Looking for authentic Chinese cuisine in Rhode Island? Found a winner! Compare it to top restaurants in NYC. Rivals my favorites in Flushing and Brooklyn Chinatowns. Last night there: 3 cup chicken, chicken dumplings in chili sauce, hot and sour soup vegetarian and dry pot lamb. Easy street parking. Dined in. Owners are very friendly

Chong Qing House is a surpassingly superb restaurant with stellar food, friendly and polite service, a sparklingly clean restaurant, and a highly talented and inventive chef/owner named Danny Lin. He treats his customers like kings and queens and makes you feel right at home. I live 50 miles away in Boston, but I come to Chong Qing House EVERY TIME I’m in Providence. I can’t say enough good things about CQH. Go there. You’ll see what I mean. If I could, I’d give it 10 stars!!!

WOW My wife and I stopped into this place a few months ago. We have been to dozens of Asian restuarants through ri, and this place is one of the best. Located right off the highway, with plenty of street parking, it is easy to get to. The food....is amazing. I would rank thier beef noodle soup as the best we have had in ri. Every other authentic dish is just that-authentic. Amazing great food, great service, and reasonable pricing. We go at least once every few weeks. Try it out!

Chong Qing's atmosphere reminds me of those old school, hole-in-the-wall, what you see in the movies type. The service was impeccable. Everything came out so fast and we ordered many dishes! The food was A+++++. A definite gem here in Providence. I'm only sad that it took me this long to know that this place existed. 11/10 would come back. I wanted to come back thr literal next day, but did a lot of big backing already.

Let's be warned, it is a typical mom and pop atmosphere. No exhuberent decor and pretentious interior design. BUT EXCELLENT AUTHENTIC FOOD. Based on my experience and traditional cooking, their foods never disappointed. The prices are very reasonable in this economy. There are some strong cumin flavored and spicier dishes, are personal preferences. IMHO, they are well executed, for example the cumin spicy pork ribs. It reminded me of a well grilled lamb from the autonomous Xinjiang area but with pork. In all, no restaurant is perfect to suit everyone's palate. For those who enjoys highly authentic food and with bravery appetite, this could be your next new outlet.

Such an authentic restaurant. Everything was tasty. The chicken was “actual” chicken (unlike some other chinese restaurants where chicken is more chewy). The beef was so tender. We had orange chicken and beef onion. The fried rice was the best I ever had. Lo mein noodles were really good. Amazing food. Will definitely come back.

This is unbelievably authentic and delicious Chinese food. One of the best restaurants in Rhode Island. My Shanghainese wife is no longer as homesick for China because of the regular visits we make to this place. It never disappoints. Would give it six stars if I could.

Chongqing Chicken for the win (only if you like extra spicy!). Cumin Hand Pulled Noodles and Wonton Soup are also recommended
