Chipotle Mexican Grill

Every time I order online from this location something is wrong or missing. When I’ve gone into the store and order, the vibes have been rancid and if something is wrong no matter how politely you correct them you receive attitude in return. Last time I ordered from the Delaware location the chips were so soggy and oil coated there was a pool of oil soaked through the chip bag onto the lid of my bowl. Decided to give this location one more chance today and the guac received on the side and on my bowl were so rock solid and inedible it could hardly be classified as food anymore. Not only that, but ordering double carne asada lead to receiving all of 5 pieces of steak on my bowl. Somehow this place manages to get worse every time i go back.

Ordered food through delivery service. Now Chipotle says I have to file complaint through them, instead of chipotle. Not their fault. Ordered Tacos, label on meal says “Tacos”. Problem is, they didn’t put tacos in the meal. Only the toppings. And now I have to jump through hoops to get it resolved. Can’t even call the store. This place used to be better.

Since im in this particular area on a weekly basis, I tend to stop at this location regularly as well. The food is always fresh amd delicious, the place is always clean, the staff are friendly and chill for being mostly high school/college students. My ONLY complaint is that the restrooms do not offer changing tables which is important to me as a mom of a toddler. If they install one, ill change this review to 5 stars in a heartbeat.

Sadly, reviews on portion size are true. See my photo for what I opened my lid to — I ordered double chicken and received less of a portion than I would on a single serving. I’ll sometimes get Chipotle 2-3x a week for convenience. Having just moved here, I was excited this location is just a few minutes away. Sadly, I won’t be back and will have to find non-Chipotle alternatives for this disappointment excuse for a serving.

This chipotle falls short for us almost every time. We’ve had several take out orders to find missing items or incorrect order by the time we get home with the food so we don’t order to-go anymore. Last time we ate in the restaurant and the bowls hardly had any rice. Wish we had a better chipotle here in Delaware because we’d visit way more often! I kept giving this place chances. Just read through other reviews which confirmed it’s pretty much a consistent bad experience for others as well.

No brown rice, no quac, no CHEESE. Asked to label them c1,c2, c3,c4 they label just a c so I grab the marker after I say something as they walked away then the front counter girl rudely to scream at me no just down right terrible would not have been so bad if girl wasn't so down right rude over it put what I asked and have SIMPLE ITEMS ON LINE worst experience at a chipotle I've ever had especially for a 7pm order 👎

Went inside to pick up my order at my pickup time for the order. My order wasn’t at the pick up counter so I went to the register and asked about my order. The lady stated that there are two orders ahead of you so there will be a. 10-20 minute wait for my order. There was only one lady in line at the time and the store did not appear short staffed. After 15 minutes of waiting, I got my bowl which I could’ve sworn weighted almost as much as an empty bowl with napkins. I have frequented this location but sadly I will not be back.

Love the employees, they're always friendly. But this location often runs out of items. They close at 11 but sometimes they're out of chicken or meat by 8 or 9pm. They've been out of cheese for a week now, this week. If they didn't consistently run out of items, this store would be a 10/10

This was my first time eating chipotle EVER and lowkey it's alright like nothing that's gunna get you bricked up but maybe a little hard. Lowkey the seating here wasn't really good like the booths or whatever stone hard like a stone so not very appealing. The service honestly was like the Columbus bluejackets you easily forget them which isn't bad just idk they're just there. But overall for my first time at chipotle not bad but not good #mid kinda

Today while I was in line, I witnessed a cashier blast a customer over a side item he was willing to pay for. Instead of simply charging it as a side, she tried to charge him for a full-price burrito. On top of that, the cashier made rude comments like "you're lucky I'm at work if not...," which is completely unacceptable. What made it worse was that management was standing right next to Adyson, the cashier who made the comments and faces, and said nothing. Very disappointing experience and unprofessional behavior from both the cashier and the management.

They cook some great fresh food staffs friendly helpful atmosphere good ambiance is casual services are good and they are good for a community

I've read all the reviews for this location and I don't know why but I thought it couldn't possibly be that bad ... boy howdy was I wrong. They were out of ingredients and absolutely DGAF about letting people know. The portion they gave was criminally small, I'm talking like, they tried to put 1/3 a cup of rice into our bowls and push it forward, we had to ask for more like the orphan child Oliver. It was embarrassing. All of that was bad enough, but the staff was miserable. I feel for them, it's not their fault the management of this location is cheap and negligent. However the woman running the checkout was an absolute nightmare. I had wanted guac and the person putting the food together hadn't heard me so I asked while she was ringing us up to add it and she rolled her eyes, sighed and snapped at the guy to fix it. Then, when I asked for chips while she was ringing us up, she got mad we needed anything extra that she slammed the bag onto our tray and into our food, including straight into a pile of sour cream. I loudly said "please don't do that, it's right in our food and it's getting all over the bag" which is a MAJOR issue because my son has severe dairy allergies, and she just ignored me and told us what we owed for the food. I had to run over to the table to dump the chips out before the sour cream soaked into the bag and made them inedible for him. It was unbelievable and I watched her be as rude to every single customer who came after us. Won't be back to this location, you should believe the reviews. Spend your money anywhere else unless you're super into sparse food portions being shoved at you by a rude person.

Staff was very rude especially the cashier. The food was nasty and inedible. I tried talking to the cashier about it and she just stared at me.

Got on the app to order food for dinner this evening. Was going to have it delivered. $12.00 for a quesadilla I don't have a problem with. What I do have a problem with is the service fees for online order and convenience fees. And this is before I even get to the tip. You have lost my business. And no I will not contact you on your website as nothing ever gets done.

I really love chipotle and i JUST ordered it in person, and while i was eating i found a piece of what looks like blonde hair on my bowl. I have black hair so there's no way that it's mine. I also tried calling the store and chatting with AI and they needed a receipt which i don't have

This chipotle is a joke you walk in try to order a large cheese quesadilla and they tell you to go online to do it which makes no damn sense. Why you go online and order it when the lady stand right in front of you any other chipotle, you have no issues just this one.

Literally the worst chipotle I've ever been to. Rude staff, food was inedible and ran out of cheese on a Friday night at 730.

Trash , make you're own food . These places we thought we could count on , they're failing . Lazy staff , short on most supplies . Plain garbage preparation of food.. no pride .

Stopped on our way through town. I ordered through the app and everything was done to perfection. I went in 10 minutes before my pickup time and the order was already done. Restaurant is clean and lots of seats. Good job!

Worst Chipotle I have ever had. I ordered carry out through the app: burrito bowl was barely half full with hardly any meat and food was cold. Wasn't worth the money I paid. Very disappointed with this location.

Don't order online they will scam you of ur food, you get barely anything. I had it happen twice. always get it in person.

The portions at this chipotle are terrible. The revived less than half the normal amount of food in my bowel when I asked for more they then said they have to charge for double so I said that's fine because I wanted a normal sized portion after they "doubled" the amount of food it was still less than what's normal at other locations I do not recommend this location at all

The guacamole was fantastic today at lunch! Just thought you should know. Customer service is always great.

I'm so disappointed with my order today. lol. At this burrito included - it was half the size and square. I ordered a burrito bowl for my son so we can make multiple burritos and paid for the extra protein - didn't get the extra. The shells I paid for were literally ripped up and jammed into aluminum foil and my tacos were inedible because everything was squished out into the foil. Contacted customer support and they were like oh hey!! Sorry for not being happy with your meal! We will let the restaurant know. I asked for a replacement burrito and taco shells and the bot was like "oh hey!! It's you again". I spent $55 on three meals. Never again.

i mobile ordered, and my shoelace probably weighed more than my bowl. dont mobile order guys

I stood in line for probably 10 minutes.. I saw probably 10 employees.. not another single customer in the building.. I was never greeted or helped while literally standing by the white rice.. very disappointing culture that's been built in there.

Finally got a manager that orders enough stuff, no more notes hanging door telling you what you are unable to add to your order. Here is the issue when did Chipotle start using pre-sliced cheese. It hard and full of wax. I thought Chipotle was a fresh option.

We live near here so when we order in the Chipotle app this is the location that makes it. Almost every time the order is half full, but tonight was the worst. I ordered a chicken bowl and it came without chicken or fajita veggies (see the order on the lid in the picture). This is just ridiculous to send to a customer. If you're out of ingredients just cancel the order, don't send it half empty and think we won't notice. Chipotle corporate refunded me thankfully, but this locations service is truly very poor.

thought about a one here but I got the bear minimum in food and service. The one time I did not read yelp before going, I could have saved myself the trouble. First there are signs that they cannot do cash unless you have exact change. No big deal but thought if you can take exact change you might be able to make change. Food was OK, place was dirty, and with an 85 on the health rate I see why. I predict Chipotle is on the e way out, cannot find any location over a 2 in my areas. I won't be back

The absolute worst Chipotle i've ever been to. Every and yes EVERY worker was rude! Meat was burnt and hard, you can tell this was left over meat. Would not recommend this location.

I asked for brisket on my burrito and there wasn't any in the tub so the guy went in the back and got a new tub of it. Then he took a tiny little plastic container and half scooped it with brisket and put it in my burrito. He immediately walked away with the brisket before I could ask for a real portion. The next guy slid my bowl down and started asking me what else I wanted on it so I just went with it. There was seriously less than 1 mouth full of brisket in my entire burrito. Probably 5-10 prices. And they're charging almost 13 dollars for this. Aside from this experience the portions are getting smaller and smaller and the employees are talking and moving super fast to try to rush you out even when there's nobody in line. Today there was nobody behind me and they rushed me through and then while I was eating they were all on their phones right in front of the food when nobody was ordering.

The staff tonight was excellent! Everyone was really friendly. We had good laughs, especially about the chickens lol! Great staff and great food.

I can't believe I'm writing a negative. One bad experience (cash only), after another (card only this time), to no soda, to rude employees, I guess this is on me after giving try after try. Horrible, every. Single. Time.

Don't come here very rude. They need a retraining done as the employees don't know the correct amounts to use per entree.

The last couple of orders have been bad. Mobile orders always get way less food than when eating in. I never thought anything of it until today I got half a bowl worth of food for the same price as a regular bowl, and so did my sister. Our bowls looked like someone had put a metal sheet in the middle and only filled one half. Don't get me wrong the food still tasted great, and I'm not trying to sound like a typical fat American, but we paid full price for 2 bowls and got barely enough food to fill one bowl. The amounts of food have been consistently dropping for the past few months and today it hit an all-time low. Please change something!

Worst customer service and food. This will be the last time we visit this location. We arrived shortly after they opened. We were the first in line with two people waiting on to go orders. We asked for two large drinks with our order. The soda machine was not properly working and we informed the young lady at the cash register. She told us it would be a while before it would fixed. No biggie, obviously this was not her fault. We then asked if we could just have a juice instead because we already paid for drinks. She asked the manager to which the answer was no. Okay fine, can we just be refunded our money for the drinks? After asking the manager again the young lady said that was fine but we need to wait another 10 minutes because the manager was extremely busy. NOT A SINGLE CUSTOMER THERE AT THE TIME! Needless to say, we walked out without being refunded and nothing to drink. Two soft drinks are not going to make or break us, but the poor customer service and the lack attention to a seemingly easy solution rubbed us the wrong way. When we returned home to eat our food, it was cold and tasteless. Clearly it was not fresh. Possibly the food left over from the night before? I'm not sure, but it was awful. This is the closest chipotle location to our home, but we will drive a bit further for quality food and service moving forward.

Avoid this chipotle. They have snotty teenagers working here who are rude and clearly hate their jobs. They rushed us through the line commenting that we should know what we want since we were waiting in line so long. Then when I get to check out a short girl with dark hair and acne all over her face was so incredibly hostile towards me that I was immediately uncomfortable as she waved her hands in my face while speaking to me. I contacted customer service about this experience but for this reason I will never return to this chipotle location. Their staff really need to go through additional customer service training. ;(

Our team ordered a large order and all of them were basically empty and missing ingredients. They put no effort in our food and the presentation was even worse. It's so bad that it seems extremely intentional. My dog wouldn't even eat this. This isn't even good enough to form a turd.

I go to this Chipotle often (not sure why), but they're never consistent on their servings, I'd say 80% of the time they give small portions of everything (especially protein) , the order I received yesterday I was able to pull the protein out and it was smaller than a golf ball size, this isn't just protein, but rice and any other selections. Outside of the small portions the place is clean and relatively quiet. I'd like it if they'd just be consistent on their serving sizes, if it's always small portions that's fine, then customers will be aware of what they're getting, I know that's probably impossible since "younglings" are slopping the different sides in. But for some reason I always feel like i get cheated eating at this place.

I LOL'ed. Took the picture and then walked out. I decided I could make tortilla, rice, and beans at home if that's all I'm getting! This is how it's been at this chipotle for the past year and half. I've stopped trying to understand. Never go to this chipotle.

Avoid this Chipotle like the plague. I would leave 0 stars if I could. Flavor profile is off entirely, food is crusty (and not in a good way), manager doesn't understand proper safety & sanitation guidelines; the line cook will skimp you on portion sizes if you don't say anything. I travel all 48 states and have never been to such a poor quality location as this one. Y'all need to try harder

This is absolutely the worst chipotle in the country !!! I love chipotle and work 2 mins away . I can't even eat there anymore . Nothing is ever right and never ever have half the menu items . They told me you have to get there early on the morning to get veggies !!! Unreal !!!! Terrible , service !!! Bad managers

I drove 15 minutes to arrive at the location and find a sign taped to the door saying they are closed. Wasted time, had issues with this location before. Disappointed with how far chipotle has fallen.

Why is this location soooooo bad? I am such a huge Chipotle fan but like others here I regularly drive an extra twenty minutes through heavier traffic to go to the Chipotle in Lewis Center. Last night I was on a tighter schedule so I ordered pickup for 7:15pm from the Delaware location. I arrived at 7:10 and proceeded to wait (and inquire every ten minutes) until 7:45. There were some six or seven employees serving fresh food to incoming customers but no one could tell me when my 7:15 order would be ready. They just kept saying "it's coming." It wasn't even anything insane! Just chicken tacos! Finally they hand me my order at 7:45 and I rush home to find it is missing over half the ingredients (lettuce, cheese, salsa, corn) and the portions were incredibly tiny. Oh my god, how do they manage to be so terrible? They are just the absolute worst location I've been to.

This place is great! As long as the brown rice is cooked perfect ! Hunter, Travis, & Brandon all do such a good job helping me out !

I love coming here I always get there cheese quesadilla with white rice on the side there food always smells so good I could literally get us every day it's just so amazing and so good I recommend coming here.

I did a mobile order around 6:00 and I was there by 6:30 and the order wasn't ready until 6:45. They also forgot my fork so I had to drive bad and get one.

Screwed up and tried again on 2-25-2022. After waiting in line and starting our order no white rice, no steak which is what all three of us wanted. Didn't even make it past the protein area and we left without anything. Don't understand why this location remains open.

My hubby and I get takeout from here about twice a month. Orders are always correct & pickup is timely. Only complaint is that compared to other Chipotles, the meat is way too salty. One time, so much, we thought about not ordering again, but it is a little better.

Theres a lot of problems here. Theyre out of basic ingredients pretty often, the service is bare minimum, and it is terrible to doordash from. It is amazing how many times I go to pick up an order and they simply don't have it in their system when doordash told me to go there. It isnt any use asking for help from the workers. I asked a worker if my order was being worked on and they said yes, and I waited 25 minutes and nothing came. I just left. I usually just leave at this point when an order doesnt come out because asking for help does nothing. I've never had any issue like this at ANY other store.

Be sure to skip this place, even if Door Dash delivers from there. Worst steak bowl ever. All gristle and no meat. Just awful.

This is the 3rd time I have gotten raw chicken from 23 Delaware location! 3 strikes you're out!

Ordered using the app. Said my order would be ready at 6:30. When I arrived there was a large group of people waiting for their pick up orders. Finally received my order at 7PM. I did not get an apology from staff for my order being 30 minutes late. I get all the way home to find out they for got my chips that I ordered. Food was cold and subpar. I would not recommend ordering from this store.

Came back to try again and they are out of chips...white rice.. lettuce... shut this shithole down already
