ordered the lemon chicken and I have to say it was some of the best I've ever had. It was very crispy and they give you a huge portion. I highly recommend trying this place

Casual dining with really large portions and great flavored Chinese dishes. Prices are reasonable. Parking can be difficult because there are many other businesses in the strip mall. Service is very good because the wait staff is attentive.

No pictures needed bc there are plenty. Have gone here since I was a kid. So much so they would ask how my family is doing 30 years later. Nice little place nestled in castle hills. Service is always top notch. Great place for lunch or dinner. Portions antler great. Quality is amazing. This place is really good. It's kept me coming back for 40 years. Go check them out very soon.

This restaurant is THE go to Chinese restaurant within the area surrounding the San Antonio airport for MILES. Extremely clean. Wonderful and attentive staff and amazing food (with huge portions!). Had lunch but the food was enough for dinner. I had the kung pao shrimp and my friend had the sesame chicken. Both lunch entrees came with a choice of lo mein or fried rice, soup and an egg roll or crab rangoon. I am stuffed and my belly is very happy. This place is a must try!

Ordered peppery pork chop our favorite entree! If you haven't tried it, you gotta! Always tastes delicious! Along with the egg drop soup!

Had not visited restaurant in about 1 year. Decided to go for lunch today Sunday. I ordered the Pork Garlic Sauce with Lo Mein and egg roll. I was totally dissatisfied in the Pork dish, although there was pork in the entree about 30% was strips of pure fat, total turnoff. I told the waiter and he laughed and said sorry, did not offer to change the dish , he just kept laughing. In the past I've had good food here but today was an off day

Excellent service and delicious food! We walked in at lunchtime. Although they were very busy, we were seated quickly. We had a cozy table in the back. The staff was very courteous, answering our questions (since it was our first visit.) The food portions are huge! We had Chop Suey w/steamed rice and Kung Pao Chicken w/Lo Mein. Both we highly recommend. Oh, and the delicious egg rolls are a bonus. They do not skimp on their food. We are going back!

Get here early! Does fill quickly for lunch. Always the nicest service, lunch entree's are fresh and fast. Because they do offer a nice long list of lunch specials, I recommend starting there because it does include a soup of choice, rice or lomein, egg roll or crab puff. And if you want to sub a meat, that's also an option for an up charge below $2. Really great portions, delicious food and you're in and out of there quickly (if that's what you need for the day) We seem to manage to leave with leftovers every single time. I would prefer piping hot soup and just so happened today it wasn't as hot coming out of the kitchen. Great go-to in the area!!

My friends and I came for lunch. The first thing I noticed was that the restaurant was very clean and it smelled good. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I ordered General Pso chicken with fried rice, egg drop soup, and an egg too. My food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. The egg drop soup came out first and was the perfect temperature to eat right away. The chicken was all white meat, no yucky fat and had a nice light breading. It wasn't spicy at all. The fried rice was plain but good, and the egg roll was good. I would dine here again! Next time I'm ordering the sesame shrimp and chicken to try something different, but the General Tso's was great!

Gigantic portions and modest prices. The Imperial Shrimp was phenomenal. The waitstaff was as perfect as- like a well oiled machine. Will definitely come back!

In a small shopping mall , very clean and organized. Greeted right away and seated. Great service and very large portions. Prices are very reasonable and did I mention the service was awesome.

Been our go to spot for decades. Suffered some problems with consistency right after the pandemic but I am glad to report that they are back on track with good quality food again. Service has always been excellent.

My boyfriend and I come to this spot almost all the time! We are foodies and have tried many food places and China Inn is by far one of our favorite restaurants to eat! The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. The flavor is impeccable!! Every plate looks delicious but our favorite would have to be the Sesame chicken with lo mein! The service is top tier. The staff is very kind and attentive. Ambiance is great!

Triple Delight on dinner menu I got a small cup of soup, wonton chips, egg roll and all of this food for 16.00. The Lo Mein elevated the whole experience!

Ordered tofu and veggies. It was awful. Hardly any veggies, no broccoli, and huge chunks of tofu drowning in a salty brown sauce. Egg roll was old and nasty. Very friendly staff but never going back.

The atmosphere was great, the service was exceptional, but the food, very satisfying and just topped it off! Polite staff & clean. The pork plate I got, soft and tender in your mouth! Would definitely recommend and I will be back!

Order the triple delight to go. To go portions are enough. Only problem was that instead of a combination of meat, chicken, and shrimp - I was served plenty of red meat and chicken and only 1 shrimp in my plate. Food is good at reasonable prices. It's one of my to go places for quick good Chinese food.

This is one of the best Chinese places in San Antonio. The restaurant is clean, the service is excellent and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend the Mongolian Beef. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes.

Wow. Let's just say I was very disappointed in my visit for lunch today. I've read good reviews for China Inn and have even picked up food to go a couple of times which was okay, but today I decided to dine in. I ordered the Chinese Style Sweet and Sour Pork. When I received my plate, right away I noticed that the pieces of pork seemed over-cooked. I moved the pieces of pork around with my fork. They were all so thinly sliced and tough. I couldn't even pierce them with the point of my fork. I didn't even want to try and bit into one. Considering they have good reviews overall I could not believe they served me this plate of food. I didn't attempt to eat it since I knew I wouldn't be able to bite through the pieces of pork. What a disappointment.

Excellent service & lunch. Upon arrival, I was that quickly. The service was impeccable. They continuously asked if I was doing OK, and my water was refilled every time my cup was halfway full. There was definitely paying attention to detail by all staff members. They all worked together and made the experience great, not to mention the food is always good here. I tried the chicken with vegetables and it was delicious. The lunch portion was also a good size I highly recommend for a great lunch spot.

Was so excited after reading the reviews that we finally found somewhere in San Antonio that has decent Chinese take-out.. unfortunately after eating here we're still on the lookout. Don't get me wrong the food was not awful in taste, the thing was there was practically no taste to anything at all other than the egg roll and that was soggy. We tried to basic menu staples, General TSO chicken and Orange chicken, one with lo mein and one with fried rice. It was the strangest thing, there was just no flavor. I added a ton of hot chili oil I had at home to try and make it appetizing but even that barely helped. Would recommend going somewhere else.

First time for us... *General Tso Chicken & Fried Rice -Chicken had no batter, which made it taste weird. -I asked for extra spicy, and it wasn't! -The rice had no veggies in it...just rice! -The portion was good. *Peppered Shrimp & Lo-Mein -Shrimp under seasoned & crisp faded -Onions/Peppers mix should've been sautéed, instead of just diced & steamed! Overall, it was just OK...if we return, we will try something different! Golden Dragon Express is a better option in this particular area. Imma keep the to-go containers tho. #shrugs

The food was so fresh and very well prepared. The service and kindness all the staff showed us was refreshing. It had been many years since dining at China Inn and I was pleased beyond measure of 5 stars. I will return happily. I recommend highly.

Busy little restaurant ordered lunch special: Shrimp w/lobster sauce- very tasty seasoning was on point and plenty of shrimp Mongolian beef- it was a little salty for me I couldn't finish it. Years of dining here! I love it to go as well as dining in. A few of my favorites are egg drop soup, sesame, chicken, beef, and green beans, chicken and green beans, orange chicken... And so many more these are just a few favorites as I said previously. Service is amazing. The servers consistently check on you and make sure everything is to your liking as far as ambience goes. This place is always packed. If you haven't had a chance to check them out be sure to add it to your list.

Cute restaurant that is tucked on the Northwest side. Parking is a little limited, but the restaurant itself is nice. Service is spot on. The staff are very attentive. My best friend got the sesame chicken with no seeds and I got the general tso. I loved having a plate full of "crunchies" on the table. I'm sure that's not the name, but I'm calling it that. I love them and I'm my soup. The soups were delicious. Both dishes were amazing. I loved the thickness of the sauce for my dish and how crispy the chicken was. My best friend enjoyed hers too. My egg roll was on the small side, but still delicious. Would definitely recommend and go back when I'm in town.

We had a good, serviceable meal tonight, with outstanding, attentive service. PROS Service was 5 stars. Multiple servers took care of everything. From greeting to drinks to food, everything was fast and efficient. This is where China Inn excels. The food was also piping hot and the plating looked beautiful. All the veggies appeared to be super fresh. CONS Overall, the food was just really boring. I asked if the hot and sour soup was spicy, and to her credit, the server told me it was not. Good for her, but hot and sour should be spicy. I ordered king pao shrimp and my dining partner ordered almond chicken. But other than the protein and the nuts, they appeared identical. Mostly cubed celery and chunks of sweet peppers in a brown sauce. My kung pao was listed as spicy, but it was served in a sweet brown sauce with no noticeable heat. They have service down so well, they could teach most SA restaurants a thing or two. However, the food is not good enough to make me drive out of my way. I'll continue to search for a good Chinese American restaurant in SA.

Food was very tasty and we went at lunch time so took advantage of the lunch time special which was more than enough food... even had leftovers. Restaurant was clean and nice. Staff was attentive and helpful with questions we had. Overall a great place.

What a great Chinese restaurant in the Castle Hills/NW Military area! The place is clean, organized, and bright and the service was top notch! The food was fantastic and priced right! The plates were huge and enough for dinner and lunch the next day. The soup before the meal was really tasty and a perfect little appetizer.

Ordered to go. Online ordering was easy and they were pretty fast. Food is just ok. Not awful, but not great either. Just lacking a lot in flavor, and the breading is a little weird on the orange chicken. I got mine for $11 for the lunch special and felt that I wouldn't want to pay more than that. It does come with soup and a small appetizer so that is a plus. Egg roll was good, soup was ok but also lacked flavor.

China Inn is hidden from the street by well known by locals. They serve am extensive menu of standard American Chinese food and they do it well. The chicken is extremely tender, the soups are flavorful, and anything fried is perfectly crunchy. The sesame chicken is my favorite. Some of the sauces blend together a little but it helps that portions are huge. Staff is very attentive and manages the lunch rush especially well. They offer huge lunch special plates, but arrive quickly because a line will form at lunch and parking becomes a pain. Thankfully at least the interior is bustling but spacious giving you comfort as you enjoy your meal.

I've been coming here since my childhood, so this place holds fond memories for me. We would order takeout from here all the time, and they have the best lo mein and shrimp fried rice that I've had anywhere. Classic, simple, tasty Chinese food. The food is delicious, quick, inexpensive, and generous in portions. The service is wonderful both for takeout or dining in. They are observant and anticipate all of your needs; your drink glass won't even make it down halfway before they swing by to top it off again. One of my favorites and my go-to for lo mein and fried rice cravings! I have never, ever been disappointed here. A quaint, family-owned local business that I will continue to support! A clean, well managed restaurant hidden in a corner of a shopping center. I have lived in the area for 20 years and this is my first time and planning to come back. All dishes portions were great and tasty. Service was really really good.

This place is always immaculately clean and well run. The service is impeccable and consistent. The wait staff are attentive and friendly. The food is served fresh, hot and delicious. I ordered the orange chicken and I appreciate the way the meat is cubed into smaller, uniformed pieces and the flavor is great, lo mein is great! The portion size is generous and well priced for everything included.
