Chiquita's Tamarindo

Unfortunately, this Mexican restaurant was a disappointment. First of all, the fans were blowing strongly directly onto the tables. We asked several times for them to be turned off or at least adjusted, but nothing was done. The food is expensive for what it is. We had seafood tacos, which were very small portions, especially considering the price, although the seafood itself was tasty. The chicken mole came in a more reasonable portion, but it was dry. It was also strange that while I was still eating my appetizer and there were only a few bites left, the plate was taken away without asking. There is only one female and one male restroom, which is not sufficient for a place of this size. On the positive side, the service was kind and there was pleasant live background music. Overall, it’s okay for a one-time visit, but it does not offer good value for money.

I am from Las Vegas and the attention to detail was very thorough and thoughtful. I absolutely loved this restaurant. It was my favorite out of all the dining options near Tamarindo Beach! I ate here 3 nights in a row. The ambience is truly breathtaking. The drinks and food were incredible. Muy delicioso! The staff is amazing too. Special thanks to Santos, Allison and Byron for making me feel special on my 40th birthday. Shout to the music 🎶 duo “On Vacation”! Lovely vibes! Pura Vida!

This restaurant was amazing. We went here two nights in a row for the delicious food and drinks. The vegetarian menu had top knotch options as well. Allison and Santos were incredibly friendly and polite. They are very sincere and welcoming. 12/10 recommend.

We recently hired Chiquita’s for our wedding. At our first meeting we saw pictures of what to expect. It looked amazing and we decided to go forward. On the day of the wedding , the smell of the food the presentation was so good. All our guests loved the presentation and the food quality. If you are having an event don’t hesitate using this company.

Had an amazing time! Gabriel and everyone was so kind and fun. They helped us learn more Spanish and taught us about local drinks and customs. Had an amazing time and can’t wait to go back!

Chiquitas was such a vibe! The atmosphere is very boutique feel. Chino and Santos was so kind and friendly. Chino made the best Espresso Martini I’ve had since staying in Costa Rica. Santos killed it with the Passion Fruit and Tamarindo Margarita. The food was amazing and fulfilling. We would definitely come back. Ask for Chino and Santos 🤪

Chiquito’s in Tamarindo is a must-visit if you’re in the area. The tacos were incredible—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. They definitely live up to the hype, and the restaurant does a great job promoting exactly what they deliver: great food in a laid-back, welcoming vibe. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm without being overbearing. On top of that, the drinks were phenomenal. Whether you’re into cocktails or just looking to cool down with something refreshing, they know what they’re doing behind the bar. Highly recommend if you’re craving great tacos, great drinks, and a solid atmosphere to kick back and enjoy the Tamarindo vibe.

Alison and Chino were super friendly and provided awesome service. The drinks were fantastic and the food was amazing! They even had a live reggae band playing while we ate dinner. Great ambiance!
