Simple but great tasting experience, affordable local sake and gifts, dedicated exhibition and warm ambiance. Right next to the Jinja, TV tower and river, very convenient spot, and easy to find if you come from the river (you can spot the large 千歲鶴 sign afar). Impressive soft cone with an uncompromising elegance and fragrance. Will be a great combo with snow for sure. Highly recommended for souvenir selection and local experience.

Google
A sake store that has some artefacts and talks about the story and histories of its chitosetsuru sake and sake making in general. The museum side of it doesn’t have too much stuff but took me a good half an hour or hour or so to go through. The store offered a wide variety of sake, wine, other drinks and sake related product such as cosmetics. They served sake ice cream which was delicious! And they offered sake tasting. The staff were friendly and polite. There’s a seating/dining area which is not for drinking alcohol. I did not try their sake this time but I’d like to come back in the future to try them and maybe purchase some. I definitely want more sake ice cream!

Interesting museum with some exhibition explaining the sake making process. Free sampling of selected same help us compare the taste before buying. It is not too far from subway station

This place is mostly a sake shop with some static displays. In order to get a factory tour, you need to reserve a time first and also with min of 8 people in your group. Sake tasting is free. Ice cream with sake flavor (no alcohol) is the highlight for our visit.

Very short visit, it's basically a shop with some miniature display explaining the manufacturing process and their backgrounds. Shop has sake softcream, sake tasting, their own sake and other sake goods.

The museum isn't exactly a floor worth of displays. In fact, it's just a room, with a dining area, and old antiques displayed in one area. However we did get to sample some of their same products here. There's a stand for free tastings, with a list of what they have in store. Some of their sake is also in-store only, and cannot be shipped nor bought online. Overall, they have a nice inventory of sake, and I'd recommend anyone who is curious to try some to visit the Chitosetsuru sake museum!

No entrance fee. The staff are nice and friendly. Sake candies are must try and are very affordable so it’s a nice souvenir as well. They also serve sake ice cream which has same taste like their candies. You can also try wearing their costumes which are available at the entrance doorway, also for free 😊

Google
An interesting museum about chitosesuru sake. There are a collection of sake and details brewing history about the deployment of this sake. The sake soft serve was unique and tasted refreshing with a tint of sake.

Yelp
The tasting is discontinued so don't bother going there expecting to try their sake. We were disappointed. I'm not sure when they plan to resume their tasting. The selection of sake looked good and we purchased a few bottles without the benefit of tasting. Hopefully we made good choices. It's a small place with a sitting area that can accommodate about 10 people. The few people we saw there were eating ice cream. The sitting area was the "museum" which had a handful of memorabilia but nothing stood out for us as compared to other sake establishments. Clean, well lit, easy to find, and nice restroom.

Yelp
its more of a small Sake retailer with some fun facts in Japanese. There is no tour or information in other languages about the sake that are being sold. There is a little side spot where you can have ice cream and coffee which you purchase from the cashiers at the front. The prices are surprisingly affordable but not sure about how they compare to the pricier ones you find in other places. They also sell wine.
