Noi Bai International Airport

This is the most relaxing airport experience I have ever had. I arrived at the airport about two hours early. Like traffic in any big city, a 15-minute delay could mean arriving at the destination hours later. The airport is extremely clean and organized. Everyone is so polite and helpful (including the officer checking in the passengers). The food selection is good. The airport has a designated smoking area as well, and it’s kept very clean.

this Vietnamese airport feels simple and relaxed. It’s not big or luxurious, but that’s part of its charm. The atmosphere is very local and welcoming, true to the Vietnamese style. The staff are friendly, smiling, and genuinely helpful it doesn’t feel like everything is driven by business. One nice touch is that you can ask to weigh your luggage at an available check-in counter without any extra charge. The ground staff are happy to help and don’t rush you, which makes the process feel stress-free. Immigration and security can be a bit slow due to limited space, so it’s better to allow some extra time. Compared to larger international airports, this part may feel slower, but it’s still manageable and not too frustrating. Inside the terminal, there are duty-free shops, plenty of charging points, and Wi-Fi that works well while waiting for your flight. The airport is clean overall, including the restrooms. Free drinking water is available at many easily accessible points, which is very convenient. Overall, the airport still has room to improve. It’s not outstanding, but it’s certainly not bad. Everything works as it should, and the overall experience clearly reflects the spirit of Vietnam simple, warm, and welcoming. ✈️🇻🇳

It is an okay airport... arrival was a bit less comfortable since the baggage took way longer than expected to even start being taken onto the belt. Everyone waited for over half an hour before the belt even started to move. However, the experience for departure was smoother than expected. I only flew from Vietnam twice and both were from saigon, terrible experience and fear of not catching my flight since customs was a nightmare speed. However it was not the same in Hanoi, it seems normal without much trouble so I came to the airport early for no reason. Extra time to relax at the lounge then.

This is a very straightforward airport which I like very much. It is straight from the airplane to the baggage collection, the custom, then immigration and arrival gate... No hassle, no confusion. It's a straight line, I don't even need to check the signages. The departure process is also the same! Worthy of note is that travellers are required to remove shoes, belt and jacket at the baggage check (x-ray), AND don't skip the queue or take short cut over the tape barrier, the officers will give you a earful!

The terminal utilizes an efficient shared access layout, which provides seamless connectivity between the international and domestic waiting areas. ​Amenities: The waiting area offers adequate facilities, including various cafes, restaurants, and retail fashion outlets. ​Maintenance: Restrooms are clean, and there is sufficient seating available for passengers. ​Conclusion: The airport is efficient but is consistently crowded due to its size and volume of traffic.

On international arrival long waiting lines, then even more also waiting bags. On departure again another waiting lines plus expensive duty-free and few dining options. Good thing drinking water tap available and there is kindergarten for those who has a kid.

Of course, it’s not perfect, but after the restructuring and renovation, the airport managed to transfer a lot in a positive way. I recently discovered a cozy spot with comfortable seats where I can unwind before my flight. The cleaning staffs are very nice 👍🏼

This is an airport from which I remember all the decorations in the waiting hall after check-in and security. It was like walking through a gallery. Security check was a bit slower, compared to other airports. The staff was constantly putting backpacks on the side and going really through everything that was inside of the bags. Staff members were friendly.
