मेवाड़ जमीन नहीं, बलिदानों से गढ़ी गई एक विरासत है Its a goosebump place. If you have guide with you, you will surely get goosebumps by listening to the history. It is the largest fort of Asia area-wise. Lenght wise, Kumbhalgarh is biggest in Asia. It will be better if you are travelling by your own vehicle. The fort is too big. You have to travel by vehicle to and park it at different places while visiting different monuments. The parking charges are one time Rs.50 valid for entire fort. Monument visitng charges are Rs.40 per adult (Indian). With this one ticket, you can visit all places. The fort is 70% destroyed and only 30% is reamining but it is still mesmirising. Also, plan your visit in winters. As it will be very hot in summers.

Very rich in history although most of the remaining buildings are in ruins. Best way to visit this place is by renting an auto or cab from the railway station or bus station. Because by walk it takes 2-3 days to cover every place. It is very hard or almost impossible to find a vehicle to make your way down to the town, so renting a vehicle is the best way. Takes about 4 hours by vehicle to explore the fort.

Chittorgarh Fort is very well maintained, with impressive infrastructure and stunning views. You can take a local guide for just ₹100, which is very helpful for understanding the rich history of Queen Padmini and the fort. Be aware of sellers trying to promote saris made from “sitafal beej.” It is better to visit in your own vehicle or a rented one because the fort area is huge and the entrances are spread across seven different gates. Overall, it is an excellent place to visit. If you are on a Rajasthan tour, this fort is a must-see.

Chittorgarh fort is situated in south east part of Rajasthan. Fort is considered as one of the largest fort across India spanning thru massive 700 acres platue situated around 600 feet from ground. The fort is also famous for the historic tale of Raja Ratan singh Rawal and Rani Padmavati and group jouhar performed by her along with women of kingdom. Fort was the capital of the Mewar Kingdom which was damaged by Ala Uddin Khilji. Fort is hosting many places such as Mirabai temple, Vijay Stambh, Kalika Mata Temple, Padmini Mahal, Jain Temple, Fateh Prakash Palace, Kumbha Palace. Imp points 1. You can take your car directly to any of the sites on the fort. Fort is having ample space where you can park the vehicle to explore each site. 2. You may need a complete day to properly explore the fort else for just go around 2-2.5 hours are enough. 3. In average season there is not much rush but the public holidays or festival holidays may be crowded.

A Living Epic of Courage: Chittorgarh Fort Must-visit once in a lifetime. This majestic structure is far more than just one of the largest forts in India; it is a profound and deeply moving monument to the indomitable spirit of Rajputana, where every corner tells a story of unparalleled valor, courage, and sacrifice. Perched commandingly atop a hill in Rajasthan, Chittorgarh Fort allows you to step directly into the heart of the Mewar kingdom, feeling the weight of its dramatic history, including the three great sieges and the legendary acts of Jauhar performed by queens like Rani Padmini. The sheer scale is breathtaking, encompassing magnificent architectural wonders such as the towering Vijay Stambh (Victory Tower), the intricate Kirti Stambh (Tower of Fame), and the historic Rana Kumbha Palace and temples. It is essential to hire a local guide to truly appreciate the context of the ruins and monuments, connecting you directly to the fierce pride and unwavering dedication to honor that defines this chapter of Indian history. This is not just a scenic tourist spot; it is a pilgrimage for anyone seeking to understand the true meaning of sacrifice and courage. Highly, highly recommended

Welcome to chhitorgarh fort. Its world's largest fort. You will find majorly ruins but those ruins also gives idea that our history was glorious. Fort area, Kirti stambh, trimurti mandir and johar kund these are the major points to cover over there. I will suggest to visit the place with guide. They will tell about the history as well as they will help you to take some good photos. You can also buy sitafal aka custard apples over there as place is surrounded by custard apple trees.
