Chinggis Khaan Hotel

The location was perfect since it's nearby plenty of restaurants. Not exactly walking distance to famous spots in the city but fairly near. Staff were amazing and helpful at all times. Room was nice, a little old but cozy enough. Breakfast was good but after a couple of days of the same food, it gets less appetizing. I suggest alternative menus every other day. Overall, i had a very pleasant stay.

Nice hotel in the heat of Ulaanbaatar. They are one of the very old well maintained hotel. Everything was nice during my stay except they missed to do room service and it seems like a oversight by the service incharge. After complaining with reception they immediately arranged for it. So kudos to their revellers service.

The room team was mediocre at best. However, the front desk was spectacular. In particular Tannarchy went above and beyond to take care of us and help us try to locate our lost luggage. Her kindness and attention to us was an extraordinary. Thank you!

I had a very pleasant stay at Chinggis Khaan Hotel. The lobby and common areas feel elegant and welcoming, and my room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything you’d expect from a top hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Breakfast offered a wide variety of Mongolian and international options, and the staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient even during a busy weekend. One small downside: although we were two guests in the room, the hotel provided only one key card, explaining that they were “sold out” and had no extras available. It wasn’t a major problem, but it was inconvenient when we wanted to come and go separately. Overall, it’s an excellent place to stay—comfortable, well-located, and very professional—just hope they add a few extra key cards to match their otherwise high standard.

I stayed at this hotel twice in August 2025 and was very happy with my choice. The room was spacious and well maintained — you can tell it’s not brand new, but it’s kept in very good condition. I would also like to highlight the bed quality — it was amazing and felt especially comfortable after our long hike and nights in tents. As a group leader, I also had some logistical tasks to take care of, and the front desk manager Tanna, along with the rest of the team, were extremely helpful and communicated very well (which can be rare in Ulaanbaatar). Their support made a big difference. The only drawback for me was the location — it’s about a 20–25 minute walk to the city center. On the positive side, there’s a large supermarket and a department store close by. Overall, I think this hotel offers very good value for money, and I’d be happy to stay here again.

I love this hotel, if ever i will go back again to Mongolia i will stay here again. This is one of my most memorable trip, also love the breakfast buffet but kindly add more options. This trip is so unforgettable, it is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in my life.

I booked the triple sharing room, with 2 separate toilets and shower areas. The rooms are spacious, with nice views overlooking the Soviet style housing. Chanced upon the Raccoon Thrift Store across the road, with many nice clothing and bag items. Lots to explore around the area!
