10/10! Highly recommend! Loved this place! My friend is a vegan and chose this restaurant specifically for the vegan menu. Came in at 4pm on a Sunday and was seated right away. The sever was quick to get us drinks and take our order. The menu is extensive, with so many options and so many different ingredients used in every dish. I went with the wonton hot pot soup and my friend went with the pineapple fried rice with fried tofu. My soup for so simple yet so flavorful. The broth was sooo good. I was so full, sad I couldn’t finish it! My friends dish was AMAZING. The flavors in the pineapple fried rice were unbelievable, so many flavors in one dish. As a vegan she said that was the best fried rice she has ever eaten! I cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu!!

Google
Absolutely incredible experience! The Yum Nua was the highlight! bursting with flavor and had the perfect level of spice. The Red Curry was also rich and delicious. A huge shoutout to Sandy! her recommendations were spot on, and her service was beyond excellent. High-quality food that’s definitely worth every penny. 5/5 stars!

Anika H.

Google
I had the pad Thai, my husband had the Kow Soy, and my mother had the Tom Com, ALL INCREDIBLE!!! Would eat here every week and the workers are very attentive and helpful. 10/10

Google
Hands down the best Thai food in the area! If you love bold flavors and standout spicy curries, this is the place. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew were perfectly seasoned, and the Yum Woonsen is an absolute must! so fresh and flavorful! To top it off, the service was incredible; Sandy is the best! She was so attentive and gave us great recommendations. High quality, authentic food, and great value for money. 5/5 stars!

Google
This is my favorite Thai spot! The Tom Yum soup is incredibly aromatic and has the perfect spicy-sour balance. Another standout is the Green Curry so creamy, authentic, and packed with flavor. Sandy provided top-notch service and made us feel so welcome. Everything is fresh and reasonably priced. Highly recommended

Google
We like the place. My friends and I went there on Sunday for dinner. The restaurant was almost full.We ordered shrimp pad thai , yellow curry and crispy garlic chicken. The food was so good. I love the crispy garlic chicken and pad thai noodles was perfect and delicious. The service is good and acceptable. The food was taking a while because they were so busy at the time. We definitely go back again.

Google
The best Thai food I’ve tried so far in Phoenix, hands down. Also, perfect for vegetarians and vegans! They have an extensive vegan menu and the food is equally as delicious as the regular menu! Their Drunken Noodles is excellent. We’ve tried the Red curry and Panang as well, both of which have been great. In fact, I have yet to experience anything disappointing from her, it’s always delicious! The decor inside a nicely done and the service is kind and efficient. I really hope that more people experience how excellent this place is, but also kind of love that it’s a little hidden gem.

Google
Best Thai food restaurant anywhere in the valley. They’re crispy garlic chicken is to die for and will need you craving more. The waitress is amazing and always remembers our order. 10 out of 10 would recommend.!

Yelp
Great service , awesome food, ice atmosphere- what more could you ask for ? We keep getting impressed with every visit here. Very consistently good !

Yelp
I DoorDash from this Thai spot probably 4-5 times a month. I absolutely love their Pad Thai and Tom Kha soup. The lunch special is a great deal as well compared to many of the other Thai restaurants in the area. Spice level is also Thai spice, meaning, even "mild" you're going to taste a little kick. ;) Also, their sticky rice and mango and sticky rice dessert is also legit!

Yelp
Came here for Tom Ka and eggplant dish! There are plenty of parkings and it's a cute place. Tom Ka was ok as it was bit too sweet, Eggplant basil with pork was yummy- yet eggplant could be cooked a bit more! And the sauce was flavorful. And their portion, in terms of food dishes seems a bit smaller than other places! Service was good!

Yelp
The service here was incredible! Our waitress was delightful. The atmosphere was laid back and pleasant. We ordered the Thai tea, Thai hot drunken noodles, red curry, and sticky rice with ice cream! The Drunken Noodles were majorly delicious. I have a really hard time finding food that is spicy enough for me, but this noodle dish satisfied the itch. Next time I may opt for Super hot, which is a level above. It was spicy, but it didn't overshadow the delicious blend of Thai spices. The actual noodles were thin and just wonderful. Big win for a drunken noodle enthusiast! The red curry was also delicious. It was served steaming hot. This was definitely a sweeter curry. This was not my husband's favorite but I was a fan! If you are craving a more savory curry I wouldn't go for the red. It also made delicious leftovers which I appreciated. The sticky rice was alright. The ice cream was delicious! The rice had hardened a little bit and was almost... chewy? It formed together in rigid clump which wasn't my favorite, but the flavor was good! Mangoes were out of season or else we would have tried the mango sticky rice! The Thai tea was amazinggggg. Our server also gave us another boba on the house and we opted for the taro milk tea! The taro was pretty dang good. Overall we had a wonderful time and will DEFINITELY be back for the drunken noodles and to try a few other dishes!

Yelp
We found this place on a whim and I'm so glad we tried it. It's a very nice low light restaurant good for going with friends and eating some good food. The service was very friendly and quick which was a plus. We ordered the massaman curry which I will now be ordering for now on it was so creamy and had a great flavor. We also ordered pad see ew with beef and it was delicious. Lots of vegetables which I love. I can't wait to come back to this place!

Yelp
The best spot to come, we always enjoy eating here -today went out of my old favorite and thrived yellow curry with tofu -it was amazing, taste out of this world . Definitely will be having this again.. as always excellent service, fast friendly, clean inside , not expensive at all with big portions.

Yelp
It appears they are switching owners or changing their name from Chon Thai to Farm Suk. Good food, pad Thai is a little bland, but the soup was packed with great flavors.

Yelp
Good! Big curry portions. The yellow curry and chicken pumpkin curry are good options. Big bowls. I left STUFFED. Very friendly and accommodating service. If I went back I'd get the Kao Soi. It's like the yellow curry but better under the specialty menu and much tastier.

Yelp
I have never had a meal where just about everything was inedible. The soup of the day was vegetable soup. Horrible sour taste and large amount of cucumbers in it. Not a fan of that. When the waitress saw that none of us ate it she said she didn't lite it either. The fresh spring rolls arrived. It was mostly stuffed with lettuce. We had to remove the bean sprouts as the were brown. The peanut sauce was ok but had an unappetizing congealed consistency. The lunch special comes with a cream cheese puff They were ice cold out of the fridge. So gross. We were served drunken noodles that tasted like a dirty grill. I ordered the Thai red curry. I paid extra for seafood. For that I received two shrimps, one baby scallop and one mussel. Again the curry had cooked cucumber not zucchini. For $19 the curry came in a small soup cup. Seriously the worst restaurant meal I have ever had Services wasn't good. We had to go up to the counter to get the waitress"attention. We also had to ask twice for a condiment I hope I don't get food poisoning

Yelp
This place is a mile from my house and we've always wanted to go but keep forgetting. I follow their social media and when they posted that they were under new ownership and then saw people raving, I knew we had to go. It was amazing!! Lunch prices are really reasonable and the portions are large. Garlic chicken was tender breast meat, thin breading, and a rich sauce. I had the chicken pad Thai with Thai spicy sauce and wow, amazing and so hot!! Every bite was delicious and burned my mouth but I loved it. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea boba and it was the best ever and was the cutest presentation and only $6. We will go back again and again and cannot wait. Run there now!

Yelp
Excellent place for Thai food. Quick friendly professional service and extensive menu with plenty of options. Great prices and good portions. Easy plaza parking.

Yelp
Just a quick update, went back today. Very clean as always, super friendly staff, and my Red Curry Chicken (Hot) was absolutely delicious. Very creamy and a great spice level as well. Chon Thai, still a 10/10!

Toni S.

Yelp
I ordered Pad Thai and my husband ordered the Thai Basil Ground Chicken. Although my Pad Thai was not as I wanted it to be based on what I tasted in other places, it came close to being authentic. It needed more bean sprouts, red pepper flakes, slices of green onions, eggs and other seasoning. However, my husband raved about his dish. It came with a serving of white rice. He loved every single bite. For dessert we had fried banana drizzled with honey and a huge scoop of coconut ice cream. The banana was served hot and crispy. It was wonderful!! Our server was from So. Africa who sounded Australian. She was really friendly and quite efficient. We were served immediately after being seated. She was excellent. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. It felt welcoming. All in all, we'll go back again the next time we're in Chandler.

Yelp
Very delicious Thai food. Plenty of seating in the restaurant. Nice and clean. Service is really fast and waitress is very friendly. Great location and definitely will come back.

Yelp
This is our go-to place for Thai food. We had unexpected family in town and brought them here last week. What's fun is that one of our family members lived in Thailand for 2 years and got to use his Thai again. The owner was there and treated him like family and they enjoyed speaking in Thai and talking about favorite Thai foods and even what Americans might like that she doesn't serve yet. She was generous and sent home a sample of sauce she made that wasn't on the day's menu. That was fun! This is a great place if you like a happy, lively atmosphere. It's kind of like the tv show Cheers! They will remember you. With winter upon us and cold/flu season, I recommend ordering the Massuman curry medium to hot spice level. The spices are so great for the body and helps it clear up illness fast. Use Door Dash or something and get some spicy food delivered.

Yelp
Went here with my family and the hostess wearing the hijab was so nice and attentive to us. Not sure if we were just hungry or being spoiled with niceness, but the food was tasting so fresh and delicious! The Pad See Ew was so flavorful and just the right amount of heat for my grandma, but you have the option to change the spice level! One of the better Thai places I've had in Arizona, for sure! Also the decor was cute and tasteful.

Yelp
The last time we were here was pre-covid I decided since it was close to the house to have a nice walk to dinner. Chon Thai used to have great food, and I had been dreaming about their Tom Yum Veggie Soup. I was greeted at the entrance; told I could find a seat and was handed a menu. I started with the spring rolls from the appetizers list. When it came out it was a perfect temperature. However, once biting into it the texture was off. It was not crispy, and the sauce was horrible. No flavor and just tasted gross. I'm not sure if the oil is old as it's the only thing, I can think of that would cause the rolls to taste so off. So, I ate only one and decided to forgo the other two. For the main course, we ordered 1 medium spicy beef drunken noodle and one Thai Spicy Veggie drunken noodle. (Thai Spicy was for me). The noodles are thinner than we're used to, but they were cooked right. The flavors were off though. No flavor and there were stringy chunks of egg in my drunken noodle. The Tom Yum soup was the biggest disappointment. All I could taste was tomato base and it was just plain. Service was mediocre and I just don't see us coming back here. Keep in mind this restaurant has an additional charge of 3.5% if you pay by credit card, but if you pay cash, they give you a discount of 5%.

Yelp
Yellow Curry Chicken And Pineapple Fried rice. Spice level -medium Absolutely delicious. I was just passing by and decided to stop. So very glad I did.
google avatar

Sherri H.

Yelp
My husband and I just ate here. Our beef soup was great. The calamari was way overcooked. Service was okay. The problem was when we paid out with a debt card we were charged a 3.5 percent processing fee, we talked to our waitress to let her know this is illegal but she said it was nothing she could do because the machine is set on that and they are looking at that too change the charges on debt cards. Unfortunately now I'll have to dispute this with our bank.

Yelp
Went to Chon Thai for lunch with some colleagues and the food and service was great. I got the Mussaman Curry and a Thai iced tea. I got the mild spice level because I was feeling wimpy today but I really didn't notice much heat so I might kick it up a notch next time. The portions were generous and the lunch specials looked like great deals even though we didn't get them this time. I can't say I'm a Thai connoisseur but it was good and I plan to go again

Yelp
Fantastic food and excellent service. A must try. We had the lettuce wraps and mango salad for appetizers. For dinner we ordered drunken noodles, egg plant with basil, Thai Rama. All these entrees we chose chicken. We also had Pad Prik Khing with pork. All four dishes got the thumbs up from the four of us. We will be back. FYI- the name is changing to Farm Suk House.

Yelp
Terrible customer service!! From the owner/ manager. I'm not really sure if this place has a new owner or not? In the past It was my go to Thai restaurant for excellent food and friendly service. But not this time. My friends were in the area visiting and asked me if I recommended a great place for Thai food and I said yes and suggested this restaurant. All three of our dishes that we ordered came out so spicy with different spice levels that we had originally ordered. We tried really hard to push through to eat our food and not ask about it or complain. But it was very unpleasant, we finally had to ask and say something to our server. She asked what she could do and I suggested maybe three complementary Thai teas would help cool down our mouths. She said ok I'll go ask. She then came back and said sorry the owner said no I can't do that. And then said I apologize we have a new cook and he is still learning and trying to figure out the difference in the levels of spice. So then we said ok what can we do so we can try to continue to eat our food? The owner finally came out and asked us what the problem is? In a tee shirt saying. I'd rather be in bed....lol we explained to her that our food is too spicy hot to eat. And mentioned that we were told that you have a new cook learning. She then says NO, I made all your food. I cooked it myself. She then said that she could take back our food and add more coconut milk to it and reheat it up. That's the only thing she could do. Because if I make you a new one I will lose money. She then continued to lecture us on her restaurant and how her spice levels at her restaurant are different than other Thai places. And told my friend that she was eating her food the wrong way! lol not kidding! That if she were to eat it like you guys do. (Meaning Americans) with all that rice in the dish like that. I would choke. She said you have to eat it with a little bit of rice together. I was just shocked! Who says that. And talks to a customer that way about saying you're eating your food the wrong way!! I told her that she had really poor customer service. She didn't listen nor did she even care. She finally brought out some cold coconut milk that my friend had to pour over her meal. So ridiculous!! And one extra white rice. No empathy whatsoever or sorry. To later see that she had been charged $3 for that extra white rice. Oh and then the check came and since we had a table top of 5 our tip was automatically placed on bill. And on top of that if you pay with your credit card they charge you a fee!! A 3.5% fee! We all made sure we had cash and covered each other. We were not about to give in to this situation or any more money or business to her. I was embarrassed in front of my friends and had to continue to apologize for such a terrible dinning experience. And that she was just awful. Thank goodness for awesome and understanding friends. I never write reviews, and especially negative reviews. I'm a positive and happy person. But this I felt was very important and necessary. My advice is to think twice about making this your place to try a new Thai place. Extremely disappointed.

Yelp
Definitely my favorite Thai restaurant in the valley. May, the owner, is an outstanding, super friendly and a great business owner.
google avatar

Sindy E.

Yelp
Very nice customer service, the place was small but cute. The food was delicious and the Thai tea was superb. The price was very good and the location was clean.
google avatar

Danielle R.

Yelp
We came here for a chicken pad Thai craving and some spring rolls. It was a great choice to stop here. The serving size was huge which will leave leftovers for days (which is more than fine by us). The egg rolls are 3 per serving at $7 each which is a bit higher than expected. We tried to ask how many were in a serving as we said we wanted "2 spring rolls". Looking at the pick up receipt we were given two full orders at $14. Yikes. We didn't expect that. However, they were tasty. This is one of the best we've had in the area so the ordering hiccup isn't impacting the star level review.
google avatar

Gene K.

Yelp
Came back with the wife for crispy garlic chicken...what a complete joke!! One year ago it was $15, now it's $18 and they give less...look at the pics...we ordered spring rolls, 3 for $9. No meat at all, just vegetables...that's way overpriced....I got pad Thai to go... it came in a container about half the size of other to go containers from this restaurant...again, look at the pics, and the smaller container is not deeper...it's just smaller...price goes up, quantity goes way down..that's just not right..completely WRONG!!!...I will definitely not return to waste my hard earned money..

Yelp
Used to come here quite often when they first opened but hadn't been back for some time since before the pandemic started. Recently, a friend had told us that the restaurant had changed owners, so we decided to give it a "fresh" try. What we ordered: Vegetarian pad see ew - the smokiness was good. However, the dish was way too sweet from what we are used to and prefer. Pineapple curry shrimp - spot on for flavor and was well balanced between sweet and spicy. However, the rice that came with it was soggy, mushy and clumpy in most sections. Shrimp fried rice - flavoring was good, what you would expect from a classic dish. However, parts of the rice were soggy, mushy and clumpy. Service was friendly. The food portions were appropriate for the price, not overly generous but not too little. Overall, the inside décor and ambience has not changed, still inviting and comfortable. The food, however, has changed quite a bit in quality and taste.

Yelp
I gave Chon another chance and it was pretty good. We all split a few different dishes amongst ourselves such as Chicken Satay, Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Everything was hot and tasted pretty accurate to the description. I'm glad I gave it another chance and I'd consider getting it delivered again.

Yelp
They always treat us so well. We drive 30 minutes just for their Amazing food and customer service. The crispy garlic chicken is 100% my favorite dish ever!

Kipper B.

Yelp
Great, well-labeled gluten free options in quiet restaurant with fast service. I took my realtor here and he loved it!
google avatar

Christine G.

Yelp
My #1 go-to for Thai food. I usually order for pickup and have never had any issues, and the inside is always clean. I get the Pad Se Ew and the Crispy Garlic Chicken and every time it amazes me how good it is! I love the big pieces of tofu that they put in the Pad Se Ew and how flavorful it is. The chicken is always crispy and delicious. I will always recommend this place to anyone looking for a new Thai restaurant to try.
google avatar

J B.

Yelp
Tom Yum soup - good but could use more veggies; Crispy Garlic Chicken - very good; Chon Thai Noodles - good. Stars deducted because the lady with red hair who took our order was rude and unwelcoming. Extra charge if you use a credit card.
google avatar

Scott L.

Yelp
Ordered take out on a Sunday afternoon and it was seamless. From placing the order on the phone to pick up, the service was friendly and efficient. The food itself was flavorful and spicy. Exactly what you want in Thai cuisine. The curries ran exceptionally spicy. The mild curry was as spicy as our hot pad see ew if not hotter. It was still delicious though and can't recommend enough. If you scour the Yelp photos for pictures of the menu, they do a great job of listing gluten free options. The space itself was open, but didn't give vibes for an elevated dine in experience. They charge a 3.5% fee on cards so think about bringing cash. They are at least transparent about it unlike other establishments that do the same. Looking forward to my next Thai takeout from here as it was absolutely delicious!
google avatar

Crystal C.

Yelp
Needed to find a restaurant to accommodate 13 people for dinner at a moment's notice. I called Chon Thai before we arrived to see if they would be able to seat our large group. We arrived and they seated us promptly. Our server took our drink order as soon as we all sat down. She did an excellent job with our drink and food order. Our meal included the mango salad, a few noodle dishes, a few curries, and a few fried rice dishes were delicious. I'd come back here for a meal if I'm ever back in the area.
google avatar

Mehul M.

Yelp
We have been coming here for a few years and their food is still epic! Their no spice level dishes are tasty even with no spice in them and their spice leveled dishes are also delicious. The Thai iced tea is also very good and a good size too. All their food is in good portions and you'll likely have leftovers if you order 1 plate per person. Service is quick too but it's not one of those fancy Thai spots so don't go in expecting that. It's a small family run place with really well made food.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
Place was really cute and the service was also awesome. But the food was pretty mid. The yellow curry was waaaayyy too sweet and the tum yum soup was just sour with no other spices.

Rosa R.

Yelp
Great food, love going there for lunch, it's always great service and the ambiance is relaxed.
google avatar

Bernadette M.

Yelp
This was one of the first Thai restaurants we ate at when we moved to Gilbert 5 years ago. We would def go there more if we weren't lazy to drive the 25 mi from our house. Lols But we try to get takeout here at least once a month. Food has always been good and staff nice. * Looove the garlic crispy chicken. The Pad Thai and basil ground chicken is good too. If they only offered Thai sausage, this place would be perfect for me. Haha But not their fault! Thai sausage is time consuming to make so not many Thai restaurants have it.
google avatar

Lei G.

Yelp
First visit to Chon Thai Food. The have a large menu of choices. Good service and tasty dishes. Lots of vegetables were great too. Definitely give them a try when you're in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Great GF options and the owner is awesome and very helpful. Would recommend this place for anyone wanting to try GF Thai food
google avatar

Helen N.

Yelp
My favorite Thai restaurant in the area. I appreciate the quality of each dish, the portion sizes, and appropriate pricing. My personal favorite dishes include the Khoa Saoi, Green Curry, Tom Kha, and Pad Khee Mao. Parking is really easy and the service is also wonderful.
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
This is my new favorite restaurant. How did I not know about this sooner?! First off, they have an entire vegan menu!! I ordered the Tom Kha soup and drunken noodles. Holy cow. The soup is the best I've ever had. The flavors are out of this world and I quickly realized I should have ordered the large. The drunken noodles were also good but there are so many other good looking things on the menu that I will switch it up next time. The restaurant and bathroom is clean and the service was fast and friendly. I've been dreaming about going back to this place and can't wait for my friends and family to try it. I highly recommend!
google avatar

Maria A.

Yelp
I ordered the beef pad thai and the dumplings. I ordered my pad thai with the hot spice level, and it definitely wasn't, which was disappointing. The meal wasn't really flavorful, and what made my carryout experience unpleasant was finding hair in my pad thai. The dumplings were decent. I expect more from chon thai food after reading the reviews but I was left disappointed.
google avatar

Tara L.

Yelp
The food is pretty good but the prices are way too high! $18 for a chicken noodle dish? Definitely way more than other Thai restaurants that are just as good. We spent nearly $100 for take out for 3 people. Omg!

Brad B.

Yelp
Don't believe any negative reviews. This place is a true gem. Noobs that order food that is too hot and then expect the owner to buy their dinner need to learn from it and not give bad reviews. They serve it a bit spicier than most places, but they tell you up front and it's on a big chart in plain sight. Order mild if you're unsure. The food here isn't good. It's GREAT! We go to all the thai food places in and around Chandler/Gilbert and this is the best flavor all around. Also, they have a large assortment of dishes that they will serve Gluten free if you just ask. Prices are reasonable and the owner is the sweetest nicest most Personable lady you'd ever want to meet. She makes you feel at home. Just be nice and she will be twice as nice. We keep going back and it just keeps getting better.

Yelp
We have been looking for great Thai food in town and we finally found it! Chon Thai was delicious. We were the first arrive when they opened at noon and were greeted quickly. We gave our drink and appetizer order and we had both within a few minutes. The Thai tea was perfect. The dumplings were okay, not my favorite, but still crunchy! We ordered our lunch and I would say within 5 minutes we got our meals out steaming hot! The drunken noodles were not oily and very flavorful. The vegetables were cooked well. The pad see ew had so much protein and amazing flavor. I got medium spice for mine and it was the perfect amount of spice. The staff was so kind and was there whenever we needed something. This is a great spot of Thai! We will be back again!

Yelp
Was craving some Thai food so I ordered 4 items and a drink to go earlier tonight. The tom yum soup and green curry chicken had good flavor! The pad pik king chicken was an item that I have never had before at any restaurant so I gave it a try. It was just okay. Pad see ew is my go to dish at every Thai restaurant. However, this one lacked the same flavor as most. Overall, it's not bad. My main issue here was not with the food. It was with the hostess (the white girl). I walked in shortly before she brought out an order out for someone (who I happened to know). After giving my friend her order, she didn't ask for the name on my order but asked the guy who walked in after me for his. When my friend walked out, a lady was walking in. I told the hostess I was picking up and she asked the lady behind me if she was picking up too. The lady said yes. Then she asked the lady for the name on her order even though I was first. After giving that lady her order, she just walks away and doesn't come back. She needs to be retrained. The other hostess that came over after was nice and helpful! No problems with her.

Yelp
Good service, but food was terrible. Lacked any flavor except a very strong smell of fish, and we had ordered the vegan menu. And we are not novices when it comes to Thai food and have eaten Thai food in multiple businesses across the valley. Never have we struggled so much with the overpowering smell of fish in the food. We have been here before and it was always good, if not the best. But the quality has deteriorated. Today was absolutely terrible and completely ruined a birthday dinner. Definitely not coming back.

Yelp
LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! We aren't in Phoenix a lot but have gone here twice now in the last few months- worth the drive! The food is fresh, flavorful, and oh so good. Also the service is great too- the first time I went we were on a time crunch... the cook cranked out the orders so fast! Will definitely be back again...!
