During our trip to Kenya, one of our fellow travelers suggested we should not miss Chowpatty, and I’m so glad we went. After a day of shopping, we stopped by and tried their unique 3-combo puri platter — 2 pani puri, 2 dahi puri, and 2 sev puri. What a brilliant concept, and honestly, the taste beats all!
We also ordered chilli paneer, and the portion was so generous that it could easily be shared. For mains, we went with saag paneer and lacha paratha. The paratha was just okay and can be skipped, but the saag paneer really stood out — it tasted like authentic saag, not the usual spinach version we often get in the US. That was a pleasant surprise.
The food was so good that after our first visit, we decided to come back again just to try more varieties — and once again, everything we ordered turned out tasty.
Chowpatty is definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone traveling through Kenya who’s craving flavorful Indian food.
