Choco-Latte Cafe

A quaint little breakfast / lunch eatery with inside & outside seating. The food was good, fast service & they make their bagels in-house / fresh! It's not very far from the down town area, away from the crowds (about 5 min. walk / a few blocks) - It was nice to have the dogs seated with us outside too!

Tasty coffee drinks and good food options for a cafe, including quesadillas, wraps, and salads. The chicken wrap was solid and satisfying for a cafe and makes a great lunch. Not exceptionally good food, but would happily come again. Service was fast, there is a bathroom and water cups.

Delicious coffee and plenty of seating. I tried their cinnamon cardamom latte and my sister tried their classic mocha. The flavors were very well balanced and not overly sweet. The espresso wasn’t out of this world, but it wasn’t bitter or too acidic either. They had a very wide menu, so it was definitely hard to decide what to get.

We met up with friends here. I had the choco-latte with avocado toast (yummy!) The others had various drinks and bagels. Very friendly place - lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Many working behind the counter - waits were minimal. Highly recommend.

Consistently Amazing Coffee! We first discovered Choco Latte during our fall trip last October and loved it so much we visited twice. Now, 8 months later, we’re back in Bar Harbor and had to stop by again and it’s just as good as we remembered! Their lattes are rich, hot, and full of flavor. Easily one of the best coffee spots in town. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a strong, satisfying cup.

Great coffee both hot and iced. Ordered 12oz of both the Cafe Bombon iced and hot regular latte. Both were great. This place also has good food options both little pastries and regular savory items (tacos, quesadillas, sandwiches, etc). There is seating outside and in but note that no dogs are allowed inside.

The iced lattes here are way out of proportion. 20oz as the only size is ludicrous. At that size, I'm just drinking a massive cup of milk where the inventive flavor combos they have on the menu are watered (milked?) down. The bagel was extremely subpar as well - the picture speaks for itself.

Once we discovered this place on our trip we went everyday for a week. We’re from Jersey, we know bagels, and the bagels here are INSANELY good. The blueberry cream cheese is amazing. The coffee is also delicious. The maple oat latte is to die for. I’ll dream about this place!!

During off season, when practically everything else is closed, one can't help but be truly grateful when someone is willing to wake up and get ready, open the cafe doors, brew several flasks of coffee, and get everything else set up to serve food and specialty coffees. They were open both on NYE and New Year's Day serving coffee and food while providing a cozy environment (especially with the high winds and rain this week). Sitting here reading on my phone, I was able to watch all the different people coming in and out, settling in some of the tables with their warm brew, enjoying a break from the weather outside...all obviously thankful a few young members of the community were willing to be here these two days. Oh, did I say that the staff were really friendly? I'm definitely grateful for a place to sit and read with fresh coffee when the conditions were not great (or safe) for a long hike...and the rest of the town was deep in hibernation. Not to mention, they have the works of local artists in rotation and I was able to see some of the paintings being displayed on one of their main walls. Always pretty cool to see businesses promote others within the community. Big thumbs up! Thank you and see you all again!

Choco-Latte is a good spot to stop at, offering a large menu of drinks and the ability to pivot if needed. Food items on the menu also. They have a book exchange and games you can play as well so stop in and burn some time.

Leaving this review because I cannot stop thinking about the Maine Maple Oat latte, I was absolutely fabulous...considering stop in on my way back through town because it was that good. Please try! Was roughly 9 dollars but unfortunately that's about what a good one costs these days but honestly worth every penny

The reviews I read were right, try their signature choco-latte!! You get the right hit of chocolate, cinnamon, and ginger, and your caffeine fix (-: The bagels we're nothing crazy. The staff were super sweet despite being busy and one of the only shops open during the winter season, tons of seating as well!

Everyone loves this place and now I know why! It's full of cheerful staff and delicious coffee. There's a pour your own station if you're not ordering anything fancy. The drip coffee is tasty and I wish I had picked up a bag to take home. The menu is creative with lots of bakery and breakfast options. I had avocado toast topped with tomato and micro greens with veggies sausage. It was two huge slices of bread that easily could have been 2 breakfasts. Mouth watering!

It's always a win if we can bring our dog to a business. They have seating outside that is dog friendly. We ordered a cafe bombón and a choco latte. Service was quick and they were both delicious. Everyone was friendly and it was wonderful being in such an inclusive business. They also had an online pickup counter.

Really nice local cafe serving breakfast which looked really good, coffee and teas. We were only are to visit once but I would visit again for breakfast and a cappuccino. Everyone there is so friendly and the cafe is easy to find. Nice laid back cafe to rest your weary feet.

We had a quick and cozy pitstop at this coffee shop and Café at the edge of town. We ended up ordering the Mexican hot chocolate with oat milk and it was quite delicious! Had I not been sharing it with my family, I would've opted for the spicier version :-) they offer variety of hot chocolates, coffee, drinks, and Latin inspired breakfast and lunch. The space has a bookshop feel to it with windows along the front. Overall, a good vibe and experience. They are located just a block from a nice little park and a few blocks from the shoreline.

Loved this local coffee shop!!! They offered unique lattes and teas, and prepared them with care. What was even nicer was having a nice warm store with plenty of seating areas to hang out during a cold afternoon rainstorm. Put Choco-Latte (and their signature choco-latte) on your must try list!

Such a cute location located on the Main street but not in the congested area. They offered homemade bagels and chives. We just came for a generic latte which was tasty and well needed. If our motel didn't offer such a lovely breakfast we would've loved to eat here.

We stopped in and got two chocolate latte coffees, and they were amazing! Not too sweet, with the perfect balance of rich chocolate flavor and a subtle kick from the ginger. The coffee had such a unique and delicious taste--I still think about it to this day. The atmosphere was really cute, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Such a great spot, and I'll definitely be coming back for more!

My husband got a latte with oat milk and enjoyed it. We like the vibe in here. Plenty of seating and very spacious. Plenty of room for a stroller as long as you can go up two steps :)

They had me at Choco-latte. Walking distance from our hotel. It was packed and the line was long. Ordered two coffees and they were ok. I saw many people waiting a long time for food. Lots of seating but they were all taken up. They did have wifi and one bathroom. The decor was cute and rustic. Good location on Main Street. Probably would go try something different next time. Loved that it was independently owned.

We are in Bar Harbor 6 days and we will have breakfast and possibly dinner here every day. The bagels are soft and fluffy and the cream cheese is all made in house. The spicy Mexican hot chocolate has warmed my bones on these cold mornings. We just stopped in for lunch and the birria tacos are to die for. Crips taco shell and succulent beef perfectly seasoned. My mouth and stomach will miss this cute little place

Since Choco-Latte was open late, we decided to stop by for a treat after a long day in Acadia. The interior was spacious but cozy, with lots of comfortable seating options. There was line to order, but it moved fairly quickly. My sister and I each got a Mexican Hot Chocolate, as well as a Blueberry Danish and Sea Salt Caramel Truffle to share. Service was friendly, and the Hot Chocolates didn't take long at all. We both loved our Mexican Hot Chocolate - great flavor, not overwhelmingly sweet! The Blueberry Danish was also tasty, but I'm sure they're much better in the mornings when they're freshly baked. The Sea Salt Caramel Truffle unfortunately was way too sweet for me, but I probably should've expected that. Overall though, a cute place - would return!

Great little coffee shop right off Main Street! It's easy to get to and they use local coffee (Acadia Coffee Company). They offer gluten free snacks but they're all Udi (win some, lose some). I got my default Iced Mocha with Oat Milk and it was wonderfully delicious! I was also shocked how kind all the patrons were as many were engaging and talkative!

This cafe is just all right, in my opinion. We ordered a hot Maple Oat Latte, an iced Maple Oat Latte, and a hot Honey Lavender Latte. For all the drinks, we couldn't really taste the maple OR the lavender...it was just very sweet. It was a very average coffee, although I did like the iced Maple Oat Latte the best. The drinks also took a while to come out, and they were expensive for how they tasted.

We have only ordered coffee but highly recommend! I'm a sucker for a cafe bombon and the homemade brown sugar cinnamon latte was a hit! Staff were very kind - great casual spot to grab a coffee and snack in the AM! (Or mid day)

The drinks at this cafe are so good that we didn't go to any other cafe in this town. The service was quick enough. Enough sitting space when we went in early May. Wifi and power outlets are plusses.

Cute little cafe in Bar Harbor. Parking in the area sucks, so go in the area with that expectation in advance. Was looking for a little cafe to have some cider or hot chocolate before dinner, and this place hit the spot. There's indoor and outdoor seating, local artists featured works available to purchase on the walls, and a fun vibe. I could see people spending quite a bit of time in here. There's a wide variety of drinks; we settled on an oatmilk latte with maple, a white hot chocolate, and a blueberry cream cheese danish. It can get busy, so we ended up sitting outside, which is great for people-watching. I'd visit again, for that danish and try to more flavors of fun fall drinks. Lots of stairs to get up to order your drink then down to a table.

Coffee was burnt tasting. The bagels were more Bialy style and really soft and chewy to the point where your jaw gets sore eating it. They were not toasted well and they both had the smallest amount of cream cheese possible on them. Flavor wasn't bad.

The coffeeshop is located on the outskirts of the downtown area. When I entered the shop, it was busy as a line was forming down the steps to order. I ordered cafe de olla and maple oat. The service was fast after I ordered my drinks. They didn't label the drinks so I had to ask the baristas which one has oat milk instead of whole; wish they would label the drinks. The lattes were good. I like that they have house made syrups and unique speciality drinks.

This place was just okay. Nothing to rave about. It was a cold day and I just needed a cup of coffee to warm up. They took a long time to make my order even though there weren't any people inside.

Such quick service! Had to go with the namesake, the choco-latte, and it was delectable. I'm a huge cinnamon fan, so it was great to be able to add both cinnamon and cocoa powder to the top. Ample seating and pleasant open door atmosphere!

This is a happening spot with great bagels! We got bagels and cream cheese with tomato and cucumber. You can build your own. They were delicious! The bagels are large, soft, and chewy with generous toppings. We waited in a long line at about 8:30am as it's a very popular spot. Seating was open and there were plenty of tables. Very family friendly, cute spot, with a great location. 1 star docked because they lost our order. After we waited in the long line, we waited and waited for our order to come up. After several orders after us got theirs we asked and they had no record of it. We double checked that our credit card was charged and it was. Slightly frustrating but worth the wait. Call and order before if you don't want to risk a line.

We visited on a sunny Fri morning at a friend's recommendation. Parking: easy, streetside, free before 9a Ambience (4/5): open concept, busy but tranquil, frequented by diverse groups of folks Coffee (4/5): we got the chocolatte iced (5.5) + cold brew (4.5). - choco-latte, their namesake, offered just as expected-- a delicious combo of my two favorite caffeinated beverages spiced with cinnamon. while i wasn't blown away, it was a solid and unique iced coffee. - cold brew: also very solid but not unforgettable. bold flavor of the coffee didnt quite cut through. Will I visit on a return trip? Probably, but only to try other items! While delicious, they left me curious as to what else they might have to offer.

Came here for breakfast - matcha latte and avocado toast. The avocado toast was a bit too creamy for my taste. I like chunks of avocado when I make it with toast. Other than that - ample seating - just your regular coffee shop.

Best coffee / latte in bar harbor. Period. The name may sound corny, but the place is legit. The Choco-latte itself is awesome and I got it on a whim the first time in and was hooked. After a disappointing visit to a certain hound up the strip I'm glad we tried this place.

Only downside is it felt like there was no AC and it got too warm to be comfortable. **Price & portion, 5/5** Pretty good prices for high quality coffee. **Taste of the food, 5/5** I wasn't sure what to order but decided on the choco-latte. I assumed that since it was the namesake, it might be their speciality. And WOW! So good! The coffee was perfectly sweet, smooth, a little bit thick and chocolatey, and accented with cinnamon and other spices. Such a nice pick me up and a delicious coffee and dessert in one! **Other notes** Gender neutral bathroom. Indoor and outdoor tables. WiFi password is on the chalkboard behind the counter.

Cute cafe big enough to do your work and sit down and chill in the busy city. But really extra money for just some honey? tears. Every single add in costs so much more money:/ Keep in mind none of the drinks came sweetened. You have to pay extra to get it sweeter or use the sugar packets to make it yourself. Not a fan of that as someone w a sweet tooth:( Matcha latte seemed pretty good quality. I think it would've tasted much better with some sweetness but I didn't know that it would come without any. Also the blueberry scone was just eh. Tasty but not very buttery or flakey. Tasted days old. Would maybe try another drink another day.

While visiting Bar Harbor we stopped for lunch. We ordered the verde chicken tacos and birria tacos. We were very pleasantly surprised. The birria tacos were very good. The meat was savory and the chicken tacos were flavorful. To drink we had the blueberry lemonade and the limonada which had ginger in it. We were very happy with our choices. Service was quick and courteous. Would definitely come again especially to try their breakfast items.

Had two different drinks on two different days and they were both fantastic! Had other iced coffee drinks in town but this place absolutely destroyed them. Go here first! So good.

It's a good find for what it is. We had a very hard time finding a cafe that we could work from with indoor seating and that was spacious. This place is packed - all day long. However, once the morning rush is over, it's not too bad. Plenty of natural light and plugs around the tables. The drinks are not impressive, but I did hear the hot chocolate is very good. We didn't get any and stuck to the teas and the coffees. The scones were good. However, if you're looking for a solid place to work or get stuff done while you're here, I highly recommend it. It's further down from the center of the hustle and bustle so we found easy street parking right in front.

The food and drinks were great! I had the verde taco which was one of the best tacos I've ever had, and a decaf Choco-latte. I would have loved to get a little more food for the price,but the taste made it worthwhile. The place was fairly crowded but it was still possible to choose a table. The staff were friendly and fast. The ambiance is great and felt comfortable for us - lots of light, kind of cool but unpretentious, just a really nice vibe.

I had a delicious cinnamon bun latte and a sesame bagel with maple cream cheese. Coffee was great, bagel and cream cheese were average. This place was hopping on a Sunday morning so it seems to be the spot! Limited indoor and outdoor seating so plan accordingly.

Homemade bagels are amazing, although way too much cream cheese for my liking. Perfect chew. Hot chocolate was really good too.

The service was terrible and the food was hit or miss. We went to Choco-Latte during the off season. It was on a relatively slow Saturday morning in April and there were three or four people working the counter. It's what the other poor reviews said--they got the order wrong and were not helpful. The clerk apparently didn't put my coffee on the order and they were not helpful when I asked about it. My pastry wasn't great--it didn't taste fresh, almost as if it had been in a freezer for too long. The avocado toast was good though. It's really too bad because there aren't a lot of choices in Bar Harbor in the off season and this place could be so much better.

Best coffee in town! ! I had a beautifully crafted mocha with oat milk and it was so delicious. We also split the avocado toast, it was delicious. While on vacation we came for morning coffee and afternoon iced coffee's everyday for a week! The best!

I can't attest for much here, but I can most certainly vouch for their namesake beverage, the Choco-Latte. SO delicious for an outdoor stroll on a fall afternoon that I had to order it two days in a row. It has their house-made chocolate syrup, a double shot of espresso, and those oh-so-wonderful autumnal spices of cinnamon and nutmeg. Craving it as I write this!

Choco-latte is a solid spot for a variety of drinks and snacks! (I have not eaten any food, but it looks and smells tasty.) Pros are the drink options, plenty of seating, and open year-round! It's a real pleasure to be there in the off-season and see what a regular part of people's routine it is. The only negative is in the service category. On two consecutive visits, our order was incorrect both times. If this doesn't bother you, then 5 stars! If it does, ask for the order to be repeated before paying. Definitely worth your stop if you need a comforting beverage.

4.5 stars! Came in looking to get some pastries or something to warm up and was excited to see the varieties of hot chocolates they had. Easily ordered they house made hot chocolate and I regret getting the smallest size. It hit the spot after a long day of hiking and had a nice rich flavor that didn't overwhelm you, but made you want to drink more. Also the food was big surprise. They offer a lot of food, including some Mexican style foods like tacos, quesadillas, birria and chicken verde. Was a bit skeptical so I got the quesadilla with chicken and it was fire! Toasted excellently, the chicken verde in the quesadilla was juicy and gave the meal a great flavor. Loaded with cheese and a god size of chicken, paired with some pico and sour cream in the sides. Hit the spot, especially after eating a bunch of sea food over the last few days Would come back without a question! Nice spot and chill ambiance. Seating isn't the best, but if you can find a spot to eat and drink, you'll enjoy it a lot!

Great pre-hike stop! Before we trekked our way into the mountains of Acadia, we popped into Choco-Latte the second it opened. I grabbed myself a maple (half caff) latte with whole milk and a blueberry scone; delicious. Nice staff, quick service. The ambiance gave me mom and pop vibes. Beautiful art on the walls. Games also available if you plan on hanging out. It's one of the very few places for grab and go coffee in the Bar Harbor area, and a good place to check out!

Great place for coffee and cafe food when visiting bar harbor. This location was conveniently located a block away from where I was staying. The service was quick and friendly. I got their maple latte with nutmeg and came another time to try their oatmilk latte. The drinks were warm and perfect on a cold, windy day. Paid parking in front and bathroom for customers. They also have free wifi

Really tasty lattes. We stopped in for a wonderful lunch and had bagels and tacos. The truffles were also amazing.

Would not recommend this place. Vibe is not for everyone. You'll be prompted to tip 20% on your coffee order and then pour your own coffee at a self serve station... What? Coffee was fine. Coffee place at the stadium was better for the price and service.
