At Chris Blue beach, the kitchen has clearly improved — the difference compared to previous visits is noticeable. Something has changed for the better, possibly the chef.
The grilled halloumi with fig jam and arugula is an excellent starter. Perfectly cooked: soft inside, with a proper golden crust and no excess salt. The fig jam is rich and natural, balancing the cheese beautifully, while the arugula adds freshness and structure rather than acting as decoration. Served at the right temperature and in a well-judged portion. €13.50 — fully justified, a must-have.
The grilled octopus with chickpea purée, lightly wilted greens, and sweet onion is well composed. Good texture, clean grill flavor, and a thoughtful combination of elements. Flavor-wise it’s a solid 4/5 — not spectacular, but honest and well executed. €15 — a fair price.
A calm off-season lunch highlighted the overall experience. The kitchen is currently at a strong level and worth visiting.
