Chippy's Omaha

Extremely impressed with this place! I ordered online, and the order was ready and hot at the time I specified. The prices are great, the food is great, the service is great! I ordered a Butter Beer, which is basically butterscotch flavored cream soda with a creamy foam on top (I didn't ask but this is my impression). Delicious. Also ordered a Corned Beef Pasty, which was unlike any pasty I've had around here before. It was crispy, flaky and hot with delicious insides. I just had to try the fish and chips as well. The fish batter is super tasty. The chips are steak fries. You can elect to get it with vinegar added, which I did. Comes with a little wooden pick for eating with. Lastly, I ordered one of my all time favorite sweet pastries - the egg tart. I've not seen them around town much, so was excited to pick one up. They're simple, but flaky little egg custard filled "mini pies". I've primarily seen them at the Asian market or when eating with Chinese friends at their homes. I'm glad a local shop has them. I'll definitely order all of these again in the future. I also want to try some of the other menu offerings including Scotch Eggs and other pastries. They also have lots of other British grocery items and collectibles. Not to mention their door is made to look like the iconic Red Phone Booth. I needed a British Shop in my life. Glad to have heard about this one.

Was looking for Afternoon tea for my Aunt and I to enjoy and found Chippy’s. I’m so thrilled that I did. It was fabulous and the people fantastic. We had an awesome experience and even did some shopping in the store before we left. Wish they had Chippy’s in Oklahoma!!!! A BLAST!!!!

A Proper British Lunch Experience 🇬🇧🐟🍟 Stopped by Chippy’s British Fish and Chip Shop for lunch with a friend, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. We both ordered the classic fish and chips, and the fish was spot on—not overly fishy, just fresh with a great flavor and a crispy golden batter. The old-fashioned steak fries were thick, hearty, and served the traditional way with vinegar and salt—nostalgic and satisfying. To top it off, we grabbed a British candy bar for dessert, which added a fun and authentic touch to the meal. The younger gentleman working the counter was incredibly welcoming, greeting every customer as they walked in and keeping things moving efficiently. Overall, it was a great experience with solid food, friendly service, and a cozy vibe. Already referred a couple of friends to check it out, and I’ll definitely be back for another round!

Absolutely love this place. Thankfully I was thrifting nearby and search for highly rated food near me. Everything I had was delicious really like the lemon tart and the scotch egg! They have so many different unique candies and treats highly recommend checking it out.

The second you walk in the door it is like you took a portal to the UK. The store is constantly rotating items on the shelves, so you have to take a look at the list they have posted up if you are looking for something particular. Their made to order food is fantastic! The sausage rolls, both fresh and frozen, are amazing as well. If you try the fish and chips, you must also try their curry sauce for dipping. You won't be disappointed, and it's not spicy so don't worry. The owner moved from the UK to America so it's as authentic as it gets, and they are extremely friendly and very helpful when suggesting dishes if you are trying something new. There isn't a ton of seating so be prepared for that, but it sounds like the owner is working on expanding into the space next door to house more people that are looking to dine in. Parking has never been an issue either, which is always a plus. I highly recommend checking this place out!!!

A wonderful hole in the wall. It has many British snack food options as well as a full menu. The owner is very nice and fun to talk with! The fish and chips were authentic and very tasty! The batter was flaky and the chips were hot! The frozen sausage rolls were also amazing to take home and bake. We also had a pot of tea which was flavorful. I will definitely be coming back to try some new stuff!

I’m happy this place in Omaha and we are better because of it. I had the pleasure of stopping here for lunch today and I’m so glad I did. To be perfectly honest the fish and chips were probably not something I’d order again. Just personal preference the portion size was fine. I do want to try some desserts when I return. The treats selection was phenomenal though. The lady working the store, Karen, was just a joy to be around and I’m so happy to have met her and shared some conversation with. I was able to pick up some candies for my boys to try when they get out of school. I’ll come back for sure!

What a treat to be able to go get a few messages in - Glenn the owner is very welcoming and my son Noah was very happy with the chocolate cake & custard ! I picked up lots of sweets including Bob bons / rhubarb & custard & Alpen & the real crème eggs ( they are different & better 👍 ) & not to mention a score in breakfast items like black & white pudding , rashers & sausages - and also some sausage rolls - they’ll keep me going for a while I’ll be back for sure - next time I think I’ll have the fish & chips ( w mushy peas of course 😂👍 ) There is so much to choose from is pained me leaving half the store in Omaha - the other half was in my car on the way back home 🏡 😂 Chippys is the best 🇬🇧 🇮🇪 Irish Brian @ ( Platte Valley Auto Ford Kearney Ne )

The fish & chips and mushy peas here did not quite meet my expectations. Mushy peas had no flavor and were more like whole peas in green soup. The chips were not very flavorful and a bit undercooked. The fish was pretty good, I would give it a 7/10. It was almost $20 for the full order of fish & chips with mushy peas. Not a bad price if it all tasted a little better. It also didn't come with tartar sauce, I didn't realize I had to ask for that separately? They were friendly and the service was good. It was about a 10-15 minute wait for my order. I liked how they had lots of British products in their shop like haggis, bangers and clotted cream. I would come back to purchase these types of products.

What a hidden gem for real fish and chips! I have never been to England so I can't speak for authenticity, but I haven't had better fried fish than here. They explain up front how it's cooked, how long it will take (at least 40 minutes), and how to season it or what sauce to use. I'm partial to tartar sauce so I went for that. Super crunchy outside, and a warm flakey fish on the inside - just how I like it! The chips were not to my liking, but that's because they are not like typical French fries. They are softer more potato like texture (they explain on their menu and online). Instead, I tried their sausage roll which is a sausage wrapped in a flakey pastry. Absolutely delicious! And what meal would be complete without a biscuit and jam? Definitely recommend warming it up first then adding your butter or jam. To note, there is not a lot of seating inside, so we took our food home and it was still just as good. They offer a variety of other options in the restaurant/store as well when you stop by. Highly recommend a visit!

I went here for lunch during a trip to Omaha. I had sausage and chips with a tea. There is a table with eight chairs in the middle of the store. I ordered my food (it was a tough decision because everything sounded so good) and wandered around the store checking it out. Food came out after a few minutes. The first bite of sausage was so good. It definitely made me miss England immediately. Everything was delicious. I will be back. May even make a special trip to Omaha just to go here.

Got an English breakfast, a sausage roll, and fish and chips. All great! The staff were really lovely too.

All I can say was what an absolute disappointment. The wife and I decided to order breakfast to dine in ahead of time for St Andrews day. Set the order for 1015. Shop doesn't open until 1030. No big deal so we waited in our car until opening. Once they opened, we didn't get our food until 1050. Everything was cold. Nothing was house made and most, if not all, was what I assumed microwaved. We ordered two English full breakfast. The tomatoes were canned diced tomato's instead of a traditional tomato half that is grilled a wee bit. Egg was rubbery. Meats were slightly warmed up in the microwave, and toast was a cold. The rest we decided to not even attempt. We also ordered a sausage pasty to introduce my wife to them. It was premade and again, warmed up in the microwave. You could tell because the pasty was raw dough on the bottom, showing it wasn't cooked all the way through. To top it all off. We ordered to milky coffee, for which cost of $8, and it was cold, despite the young lad telling me to be careful because it was hot. The entire breakfast cost over $60. If you are looking for proper British food, I would recommended anywhere but here.

Chippy's is a fun place to get items from the UK not found in most stores. We went there looking for squash, a fruit drink concentrate that we both had heard about. We didn't know exactly what it was and now we have a bottle or Robinson's in our fridge! Of course there's a lot more to look at and buy. They now have a small table and a couple of chairs so you don't have to take your hot sausage roll or Cornish pasty home to eat. The menu is extensive, with lots of savory and sweet treats from the UK. The shelves are loaded with canned goods, candy, biscuits( cookies) and a lot of Christmas items such as fruitcake. A small case also has frozen foods. In the past I have taken hot foods home to enjoy. The next time I'm in the mood for a bacon butty or Scotch egg, I'll just nosh there whilst enjoying a cupola.

Was really impressed with chippies. Service was wonderful. Food wasn't bad at all. Products I took home were great. Still enjoying them. Was like a step into England. Will be returning again, you have to try chippies.

Cute store, very clean and organized. We didn't find anything to purchase on our visit, but we also were going to be in the car all day so had to be choosy about things we might have been interested in. I hadn't visited before, it was smaller than I expected. I had hoped for more selection, but hadn't really checked into it to get a full idea of what products they carried.

Chippy's is going to save me so much money. My husband (from Nigeria) is picky about his candy and enjoys the kind he grew up with. I can't even sneak in US Cadbury, he can tell the difference. So for years he's been having it shipped from the UK. Shipping charges are no joke! Chippy's usually has all the candy he is looking for, as well as drinks and other items. Even our toddler loves the lollies. Thank you for making this available right in Omaha.

My wife and I stopped in about 2:00 on a Thursday. We had been by this place multiple times, but just never seemed to find the time to stop in. We are glad we did. The owner made suggestions, and explained how things differed in England. We both had the 2 piece fish and chips. The chips being wedges of potatoes. I tried a lemon-lime drink the owner suggested. We tried the balsamic vinegar and salt on the food, as suggested. We were both too full to try a desert. We purchased some chocolates after our meal. There were food and gift items form the United Kingdom, including England, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, and Australia. We plan on more than one return visits. We suggest you give it a try.

I was looking for fish & chips. Chippy's website offers "proper fish & chips", so I ordered some online a couple hours ago, which was easy enough to do. My wife and I arrived right when they were packing our to-go cartons and decided to eat our lunch right in the car. It was all bad. The chips had zero color and were quite undercooked. The fish itself tasted good, but the breading was somehow burned and doughy at the same time while flaking off the entire time I was trying to eat it. The tartar sauce consisted of two tiny packets, which was inadequate considering that breading had zero seasoning. The one star is for the fish. The rest of the place is probably fine, but, as a fish and chips place, it's bollocks.

The food was hot & tasty. The service was good. They were training new kids so it was a little nervous for then but they did well. The owner was there as well greeting all the customers. The only thing I wish they would change is where you eat at. Feels weird eating in the middle of the store. The chairs were a little uncomfortable but than again I am over 6 foot. All in all we had good food & got some really good merchandise.

I happened upon this place because my mother asked me if I've ever been there. I haven't, so, of course, I had to check it out. The first time I went, I went with my son and we got a couple of thing to eat for lunch as they advertised that they had a lunch menu. It was a little bit difficult to eat our lunch as there was only one table there and people were sitting there drinking tea. We really wanted to eat and shop after, so we went outside on the bench and ate really fast! Post lunch, which was actually good. We had the milkshakes (half since they fell off the bench), my son had a sausage butty and I had a cheese and onion pasty. They were really good. Anyway, post lunch, we went shopping. Inside, they have many things you may want if you've ever visited the UK. The delicious chocolates, jams, desserts and teas!They even have books, games, and puzzles! It's great! My son and I really love this place, I only wish it was a little bigger and I would totally lunch with my friends here all the time! I've heard they are opening more! I will definitely be checking it out!

Really neat and unique little shop! They offer candy and groceries (I spotted blood sausage in the cooler), pastries and drinks to- go, and even have an assortment of laundry and personal care items.

Most of the food is cheaper at world market I am British so l need my fix of food but l find Amazon is a great alternative to the very high prices The food is very bland and cold They should do alot better ( on such a basic menu )

Decent Cornish pasties Wide selection of goods We picked up some Lovemor mince pies, a jar of lemon curd, two jars of Marmite, and four boxes of Yorkshire tea. Oh -- and a couple of Bounty bars!

Great little shop w wonderful baked goods! Today I had tea there and it was lovely. Laura did an excellent job of making us feel welcomed. Highly recommend!!!

The kids enjoyed visiting a little taste of England here! A restaurant/convenience store themed with British favorites. We enjoyed a delicious raspberry tart and Butterbeer while the girls had ice cream. A very cute theme, something different.

Great food but incredibly slow service. The cashier would scan one item at a time and the bag each item before scanning the next. Not very effective if you have several people standing in line with 10-15 items each.

Awesome place! It's so amazing to be able to get all of my favorite British products right in my own backyard. I was absolutely thrilled to find the Kellogg's Honey Nut Corn Flakes here. I'd been getting them on Amazon with the exorbitant shipping prices to match! Thank you Chippy's!

This is definitely a good place to stock up on the good Cadbury chocolate. They have a large variety of different British snacks and chocolate bars. It's a cute shop and the service is friendly and helpful. I look forward to visiting for many years to come.

Since I've lived in England several years this was a great place. Small kitchen with small menu but it was very authentic. The tea was perfect. Lots of items for sale that brought back very fond memories.

I love this store/bakery! i stopped in for a cornish pasty, bakewell tart and fizzy lime and lemon- all were fantastic! i cant wait to go back and try something else!

I love this English shop. The selection is great and the baked goods are delicious. Very authentic. Wonderful reminder of home. I live in Lincoln, otherwise I would be shopping there all the time. Chippy's overall is a wonderful place, their food is good and so is their service. My only pet peeve is their lack of area to eat, there are only two tables.

This is a great spot to find snacks from across the pond. However, not for sausage rolls. Tasted like they were thawed and reheated.

Brought an order of "Bangers and Mash " to my Mum! She's been a picky eater for some time now, but this "taste of home" she really enjoyed! So did I! It's more than enough for 2 people to eat for a very satisfying lunch. The Yorkshire pudding was as good as my Mum used to make when she cooked a Sunday roast. The meal itself reminded me of one of my favorites served at the Sherlock Holmes Pub in London!! Perfect comfort food!

They have a large selection of grocery items and the bakery food is always delicious. The only one negative is they offer dine in but only have one table.

phony doubt if Gleen Greet has even been to England found the things in his store to be available all over Omaha but at a much much lower price the advertising on the news was all hype If this was an actual store in England it would not be in business and the food was like fast food who could not thaw out puff pastry and put a vegetable or canned fruit on it??? Was very disappointed if you want these items start with Dollar Tree, Aldi's or World Market better selection and much, much lower price. Also so many clueless customers in this very small space Covid petri dish. This place is a scam, fake and does not meet standards as advertised. Would love to find an authentic British place but this is not it. very disappointed in what I saw
