China Wok Superb Chinese Food

My fave spot to get fried chicken and noodles. This spot is the most popular at York gate mall and they’re pretty affordable. I used to get the kids meal which consist of fried rice or noodle with 2 pieces of chicken. Don’t recall the price but it’s less than $10 (I feel like it’s $5 or less). The chicken is so good! This time around we got 2 boxes of chicken (24) and noodles for total of $32. Service is ok! And there’s food court if you want to eat there. Otherwise mainly takeout spot. Also get the red sauce! It’s so good with the chicken. They also gave me hot sauce packets and soy sauce.

This is the BEST fast food Chinese restaurant in the Canada! The Fried chicken, the brown fried rice, veggies, chicken ball battered shrimp, noodles, everything is great here. The staff is courteous , nice and friendly, and the owner is an amazing and hard working person. More importantly the history, it has been around forever. China Wok is a staple and blessing to the Jane and Finch Community. maybe one day it could be a Heritage Site 😊 Thanks for everything China Wok! 🙏

Rude gal slamming food into containers, cross contamination and the food was bland and disappointing. Over cooked soggy vegetable’s She did not even get order correct. The only thing that tasted good here was the can of coke I got lol

It is always a joy to come back to this restaurant for their food. Anytime I am in the area, I have to order from here. Food tastes the same now as it did from when I was a teen. I'm over 40 now. Continue to make those delicious wings!

The chicken wings are really good and they are always fresh. Very unique batter, good flavour and crunch. I also had some other chicken dish with fried rice that was also better than any other Chinese place I’ve been to in this area

Definitely can't go wrong with their $10 chicken. The serving size is good, and the taste is very delicious. You get more than what you pay for! This is an OG chinese food.

I haven’t been here in 15 years! I came here two days ago and it absolutely brought back a bunch of memories because I used to come here when I was younger with my dad. This was my dad‘s absolute favourite spot to eat at and he would also feed us this too, and we loved it. Being here just felt like home and it felt so nostalgic. It made my heart happy. The staff is amazing and the service is absolutely perfect. The owner as well is amazing. I will definitely be coming here more and more especially during school time. Thank you for being amazingly awesome you guys are the best!

Ive been going to this place since I was little, the food is always a 10/10! I always have to stop by here when I’m around, I ordered 10 piece of chicken and the person gave me more chicken, The customer service is always above and beyond. Thank you so much!!

China Wok Super Chinese Food provides the best-breaded chicken wings in the Greater Toronto Area. The scrumptiously marinated wings are coated with a seasoned batter (with unique, refreshing seasoning blends, such as rosemary) and fried to an absolute crispy golden brown. Once you start those wings, you can't stop. In fact, these wings are so good that I ordered 200 of them for my party last winter, and I still don't get tired of those damn wings! Also - they are great if you keep them in the fridge for a day & reheat them too. Although their fried rice and vegetables are not as out-of-this-world as their wings, they all still pack great wok hei while tasting surprisingly "healthy" (because they are not as heavily seasoned as other Chinese food places). I think the chef wanted to ensure that the other dishes did not steal the show of their wings. Overall, I strongly recommend China Wok Superb Chinese food, regardless of whether you want to grab a combo meal with wings, rice and vegetables or just ten wings for a meal. They are all great options with a decent price.

China Wok is definitely my childhood staple spot. My family and I have been eating here for a decade. It is a family own business that has provided affordable and delicious Chinese food for years. Flavour, quality and taste have always been consistent. Their fried rice and chicken wings are addicting. Service is always excellent - staff are welcoming, friendly snd prompt.

The service here is amazing!!! The food is delicious. This place has been opened for years and serves delish Chinese food. The highlight items are their crispy battered chicken wings. The chicken balls is soooo good. I always order them. The batter crisp ball is sooo good and there's huge chunky pieces of meat. Pairs well with their fried rice. Every item on here is good. The egg rolls is good but very very oily. The soup is good The chicken one. Yea they serve fast and so many people come here. Glad they are still there and food is still fantastic. Great pricing too!

Wings are super good here...I always have to stop by when I'm in the area ...would recommend everybody check it out for sure

Been coming here for years since my teens. Local family own place. You-always see the family working there together. Loved all the food there but my thing to go to there is the chicken wings hands down with the noodles. Food there never ever disappoints me. Definitely give 'em a try if you're in the area. Definitely bang for your buck.

I found out about this place through a friend. He highly recommended getting the chicken wings. I love chicken wings and was game to give them a try. China Wok Super Chinese Food is located at Yorkgate Mall. It's fairly close to my alma mater, York University. Had I known about this place back then, I would have eaten here! It has been kicking around since 1991 according to Steven, who took over the business from his dad years later. There was plenty of parking when I arrived at nearly 6 pm two Saturdays ago. I had to look at the mall directory to figure out that the food court was upstairs. I managed to enter through the doors with the correct staircase to walk up to the second floor. There was a Caribbean eatery next to China Wok that was not getting any business. I felt bad as I stood in line for China Wok. I may need to come back and give this eatery a try because the ox tail looked good. The woman looked so bored. There were daily specials that were pretty cheap. It's one thing that I love about eateries around any college or university. You tend to find good food at cheap prices. When it was my turn to order, I asked Steven how the chicken wings worked. If you get the large, it consists of twelve chicken wings going for $8.99. I looked at them in a huge silver bowl with what looked like fried chicken balls. I said yes to the wings. I paid using my debit card. If you use the payment machine, you pay an additional $0.25. It doesn't break my bank and I don't use cash these days. My wings were ready. It seemed like this eatery makes constant batches in the kitchen. They are popular! He was so humble, hoping that I'd enjoy the wings and wished me a great evening. I thanked him and left with my food. I got home and had my wings. They were still hot. The wings were exceptionally crispy. The batter had nice flavour and crunch. I didn't find them oily. The meat was juicy. The only thing is that when it comes to chicken wings, I prefer to not have them breaded or battered. I realized why after my fifth wing. I get tired of eating batter. I ended up taking some off and I was good. Other than the slight batter fatigue, I loved the wings. I'd go back for more. Perhaps I should do the small size for wings and get a combo meal next time. I looked at the veggies that came out from the kitchen and they looked great. I'm such a sucker for bean sprouts. I also like that there's chow mein. (116)

Been coming here since I was in middle school! Best wings in town. If you ever have a gathering, get yourself 100 wings with the sweet and sour sauce! Steven and his family are phenomenal

Been coming here for years. Never disappoints, fried chicken is always crispy and juicy.

Hands down THE best place to have fried rice and chicken wings. No where else have I had the best combination of rice and chicken together. Their chicken balls are really good too! Friendly service. Great food. I grew up having Chinese food here and have always been my favourite no matter where I go. Definitely recommend it. Try the $2 rice and chicken wings (you get two wings with fried rice)

Honestly some of the best Chinese food I have had and all for $5.19 per portion(HUGE portion!!). Their chicken wings, fried rice, chicken balls, sweet and sour chicken are very good!!! It's in a tacky/sketchy mall but that's OK, it's worth the trip out there to get such good food at such a low price.

I know a lot of people think Jane & Finch and automatically assume the worst, in my opinion those are people that are just plain ignorant.I have been coming to Yorkgate mall for years and yes although in some ways it could fit into what people consider "ghetto" it also has one of the BEST chinese take-out places ever!China Wok is where I go when I crave Chinese...because they deliver! They have all the favourites and always fresh and ready to go!You don't have to wait around for long and the food tastes amazing. And this place has the best breaded shrimp ever.....6 pieces for $3.00!!!I will always recommend this place! Nothing but the BEST!!!

If there is a rating below one star, I would use that. Nothing special about this place. We should have looked across and might get a better tasting food.. To each his own, but for sure, we are not coming back.

Shrimp and rice was delicious and fresh crunchy fresh veggies chicken balls were full of white meat and crunchy outside great service and great chinese food for a low price

It makes me sad that I have to give this place a low rating. I have fond memories of coming here since I was 8 years old. Over the years, their quality decreased. I'm guessing their quality had to go down to be able to offer their $2 special. Although it's extremely cheap and filling, I can't stand to eat it anymore. The fried rice is mushy and you are lucky to even find a piece of carrot or pea in it.

I've been eating here since the 1990's until today. This place is the greatest; it has excellent fresh dishes that are instantly made. MY favourite snack there is THE DELICIOUS chicken wings!!! They are super crispy, big, taste amazing (I hear they keep the recipe secret). Personally, I like eating spicy foods and the curry flavoured singapore style noodles statisfies! My family members always eat at China Wok, and I highly recommend it to others too!
