"Where US Troops Entered the War Located north of Danang on the city's eponymous bay, Nam O Beach is a slightly poorer cousin of the long stretch of sand further south. It was here that the first US combat troops landed in South Vietnam in 1965. Today the beach boasts a few unassuming hotels and is famous for goi ca, marinated raw fish fillets served with fresh vegetable and rice-paper rolls."

Stopped here for a break on the way back to Da Nang from Hue. Very relaxing views of oyster farms across the lagoon.

Absolutely gorgeous place with beautiful views and locals fishing. There are some lovely photo opportunities here but some places you need to pay to take photos as the locals have built swings and other wooden installations.

Scenic lagoon for a short photo stop, but otherwise, it seems rather polluted with trash. There are several seafood restaurants, oyster farms and jewellery shops in the area.

It's absolutely worth coming here! It's full of tourists, but for the good reason that the natural sights are incredible. I did this without a guide, and so i missed out on the story, but you can certainly book guides ahead of time. Even without one, though, you can appreciate the architecture and design, as well as appreciate the beautiful landscape. WARNING! This place is very very hot and also requires you to be able to climb many stairs! It's the same as if it was a major hike. Bring pocari sweat and water!

Nothing to excited comparing what we have seen in Vietnam. I wouldn't recommend spending time to visit here . But if you have to stop eat in lagoon restaurant ..very good food

We travelled via the mountainous “Hai Van Pass coastal road, and briefly stopped at “Lap An Lagoon” (famous for its pearl farming).

Lap An Lagoon is located west of Lang Co Bay and is famed for the oysters rearing farms for pearls! Most of the tourist buses/coaches will stopby here for a photostop before heading to Hue. During our visit there, the weather was a little gloomy and so we didn't have a good and clear view of the surrounding but was still ok. As we could see the farm houses and workers working in them, harvesting the oysters. And right opposite the lagoon was a row of shophouses, where cafes are located and of course the souvenir shops selling refined and processed pearls which are nice and beautiful (but prices are steep too). But you can just walk around without buying and used their washrooms located right deep inside on the left.

We stopped at Lap A Lagoon while travelling to Húe and were blown away by the beauty and the serenity of the little town. We arrived quite late in the afternoon after most tourists had left for the day, and enjoyed the stunning views and having the area to ourselves. There’s a lovely restaurant and several coffee shops and cafes looking across the lagoon. It would be a very peaceful place to spend a few days.
