Best Korean restaurant in Hannover! Tasty and authentic Korean food. Friendly staff.

The (only) Korean restaurant in Hannover that i know. The foods are nice and original. One tip: you should try Kimchi pancake (Kimchi Dschon) :) They also have the barbecue and hotpot menus. The minus point is the restaurant doesn’t have barbecue exhaust hood system (Dunstabzughaube) installed. Also they don’t give many side dishes like before :( But overall it’s a really nice restaurant with a nice service.

They were super friendly and served us faster because we had to leave in time. We had the normal bibimbap and the vegetarian version. Both were very delicious. Additionally they served us side dishes and a snack for free. Bibimbap was around 14€ and a large drink was about 4€

It was a really nice experience but next time we would rather order something else than a hot pot even though it was really good anyways. We can just recommend this place and especially the fried chicken!!!

For a vegan or vegetarian unfortunately not to recommend. The food selection is little and the food had only light flavours not like in South Korea. The prices on the other hand are super high and not understandable in flavour, quality or amount of food. The service was really kind and friendly.

We're two foodies especially when it comes to K food. This place serving authentic Korean dishes is highly recommended when you're visiting Hanover! Portions are generous and super tasty. The beef hotpot and crispy pancake are definitely the highlights of the evening well everything was very delicious. Cozy restaurant with friendly service! Great value for money! We'll be back for sure! PS: I was challenged (by a friend) to collect hearts (two hands forming a heart shape), one of those staffs was probably way too shy to play along so I failed the challenge 😂😂😂

Update: March 2, 2024 I visited Chois again after a disappointing first experience. This time, the side-dishes tasted rich and authentic. We ordered the bibimbap, ohsambulgogi, and yangnyeom chicken. The bibimbap was delicious and kept to the original flavours. The ohsambulgogi was also okay but altered for local tastes, and the yangnyeom chicken reminded me of my childhood. All in all, a great second experience! The atmosphere was very nice, and I agree that everything looked quite authentic. I appreciated the variety of different side dishes. I ordered the sundubujjigae (soft tofu, seaweed soup) and the yangnyum chicken (spicy fried chicken). Unfortunately, I was really disappointed by the inauthentic tastes of the dishes. The fried chicken had too much breading, and the soup tasted as though some tofu and seafood mix had been chucked into a very salty kimchi stew. To top things off, the quintessential egg in the soup was missing. I left most of my food untouched, and the serving staff did not look surprised (as I am Korean). I really hope my meal was an anomaly because I would hate to know that the rich flavours of Korean food are being presented in this way.

It was not exactly what I expected because I’ve been in Korea and had real Korean food there. But the food here was very tasty and service was quick+friendly so I would love to visit again!
