Chinpracha House

What an absolutely wonderful experience. We were given a free guide by the current owner of the house, who gave us such detail on his family and the history of the house and the peak of tin mining in Phuket. We felt very lucky for him to give his time! I'd recommend a visit to the house/ museum to anyone!

Authentic Sino Portugese house. Absolute highlight was our guide (the latest generation of the owners, I think generation 6). He was super knowledgeable and explained the history of the Chinese in the region with historic links going back to Macao and more recent links to Penang. Thank you so much!

It’s very interesting how one family has influenced a lot of history of Phuket. The house is very interesting, but the price of 150฿ for 4 rooms and a 10 min tour is a bit steep. However. It is worth the visit.

What a cute little stop for a phuket town tour. 150 Baht entrance. Come before noon. Take the tour. You can have your pics taken with traditional clothing at the end.

I really enjoyed visiting this place as it connects Penang peranakan to the Phuket Peranakan. It is interesting to see how similar the building and interiors look including all the objects found in the household. I highly recommend visiting this house for some insight into Peranakan culture.

I really recommend it. I love a house museum. The guide (Arm) is really nice, explains everything about the mix of thai and chinese culture. He is really funny and kind.

Such a lovely museum! You can feel the warmth and inviting atmosphere by looking at the antiques furniture and vintage pieces of this family. Thank you for the opportunity to see this beautiful home - mix of Chinese, Thai and western styles 🤩 The guides were super nice and knowledgeable and told us interesting stories in English ♥️

It’s live museum which means the owners still live there upstairs. Surprisingly, we received a tour by the owner (it was not sth we expected, as she gathered us during our wandering around the house and proposed that she can tell us more about the place). It was really interesting, she explained to us a lot about the house and her family, we could feel a lot of positive energy. I think it was one of the most interesting museums I’ve visited. For me it’s must visit while in Phuket old town area.
