For my local Buffalonians/WNYers, if you haven't gone over the border to St. Catharines, Ontario or the Greater Totonto Area to try this chain - or been able to try it elsewhere - I HIGHLY recommend it when you get the opportunity!
This chain began in Kelowna, British Columbia and has grown to more than 90 locations in both Canada and the United States (Washington state).
Psst...anyone wanna build a franchise with me in WNY?!
This self-proclaimed healthy restaurant promotes, "fresh ingredients with bold, wholesome and delicious flavours."
With salads, bowls, wraps & sandwiches, and soups, as well as ingredients inclusive of nearly every dietary restriction (gluten friendly, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, and nut-free), kids & parents will love the array of options!
While I eat keto-friendly choices, my server appeared to have a readily-available list of suggestions of what may be wise choices for me, but the online & posted menus do not appear to specifically allow for that filter/food preference.
I chose 3 starter-sized salads, because I wanted to try as much as possible. All of the ingredients were VERY fresh. Crisp greens & apples that didn't have an aftertaste of chemical or lemon water, ample amounts of toppings, and just enough dressing to coat - not drench - the salad.
I think my favorite thing about the menu is that everything is made to order, so if you don't want onion or tomato, noodles or dried cranberries, substitutions are totally allowed.
I'm disappointed but only because I'm only going to be near The Chopped Leaf for two more days, and that's not nearly enough time to try all that I want!
And I have to apologize for the missed photo op of my starter-sized Bangkok salad. It was the last one I tried & I was so excited about the (spicy) Evil Peanut dressing and added prawns (shrimp), I just went for it, and greedily enjoyed every single bite!!!
