Good scenery area. Nice and spacious. Amenities are also reasonable. Its very peaceful its nice having the creek flowing next to where your camp is. They also provide the occasional fire pits. Also be prepared it gets very cold in the night. Thank u

Chinese Gardens, Walhalla is a really lovely campground. The grassy, spacious sites are mostly on the creek and we were frequently visited by Superb Fairy Wrens and a family of Eastern Black Ducks. The amenities are clean and the water is hot, with each room being a separate ensuite. The manager, Richard, was engaging and informative with regard to the village, its history and attractions. Look for him on a high point in the town on a Saturday and Sunday as he plays his bagpipes. Walking distance to all attractions in town, we highly recommend this campgrounds to one and all.

I was spoilt as I had the campground to myself, and it's so beautiful and tranquil here. Whilst I had no use for the BBQ, I couldn't help but notice they need cleaning and are being neglected. Then I found there was also no hot water for washing dishes, only cold, and the pipe beneath the sink is not connected properly, so water runs down, splashing your feet. Aside from that, the toilet and showers were great, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Tbh, I don’t want to share this review because I am afraid it will be very difficult to book a site in this beautiful place. This campsite is so tranquil and beautiful. Although it’s not easy to describe, I’ll try my best. We had such a great time during Easter weekend and most of the time we just sat around the fire pit and shared stories. The place was managed by the volunteers so it is very important we protect the grass, respect the rules and take care of the amenities. There are 5 toilets and 2 laundry facilities. Camp kitchen hasn’t been taking care so it’s recommended to bring your own fire pit or gas. They provide tank water and hot water is available. We did bring our own water and we did not encounter any problems during the stay. There is a sink outside of the toilet which we used for dish washing. Bins are in front of the toilets and it’s important to clean the site before leaving. Prevent loud noise after 10pm and before 7am. The period after sunset and before sunrise, the condensation is pretty bad. We learned from the experience so we managed to improve the situation from day two. We want to show our appreciation to the community to give us a wonderful experience in Walhalla. It’s a great idea to take a walk from the campsite to train station and taking time to understand the history of this town. For each museum, donation is welcome and taking the train to Thomas is a definite choice. I hope they will have more bookings but also hoping everyone who visit will respect the site and take a good care of it.

Great location. Camp site really good and well maintained. Easy access in and out. Nice little town to visit. Shower and toilets very clean. Staff who came were very friendly as were the other campers.

We camped on the north field which you need a 4 X 4 to access. Sites are generously sized, camp ground is grassy and well kept. Getting to the toilets requires a short but very steep walk.

Given we stayed at the end of May it was a great place to camp and the facilities are very good and well maintained. The ground wasn't too wet even after the rain we had over night!

Walhalla is a Great hidden gem. The Chinese gardens is a Campsite is slightly out of town which is great but there is free camping in the middle of town. However Toliets and showers are clean as is the bbq area so you get quality creature comforts for your coin. Creek runs around the whole site but just watch out for those pesky leaches.
