An interesting look into the history of Chinatown. It’s a small museum but well done and the volunteers are very helpful and passionate about the subject. Recommend to anyone interested in the history of Chinatown and Vancouver.

A very good place to start your basic research on Chinese-Canadians' journey in Vancouver. The visuals add an in-depth sense of the history. Can be completed in 1 hour but more time might be needed if someone is into note-taking etc. Bring along kids who can read, or have the patience to stand still when you read through. Even if you know a great deal about this part of the history, you might want to visit here. Never know which new bit of information is goinh to hit your core.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Chinatown Storytelling Centre during Light Up Chinatown! This interactive exhibit is captivating, inspiring, and emotional. The real artifacts, theatre, and photo studio were so fun and engaging to experience. One of my favourite segments is the vintage telephone booth where I could listen to voice recordings of different stories. This is definitely a must-visit whether you're a local or a tourist. Thank you to the Chinatown Foundation and their visionaries for preserving Chinese-Canadian history and culture.

Yesterday at the light up Chinatown festival, we went into this muesum and it said at the entrance by donation. There were tons of people at the entrance because people was blocked to go in by this table. And when my husband wants to go in, he was stopped by this guy at the entrance, I was right behind my husband ready to take out my wallet to donate. My husband was walking with a cane. That guy at the entrance told my husband you don't pay u don't get in, like a thug. What is the meaning of by donation? I was shocked when he stopped my husband and said that. So I closed my wallet and left. We went to the Chinese Canadian Muesum down the road. I was gladly went in with a 30% off on the admission.

just went there last saturday as they were doing a special exhibit on chinatown scouting. They spent a lot of time displaying pictures and display boxes showing artifacts from the past few decades. They also are selling different chili oils as condiments. Lots of visitors involved in the tasting. Recommended museum for anyone interested in one of the oldest chinatowns in north america. Came again to look at interactive displays of family and friends

I didn't have a lot of expectations coming here, but I was genuinely surprised by how informative and well presented the center is. It gave me some interesting insights into the Chinese Canadian history. One of the volunteers (didn't catch her name) was very attentive and helpful. A lot of attention to details here. The only thing I'd wish for is more information about the recent history of Chinatown. There's one or two panels, but it doesn't really gives it justice on how the community came to be and what led to where it is today

I had never heard about this place before, I feel that has a lot of history between Canada - Asia! It looks really interesting. I'll back and leave a review. At least I visited the souvenir shop and they had very unique things.

I wasn't expecting much to see at this location, but it proved me wrong. There are so many stories from each of the items being exhibited here, and I had a great time visiting

Yelp
The gift shop Foo Hung has pretty cute souvenirs but the woman at the register is pretty mean and unresponsive. If you have any questions about the merch, she'll give you a one word answer with contempt. I love the concept of a Chinese Canadian museum and want to support this initiative but the mean customer service makes me think twice about coming back.

Yelp
The place is alright. Major weakness is having tons of recent Chinese celebs and businessman pics on their display. The place down a block or two is more interesting. Cause I wanted to know more about the past and the head tax. Having Chinese menus,Chinese athletes, businessman was a bit boring.
