It was busy so we wait 30mins but it was a really authentic Korean restaurant, and the food was delicious. We all enjoyed the dishes we ordered. All the soups were amazing, but the spicy beef soup (육개장) was the best—so good that we bought a premade one from their banchan store (you get 10% off if you bring your restaurant bill). I also really liked the bibim cold noodles and the LA galbi combo. Highly recommend this place!

It’s a memorable experience with Cho Sun Ok! The first time, i had to go to another restaurant for dinner because there was long waiting list, plus people kept coming in. It’s mega busy. It’s so awesome they attract large amount of customers daily. Good for them! They should do something right, that’s for sure. This restaurant is not too small but it creates this claustrophobia in me because the constant stream of people 24/7. It makes this place energized & fun. But again because of it, it doesn’t necessarily a place you go to chill with friends or family. It’s too noisy, fast paced and closed sitting with others. At first, I thought maybe the food in Cho Sun Ok is out of this world, or cheap or they have some unique special Korean dishes. Today I went for the second time but dining as my first. The same situation happened. And i could see while waiting that the portion was moderate. After 45’ waiting, I can finally led to my table. I was pretty hungry then 😋 when I looked at the menu, it was when my jaws were on the floor. The price was surprisingly high. Omg, the vibe of this restaurant doesnt match the price tag. Thus, I thought the food should be bomb. When the dishes came out on the table, I was skeptical. I mean it looked okay. The side dishes are not bad, but not good either. Tbh it’s on a mediocre side for my taste bud. The one thing stood out was the saltiness of the dishes. I ordered pig organs soup, pork belly on sizzling hot plate and cold noodle. My friend said Cho Sun Ok is well known for their cold noodles. Somehow I just had this sense (bc I went to a lot of restaurants in general). Nothing about the dishes is outstanding to me. My friend commented he had better cold noodles somewhere else. I didn’t love the food but I didn’t hate it. Despite of how small a plate or bowl looks, I found it was plentiful with the toppings. Thats me but I saw people criticizing how little the meat in their food or how bland it tasted. I think bland as in ordinary tasting it is. They used quite a bit of MSG though. I think this restaurant is serving authentic Korean cuisine. The taste is specific and customized to fit a certain standard. That’s okay. I just have different references when it comes to Korean food. Their customer service is great. Servers came pretty often to check and ask if the food was okay. I think everyone tried their best here, which is unbelievably nice. Customers were patient enough to be in line for more than 40’ to be seated and staff always had a smile on their face regardless of how busy they were (trust me, they didn’t take break). So in this circumstance it’s not you, it’s me 😁 I’m saying it with a smile too. When it comes to packing, they are not cheap with the boxes & container & bag. Some restaurants are not generous with their bagging no matter how much you tip. Therefore I value & appreciate their hospitality greatly. I wouldn’t say I’ll come back. It’s more like a “checkout a restaurant moment” but I guess it won’t make a dent in their sales. This restaurant knows what they are doing and being great at this. They already have a large loyal customer base who love the food & will keep coming back.

Google
A little bit overpriced but food tastes really good, especially the cold noodles. The noodles were refreshing and chewy. I came here for lunch and we ordered bibimbap, spicy stir fried pork, cold noodles (without soup). They also sell kimchi and it tastes better than most of kimchi sold in Asian supermarkets.

Google
A great place to go for cold summer korean noodles. I've read they use a slurpee machine to make the icy broth. The noodles are cold and very refreshing on a hot day. The other side dishes are tasty as well.

Google
Best cold noodle place around. Been coming here for the past 10 years. Huge line up. Expect 1hr+ waits on an average dinner time. Worth savouring every moment as the whole menu is bomb.

Google
The Korean food at Cho Sun Ok was awesome! This is our go to Korean place if you are craving Mool Naengmyun :) The Mool Naengmyun was awesome. They make a really good Korean cold noodle dish made out of thin arrowroot noodles in slushy broth. Would definitely recommend if you are craving a good Korean cold noodle dish in hot weather. The Soondae Guk was awesome. It’s a Korean spicy and savoury broth that comes with traditional Korean style sausages and various pig organs that’s topped with perilla seeds. Would definitely recommend if you are craving a good savoury broth and are a bit adventurous with the different meat cuts. The Korean Banchan was good as well.

Google
The food at this place is delicious, especially the meat, I can’t remember the name, but it was really good. The soup could’ve used a bit more flavour, though. Customer service was decent, and the atmosphere was comfortable. The place wasn’t busy, so it was easy to find a free table, and parking wasn’t really a problem either.

Google
1. Only one small menu has pictures of dishes. The other one has no pictures so you can only guess what you gonna get. 2. Order # 1 Sliced traditional korean style sausage and # 22 Beef based soup with outer leaves of cabbage and beef rib meat. Sides dishes are fine, come with a dish of sprout. # 22 is 70% of veges, 25% of soup and 5% of meat (3 tiny cubes). #1 … if there is a picture on the menu i will definitely not ordering it. Can you imagine what korean sausage is? See the photo… Oh btw i didn’t even mention the service…

Yelp
This has to be the best Korean restaurant in the GTA. The food is phenomenal, fresh, flavourful, and really high quality. I usually get the kalbi tang or the cold noodles and they are soooo good. I honestly can't rave enough about how satisfying every meal here is. No, it's not as cheap as some of the Korean spots in Chinatown, but it's also not that much more and the difference in quality is totally worth it. I just wish I lived closer because I'd be here all the time.

Yelp
For $50.95 the price of the gamjatang jeongol may seem steep but it's the equivalent of three (if not four) pork bone soups. Even though the menu states it serves two, the dish is enough for four people if you add an appetizer and extra bowls of steamed rice. In fact, when the metal platter first arrives with uncooked glass noodles sitting on top, it's so full that our server removes two bones and soup into a separate bowl to make room for the noodles to cook down. The pork bone was boiled long enough so that they easily broke apart, allowing us to get to the meat without much work. Yet, the broth just wasn't flavourful enough. Yes, it satisfied but didn't contain enough spice to really whet the palette. Luckily, Cho Sun Ok's kimchi had more than enough heat to make up for the tame gamjatang broth. Combining a hunk of meat, a scoop of rice, and a piece of the crispy fermented cabbage made for a great bite. I was so impressed by the side dish that I got a small tub to go ($11.99). The meal arrives with a nice selection of banchan including fish cake slices, kimchi (cabbage and daikon), sesame oil laced bean sprouts, and chewy gelatin slivers. It was more than enough for our duo, but they regularly came by to see if we needed anything else anyways. If anything, what stood out most about this visit was the attentive service. Despite being packed and us sitting in the far corner of the dining room, food arrived quickly and there were always people walking by at regular intervals, so no one felt ignored.

Yelp
Had to wait 30-40 mi on a Saturday night which wasn't too bad. Their cold noodles are still amazing. Had to wait a bit for food to come out as kitchen was really busy. The raw skate definitely a lot spicier than I remembered haha. Will be back again for sure before end of summer!

Yelp
Food was tasty! It was a hot day so the cold noodle hot the spot although a little pricey. Kimchi jjim was great and a huge portion. We had leftovers. Such a great variety of banchan too. It gets busy very quickly, but service is pretty efficient so you'll get seated relatively quickly.

Yelp
Heat wave is here, so the only correct option for a hot day meal is too cool off with some korean cold noodles! We each got the classic cold noodles and paired with fried and steamed chives dumplings. The slushy broth is actually so flavourful and has such an amazing umami flavour. Noodles are nice and chewy, plus the cucumbers and radish adds a nice crunch. It's such a refreshing dish, sooo good!! Just keep in mind this place is always packed so go early to leave your name down.

Yelp
Small korean restaurant known for their cold noodles. This time we tried the cold noodles with a side of steamed dumplings along with a kimchi jjim jeongol (hot pot). The hot pot is nice and comes with 2 rice and side dishes (refillable). Nice variety of side dishes, we had 7 different kinds :) portion size is generous. Overall pretty clean as well, but small tables, so not good for big groups. Service is quick and friendly.

Yelp
Tried their signature cold noodles and their beef tripe spicy stew. Both were good but nothing special. I enjoyed the tripe stew more as it had good flavour but for the cold noodles it just tasted cold to me LOL. The portions are good sizes to share and for 2 people we found it hard to finish everything. The restaurant is small and loud but service is quick and turnover of tables is also quick. The parking lot gets full fast but you can also park in the neighbouring plazas.

Yelp
This is one of my favourite Korean restaurants along Yonge. When it's cold out, this is the type of food I crave for, a stew with a side of soondae. This is a good amount of food and I usually leave with leftovers for the next day. I need to cross the city for them, but it's worth it. Be prepared to wait for a table, but they usually turn over very quickly.

Yelp
Sunday is Korean food day, highly recommended by a friend, why not. Went for lunch, get there before 1230 to avoid a wait. Check out the menu, descriptions sound authentic, however never judge a book by is cover. Far from being a connoisseur, I've been to enough Korean restaurants and even to Korea to know what is good and what is fake wannabe (can I use this word) Korean food. Ordered the Kalbi Tang (friend's recommendation) and Bibimbap. The Kalbi Tang broth had a clear, rich savory slightly beefy flavor profile, honestly it was in my opinion no different than many other broths I've tasted. The glass noodles were firm, the star of the show was the Kalbi short rib beef (bone in). 6 large pieces, meat was thick. tender, falling off the bone good. In fact. I thought the ratio of meat to noodles was too much, sorry meat lovers. Their BiBimBap is now one of my favorites. The stone bowl was scorching hot, really gave you a nice even layer of crispy rice at the end. Vegetables, mushrooms, meat plentiful and with the added gochujang sauce, each spoonful was a flavor bomb of textures, freshness and Korean goodness. Staff were kind and efficient, they even came around and asked if you wanted extra side dishes, yep, they asked before you asked, no kidding. Sorry, no BTS or ATEEZ music playing in the background to distract your eating so bring along a lucky someone that will keep your attention., you know who they are.

Yelp
This popular Korean restaurant serves the best cold noodles. Unfortunately due to the hype you need to put your name on a waiting list and it took us about half an hour to get our table. They also do seem to serve Koreans first. We ordered the dumplings (jjinmandu), two orders of Cold noodles (11&12), a beef stew (yookgae hang), and the chicken tangsooyuk. There was barely any difference between the cold noodles. One was only slightly spicier. The fried chicken was served with apples and oranges which was interesting. The beef stew was tasty as well. Our order came with side dishes which they refilled once. Washrooms are on the ground floor but rather small. They also sell prepared side dishes and kimchi. There is a 5% discount if you pay with cash and takeout.

Yelp
The pork bone soup was nice and flavourful! Dumplings were very crispy!! Always busy here and a lot of authentic Korean food choices on the menu.

Yelp
Overall rating: 4.7/5 (rounded up on Yelp) After years of watching others happily slurp their cold noodles and broth on a hot summer's day, I finally got up the courage to try it myself! This restaurant is famously known for their naengmyeon (pretty much every table orders this), and it's clear why. I haven't tried naengmyeon anywhere else, so take my review with a grain of salt. Refreshing is the best way to describe this dish - it's cold (but not freezing), savoury, slightly spicy, and with a hint of sweetness from the asian pear. An explosion of flavour with every bite. Now pair that with the sour braised kimchi and pork belly, and it's just heavenly. Plus, this restaurant provides plenty of side dishes (and free refills). Service was attentive and speedy once we sat down, which was as much appreciated considering how hungry we were. Be prepared for at least a 30-45min wait during peak times though. They don't take reservations, and the line literally goes out the door.

Yelp
The food here is good but it's busy and they don't take reservations so the waits are usually very long. I highly recommend that you arrive early to write your name down on their waitlist if you're planning to eat at a peak time. I've tried their Mul Naengmyun and their Gamjatang. The naengmyun is super refreshing and a great choice in the summer since the noodles are submerged in a spicy and icy broth. The noodles are super chewy (maybe a bit too chewy) so get ready to concentrate on chewing well before swallowing or else you might choke! It's just a shame that this dish is so expensive ($18) when the only protein in the entire damned thing is just half an egg.. not even a whole egg!! Their profit margin must be insane. I do really like that their gamjtang is not very spicy but still very flavourful though. Perfect for someone like me who can't handle too much spice - I'll give them 4 stars just because of that. Their side dishes are just ok-tasting and it's unfortunate that they're actually pretty stingy with them. For a table of 4 where everyone ordered their own entrée, they initially gave us 6 side dishes. When we asked for a refill, they only refilled 3 and then said they would charge us extra if we wanted more.

Yelp
Are you looking for authentic Korean food? This place doesn't take reservations so we came earlier around 6pm on a Friday night and it was already packed with a waiting list. We were seated in a booth table for 4-5 people. It was so cramped with the 6 of us which made the dinner less enjoyable so I won't be coming with friends next time as it doesn't appear that they have bigger tables for 6 or more people. It was our first time here so I wanted to try everything. We ordered quite a few items to share so it was nice to try a bit of everything so I know what I want next time. The Gamjatang and and kimchi pancake were amazing and their Mool Naengmyun (cold noodle) was really refreshing. I would definitely be coming back as there were still so many other dishes that I want to try. Maybe I'll try Soondae (Korean sausages) next time if I'm feeling adventurous!

Yelp
This restaurant is our go to recommendation to all friends if they ever want some traditional and affordable Korean food. This restaurant was packed at 2pm on Sunday with a massive waiting list. Their turn around time was fast though and their service was exceptional while being super efficient! The staffs were super polite too and made sure to check on customers on their meals. I also love how cute and homey their interior is with all the wooden booths ! I loved all the side dishes each meal came with, especially their kimchi and the potato salad. We both got their Gamja Tang, a classic pork bone soup, and I love how their soup wasn't too spicy and super addictive too! The meal was PACKED with meat and the meat falls right off the bone! I also really enjoy their purple healthy rice that it comes with and it has a chewy and sticky texture to it. 10/10 would recommend this place to everyone and I also would love to come back again to get their cold noodles in the summer .

Yelp
Make sure to come early and be prepared to line up as this place does not take reservations! We arrived around 6pm and were told the wait was approximately 45 mins to seat a party of 8. Thankfully, we came during the summer (late review) so standing outside was no issue. Food: 5/5 We chose this restaurant specifically to try their specialty cold noodles or Mool Naengmyun. We also ordered the Kimchi Jjim Jeongol (aged kimchi braised with pork loin and tofu in a hot pot) and Tangsuyuk (sweet & sour pork with pear). The cold noodles were perfect for a summer day, served in a the slushy broth that gave it a refreshing taste and complimented the spicy paste to leave you wanting more. The texture of the noodles was nice and chewy. I was pleasantly surprised by the hot pot dish as the braised kimchi tasted completely different to uncooked kimchi. The cabbage was packed with flavour and cooked down until soft, soaking up all the soup and homemade sauce. The pork in the stew was also tender and juicy. The sweet and sour pork was crispy and more on the sweeter side than tangy. The portion size was huge and shareable - all-in-all a delicious meal. Service: 4.5/5 The restaurant accomodated our party of 8 by seating us at two 4-person tables that were side by side (separated by an aisle). Due to our party ordering as one table, it may have confused the servers a bit when the food arrived and they did not understand that we were together. Service was good overall and we were able to get our complimentary side dishes filled when requested. Ambiance: 4/5 The interior is like any other casual dine-in place. Clean and simple. Will definitely come back next summer for more cold noodles and braised kimchi!

Yelp
Service was ok, it gets busy during dinner time but the wait list system is confusing. You'd fill your name on the waitlist then they'd take that list and replace it with a old list. People come back to check if their names were crossed off and find their names missing. It was confusing. I Would recommend the cold noodles here for sure and large pork bone soup. Side dishes were plentiful. The private booths made it very cramped. I'd visit during an off hour though and avoid the waiting.

Yelp
My friend and I had a massive craving for an army stew (budae jjingae/jeongol) and decided to try Cho Sun Ok. This was my Nth visit to this resto and, second time sampling their army stew. Their banchan is always very simple with bean sprouts, fish cake, radish kimchi, kimchi and some type of shredded green (Brussel sprouts?) tossed in mayo. The stew comes assembled as you can see in other Yelper's photos and cooks at your table. The attentive staff take turns coming to check on the stew as it bubbles away to flavour perfection. Once the raw pork pieces are cooked through, the stew is ready to eat and we got stuck in right away with the ramen noodles. The rest of the pot is brimming with hot dog pieces, spam slices, kimchi, rice cakes and a mound of sliced cabbage. The ramen noodles are super tasty, having soaked up all that flavour and a perfect addition to the stew. The rest of the stew is equally as impressive as the flavours meld together so nicely. Whoever invented the army stew deserves a medal imo. The meal came with 2 bowls of purple rice which was not enough to finish the stew which starts getting salty pretty quickly as it simmers away at your table. We could not finish the whole pot and decided to take the rest home as neither of us had room to eat any more carbs. We'll be back to enjoy more of CSO's yummy offerings soon!

Yelp
very solid spot for gamjatang. really like the classic side dishes, the kimchi and fish cake are my favorites! stew also comes with rice.

Yelp
Stepping in for a weekday lunch, we were the 5th in line, but we were seated in about 15 minutes. All the seating were fixed in booths, which our youngest (a foodie) pointed out didn't maximize the number of possible seats, but were more stable especially when the hot pot dishes (with an open flame) are served at the table. One refill is permitted with any of the banchan. We agreed we liked the marinated fishcake at SDG in Hartsdale more, but this kimchi might have been the best we've ever had. Didn't get pictures of galbi tang and gamja tang. The foodie pronounced this the better galbi tang. Proud of Raphy for going for the more spicy spicy sauce than the cold, slushy broth. Loved the Korean army stew, which used Korean luncheon meat and sausages which are less salty. There were so many Korean restaurants in this section of town. They're probably all excellent, but we're glad we came here.

Yelp
April 22, 2023 - Dinner with friends :D It's quite busy and we had to join a waiting list. Not surprised, this restaurant was good. Lots of seats and space, the staff was nice and quite helpful. We ordered Chapsal Soondae Jjinmandu 2 Mool Naengmyun L.A Galbi Gamjatang Jeongol Yookgae Jang Jangjorim Dolsot Bibimbap 2 Imported Beer Makgeolli The Soondae is a must!! It was so yummy. The pork bone soup was so good, everyone really enjoyed how soft the meat was! We all enjoyed our dishes. Definitely will go here again.

Yelp
Visited during a bustling evening, and the place was packed. Service was okay, with a few hiccups, but nothing too bad. My personal favourite was their cold noodles--refreshing and unique. The rest of the menu is pretty standard, nothing extraordinary. Despite the crowds and service, I'd come back for those delicious cold noodles!

Yelp
Place is so busy! Get there early! The cold noodles are so delicious. Chewy , salty and so refreshing. The perfect meal on a hot day! Bimbimbap was soso, but the don Katsu was great! Need to bring more friends here!

Yelp
Love this place! This is my favourite place for Korean cold noodles, arguably one of my favourite place for Korean food in general! The cold noodles are refreshing, filling, full of flavours and always hits the spot for me.

Yelp
The best cold noodle in town! When you come to Cho Sun Ok, you come for one thing only. Their delicious cold slushy broth noodle, and that is exactly what I did! The wait times are long, so be prepared to come earlier and put your name down on the list. It's a super fast paced restaurant with lots of servers around. I got the slushy broth cold noodle and it was cold, slushy, had a slight spice, super chewy noodles and topped it with vinegar to my liking. They also give you mustard which is common to eat with cold noodles, but I like mine with just the vinegar. This is without question a dish that is 10/10. Also got a pork bone soup and it was very delicious as well. Generous amount of pork bones swimming in that hot boiling spicy soup. Paired perfectly with the purple rice that comes with this meal on the side! This was also a dish that is 10/10. The side of steamed mandu that we ordered was nothing special and I probably would not get this again next time I visit. It was a "nice to have" item to change up the palate while eating though. Sides are unlimited and can be refilled multiple times. I personally love their fish cake side. Other sides are also pretty standard here! Overall, you have to come try their slushy broth cold noodle - especially in the summer. It's so refreshing and light compared to other hot noodle soups!
google avatar

Winona H.

Yelp
the homemade slushy broth is soo refreshing with perfect umami and makes a huge difference in a good cold nooodle. I've even come here in the middle of winter and almost every table still gets the cold noodles their gamja tang is also one of my faves in GTA, even better than some specialized gamja tang places i've had Just a solid korean place overall with really friendly staff and delicious food on our menu : Steamed Mandoo (8.5/10 ) Mool Naengmyun (9/10 ) Kimchi Jjim (8/10 ) Gamja Tang (9/10 )

Yelp
This is THE spot for Korean cold noodles! MUST order!! I frequented this spot all summer long after my Korean friend brought me take-out cold noodles (naengmyun). Ever since then I have been hooked! While the cold noodles seem really simple; literally just arrowroot noodles, slushy broth + radish/cucumber & an egg, I am always pleasantly impressed by how flavourful & refreshing it is every. single. time. I have stained 2 shirts already from slurping cold noods here lol They have 2 versions of cold noodles; 1) mool naengmyun (cold noodles with slushy soup) 2) bibim naengmyun (cold noodles without soup/dry). After trying both multiple times I have to say my favourite is the bibim naengmyun since I find it way more spicier & flavourful! They also cook their noodles perfectly & consistently every time! I've also had their pork blood sausage (soondae) and it's a great snack! Overall the decor in this place is pretty bare & basic, service is okay since they do get busy often but the cold noodles here are amazing! I def recommend! There are still more items I want to try here like their gamjatang! I'll be coming back soon for some hot soups!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious quality Korean food. If you're a lover of cold noodles like me, this place is known for it so check it out. We ordered the mool naengmyun with galbi combo and bibimbap. While the galbi was good no complaints, the price point for the add-on combo with the cold noodles was a bit rich, more than doubling the cost of the actual noodle dish alone. The portion size of the noodle is enormous however and could share between the two. They noted their kimchi is homemade and is pretty good in my books. Will come back for just the cold noodle alone! So refreshing! My partner enjoyed his bibimbap as well. Unlike most poppin' Korean restaurants, which are a bit small, this place offers plenty of seating. Likely able to walk in and get a table available more quickly than the smaller Korean joints that are around the area.

Yelp
This place gets insanely packed, Korean food is so different, the service was excellent put our name down called us quickly, we ordered the Bulnak jeongol and chicken katsu and they threw in a free appetizer sweet and sour chicken, let's start with the free dish the chicken was crispy had lots of vegetables and a sweet and sour sauce it melts in your mouth, the interior is nice not very spacious so make sure you come early and we're your name or you'll be waiting for a long time, the bulnak jeongol a bit pricey but massive easily can feed three people it's a soup which they heat up right in front of you over a fire with a ton of beef and squid and noodles it packed heat and lots of flavour, the broth is so flavourful, and the side dishes complements it nicely, the bulnak was awesome probably the best Korean I tasted so far, there were noodles in it too, I would recommend this dish if your bringing a lot of people with you then it's definitely worth it. Nice selection of dishes, and they which ones have pork if you don't eat pork so that's is really good, I really love that experience when they brought the big pot with the beef I was scared for a bit that they're serving raw beef then the staff turned on the fire and we saw it bubbling, and the beef was super hot and tasty, and they give complementary richer and kimchi and soup which was so tasty. I would recommend to people if you like spicy, if you like something different and you're open to trying unique food.

Yelp
All the dishes we tried merit 3 stars imo w/ the exception of the kalbi tang which was just as good as the mool naenmyun (cold noodles). Kalbi tang: Broth was really flavourful and contained quite a lot of meat. Great bang for buck. Would definitely order this again. Fried mandus: If you had told me these were not made in-house I wouldn't have batted an eye. Nevertheless, they do give you a nice big plate for an appetizer, which is more than a lot of other korean restos. Bibimbap: Nothing special about this bibimbap. Literally tastes like Owl of Minerva's Bibimbap. Gamjatang: Soup could've been more flavorful. The meat was tender which was great. Potato was not cooked all the way through so it was still hard. Tangsooyuk (chicken): The batter was too thick and some pieces didn't even contain chicken inside them. The meat was also overcooked on some of the pieces and so you had bits n pieces of tender chicken and other bits n pieces that were overcooked to the moon. Yook gae jang: This dish looked like it had a lot going on, appearance-wise. But when I tasted it I only tasted peppercorns. As mid as the pork bone soup was, I would rather order that again than this yook gae jang. Only 2 things I tried here seemed like "must-orders" for a second visit. The cold noodles and the kalbi tang (the gamjatang was slightly above avg; at least the meat was tender). Everything else I would say is at the same level as any of the mom and pop stores you can find around Richmond Hill or Markham. My verdict would be more along the lines of 3.5/5 stars but because they specialize in cold noodles and my friend's noodles DID taste exceptionally good, I'll bump my review up to 4 stars. If you're not particularly in the mood for cold noodles this place isn't a must-try imo.

Yelp
Popular spot for the Naengmyeon (cold noodles) but on this visit I ordered some other dishes, the Kimchi Jjim, and Soondae (because my girlfriend has never tried it). The Kimchi Jjim is a plate of braised pork belly with kimchi. Pork belly was so tender and went very well with the kimchi with some rice. It was a little sour for my taste, but I know some like their kimchi sour. I also do really like the naengmyeon here, it's where I tried it for the first time. It's nice and refreshing. Chewy noodles with a cold slushy broth. Service is friendly and price is reasonable.

Yelp
Did not disappoint!!!! Best Korean food in Markham area; no competition. I am from the US and I am surprised with how the food is well prepared. The cold noodle dish is their signature meal but our party order pretty much 1/4 of everything on the menu. Each one of them is perfectly prepared. The highlight (of course) is mul Nangmyeon and gamja tang

Yelp
You know it's a very good Korean restaurant when they serve you hot barley tea first, and they sell house made kimchi in the restaurant. We tried their , and it was delicious! The flavors were refreshing and spicy. On a cold day, a hot pot for two or even a pot of soup with rice and is what you only need. I would come here again for their , and for their soups!

Yelp
This restaurant is known for its cold noodles so that's all I ordered. There are a steady stream of customers so it's a popular place. The service is fast and friendly every time I've been there. The Korean cold noodles are really good. This version has some kick with the spices they add which complements the noodle flavours surprisingly well. Parking is semi limited so make sure to arrive early. They accept credit card.

Yelp
This place is famous for their cold noodles. It's so good and refreshing, perfect for a hot summer day. It comes with unlimited side dishes. I ordered the soon tofu soup and it was great as well. I came on a Saturday afternoon and there was a wait out the door but the line does move fast. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back!

Yelp
We ordered a galbi tang and the famous cold noodle soup with galbi. The side dishes were also super tasty and they came back to give us refills. I loved the galbi tang, the beef was very thick not as tender as I'd like. The cold noodle soup was very interesting, it had hints of pear in the soup. I was a little thrown off because it was cold but my fiancé thought it was very refreshing and enjoyed it. The galbi was very tasty, fatty. There was a bit of a wait and the parking lot was also packed. So come early and make sure you get on the waitlist. Staff was super friendly though.

Yelp
Best Korean restaurant in the North York/Thornhill region by far! It was so authentic and the service was impeccable - they were extremely attentive and the food came out super fast. It was my first time trying soondae and it was amazing -- the sausage here is so flavourful and taste home made. You can also never go wrong with bibimbap but the ingredients tasted so fresh! The kimchi here is also made in house and was AMAZING

Yelp
Korean cold noodles that hit the spot. Their sweet and sour pork is good too. Always busy, always packed - always waiting but it's always worth it. We come here often for their famous cold noodles, we hope and pray there is never a line but this place ain't a secret. The owner is always there and making sure the ship is sailing smoothly. Cold noodles always hit the spot especially on a hot summer day in Toronto. Service is exceptional, the aunties at this restaurant take care of you. Parking: Not a lot of spots, if you wait you may get one. Try to carpool.

Yelp
My favorite spot for cold noodles if anyone has a better suggestion let me know. I don't know why my brain couldn't comprehend how a fruity, Icy sour and sweet broth could be so refreshing! Honestly I never tried anything else. I would come during the summer just for the cold noodles

Yelp
Solid 3.5 to 4 star food. 5 star for friendly service. We really enjoyed this spot. Have always wanted to come try their cold noodles in the summer but never had a chance. Came during winter so didn't order the cold noodles, but tried a few dishes that were quite nice. Kimchi jjim - braised kimchi with pork belly. Super flavourful kimchi and the pork belly was nice and tender. Goes so well with the purple rice that it comes with. Hangover soup - so simple yet delicious! We were a fan, very comforting. First time trying kimchi jjim and hangover soup so nothing to compare them to, but both were delicious. We also tried their pork tangsooyuk which is a dish I prefer more than sweet and sour pork. As a personal preference, it was a bit too sweet for us and it could have been a bit crispier. But we did love that it came with apples, oranges, cucumbers and onions as palate cleansers. Overall a lovely meal and service was great, everyone was so friendly. Big portion sizes. We will definitely be back to try their cold noodles and other dishes.

Yelp
I was craving yukgaejang and the bowl I had at Cho Sun Ok was delicious. Huge portion, nice and spicy (don't order if you can't handle spicy food) with lots of beef. The portions of egg, beef, and scallion were well balanced. We also ordered fried mandu, which were also great. The banchan was standard but good and I especially liked the kkakdugi. Service was prompt and the checkout process was easy, they're cashing people out at their tables due to COVID. Overall had a great meal here and would definitely return to try more off the menu.

Yelp
Pretty good, and very spicy! Fast service and very friendly. They thought my girlfriend was Korean, so we didn't understand a word they said hahaha. Very clean and settling. Would recommend!

Yelp
Reliable and consistent quality Korean food. Their pork bone soup came with 2 huge bones and some pepper-looking spice on top which was different and I really enjoyed it. Their pork belly dish with the whole kimchi cabbage has an amazing flavour and is worth trying. I have also tried their cold noodles, which are perfectly chewy. I tend to prefer the non-slushy broth. The restaurant itself is usually pretty busy, but they have booth seating so the eating experience is nice. Service is quick. And the menu is the placemat.

Yelp
Parking is tight here but with patience, you can secure a spot for free. It is definitely a super popular place that requires a lot of waiting- 30 minutes on average. The restaurant is big but the seating arrangements are uncomfortably close together to fit more tables. Their Bahn Chan selection is good and the service was alright (a bit rushed due to how busy it gets). DON KATSU Comes with two large pieces of katsu, rice and a salad. The cutlets were very thin but crispy and maintained all of its moisture. I wasn't a big fan of the sauce that came with it but it was a dish that definitely needed sauce. KIMCHI JJIM One of the most popular items at this restaurant which I was excited for but expectations fell short. The pork belly was chewy and not as tender as I would have preferred. PORK BONE SOUP The soup itself was spicy, rich and delicious- very hearty and comforting. Tender pork. Soft Potatoes. Overall, the taste was better than a few other restaurants I've been to. NOTE: THEY ARE CLOSED ON TUESDAYS. [3.5*]

Yelp
Heard lots of great things about this place before I went, from people that I know they all recommended their cold noodle + Soondae Guk(#21) blood sausage soup. I was craving something hot so I went with the latter. We also ordered Tangsooyook(#3) sweet and sour pork to share. 1. Food: blood sausage soup was amazing! I have never liked blood sausage because I found most of them having a foul taste, but this one was just amazing and so flavorful. get a spoonful of soup with some perilla seeds floating on top, let the seeds burst in your mouth with the flavors, what a great dish! If u r too scared of the pig organs, perhaps let them put on the side? U should at least try the pig ears, so crispy and good. I was not a fan of the tangsooyook, it simply just was flavorless, not sweet nor salty, and I don't get all those fruits in there, apple was good, but cucumber is just a little gross as it doesn't fit the texture of this dish in my opinion. Their side dishes took forever to come, but I love their kimchi, very delicious. 2. Service: they have limited side dishes refill, and their service is quite slow, I have been to lots of Korean restaurants and they r def one of the slowest. They aso got confused about who ordered what even though each dish has a number. That's the 1 star deducted Verdict: I will go back again to eat the cold noodle. It's good!

Yelp
My friend recommended this place to me said was the best Korean cold noodle place. And I agree. Bibim Naengmyun is the dried version of cold noodle, which makes it more tasty without soup. Mool Naengmyun is the testimonial cold noodle with soup inside and slush. Depends what you feel, I prefer the dried one. Chapsal is traditional Korean Sausage, made with sticky rice and pig blood. The dark color u see around the rice, that's actually blood. However, you won't taste the flavor of blood, it's very delicious! Very busy place, still lining up when we went there 3pm. Small, can be too crowded and noisy.
