Chiquita's Tamarindo

The food was exceptional , the atmosphere is awesome. Those are goals every restaurant strives for. The staff, now that set them apart. They were fun, helpful and joked with us all evening. We had such a great time. They even taught us how to order our drinks in Spanish. Just a great experience. Highly suggest going here.

Amazing food and happening nightlife. The live music was lovely with dinner then the dj came on and the place was hopping. The servers were fantastic. Brian was wonderful, very helpful and attentive. The Bartender, Allison, was fabulous, she recommended and made the best cocktails. Will definitely be back next time I come through town.

Not sure how we’ve missed this gem the last few years visiting Tamarindo - will absolutely be back. Both the drink and food menus are so full of flavorful options (the Mezcalita drink options were INCREDIBLE; the mole was the best ever) and the service was impeccable. Such a fun, airy vibe with a surprisingly calm energy despite being right off the main drag! We loved it all!

I had the most incredible time at Chiquita Bar in Tamarindo, Costa Rica! The atmosphere was vibrant, and the live music set the perfect mood for the evening. What truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional service from the bartender, Stanley. He crafted some of the best cocktails I've ever tasted, and his friendly demeanor made the night even more enjoyable. The food was equally impressive, with each dish perfectly complementing the overall vibe of the place. The manager also went above and beyond to make me feel at home, which added a personal touch to the whole experience. It felt like I was a part of the Chiquita Bar family, not just a guest. If you ever find yourself in Tamarindo, this spot is an absolute must-visit for a night of amazing drinks, delicious food, and unforgettable live music!

My husband and I dined here on our last night in Tamarindo. Shocked at the quality of the food. Ambiance was lovely, they had delicious drinks (highly recommend the Mezcalita). And the whole shrimp and birria tacos were delicious! All the food was excellent and I would definitely come back again. They also had a great two person band playing “Nablo” that set the mood.

What a lovely hidden gem. Beautiful location, the service was outstanding! Food was amazing, and the live music was an added bonus! We were so stuffed after our apetizer and main, that we had no space for dessert. I will be back for the churros 🫶 Pura Vida

Honestly the best experience in Tamarindo. During our 7 days in Tamarindo we tried two new places a day to get a lay of the land for food. This is the only place I went twice. Juan Carlos, was our server the second night ajd provided impeccable service. Excellent manners, timely and provided a fun environment from start to finish. Gerald, served the first time and never ceased to amaze. Great manners, excellent recommendations. Honestly, the entire staff goes above and beyond to make the experience wonderful. Also, check out the live music for dinner service around 7pm. Thank you for the memories and great eats.
