This is my favorite Korean Restaurant in Toronto. Before pandemic, I always went to this restaurant after worship. These days, as the weather became more and more colder, I missed it so much. Thus, I drove half an hour from North York to visit it.
The chef (and owner as the same time) is a very gentle and friendly old lady. She used to run a Korean BBQ restaurant nearby Highway 7, but she was retired serval years ago. However, she thought she can stop being busy as she loves cooking very much. Therefore, she insists her favor and dream - - - to bring the real Korean home taste to people.
According to our conversation, I realized that all cuisines including side dishes (you must try her fish cake and kimchi) are home made. Every morning, she comes back to her restaurant earlier and prepares all food by herself as she wants to make sure everything fulfils her standards.
Sometimes, she will ask her daughter to help her take video to teach people how to cook authentic and traditional home-made Korean food as she does not know how to operate computer. Thus, there is not any social media advertisings for this restaurant (only a page of Facebook). People come to here because they know here (just like me).
I highly recommend you guys especially living in the north of Toronto, such as Richmond Hill, Aurora, New Market - - -but this restaurant deserve you drive half an hour to visit.
Recommended food: Tookbaegi Bulgogi, Kalbi, Bibim Bap. I need to say, you will find the signature difference from other Korean Restaurants.
OMG, I cannot wait to visit next time.
