Neighborhood place sent from hotel. Best beef steak in 2 weeks in South America! Awesome bread and hummus and spreads. Had mini Malbec bottle. Steak made a perfect medium rare. So yummy.

We were here in 2023 and came back January 2025. Great meat, good wine and superb desserts. We shared one as the portion was enormous,

Ordered a plate of sides, very big portion, states it is for 2-3 people, thought I would say more like for 4. Service was amazing, mint and ginger limonade also very good! Only complaint with the food is that blood sausage was off (not good consistency), everything else was ok (SWEETBREAD WAS REALLY GOOD STRONGLY RECOMMEND!) 55000 lunch for three people with drinks.

Review for Chiquilín Chiquilín offers a classic Argentine dining experience with a warm, nostalgic atmosphere. The steaks are perfectly cooked, showcasing the rich flavors of grass-fed beef, and the empanadas are a must-try. The service is attentive and friendly, and the wine selection complements the menu beautifully. Highly recommended!

Amazing ribeye cooked to perfection. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly service. Very welcoming to a solo traveler even when the restaurant was clearly full. They do not rush you out the door.

Nice place. A serious restaurant selling a wide menu. Downstairs toilets with ceiling fan a bonus! Knock to get in. Not so expensive 👍

First visit and will not be my last. I arrived and was seated quickly. The waiter offered some suggestions and soon after my shrimp appetizer arrived. The flavor was excellent and the high standards continued through the entire meal. The steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I wrapped up this meal with a flan and offer a glowing review of the food as well as the service. If you are looking for top quality this restaurant should be on your list.

Yelp
They automatically bring you bread and then charge you for it. No one ordered it The Milanese was very dry, the purée (mashed potatoes) were good The steak was cooked perfectly The salad is simple lettuce tomatoes onions and you make your own dressing with olive oil and balsamic vinegar Nice wines, service was okay We flew in from Mendoza today. Tomorrow is bike riding and boat ride and seeing the city. And maybe tango show

Yelp
What a fantastic spot for date night! We sat by the perfect window, enjoying a view of the streets of Buenos Aires as we dined. Our waiter was warm and offered great suggestions for both entrees and appetizers. We started with the chorizo and empanadas. I thought I was done with empanadas for this trip, but I'm so glad I decided to try them here. They were tasty, flaky, and served at the perfect temperature. The meat was tender and moist. The chorizo was good, but the empanadas were definitely my favorite. The house chimichurri was phenomenal, and they also served complimentary bread and hummus. For our main courses, we had the short rib, a chorizo bistec, a side of arroz, and two huevos fritas. Although we may have overordered, this was by far the best steak I've had in Argentina. I've tried four different places searching for the best steak, and this one met all our expectations. It was savory, perfectly cooked, charred, and medio rojo. Next time, I'd skip the sides I tried this time and go for the potatoes au gratin instead. I would definitely return and recommend this place to friends.

Yelp
The service was very poor. The waiter did not pay attention to us at all. Charged us 100 service fee per person and asked for a cash tip. Also the waiter was talking about us to another customer, I can understand phrases in Spanish. So beware and double check your check so they don't overcharge you. The food was good. We ordered a mixed platter and the Lomo steak.

Yelp
One of the best classic restaurants in town. Don't let the horde of tourists turn you away, old school locals made this place what it is today. The food is amazing, everything that comes out of the grill is cooked to perfection and the pasta dishes are so big they recommend you share it. Desserts are simple but a must. You have to try the provoleta!!

Yelp
Really cool 100 year old building with a full, classic Argentine menu. Friendly and swift, delicious steaks and sides, and big wine list.

Yelp
We came here with our friends and the food and service is amazing. The Lomo steak was perfect. This place is worth coming to. Ask for Franko.

Yelp
Great wine, service. I had shrimp risotto and friends had the lomo steaks. Apparently very tender.

Yelp
I'm Argentine and I just spent 2 weeks in Buenos Aires after 12 years away. I tried everything I had missed all this time and I have to say this was my absolutely favorite restaurant. Authentic, traditional, non-touristy and amazing! The steak and suprema de pollo were amazing!! so happy to have found this place.

Yelp
Excellent steak, poor service. The sirloin steak I had was delicious. Other food was quite good as well. However, our waiter barely paid attention to us, refused to give us one check per couple, and was unable to properly use the credit card machine. I understand not being able to speak English in Argentina, but if only 1 person in the restaurant spoke a little English, we might have been able to solve the problem with the credit card in less than 20 minutes. A service charge of 180 pesos for four was added onto the check -- a lousy deal for poor service. I'm sure there are other steak houses in Buenos Aires with equally as good steaks and much better service. Americans, I suggest you go elsewhere.

Yelp
Hands down the most delicious steak I've ever eaten! I didn't want it to come to an end! Great service. Super friendly. The waiters have a good understanding of English if you a tourist. Just love it all. Not sure how the price comparison is to other places in the area, but considering my beer cost the same as my Starbucks coffee this morning I would say it's pretty good! Especially considering the quality of the meat!!!

Yelp
The resto looked good, service wasn't warm or special though. Thr fish they served me was average, but I think it was not cooked properly or even maybe bad because I just felt symptoms of food poisoning this morning and it was the only food I had last night. Too bad, wouldve wanted the experience to have been the positive-memorable kind
