We went on Labor Day and the restaurant was quite busy, we checked in on their computer system at the entrance. We waited 20 minutes to get in. We ordered Curry Beef Brisket with rice, and the house special (Satay Beef noodle with fried eggs and sausages). It took a while to flag down a waiter to give them our order. The food came quickly but the quality of the food was underwhelming. I was disappointed, given that there was such a long lineup to this restaurant and I had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. The Curry Beef Brisket lacks curry taste, it was too sweet. The instant noodles with Satay Beef was not even fully cooked, it was hard and I had to leave it soaked with the soup in the bowel for another 4 minutes to have the right texture. The Satay Beef also lack Satay taste, and the sausages were not hot inside (just the surface were hot). On the positive side. The price is very reasonable and the Hong Kong style milk tea is good. Since the restaurant is next to a mall, there are lots of parking.

Came with the family and enjoyed the experience. Feels like one of the closest HK styles experiences in Toronto from HK. The decor is neat and the space is cozy. The food is pretty good, but not stellar. The chicken curry was likely the best choice for us, the pork chop rice was OK. Actually, the piggy buns with condensed milk and butter were the best. Instant noodles were standard, and their Swiss soy sauce chicken wings were pretty good. Would come back with the family if we are in the area.

My boyfriend and I came from NYC and we’re both very enthusiastic about HK style food. We went to Chrisly once and we came back during our second trip. We highly recommend the Satay Beef Pineapple Bun, it comes with a sweet and savory flavor plus a crunchy texture. We also tried the baked tomato sauce with cheese with pork chop but personally it’s not as cheesy as we expected but we also recommend it if you’re looking for something not too filling. For our second visit we tried spaghetti with BBQ pork and it was alright. BUT the pork chop bun was FIRE, it’s not too dry, and the bun was really crispy. The pork chop was delicious and juicy. It also comes with salad dressing and it’s a good touch up. As for drinks, we also recommend red bull pineapple with ice. It’s not too sweet, but there’s less flavor of the Red Bull and more so of the pineapple juice. One thing that I wish the team would do is not having customers waiting next to our table (we were seated the first table next to the door and there were people waiting and leaning on our table during our entire meal). We hope that there’s a better solution for the long wait time and doesn’t affect customers who are eating. Overall our experience with Chrisly was great and highly recommend it! Staff were very helpful and patient. The wait time is around 45 minutes at noon during the weekend.

I had an all-day available regular set as my lunch. Their scrambled eggs are nice in the way that it is wet and soft. The juice is preserved successfully and skillfully. The eggs are not dehydrated in the process of cooking. The butter toast is crispy. It does not become stale. The spaghetti is nice in the way that it is al dente and that the process of cooling is handled very well. The Hong Kong style milk tea is good. It strikes a good balance between tea and milk. If I need to be picky, the milk tea is less silky. It is probably because the tea is brewed a bit long. The place is clean. The attendants are friendly and diligent. Just a side note: Be thoughtful and don't stay too long after finishing your meal during rush hours. It is because seats are limited with this branch.

Huge chunks of burnt curry in my food. Received verbal threats when asking for explanation and a different plate. Did not feel safe in the resteruant. Terrible attitude all around. Avoid

Google
Great place to go for a traditional HK breakfast. Not normally the type of things you'd see in a chinese restaurant but these are normal breakfast fare in HK. The satay noodles and egg sandwich are delicious. If you go, be sure to get a milk tea, it also is delicious.

He trio of us were there about a month and half ago. Food was not bad. The curry fish ball to my point was great in my perspective. Everything had the HK taste. Not at the greatest but you will appreciate enough for calling it best.

Google
I ordered the baked pork chop with tomato sauce and cheese. The taste is quite good. There’s a big chunk of tomato in it. Not sure if it’s the case for all orders. They also put pineapple cubes which enhances the sweetness of the dish. The pork chop is well seasoned and marinated. You can still taste the meat even with the cheese and the sauce. The only problem is the size of the pork chop. It’s small. It covers about half of the rice. They even gave me an extra slice of pork chop (pic taken after I cut it) as if they knew there was not enough meat and it’d look bad. That said, it’s a decent dish considering the taste. For the HK style milk tea, their take out size probably is the smallest I’ve seen so far. It’s tastes good though. A good balance of tea flavour and the evaporated milk. Recommend!

Yelp
An authentic Hong Kong cafe experience that is worth experiencing. My wife ordered the BBQ Pork Scrambled Egg on Rice and the portions were quite generous. While the BBQ Pork was cooked well and the egg had good flavour, the overall dish was heavy on the soy sauce side and salty. Be aware that there is a lot of rice. I ordered the Baked Curry Sauce w/Cheese (Chicken steak) and it was delicious. It comes with some potatoes baked along side, which was a nice touch with the curry sauce. I also ordered a hot HK style milk tea and it went well with the meal. The service was quick and staff would address our table, despite the busy business hours. It should be noted that interior design really tried to mimic the HK style environment with the wall decorations and crowded seatings. This should be a quick bite and go environment. Overall, I would give this location a 4.5/5. If I were to go again, I would try the Beef Satay, since I noticed a lot of customers ordered it.

Yelp
A classic HK cafe, no-frills seating and all the dishes you'd expect. It was quite busy in the morning, with lots of families getting their breakfast combos. We were lucky and didn't need to wait, but we were seated basically knee-to-knee with another family in order to make it work. The prices are fair, a bit higher than the old days but priced as you would expect a HK cafe to be. Their menu was surprisingly condensed - I'm not sure if they gave us a breakfast/lunch only menu. It did have items like baked rice, so I assumed that was the entire menu. I honestly didn't mind, as I often get overwhelmed with menu choices. I ordered a noodle combo and my boyfriend ordered a curry baked rice. Everything was $31 all in. I would say the curry baked rice was a hit - the taste was good and the portion was fair. It was a lot of rice, but there was enough sauce where you could eat it all if you wanted to. My noodle soup was a bit overwhelming, but typical of such a restaurant. I wasn't a biggest fan of the ramen noodles, I wish they had some other options. They may have them but I wasn't aware of them - vermicelli would have been a lot better. Overall there are some HK cafes I like better in the area, but it's an affordable and traditional option.

Yelp
Location/Service This place is located in Denison Centre - the plaza intersection of Kennedy and Denison. It's nearby Dollarama - so you can't really miss it. Plenty of parking around. Inside is very retro and modern at the same time - with a lot of the HK Cafe vibes setup and nostalgic signs and lingo. Staff were very nice and food service was very fast. Food Like other trendy HK cafes, they offer a wide variety of signature dishes like baked rice, scrambled egg, french toast and milk tea related drinks. I tried the scrambled egg with cha siu, baked pork chop rice and HK french toast. All of them were pretty standard and good. I like how smooth the scrambled eggs were - and they didn't cheap out in quantity. Same thing with the pork chop fried rice, although the dish looks a little smaller than you think. I like how saucy it is and the pork chop is boneless so very easy to eat. The french toast was pretty standard, not too big of a surprise here. As for drinks, I did the milk tea - which is smooth and consistent to other places. Lemon tea was also good too. Overall, I think this is a nice place around the neighbourhood. Their original location is from HK - so I like how they brought their elements over. It does get pretty much during peak hours and they don't have a lot of seating - so consider doing take out!

Yelp

Yelp
Came for typical HK style breakfast. Good prices for set menu. Ordered the satay beef noodles which came with sausage, eggs done to the way you like and toast with milk tea. Good value. Service was efficient and food came out fast. The flavours of the satay beef was ok.

Yelp
You must go to try their Hong Kong style breakfast!! The beef satay noodle is one of my favourite meals for breakfast and they make it so good!!! And you must try their milk tea! So AMAZING The service is good as well and they will serve you the food quick! The restaurant decorated like Hong Kong local restaurant, and many seats are available!

Yelp
I found this spot on TokTok because we wanted to try a new HK diner cafe. This resto is located at Kennedy & Denison. It was very busy. There was a wait list but we got a table maybe in less than 30 minutes. We ordered the classic breakfast with instant noodle and beef. My oldest ordered chicken steak with black pepper sauce and spaghetti. My youngest got fries and chicken wings (4). We ordered the cold lemon tea and cold HK style milk tea. Both were really good The customer service was excellent. The servers were attentive and efficient. The food tasted good and fresh. Will definitely go back to try other dishes.

Yelp
Hubby and I have dined at Chrisly Café on a few occasions. This Hong Kong style café is part of a chain of Cha chaan teng cafes. They offer a number of typical Cantonese style favorites, including instant noodles, macaroni dishes, heartier rice and noodle based dishes, sandwiches, pineapple buns. With each meal you can choose from a variety of drink options, such as Ovaltine, Lemon Tea, coffee, and Hong Kong style milk tea. We have tried their chicken curry (which was very flavourful), egg & beef and egg & barbecue pork on rice. Their scrambled eggs are so smooth and delicious over rice. I had the baked chicken steak with tomato sauce and cheese on rice on this latest visit and despite their being chunks of pineapple in this dish, I liked that their food was served piping hot, and portions were generous. This place is usually bustling, so expect a bit of a wait. They do have a tablet at the entrance to join the waitlist, and they will call you when your table is almost ready. But the quick service and generally good quality of food is what has me returning to this place.

Yelp
A new Hong Kong cafe that is super busy and packed! Came here to check out the new Hong Kong cafe and first thing I noticed before walking in was the abundance of people waiting around. They have an ipad once you go through the first set of doors that you insert your own information number of people in your party. It's tight in there to even get to the ipad since people are waiting inside that little narrow hallway. I decided to step back outside to wait for my call. I had a party of 2, and I got the call instantly once I walked outside the doors. Not a problem, simply just walked right back in and got my spot. The service here is quick and the servers are super nice. It's all the classic foods you'd expect at a Hong Kong cafe. Things I got: Fried chicken with spring onion on rice 4/5 - Tasty rice dish with the chicken cooked perfectly. It paired nicely and the portions were great for one person. Baked pork chop tomato rice 4/5 - Another classic that is a must get. It was good and again was a great portion size. Pineapple bun with butter 5/5 - I really enjoyed this. The bun was nice and warm and melted some of the butter inside while still having the thick slice of butter nice and cold on the outside. Lemon tea and milk tea were both also great! The food at the tables beside us also looked really good and I can't wait to come back to try some more food items.

Yelp
Apparently this is a really famous chain hk cafe restaurant from Hong Kong and it is their first overseas restaurant. I came here with my family yesterday, their food is great, but lots of people, so make sure you arrive early to avoid the crowd. Actually I came here a few times since it opened last year, we found their scramble egg and milk tea are very traditional, highly recommend.

Yelp
Busy place at 11 AM on a rainy Saturday. Not a big place to dine at. Food-wise, nothing reallly caught my attention on their menu. A typical HK-style cafe. Ho-hum. But I did have a rice dish which was okay I guess. Service-wise, they're excellent. Prompt attention. And food comes out just like that.

Yelp
I love HK cafes, so I had to try this place out. Sadly, everything I had was only OK. I visited here on a Sunday afternoon around noon, and it was very busy. The wait time was about 30 minutes, but they had a kiosk to wait in line and leave your phone number. I ordered some of my favorites for the sake of comparison. The spaghetti bolognese somehow came out a bit dry despite being a meat sauce dish. The pineapple bun in my sandwich was not particularly tasty. The milk tea was decent. Overall, if you are in the direct area and have a craving, Chrisly Cafe is sufficient. But if you want top notch HK cafe food, I would go elsewhere.

Yelp
My new fave HK cafe! Interior decor is nice! Service was soo quick, I got my food minute within ordering. And the food is probably my fave of all the Hk cafes I've been to-- the satay beef noodle has the best satay beef I've had, the baked pork chop curry rice was BIG and so tender and I also loved that it was boneless. My favourite part of HK cafes is always the drinks, and the HK milk tea was just a tad on the sweet side, but otherwise perfect; easy to drink and not too bitter or acidic compared to others I've had! Not to mention, the value is always top tier (~$12-15)

Yelp
I'm absolutely stunned by their helpful staff and great service! Lineup/queue up using the tablet at the front before planning your visit because they're almost always busy! This is a HK cafe situated in this "nostalgic" asian plaza on Kennedy/Denison where Fortino's used to be! (Now you know which age group I'm in, but let's focus on the food more #LOL). If you're wondering what's still in this plaza, you should definitely check it out because there are quite a few hidden gems (restaurants) here and I hate myself for not RE-exploring this place soon enough! Our Food: Club Sandwich - Fully Stacked! The scrambled egg was cooked nicely and I love how they used a ranch dill sauce instead of mayonnaise and I loved it! They also added corned beef to stack with the egg ,ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato which was quite tasty! Having the bottom layer on its own was already so filling, but in a good way! (I had to pack half the sandwich home because I eat super slow and wanted to enjoy this without creating a huge mess at the table :p). The tomato pork chop rice as you can see, had real tomatoes in their sauce so it's not as thick as the bright red artificial ones out there, less salty for sure! The pork chop was quite tender & nicely seasoned, and the shredded cheese was just right to not taste super cheesy if you know what I mean! We also ordered the Butter Condensed Milk toasted on a Bun (no photo) and as simple as it gets, it was so delicious! Personally, I have to say that there aren't many HK cafes in Toronto that have good quality food + whole-hearted staff combined anymore, but this place makes good food and you actually feel welcomed here! HK cafes have popped up in different areas the last few years again and I have to say, this place is by far the BEST for food & service combined! I won't name the other Hk cafes in Toronto, but many do not have BOTH good quality food & good service...most were just either with good food & lazy service OR the other way around. Definitely give Chrisly Cafe a try but keep in mind that the tables are quite small so it's not really stroller-friendly or for huge groups!

Yelp
Everything was on par for a hk cafe. The service was friendly, food was quickly made, and the taste was good. Though it's quite popular in the weekend, it's really just your average hk breakfast experience. Nothing was bad but nothing really stood out. Price was fine for the specials. Overall a good experience for a quick weekend eat.

Yelp
Another addition to Denison Center slowly making it a node of HK cuisine. Chrisly Café is a HK café hailing from Hong Kong opening its first store in Canada. And it has all the characteristics of a HK café: cheap, fast and great. It is a small establishment with lots of wait staff so service a top notch, considering a HK café. The décor is similar to the modern HK cafes around Markham now: minimal with neon signs. Egg luncheon meat sandwich - Egg was creamy and fluffy. Not over cooked, but not as runny as I'd like. Luncheon meat was cooked but not seared. The bread was soft and lightly toasted. The bread itself was massive, maybe like 15 cm x 15 cm. HK style toast with peanut butter - The exterior was not crispy, but inside was fluffy. The butter was plentiful and delicious and the syrup on the side was good so you can control your own sweetness. Would ask to get the toast extra crispy next time. Milk tea - The cream had a slight savoury aftertaste and had overpowered the tea flavour. I feel like they went heavy on the cream because it was advertised as some Danish cream. But would try the coffee next time. It does get busy so I would recommend coming back at off peak hours. Ultimately, food was decent, price was good and quantity was loads. Would come back.

Yelp
Went for afternoon tea on a Sunday. We got lucky and only had to wait for like 5 minutes. Otherwise, the wait would maybe be 10-20 minutes. Got my standard fare: HK style french toast with peanut butter, and hk milk tea. The french toast was huge, and had a proper butter slice on top (I spread all over, and along the edges too). It was so buttery and delicious, but not crispy, and peanut butter was unevenly spread, so certain parts had not enough pb. The syrup is nice. The HK milk tea was pretty standard. Not as creamy as it could be, and potentially oversteeped (giving that grainy feeling to my teeth). Sat at the table by the door. A two seater booth (well thought out). Cozy and surprisingly not cold.

Yelp
Chrisly Café is one of the most authentic Hong Kong style cafes I have tried in the GTA recently and I wanted to share my experiences with the rest of you. Baked Tomato Sauce with Cheese (Pork Chop): The pork chop is tender and juicy, the tomato sauce sweetness and sourness level are just right, and a lot of cheeses on top which I love. The portion may look tiny but it is very filling. Swiss Chicken Wings: The Swiss soy sauce does not taste the same as the Hong Kong restaurant that invented the Swiss soy sauce but that is the typical case for all Hong Kong style cafes. Their own formula of Swiss soy sauce is not too sweet and salty. Unlike other places, the chef slow-cooked their chicken wings in the Swiss soy sauce and fused the flavor inside the chicken wings. Pineapple Bun with Butter: A typical Pineapple Bun with Butter which they did most of the things right. The Pineapple Bun itself is warm and the Butter is thick/cold enough. The only downside is the pretend Pineapple topic is not crunchy on top of the bun. H.K. Curry Fish Balls: The curry flavor is strong but not too spicy. Their fish balls texture is above average by Toronto café standards. Overall, I experienced above-average customer service from their staff trainee when compared to other Hong Kong style café in the GTA but some of my relatives disagree. Therefore, I recommend visiting this place during non-rush hours, as that is what I did.

Yelp
This was soo good. I am surprised with their service and food quality the food taste straight from hong kong even though this is from Canada. The service is also really good servers were very nice and they act very professional.

Yelp
Located at the Denison Centre located at the Southwest corner of Kennedy and Denison. There is plenty of parking even during the crazy weekends. The shop is newly renovated with booths and many 2 tops pushed together to form 3 rows of 12 seats. The seating can get quite packed if all seats were occupied with 2 tops having very little room to move about. So far the restaurant is quite clean and you can say quite sterile as it seams a little bare. The staff are definitely still learning the ropes or at least the crew I had were definitely learning the routine as I was sitting to order for 10+ minutes as some took lunch, some were chit chatting and I think one was just sitting there resting. I went to order a baked rice with drink and I had to repeat myself 4 times so the order could be entered into the tablet... it was not that loud inside. I was later informed there were no more baked rice options... fair game... I opted for the fried chicken leg and 5 minutes later someone came out to inform me... it will take 15 minutes to cook. I looked at them puzzled and said, yes, I know, please proceed. Then she repeated herself to indicate it will take some time. I acknowledged and said I was in no rush and will wait as if she wanted me to change my order again. Then reluctantly she went back to confirm my order with the kitchen... which burned up another 7 minutes. As I was waiting for my replacement meal, the table behind me that came in after my order had 2 piping hot baked rice dishes delivered to them!!!! I thought I was suffering from hunger and hallucinating but my nose confirmed it. Ok... did I not brush my teeth or had excessive B.O. that they did not want to serve me? I had time to look around and see one wall had all the menu items up in graffiti fashion, where the back wall leading to kitchen and washrooms had a semi open drinks kitchen to see your drinks and food be passed from the kitchen. The my meal finally came and it definitely was hot and was provided a little cup of ketchup for the fried chicken leg and fries (McDonalds shoestring) Food was ok but with all the rough edges that need to be smoothed out, will definitely give them some time to iron out the kinks before thinking of returning. One more thing. There was one server that was wearing the nitrile gloves cleaning the tables but this person was also taking orders (no harm there) but was serving the food and collecting money... I think the Covid times have come and passed... a good wash with warm water and soap will do us all a big favour than to keep using the one time use gloves

Yelp
Decided to give this HK cafe a try! Atmosphere was great. Went around 1:30pm on a weekday and it was pretty busy. Tried their baked rice and it was very flavorful but found the portion a bit small for the price. Their milk tea was great, we liked it.

Yelp
4.5/5 Very HK! Very tasty! Love this cafe! This is truly HK! Much better than other HK cafes in Toronto.

Yelp
New HK cafe in town! I went during 5:30pm during tea time hours. Their tea time menu is very small compared to other cafes, but they have lots other items to order on their main menu. Plenty of seats and I find it to be a very cozy cafe. Free parking in the plaza as well. My order: - Fried Chicken Thigh w/ fries ($9.95): The thigh was smaller than most places, but it was decent. - Bolognese w/ Sunny Side Egg on Rice ($13.95): It's exactly what it sounds like. Meat sauce + egg on rice. The bolognese meat sauce was good. - Curry Fish Balls ($4.99): The curry here is really good. Good amount of spice and it comes with 10 pieces. Good appetizer. Overall, service was good and food and drinks came out fast. It's a good HK cafe. Good atmosphere.

Yelp
I tried their satay beef instant noodles & sandwich with hot drink combo & it was quite filling. Nothing beats a simple Hong Kong cafe meal with a simple broth & flavourful satay beef. The customer service was both efficient & friendly. The wall decor is plastered with pictures of Hong Kong which created a welcoming atmosphere.

Yelp
Decent hk style cafe in Markham. The place is busy at lunch time and afternoons because they have pretty good prices for their dishes. Value is good but menu choices smaller than other hk cafes in Markham. Food tasted decent and was filling but I didn't find any dishes that I wanted to eat again.

Yelp
Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Vibe 5/5 Check out my TikTok for more video content #SpiritedLaway Another Hong Kong Style Cafe opened in Markham! I actually really enjoyed their cart noodles AKA 车仔面. You get to choose your own soup base, toppings and sauce, I just wish there was more noodles coz i was soooo HUNGRY And their scramble eggs are exactly like the ones you eat in Hong Kong, Creamy, soft and warm! IYKYK Overall great experience and great food 5/5

Yelp
I love hk cafes and was excited to try Chrisly Cafe. We came at an odd time during the day and lucked out on getting a seat pretty quickly. However, as the restaurant is quite small, there was a waiting list forming shortly after we sat down. I tried the all day beef satay instant noodle combo while my husband opted to try the curry combo, swiss chicken wings and kaya toast. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the scrambled eggs in my meal, it was perfectly cooked (not too runny as some other scrambled eggs are) and the milk tea was really good!!!

Yelp
I enjoyed the combo of noodles and egg and toast. The truffle egg is very delicious and I would say is the equivalent of 8 eggs in this one hour so lots of protein. Service was good and efficient and orders came fast.

Yelp
Quite underwhelmed by Chrisly which is unfortunate given the lovely venue and nostalgic vibes of HK cafes. Pricing wise I would say its on the steeper end for HK cafes these days. In light of portion size, smaller than competitors nearby as well for the price. Satay Noodle 3/5 - overall good satay flavours, not too salty or oily which is nice but not enough satay sauce to coat the noodle base. I generally get it with macaroni which you can do so here as well. Overall good, but nothing special for the price. Scrambled Eggs 3.5/5 - quite silky smooth but the texture resembles the loose slow cooked scrambled eggs, which is nice and creamy. Wouldnt mind eating this but also a bit steep in price so not sure if I can justify. Bread itself was nice and soft, fluffy. Dont think they make it themselves but does taste fresh. Omelette was quite expensive but with corned beef filling it added a nice saltiness to it. Overall the meal was average. Pricing was steep. Seating is not the greatest as the restaurant is quite small. Quite vibrant in color though. Would like to try their evening/lunch meals, but as for breakfast unsure if I will return specifically for their food.

Yelp
Disclaimer: visited during their soft opening so things may change. Came for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. They have a staff member writing down your name and phone number for the wait list and calling people on the list and it was a bit messy since you could see lots of empty tables as they're trying to reach customers. An online waitlist system would be beneficial here. The interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated with Hk-themed neon signs, but there's still a lot of finishing touches that have yet to be added (there isn't even an actual business sign yet). The prices are on the higher end (especially relative to the previous HK cafe that used to be there) and portions are small for the price. Quality is so-so. The baked pork chop rice sauce was a bit sour and there was very little rice. The deep fried chicken leg was a bit dry. Service was on the bad side. The 10% discount during their soft opening was nice, but all in all it felt like they aren't really ready to open yet. If you'd like to try this place, I'd recommend coming after they've had their grand opening and hopefully these issues get sorted out.

Yelp
Very well lit restaurant and nicely decorated. The service was swift and professional. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The washrooms were clean. Definitely will come back to try more foods on their menu!

Yelp
We've been here a few times already and usually get their all-day breakfast sets, Nissin instant noodles, and french toasts. We also got their BBQ pork and egg on rice once too. For drinks, we usually get their HK-style milk tea, almond milk, and lemon tea. Their french toast is probably the best I've ever had - crispy, and comes with a large pad of butter on top. Their BBQ pork is always dry and stale so I would never get anything with that again. To be honest, everything else is pretty standard and average, but good enough for me to keep coming back! Solid 4/5.

Yelp
Had highly hopes for this restaurant, especially because it's new. Unfortunately, other than the Hong Kong milk tea, everything else about the experience did not hit the mark. Food: We ordered from the Build your own noodle combo. If you don't speak Chinese, the menu is confusing because there are prices listed if you want 2 or 3 toppings, but when you read the instructions of the different "Steps", they ask you to choose 3 or 4 toppings (which makes you pay extra). They were out of the original "oil noodles" and their "thick noodle" option was a different type of noodle. The baked casserole dish of baked tomato and beef over spaghetti was quite watery, the pasta was very soft and the sauce seemed runny. They should also advertise that there's pineapple pieces in their tomato sauce in case of allergies. Service: there were many staff, but not many that wanted to help when we wanted extra utensils. Overall, there's too many other Hong Kong cafes that offer better quality food and service in Toronto and specifically in the area. I would not return to try again.

Yelp
came here mostly for breakfast foods for 5 ppl so i was able to try most of their brunch items. the macaroni soup was standard, no extras but somehow the ham and beef were both very rubbery and overcooked ? same beef rubberiness in the instant noodle soups had a slurp of the satay instant noodles and they don't hold back on using the whole msg pack, even comes with the original sesame oil pack lol. overall, their saving grace is rlly the milk tea and the speed of service. if u eat quick enough you can probably be out of there in 30 mins! if there's no line, not a bad choice but definitely not something i'd wait in their line for. maybe i'd come back for their baked riced since it looks packed and saucy!

Yelp
Cold milk tea was refreshing. Tried the bake pork chop with curry and cheese. The curry sauce was tasty and pork chop good. Portion is decent size too.

Yelp
Food taste ok, price is affordable. staff are nice. the decor of the shop is modern. Milk tea can be stronger and smell smell. The satay noodle is a more sweet style

Yelp
Overall food and service was acceptable Ordered a curry fish ball. Taste similar to HK curry but fish balls were disgusting. Not the restaurant as never tasted any good fish balls in Canada. Cart noodle portion was quite big. Chive, pork intestine, chicken wing tip and curry tripe. All acceptable but not stunning. Spicy sauce on side made the entire dish great. It's very spicy which is something I like. Will try some other dishes next time. Not a bad choice for food.

Yelp
New HK style cafe in Markham! Nostalgic neon lights signage and Cha chaan tang lingos are seen everywhere on the walls and bathroom doors. Self-serve system for customers to join their waiting list. It was packed during Saturday lunch hours and few groups are seen waiting outside. The restaurant is small and would be best for small groups of 2-4 people per table. My group ordered their scrambled egg and bbq pork rice and the rice was a bit too hard for our liking. The curry combo sets was good. It came with fish balls, radish and pig skin. I wish the curry has a more of a spicy kick to it. Special meal set was nice as It came with my go-to satay beef instant noodles, fries or scrambled eggs, toasts and sausages with a drink. But not sure if it was worth $14.69 for the most basic CCT item. Service was quick and attentive. They gave us a kiddie bowl and utensils for my little one without us requesting. I'd go back to try more items such as their toasts!

Yelp
Newly renovated place. Looks like it took over Maydoh that used to be here. Not sure if it's just a rebranding/relaunch. Keep in mind this review is during their soft launch, so the food standard and other items may change when they fully launch. Service was fairly prompt. The food was a bit too salty. The baked curry chicken tasted like they poured a full packet or two of yellow curry powder when making the dish. It made the flavour overpowering. The noodles were ok. Not awesome. The curry fishballs were a bit underperforming, to quote another table that was eating at the time "the curry fish balls taste like ping pong balls and small". The chicken chop rice was kinda like eating sweet soya sauce with chicken. Initially it was served with just a spoon. They forgot the knife. Another con is they take only cash like other cha chaan teng. Overall, the food quality is ok. Not great and not bad. It's kinda of like in the middle. For the same pricing you could probably get better food at Woodstone Eatery. Might give it a shot when they do their grand opening. Maybe things will change.

Yelp
Pretty average hk cafe. Service was great, food was average, iced lemon tea was disappointing. not worth lining up for imo.

Yelp
Popped by this place to try the new HK cafe as my wife was curious to give this place a go. We got lucky and gone there during downtime. Here was what we ordered: Instant Noodle Beef Satay (comes with scrambled egg, toast, 2x hot dogs) with hot milk tea- $12.95 - This was a decent dish and price for what they give. Milk tea was decent too. R24- French Toast w/Butter Kaya- $6.95 - Comes in a decent square size toast. Its a nice new addition to try in HK cafe. A02- Noodles Soup with 3x Toppings- $13.95 + add $1K cold milk tea - Picked the Thick Yellow Noodle, Crispy Fish Skin, Pork Meat Ball, Curry Fish Ball in curry sauce and the free topping of cilantro, garlic and such. - This made hthe broth more flavourful than the standard noodle soup you'd get in most HK cafe shop. I like how they give you the crispy fish skin on a separate bowl. - I think the utensils they supply you is interesting based on what you get. It seems we were always missing something that was needed. Example, our french toast, we needed a knife and fork, but didn't have any... Overall, the options are there, and the service is friendly. Washroom only has 2x for their spacing. Plus its close by to the mall there that has Baker's Duck and fresh tofu dessert and chinese grocery store as well.

Yelp
We were very happy a local GTA restaurant owner who originated from Hong Kong 30 years ago recommend us New Yorkers to try Chrisly Cafe for a authentic HK Cha Chaan Tang. We were in HK heaven as we tasted HK dishes prepared authentically which we cannot find in America. This ABC and his HK born girlfriend already misses this restaurant and it's only been a few days! A must try if you are interested in authentic HK eats! We will be back!

Yelp
I went to Chrisley Cafe a few times and the dishes I ordered in the past, I liked and I also liked enjoyed their milk tea but what a disappointment on my last recent visit (evening). Drinks came out super fast and the hk milk tea didn't have much flavour. The coffee/milk tea tasted like some kind of powdered mix drink. I asked for less ice and less sweet. The waitress repeated my order and it came out still way too sweet. Curry Pork Rice, which was a recommended item on their menu, the curry taste was weak. They also have this new item on the menu: black pepper cheese with choice of meat. Got chicken and the black pepper sauce looked more like a teriyaki sauce without much of a black pepper flavour and cheese was nowhere to be found! It definitely had more rice than meat. I won't be back any time soon but if I have to really go back I think I will stick with either their baked pork chop rice, the bbq pork scrambled eggs or the Saddam pork dish. But I wonder how much consistent they can be ....

Yelp
3.5 stars: 3.0 stars for the food, it was decent, nothing special although the milk tea was quite good. However, I would give 4.0 stars for the price. I had the satay beef noodle set that came with scrambled eggs, sausages, toast and milk tea - all for $12. Also didn't have to pay extra for the doll noodles. Lastly, service was quick, as you would expect from a cha chan teng.

Yelp
We went around Sunday at noon and ended up standing there for awhile before a staff member finally told us to sign in on the tablet by the door. It would've been nice if they told us before or at least have a big sign at the front of the entrance telling guests to sign in for a table. By the time we turned around to sign in, someone else behind us already started entering their info. The restaurant is small and the tables and seating are quite tight. The food is the standard HK Cafe food. Nothing really stood out, food wise. The Iced HK Milk Tea was decent. Checkout my IG foodie account @wanderandeatwithme for more foodie adventures.

Yelp
Overall I personally dislike the food, though the customer service was good. The food was the main problem with me, I think they could have put a bit more effort when making food. When I ordered a french toast, first it didn't look like the picture, second the effort they put in was like a kid effort. It was just toast with peanut butter and butter on top of it. There wasn't the golden colour on most french toast would have. Yet it costed $6.95 with a drink included, I didn't find the any problem with the customer service as they were patient as we ordered because it was our first time there. For feedback on this restaurant, please put some effort into the making food.

Yelp
Sat here for 15-20 mins, we got some menus and were ready to order. At the time there were four servers, all four of them saw us and didn't come even though we were calling for them. Worst restaurant I've ever been to.
