The Most Australian of Australian Restaurants

"Australia has no shortage of classic winery restaurants, from Penfolds Magill Estate near Adelaide to Ten Minutes by Tractor in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. But Chow’s Table in Yallingup does something a little bit different, by bringing together Australia’s infatuation with the varied cuisines of our closest neighbors in Asia, with our love of a good bottle of wine. Here, you’ll feast on Malay yellow curry, typhoon shelter fried squid, and peking roast duck alongside wines from the restaurant’s companion winery, House of Cards, or from the Margaret River region’s best producers." - Alexandra Carlton

Incredible food and a great selection of wines from House of Cards, which is on the same property! We had the banquet set menu which had all the dishes we were going to pick anyway, and they were all delicious! Favourites were the wagyu beef skewers and large pork dumplings.

The best! We ended up taking so much food home because the servings were so generous 😍🤩 We ordered the wagyu skewers, prawn rolls, spicy chicken wings, fried rice, mixed greens and mixed meat platter. Absolutely to die for. We look forward to our regular lunches there 👌🏼

We booked Chow's Table for a milestone birthday celebration. The venue is lovely, with a light and bright vibe. Service was impeccable, and the food was pretty good. Some of the favourites amongst our party of 26 were Squid Toast, Fried Chicken Ribs, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Roast Duck, and Steamed Barramundi with Shrimp Sambal. The vegetarian in our group was served his own special dishes.

A wonderful dining experience thanks to great service and a talented kitchen - even when they were rather busy! Cannot wait to come back 👏🏼

We got the banquet menu, which for the most part was good. We were generally impressed by the wait staff who left good first impressions. But things went downhill with how long we had to wait for food to come out. All up it took about 2 hrs for the full banquet to come out, with most of it coming out towards the end. There was no apology or explanation either, they delivered the food as if it were standard business for them. So be mindful of what may be BAU extra long wait times if you do decide to dine here. We were also in a rush with plans that we had booked right after lunch, so the relaxing lunch we had hoped for, turned out to be more anxiety and rage inducing. I say rage inducing more because of the crazy amount of flies that were hanging around, but I can’t of course mark the venue down for this since they don’t have any special fly repellent powers. But overhead ceiling fans would help with what felt like a fly infestation, or at least those cute table fans to keep them away from the food. Food wise, the highlight was the wagyu skewers, though a tad under-salted. The fried squid was nice and tender. The roti canai was super crispy. The greens had a nice wok hei sort of flavour. The Malaysian yellow curry was very disappointing, very bland and didn’t taste anything like the authentic Malaysian curries I’ve had and cooked before, and I should know being Malaysian myself. I can’t remember the rest which more means they left neither an extremely positive nor negative impression.

Fantastic lunch, we did the set menu for my husbands birthday and it did not disappoint. All courses were delicious with lots of flavour and portion size perfect. It was very busy and the young waitress was run off her feet but she attended to everyone with a smile. Great that you can bring your dog - Will definitely be back when we visit the area next.

Chow's made my holiday. I'd been in the south west for about a week and had been to many wineries and restaurants looking for that amazing food experience. It has just been so disappointing until we went to Chow's. They were incredibly accommodating to my dietary needs and the food we received was just spectacular. The attention to detail and the balance of flavours was impeccable. I could not recommend Chow's enough. This man clearly cares about good food.

Focused flavors, fantastic service, and family-friendly vibes! Loved the smart approach of a condensed menu—it really lets the chefs shine with each dish. Every item felt thoughtfully crafted and full of flavor. The service was warm and attentive throughout, making the experience even more enjoyable. Bonus points for the outdoor playground, which kept the little ones happily entertained while we relaxed. A great spot for families who appreciate quality and comfort!
