As a devoted fan of congee, I can confidently say that this restaurant serves the best congee in the GTA. Their salmon congee is particularly outstanding, featuring a rich, savory broth that perfectly complements the tender, fresh salmon. Their fried shrimp dumplings are a must-try; the are flavorful and delicately prepared to perfection. One dish that really stands out is the garlic steamed chicken, which is uniquely prepared and bursting with flavor, jutat keep in mind, it's served cold. The service at this restaurant is exceptional; the staff is incredibly well trained and welcoming. They work at a fast pace while maintaining high standards of service, which is quite impressive. I highly recommend giving this place a try. It’s a hidden gem that outshines the larger, more well-known establishments in the GTA. You won’t be disappointed!

Very impressed with the quality and variety of dishes offered at this restaurant! Down to earth, hearty, authentic Cantonese comfort food, feels like grandma’s kitchen. Staff were very friendly too, we came within 1 hour of closing, and didn’t feel rushed to pick our items. One thing to note, the restaurant only takes cash, which is not unusual among small businesses, but you can email money transfer to the restaurant if you don’t carry cash, that’s what we did. Highly recommend! This small business is way better than Congee Queen!

Went here for dinner for the first time despite being around the area quite often. We usually just went to Chiu Chow Man but decided to switch it up today and it was quite a pleasant surprise. They also have a huge selection of food and everything was VERY good. The only one we were less than impressed with was the Dungeness crab, which was available on special. It was decently made I think but only tasted ok. Really loved the shrimp, the beef offals, brisket stew, and even the veggies. The servers really pressure you to order quickly so don't come here if you're just going to sit around and talk for extended periods of time but it didn't bother us too much. We would definitely come back again.

Google
This restaurant has been here for many years. Good congee/rice/noodle restaurant at affordable prices and reasonable portions. They are usually busy, so expect a short wait for a table during lunch times. Restaurant isn't that large, so seating can feel a little cramped. Servers are polite.

Google
Food is good, we had fried rice perfect seasoning but, fried squid was really salty, we ate a piece each with my husband. Shrimp dumpling is good too however the service is bad, as we prospect to choose two seats, they suddenly shouted from distance and forced us to seat on 4 seater. Didn't offer water for refreshment and as we are about to pay the bill also we were not aware that they are only accepting cash. So my husband needed to withdraw near the store. Lastly, they won't accept payment without tip.

Chi's Congee & Noodle House is located in the large Chinese mall with numerous Chinese restaurants. Having tried all the Chinese restaurants in the mall, I can confidently say that Chi's Congee & Noodle House stands out as the absolute best, not only for their Congee but also for their other dishes. The prices are lower compared to other restaurants and the taste is truly outstanding! I'm such a fan of their food that I visit Chi's Congee & Noodle House 1-3 times a week—my love for their dishes is evident. While I haven't had the chance to try everything on the menu yet, it's definitely on my list. Some of my favorites so far include the 72A fried rice with two kinds of sauce on top, the shrimp or beef with scrambled egg and rice, seafood rice noodle, seafood Congee, and chicken and mushroom Congee. Each visit is a delightful culinary experience! The staff is great, too.

Google
Food was great! Loved the curry rice and there's lots of options to choose from. The service is pretty bad however. A select few staff are very forceful especially during rush hour, where they make you share tables to with other parties. They will try to upsell you and make you buy more food. The parking is usually limited and the food prices are above average. The tea is pretty good here. Finally, it's important to note that they only take cash here which is very odd in my opinion.

Google
This is a very small and cozy restaurant, with limited seating. There's usually a wait but not enough space for a warm waiting area during the cold times. Interior is pretty intimate and atmosphere is nice. Another thing I really dislike is having to share a table with a couple. The couple was also rushed to eat even though they were seated not too long before my group of eight... but was fortunately transferred to another table when one table was free. On the other hand, the food comes out quite fast and tastes pretty good. Pricing is good as well and service was just okay. This place is good for sharing a variety of dishes. I recommend this place for their food.

Yelp
Delicious Chinese food mainstay in the Golden Square plaza. Once you order, food is quick to arrive. You'll notice this is the kind of place where people come to eat and then quickly leave. The tables change quite quickly. Food quality is consistent and delicious everytime. Some of our favourites: Shrimp and egg sauce on rice Xo fried rice noodle with beef Hot and sour soup Seafood with bean curd soup Pork chop with rice noodle in soup Garlic pea shoots Any of the congees

Yelp
Had lunch with my mother at this Chinese restaurant on a regular weekend. The food we got was Yeung chow fried rice and chicken congee with a hot milk tea. The food is amazing as always! The Yeung chow fried rice always hits the spot and better than others around the area. The congee and hot milk tea is without a doubt everything I expected, delicious and consistency was immaculate. The service is always underwhelming and lacklustre. Typically at lunch the fried rice comes with a drink however when I ordered the drink, the server never mentioned it wasn't part of the lunch menu. I only noticed I had to pay for it after the bill came. Whenever I came to dine in, the servers would always ask for more tips too. I wish this establishment was a bit more upfront and honest. Overall, I'd have to give a 6/10 just because of service. I will return and come back but don't expect good service.

Yelp
The portion was super generous and the package of the three dishes comes with multiple choices and soup as well. We liked the pan-fried oyster with honey. It was so delicious and the size of the oyster was huge. If we go back, we will try the pan-fried oyster with spicy sauce. Also, we got their signature congee. Congee is always our comfort food. The congee wasn't that good because the seafood wasn't fresh. After finishing the meal, they will give the complimentary oranges for you.

Yelp
This is one of my absolute favourite Cantonese restaurants in Mississauga. It is a small restaurant hidden away in a Chinese plaza with unassuming western style decorations. It staffed with older Chinese aunties who are so attentive. But the food is on par with Congee Queen or Congee Wong but so much more affordable. I especially love their noodle dishes with the perfect balance of wok hei and savoury flavours. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Lunch time today was packed and many people also ordered takeout too. The service was fast and food preparation was also quick. Our light lunch was extremely flavourful. Fav this meal was the seafood congee as well as the spicy shrimp & minced pork. Only cash accepted here.

Yelp
Got this to celebrate for my parents birthday. At around $25 per lobster (~1.25 lbs), this is a steal! If you buy over $50, you can get the HK style lobster for ~$13. I found the HK style lobster a bit too salty. I've never seen salted egg lobster before but was pleasantly surprised. The flavour evenly coated the lobster and was not overly salty. They also had a few pieces off salted egg at the bottom of the container as well. The green onion and ginger was good as well. I would recommend eating the lobster with white rice rather than fried rice to fully appreciate the flavour... I ate the fried rice the next day instead I also recommend asking for their chili oil This restaurant also sells really affordable combo sets as well (e.g. lobster, rice, soup, chicken). Everything is at a low price but great quality. The store is small but the menu is plentiful, and the employer was also really nice too It's also in the same plaza as a supermarket and Coco, so you can pick up your weekly groceries and bubble tea fix as well!

Yelp
I was picking up an order that someone else made. It's cash only and the waitress did not give me my change. When I asked her can you give me my change? She gave me $0.1 when she should have given me back $1.1. I just left and I will be actively telling people not to go to this restaurant. Not only is the food mediocre, they steal from customers. After checking their menu online, we realized we were double scammed. As the total price including taxes should have been $31.64 but they told me I owed $32.9. So sketchy and shady.

Yelp
Food is good but why the rating? Service is very bad. They favour more Chinese looking customers. We tried to reserve table For 10 for a bday but they placed us at a table where we were cramped but another table of Chinese people they placed them at a bigger table but it's only 6 of them. Their table was for 10. They serve food with their finger touching the dish. Some of the dishes came late and we were almost done eating. Very disappointing. They did not even apologize for delaying or forgetting our orders! There's also a server there that told us to hide on the tissue her tip so she doesn't have to share with others. No matter how good the food is, will never come back because of the very bad service!

Yelp
Yum! Lovely place, a bit mundane looking but definitely packed full of flavor and punch. Start with the weaker of the dishes - the Singapore rice noodle could have used a bit more curry, and a bit more curry powder to enliven the flavor. The fried turnip cake also needed some more flavoring, and definitely less oil in the wok! They deep-fried these things, which meant that the oil just percolated into the daikon / flour mixture. (Speaking of which, they needed more daikon). The leung mein wong with vegetables and beef was decent - arguably too much oil, but definitely tasty and the beef was tenderized, with tender vegetables to accompany. On to the really strong dishes: the jook (porridge) was yummy, with the fried accompanying donut to die for. The seafood pieces were nice and plump, the rice/liquid a perfect texture. The best of the meal was the beef tendon - so tender, melts in your mouth, with a nice gelatinous sauce accompanying the dish. Overall great place!

Yelp
Came here today for the first time for a quick lunch with my mom. At home, we can never get the perfect consistency that we find in restaurants so we often go out hunting for good congee places. We opted for the seafood super bowl congee ($13.50) which was definitely enough for 2 - 3 people. There was a surprising amount of fresh and tasty seafood in the congee; usually seafood congee has decorative seafood - that is, a few pieces of tasteless/salty filler items that help remind you it's seafood congee you're eating. But this congee had loads of seafood in it and all of them with different flavours. The consistency/texture of the congee was also very good. Thick without being overly slimy and very smooth; the rice + water were perfectly merged together. I was impressed by this trip to Chi's Congee since it's such an understated and small store. It's a solid place for congee. Great pricing, portion sizes, nice décor, and most importantly great congee. Service isn't the best but that's understandable in a casual restaurant; the food quality/value more than makes up for that. I'll be looking forward to coming back to try their other congees and maybe their lunch specials too.

Yelp
I don't come here nearly as often as I should, because their food is fantastic. I used to come a ton as a kid with my parents (fellow yelpers). I can't remember everything we ate, but it was always great and the one thing that stood out for me was (if you've read my other reviews, this will be no surprise) the Singapore noodles. Yes. My favourite Singapore style vermicelli, which actually comes from Hong Kong and has no historical culinary relation to Singapore. Unnecessary information? Sure. But it's cool to be an expert on your favourite food. Back to the food, while I'm still reevaluating my favourite Singapore noodles, this place holds a top 3 spot in my brain. It's spicy, that curry powder, but not too spicy. It's not quite salty enough, but well seasoned. And the proteins and veggies are tasty. The shrimps are a good size, the strips of pork are great. There's no gross red peppers (gross in the context of the dish). And plenty of bean sprouts, but not an overwhelming amount. The ratio of noodle to protein to veggie is perfect. Just add salt and it's perfect. Either way I love this place.

Yelp
The owner chased us out the door and forced us to tip more. Afterwards, when I asked for change, she tried ignoring us and played dumb to try and take a larger tip. Extremely scummy and unpleasant experience. Will not return and recommend eating elsewhere.

Yelp
Chi's Congee and Noodle House has been in Mississauga for a long time. It doesn't have fancy decor, but have tasty food with reasonable price. Service is friendly and quick, food comes out within 10 minutes after you ordered. We had the half chicken, loofah with scallop and conch, egg with shrimp and spicy minced meat stir fry lobster. All 4 dishes are very good. The lobster is the special when you ordered $25 and above. A lot of special signature dishes are written on the board on the wall, however they are in Chinese only. There are certainly more dishes I would like to try and will come back again.

Yelp
Came by for dinner the other day and it was mediocre at best. Ordered the beef brisket wonton rice noodle soup which was lackluster. Beef brisket was fatty, although some parts were overcooked and too salty... The wontons were okay although they didn't taste super fresh... The rice noodles were also mediocre as again, they didn't seem super fresh... The broth was surprisingly decent... $10 /person including tax and gratuity. Cash only.

Yelp
*takeout review only* We wanted to eat here on Sunday night however it was packed! Ended up getting the stir fry lobster with salted duck egg yolk as take out (we came all the way to the restaurant just for this). Lobster was amazing! Highly recommend trying it. They don't skim on the portions either.

Yelp
This has always been my go to Chinese restaurant in Mississauga. The service is really friendly here and the food is delicious. They have anything from rice to noodles, to soup and congee! They also have food menus that are catered for # of people in your group, for a reasonable price. Highly recommend. Check out IG: @ooi.eats for your next foodie adventure!

Yelp
Food is very good especially for the price. Service and ambiance is decent. We went at 2:00pm and it was not too busy, so the food came out quickly.

Yelp
We came here on our way to Sarnia. It is located inside a mall. The crowd had just left when we arrived. We got seated and food came fast however as the crowd left there were little time before they closed the restaurant for afternoon break so we had to hurry to wrap up. Overall a good experience. Washrooms were clean.

Yelp
Good Cantonese style food at a reasonable price. Been here many times and the quality is consistent. I usually order a congee, the Cantonese chow mien and another dish (beef spare ribs is a good option). The portions are generous, so sharing is encouraged. It gets busy and quite loud with big groups and children, but I've never had to wait too long for a table. Convenient and reliable. No wonder I come here so often.

Yelp
This is my favourite go-to Chinese restaurant in Mississauga. I literally come here at least twice a month to get my Cantonese food fix. The portion size is huge, the quality of the food is consistent, the staff is great and the food comes out SUPER FAST. Located at the famous Golden Square Plaza, it is the noodle and congee place that everyone goes to. I tend to come here for lunch rather than dinner because of their lunch specials. For $8-10, you can choose a variety of dishes from their lunch menu. I always get the crispy Cantonese chicken chow mein and a bowl of preserved egg and pork congee. It is my favourite combo. The congee arrives at the table boiling hot and the chow mein super crispy. It is more than enough for 2 people as I often have to dog-bag food home. The meal also comes with a hot milktea, which is very good! Tonight I came here for a birthday celebration and we ordered a variety of foods. The famous turnips is delicious and you can order that either spicy or not spicy. The supreme congee has everything in it, but it is huge so it is best when there's a lot of people. When you eat congee, there must be some fritters to go along with it. The honey short ribs and green beans are both delicious as well. And if you don't know what to order, there are set menus for 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 people. Lots of options to choose from :) Make sure you come here with some cash as it is Cash Only! Enjoy :)

Yelp
Their pan fried beef rice noodles were pretty good, if you like spicy food they have a can of spicy sauce to add on, which I think it's much better when it's spicy. The congee was pretty average just because all the congees in Toronto are quite similar taste and I can't really tell the difference. The pork belly was nice and tender, a bit oily but once in a while guilty pleasure doesn't hurt I guess. The dish was Seasoned pretty well as well. I have been here for many years now and the food here is always the "a bit above average" consistency. This is quite important because I know I won't get nasty food and won't expect something amazing either. It's one of those everyday food, just to get the day going kind of feeling. Definitely coming for more lunch here.

P B.

Yelp
Plus- basil chicken, seafood congee, noodles. Thousand island shrimp too saucy with a tartar / big msg sauce taste. Service is quick, very knowledgeable servers. Pretty busy but Saturday lunch

Yelp
Great restaurant if you're looking to get some congee in the Mississauga region, but I would personally stop by only for the congee, as their other dishes aren't very good. I came here for lunch on a normal workday and I noticed the place is pretty packed, so I figured the restaurant can't be too bad. I ordered the 艇仔粥 congee with a 炸两 (deep fried dough wrapped in rice noodle). The congee was delicious: the rice was well cooked to soft texture, the toppings were plentiful (fried pork skin, minced peking duck skin, peanuts), and the flavour was good too. The deep fried dough wasn't that good though. First of all it was ready cold when they served it too me, and I could tell it wasn't fresh because the dough was too firm and too chewy. My fried ordered stir fried rice noodle and the dish was super oily and no flavour with barely any meat in it. Both dishes came with a complementary drink such as coffee, milk tea, or lemon tea. So yeah, just get the congee, don't bother with getting anything else.

Michael R.

Yelp
I tried to support this restaurant during the pandemic but was left sadly disappointed. The curry chicken was undercooked and had the skin left on! Gross. I've had many Chinese style curry chicken before and it never had the skin still on- disgusting. Also, I was told the lobster would be over a pound and a good size. Don't you hate being lied to? Check my photos please... And no, we'll never go back.
google avatar

Thomas S.

Yelp
I think it's decent food for a decent price. The staff is quite friendly. If you are looking a different experience, this restaurant could be an option. It's too bad I cannot give a 3.5 star, which I think it is the exact rating.
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
The food isn't as good anymore, and the service has taken a horrible turn for the worse. Unbelievably rude waitresses, especially the newer ones. I have thick skin, but these folks are just shockingly abrasive.

Yelp
Chi's Congee & Noodle House is a standard Cantonese restaurant that serves rice, noodles, congee, stir-fried dishes, soups, and the like. It's located in the busy and popular Golden Square Centre in Mississauga. We were here at 1 p.m. and the place was bustling and very busy! We were able to take a five-seater that fit us perfectly as the original table that was meant for us was overtaken by a larger party. After this, there were a lot of people waiting for a table too. Good thing we came in time otherwise we would have had to wait for who knows when to get seated. We ordered a variety of dishes like 'boat congee' (艇仔粥) -- my always preferred type of congee; crispy fried noodles with pork and bean sprouts; stir-fried satay rice noodles and beef; and fried dumplings. All of the the food was really good! I think the kitchen had enough "wok hay" so that everything was tasty and satisfying. It was comfort food. The portions were great. I especially liked the fried dumplings too.

Yelp
Great place to eat at GREAT VALUE AND TASTE!! Came on a Tuesday after Christmas expecting it to be dead considering it's still kind of the holiday plus we just had a snow storm but to my surprise, this place was still busy. Dine in wasn't particularly packed but they also take a lot of take out orders. This place opens from 11:00 to 11:00 everyday. Their food is cooked to great Asian standards and good portions. Prices are fair and service was decent. Congee was good, cooked to perfect thickness and viscosity and good flavour. The food in the congee was fresh and big pieces. Their lunch special starts at 11am and it comes with a side drink (coffee or tea). Overall I'd come back for another fair and filling meal.

Yelp
Generally good food. But the attendants are far from friendly, especially the one with short hair. Today, something worse happened. On top of that, they got my order wrong totally. I have ordered three dish, and when I opened them at home, I realize that they got two of them wrong. Very disappointed and will NOT come back. I wish I can give a negative star.

Yelp
Another one of my go to places for good cheap eats. Very busy and fairly small, usually small groups will need to share a big table during peak hours. Their congee I find is very flavourful unlike some other places which tastes very bland. I always get the salty egg with preserved egg and pork congee, it's got a good salty flavour. The mixed offal is another one of my favorite here, I know it's not everyone's liking to eat offal but thumbs up if you're willing to try. Their noodles soups are good as well usually individual portions. The service is usually pretty good and food comes out fast so their turn around is usually fast as well. Maybe the wait is about 20min if it is at capacity. I personally like to go just before noon to beat the huge lunch rush around 12:30.
google avatar

Jen W.

Yelp
This is a very popular restaurant, so always be prepared to wait and/or share tables. I'm not a fan of that, but I do it to have congee like my grandfather used to make. I find you need to be aggressive at the door as regulars will jump in front of you and service is busy enough to not notice who got there first. Little do they know, my half chinese side is pretty dominant and I won't be cut in front of. The food is good. Very fresh. The congee was a bit watered down at our most recent visit but soy and chili oil sorted that out. I also asked for the same dish as last time, by name, and got something entirely different. We ate quickly. You tend to get the stare down to vacate the table quickly, so we did. I like the food, but I dont like people breathing down my neck as I eat.

Doris L.

Yelp
I love the noodles and congee, it's a great combo. The place is packed with families, but the service was still quick. The decor was cute.
google avatar

Tim L.

Yelp
Just your regular HK style cha chaan teng. The owner of this restaurant has been in the restaurant industry for decades (I recognized her from her previous stint at 888 Dundas Street East Mississauga Chinatown location). Prices are probably similar to the other large chain but you do get more as portions are huge and rather consistent in quality. Dinner is where it does falter a little bit as quality is not as consistent but is still passable if there is no other choice.
google avatar

Yelp
Our family comes here whenever we want to have a casual Chinese dinner with a friendly atmosphere. All the waiters and waitresses are so friendly here which is uncommon for a Chinese resto. Lol. I say this only because they are always rushing around and focused on just getting the food out and not with the friendly customer service that you typically should see at restaurants. This is not the case for this Chinese restaurant though. The minute you walk in, they yell out a welcome to you. That's also because we have become such regulars here. They are super fast with bringing out the food. We even have to tell them to slow down! Lol. The minute the order goes in, even if it's a 6 course dinner, the food arrives on the table in less than 5 minutes, especially the soup. Very tasty food and average price for 6 dishes is around $60. They have excellent family combo dinners which you can choose from. They all include a soup. Definitely recommend this place for family dinners. Huge selection and very tasty food indeed!

Yelp
We just came for Mother's Day. Mom picked, otherwise this definitely wouldn't be a contender on my list. First impression - Chipped plates. No joke, at least two of our tableware came with noticeable chips on them. My plate even had a smudge of some mysterious inky matter that won't come off when rubbed with a napkin. I don't recall getting any tea, but just as well since the cups were just as dubious. Food - We got the seafood congee, there were decent pieces of actual seafood in it, but the consistency was a bit too congealed, probably left sitting too long and the rice has formed gluey lumps at the top. We also got a lobster, which is probably the saving grace of the entire meal. It was rather small, but nicely fried and crunchy, very flavourful. The egg and shrimp over rice, I don't know the proper name for this, was okay. We also got some seafood stir fry with some green gourd or some vegetable in it that tasted kinda raw. All in all, it was rather meh. Service - is non existent. Our server lady was rather impatient (understandable due to the holiday), but also rather pushy. She kept recommending expensive combos and was rather hypocritically snide in telling mom that she should be allowed to make all the decisions since it was her day. Another server also grabbed the chair out from under mom while she was eating, without so much as a warning or a by your leave. Just grabbed and slid mom off with a "I need this." Value - I don't know what people consider as the norm anymore to pay at a congee place, it's been a while. But let's just say we could have just as well gone to a buffet and paid the same price for 3 people. Atmosphere - I do not recommend coming here to eat in, at least not on holidays. It was crowded and extremely loud, and very busy. The tables were squished in and it felt rather claustrophobic. The washrooms are clean enough, one private room each. There were stacks of dirty dishes in trollies along the back, and a growing line of peeved looking people getting takeout. Joke's on us as that was the smart thing to do this particular day.

Yelp
I have developed a serious love for this place. There are days where we need to remind ourselves not to go back so soon.. In the times I've been there, they definitely did not disappoint. They're quick, clean, and the food is authentic! The portions are huge! Where in Mississauga can you get non-westernized, authentic, Chinese food for under $10 a plate? Their congee - hearty, not at all watery, lots of meat/seafood. I've always stuck with my two favs; Lean pork w/ preserved egg and salted egg, or seafood congee. Huge difference compared to Congee Dynasty, Sam Woo and Emerald. Rice and Noodle dishes are great too. We tend to think with our stomachs when we order, and because of the large portions, we always end up with boxes of takeout for the next day. Beware: If you visit on a weekend, or even during peak dinner times during the week, this place will be packed and you're in for a wait. If you're super hungry, didn't come with a large group and don't mind adopting the 'Dap Toi' sharing table practice, you'll be sure to be seating before everyone else. It's a common practice in restaurants of Asian culture. And again, as my fellow yelpers have mentioned, cash only!

Yelp
So yummy! Fresh and hot, the congee burned my tongue. It was so tasty with the breadsticks you dip into the soup. Also add a bit of soy sauce so it can bring out the flavour of the soup. Definitely coming back for more. Especially on cold winter days!

Yelp
When you are looking for fast, simple, inexpensive Chinese food Chi's Congee is where you need to be. I love the food here. It's my go to comfort food. The dishes are super flavourful even the congee! The service is quick and friendly and the restaurant is decently spacious. It seats approximately 75 Guests. however it does get quite busy on Saturdays and Sundays for lunch around 12:30pm and dinner around 6:30pm. The restaurant decor is warm and inviting.

Yelp
Their fried noodles are better than the congees. Other foods are good too. Always busy every time I visit them, maybe because of the peak hours. You may want to try their Singaporean Fried Turnip Cake if you are okay with oily stuff, although I doubt if there is anything like that in Singapore (who cares? just a name :)).

Yelp
Great place for congee. Their congee is thick and flavourful when compared to other place. It's not as watery.

Yelp
Very good and cheap Chinese restaurant. As we are ew to the Mississauga area, we looked it on Yelp for restaurants recommendation and found this little gem. Decoration of this restaurant is a bit outdated but food is pretty good. We find their seafood congee actually has more flavour in comparison to the famous chain restaurant for congees. They are very generous in the quantity as well. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Came across this place on YELP and was craving some authentic Chinese food and was our patience well rewarded! We called ahead to book for 7 and even though we arrived 20 minutes earlier we were promptly seated as soon as we mentioned our name! Our Server Cheryl was amazing and was very helpful in her suggestions. We settled for the fixed dinner for 8 for $88 and what a treat that was! The feast consisted of: Crab meat with Fish Maw Stir Fried Two Lobsters W/ Ginger & Scallion Chicken with Spicy Sauce Stir fried Garoupa with vegetables Stir fried special pork with black bean source Deep fried Shrimp Balls w/sweet and sour sauce Deep fried fish W/Soya Sauce Snow peas tips w/garlic sauce White Rice (extra charge!) the only slight negative! The flavors were spot on and the entire meal was enjoyed by all, we will definitely be back!!

Yelp
The food came super fast. Maybe too fast. The speed that food comes at you is maybe the only plus at this restaurant. The food is really not that good! When you cook it that fast, the quality shows. Noodles soggy and overcooked. Proportions bad. 11$ dish was mostly bean sprouts. Couple dollars more expensive than most places in the same plaza despite the lack of quality. For the same money, I would go to full moon. If Bayview garden were still open, would've gone there. Or even Chiu chow man. The service here is the worst thing ever. They don't speak any language well, maybe a dialect issue? I knew I was never coming back here when I came back to the table to find out my wife was literally "shoo'd" out of our table, and a new couple was already ordering. As soon as you pay your bill, you're getting shoved out asap. My wife said the larger server collected our cash payment, came back minutes later to tap her on the shoulder, gave her the get out motion with both hands and pointed at the door. Where does that happen?? All I can think of is.... Go back to mainland and stop ruining Canada.

Yelp
We used to come here often, to order its different congee. We loved the ones with the clams and shellfish, but have since found that its quality has deteriorated significantly. Last time we came, the congee was extremely watered down. Moreover, instead of its previous generous portions of seafood in the congee, we had only a few pieces of the clam and fish. Some even did not taste fresh! The fried things are also overly greasy, in my opinion. It's sad, but we can no longer find a good congee place in Mississauga.

Yelp
The staff was rude, and slow. The food we ordered was salty. I do NOT recommend this place.

Yelp
This is a very small and rushed restaurant, with limited seating. There's usually a wait and not enough space to wait in. Interior is nothing impressive, just a hole in the wall. There's nothing intimate about this place, since they are more for your money than your experience. They have a take it and go mentality. During the cold times, it is very unpleasant since every time the door open, there is always the rush of wind and all. I definitely do not recommend this place if you are looking to come in large groups and or take your time.

Yelp
Affordable price for good congee! Go-to spot. Always good. Always piping hot. If you order take out, for one order of congee, you can expect to spend about $6-$8 and get two styrofoam containers. (More than enough for me) Or, if you dine in, one order is one medium-big bowl of soup enough for 2 people. We order one beef brisket noodle soup and one order of congee when dining in and I always get to take a container of soup home for later. The super bowl size feeds 3+ people for $10-$15. Would be 5 stars if they were more consistent with their beef brisket in the beef brisket noodle soup. We'd get it almost everyday until they started giving us fattier and inedible/gross cuts of meat. Now I just get congee and it's the only thing that I get there.

Yelp
I usually go to Chiu Chow Man next door but decided to try out this place because I've heard so much about it. Service: this is the main factor for the 5 star rating. The service here was great. The waiters were diligent, nice and prompt. Food: so savoury and the hot and sour soup is delicious (not too sweet or sour lol). We ordered the garlic lobster, chicken chow mein, chicken hot pot, flat rice noodle with beef and black bean sauce and turnip dish. All were so great tasting! The only con was that we got seated close to the door so it was very cold with the door opening and closing. It's also quite cramped at the front so with the waiters trying to bring food in and people trying to walk by, it got a little congested. I'm going to start coming here now for some tasty Chinese food!

Yelp
Comes to chi's congee very often. I like their tasty congee and all different types noodles. Their special chicken is delicious too. The servers are able to recognize customers and well, they remember me haha.
