Chobe Marina Lodge

A short drive from the Chobe National Park, this expansive unfenced game lodge offers wonderful views over the Chobe river and fabulous sightings of animals up close. Our comfortable double storey room was very spacious and beautifully decorated in an African style with a veranda and balcony overlooking the Chobe river, with animals grazing on the lawn right in front of us! Our room came with a comfortable king size bed, mosquito nets and mosquito repellent, huge en suite bathroom, air conditioning, hairdryer, complimentary water and television. Activities available were river cruises and 3 hour game drives in the National Park where we saw see elephants in abundance, impala, hippo, wildebeest, kudu, giraffe and lion, not to mention a huge range of different bird life. It was fabulous! We had the same guide Stanley for all our game drives and he was wonderful. We would highly recommend a holiday here

Wonderful common areas and grounds along the Chobe River. Room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the Chobe River. Pool area, bar and breakfast area are excellent, as was our sunset river cruise.Breakfast and other staff were attentive. Only oddity was that we could not break any small USD denomination (e.g., $10) into either USD or Pula for tips.

We were part of an Intrepid tour and loved this Lodge. Everything was good! The location, the staff, the food, the room. We saw warthogs and monkeys around the property. Even a sleeping smallish crocodile next to the ramp to the river for our river cruise. It felt safe and welcomiing. We would have liked to have stayed longer!

Had a great buffet lunch at Chobe Marina Lodge — the place was beautiful and perfect for a relaxing lunch break.

Chobe Marina Lodge was the highlight of our African holiday. The grounds were luxurious and breathtaking - a superb blend of rainforest treehouse and resort by the waterfront. Our rooms styled the same flavour, despite needing a little freshen up. |The lodge offered services of third parties that took River Cruise Safaris and Jeep safaris. This was the highlight of our trip. The animals on the Chobe River are unbelievable. We will be recommending Chobe Marina Lodge to everyone and we will return.

The staff is amazing, they made my stay feel like home. I like their visibility on the ground and how they will always ask if you slept well, if you are okay..... Oooh did I mention the afternoon service? The good night chocolate and bringing down ne mosquito net for you! How wonderful is that!

Beautiful setting and outdoor amenities. But the resort is designed for bus loads of crowds. All meals are buffet with the same food for dinner and lunch, but the trays of food are rearranged to make you think it is different. At least at breakfast you can order an omelet the way you want it.|I can only speak for Room #51, which is in the back with a wonderful view of the electrical boxes and by the employee parking lot with loud voices all day and into night. The hotel says 4 Star BUT his room was sad 2 star at best. The hand bars were hanging loose, poorly maintained, bed had deep holes in the mattress where people sleep, and dated. |You will not have a personal experience here but it is probably more affordable. |I will not go back.

The view from the Lodge is just what you need to refresh, its proximity to the Chobe River. The food and the drinks, amazing too. Its definitely my go to place whenever I feel like unwinding whether with family, friends or just alone.
