Chinggis Khaan Hotel

I know its an old place, and have some comfortable homey rooms. But this time the whole hotel, the reception was off.. did not pick up phone, and had no water, only two small bottles. And try having stuff in the minibar, for the price. Almost died of dehydration… reception and normal phone numbers wasn’t picking up, then was quick to knock door loudly in morning.. sorry i had to have this experience with one of my favorite hotels… hope they improve…

A hotel that’s full of history, VIPs from around the world who visit Ulanbataar stayed at this historic hotel. The room is a bit dated but still a great place for vacation. Will definitely stay here again when coming to Mongolia.

This hotel, while boasting clean and pleasant rooms at a reasonable price, suffers from an outdated and somewhat creepy ambiance, particularly at night. The property could benefit from renovations to modernize its appearance. Although the staff is generally polite, their level of helpfulness may leave something to be desired

This is a classic hotel. It is a bit old, but it is dignified and well maintained. Classic beds and furniture give you the comfort of home. In particular, the kindness and warmth of the staff has never been felt in other hotels. It's not an exaggerated kindness. I felt protected and comfortable, just like in my own home. The front desk staff accepted my request with a warm and sincere heart. Especially the manager Ganzorig is an angel who takes care of my difficulties. It is a sample of the hospitality spirit of the hotel....He makes this hotel more special. ..This hotel is home away from home..The best hotel that takes care of its guests...I highly recommend...

They charged me $36 (120,000) for a load of laundry. Ridiculous.

While in Ulan Bataar on a business trip, I stayed at the Chingiss Khaan Hotel. The room, amenities, and helpful staff all made this a very pleasant hotel to stay. ||||1. The breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was excellent. ||2. The staff spoke English and Russian very well, which is essential for those of us who do not speak Mongolian. ||3. My special thanks to Mega at the front desk who helped me with getting around the city, finding restaurants, a hospital and helping me to book my return airline ticket home. ||||Thank you!

I had a great time here at the Chinggis Khaan Hotel. The staff is friendly and speaks English fairly well to order taxi for me to go to the places I want to go. Room is clean and comfortable with a bathtub, coffee and tea facilities in the room and 24 hrs room service. ||My first night here, I tried to put the air condition on but it turned out to be the heater. The aircon of the hotel is not switched on in Spring even though the room temperature may be quite warm. I was on the 8th floor but the window of my room was wired in so there was no hope of opening the window to let the air flow. The receptionist was very concerned that was uncomfortable, the next day they changed my room and it became quite pleasant after that.||Breakfast was good with continental and Mongolian breakfast consist of Porridge (rice or oat), savoury dishes and fruits with yogurt. Coffee and tea included. Bread and some times croissants or cakes. I stay here a week and not much variation in the breakfast choices but I do love the occasional seaweed soup for breakfast.||There is a gym with serious body building gym instructors who are always willing to come and help you.and Guests may use the gym freely but the swimming pool is always booked by classes and for the week I was here, I was not able to get in even or a quick swim. Sauna is under service. The Sky-mall attached to the hotel is not in operation yet. However, the hotel is right next to the Emart and have fairly good food court within the supermarket.||There is also a Ballroom but mostly for private functions.||Chinggis Khaan Hotel is quite central to most attractions, very busy streets but the hotel is set quite a distance from the road so the rooms are quite.
