"As interesting as Incan history can be to adults, to kids even the most awe-inspiring sites can start to look like a bunch of rocks. The ChocoMuseo provides agreat time-out for children (and grown-ups, too). Exhibits on the history of chocolate take you all the way from bean to bar, explaining how one of the world’s all-time favorite flavors reaches the forms you know and love. The museum’s workshop is especially recommended: Participants make their own candy . . . and devour it as soon as it hardens."

Man, this is my kind of place! You walk in and they offer you chocolate! You can take a free tour with information on how cocoa is harvested and prepared. They have a cafe, chocolate making classes, cooking classes, and cocoa products of ALL KINDS. I definitely left with a bag in hand!

This was a great experience! We booked a chocolate making class that included brief history/education of the plant & choosing, roasting, peeling & grinding our own chocolate to make a variety of beverages. Next we chose a mold & chocolate type [dark, milk, white] to create our own to take home. While our creations chilled, we tried a variety of products made at the facility including chocolate spreads & flavored pisco. There is also a gift shop with a large variety of snacks & other items with chocolate such as lotion [ which smells great & makes your hands so soft!] I would definitely visit this or any other location in the future.

A must do in Lima is ChocoMuseo's Bean to Bar workshop! It's one of the coolest things I have ever done, and I recommend it to anyone regardless of age. This is a class that people 5 to 105 could truly enjoy. Due to covid, classes are small and it's only you and your party, no strangers to worry about. This is ideal for me anyway. I was worried, as an English-only tourist, that the workshop would be only in Spanish. But fear not! My guide spoke clear, fluent English and she was very easy to understand. You will be walked through the process of making chocolate, the entire thing- from growing the cocoa tree to making chocolate bars. You'll roast your own beans, grind them up, and make artisan chocolate. As a fun bonus, you also learn to make several cocoa based drinks that the ancient Mayans drank, and they're delicious! I just happened to find this workshop, but it's truly one of the things you must do when visiting Lima if you love chocolate! I learned so much, and had so much fun!

This is one of those places you must visit an explore. We had a lovely tour and a bonus hot chocolate which was well overdue for me. The range of chocolate is good along with liqueurs and tasting treats. You can see the chocolate being made as well. There was a little chocolate making class going on for tiny tots while we were there too. Prices are reasonable and if I wasn’t heading to hot hot Mexico I would’ve bought some. Not wheelchair friendly as on the second floor. Kid friendly. Staff attentive. Not sure if free wifi. Note: this is a chain and they are in most reasonable sized cities I visited - Lima, Cusco, Arequipa, Ollantaytambo.

Very nice place to know about Peruvian chocolate, you'll have a quick tour about preparation processes and the like, the sell custom icescreams, chocolate pops, Colognes for the hands based on chocolate, decorated cups and many more

Extremely enjoyable and entertaining experience. We only popped in for a quick look around and stayed for a mini tour, learning plenty about cocoa production in Peru. The store has lots of gift options to take back home! Super friendly and knowledgable staff.

We enjoyed the 2 hour bean to bar course. We got to try three different drinks made from cocoa beans. We learned the process of making chocolate and made our own bars with many toppings.

Definitely worth checking out. Apparently they have classes where you learn to make your own chocolate
