I was on business travel, stayed 1 night in Foxbury room. Comfortable bed, beautifully furnished and opens up to lovely garden. I didn't have to fight with the TV -everything just works and there were so many plugs it was great not to have to battle to find a place to charge my cellphone and my laptop. Delicious breakfast and I loved that the dining room opens up onto the pool /entertainment area. The lounge is tastefully furnished and what comfortable couches. Jenny is such a great hostess. I would highly recommend Chislehurst.

We had two occasions to stay at Chislehurst Guest House and have not at all gone wrong. Jenny and her husband are excellent hosts and made us feel very comfortable. The room we stayed in was well appointed, clean and very comfortable beds. The English breakfast made to order was fantastic. The Guest house is conveniently located near the Rivonia shopping centre and Sandton. Highly recommend this guest house.

We booked this trip at very short notice but could not have been more graciously welcomed. The suites are spacious, well appointed, spotlessly clean and most importantly for myself they have enormous super comfy beds which facilitate a good nights rest. The lounge / TV areas are full of exquisite furnishings and an astonishing amount of books for your perusal. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit salad, yoghurt and a full English breakfast made to order. A sparkling swimming pool and extensive outside entertainment area complete the picture. ideally situated for both Sandton CBD and major highways. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I stayed at Chislehurst Guest House because I was working near the intersection of Rivonia and Witkoppen Roads, and I needed a place to stay that would allow me to avoid traffic delays. I found a gem in Chislehurst. It is situated in a very quiet, leafy suburb of Rivonia, and their self-catering option was perfect for me. There are a number of restaurants within easy driving distance as well. It is a stone's throw from Lilliesleaf Museum - an interesting and informative place to visit. I will definitely continue to stay here when I am working in this area.

Our stay was wonderful and warm. The room was wonderfully decorated without being overdone. Jenny is lovely and very interesting. it felt like a home away from home. very relaxing and quiet and the personal service made our stay much more pleasant.

My husband and I have been using Chislehurst for the past 8 years and have come to know the staff and owners very well. On my recent visit I was surprised to see how much more work the guest house has undergone to increase occupancy and appeal. The area around is safe for an early morning run and the water in the pool just the right temperature at this time of the year to cool down. I highly recommend Chislehurst if you are looking for tranquility with a personal touch and excellent service!

We stayed for 2 nights mid March. Our stay coincided with the owners having a family party. As a result we felt we were not really wanted as guests. Fortunately we did not need the facilities on the afternoon we arrived. Breakfast the next morning was served in the kitchen as drinks and mess from the family party of the previous night had not been cleared away. The room was ok but really needed an upgrade. The bidet could not be used as the plug was jammed. We felt that we were interfering in a family gathering. The guest house should not have taken our booking. We could not pay the bill by credit card as their machine did not work. We were asked to pay by bank transfer but as we are from the UK that would have cost an extra ZAR450. We paid cash.||A disappointing stay.||

I have been staying at Chislehurst since 2005 on my visits from the UK. As always the staff and Jenny have been fabulous and accomodating with requests. The garden, pool and lapa ensure a tranquil stay and the location allows for easy access to Sandton City for shopping.
