Absolutely outstanding experience. I ordered the snails and a traditional dish of lamb lungs heart and liver sautéed in a light rosemary sauce. Everything was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. Get there early because this place fills up fast. I was lucky to get an outdoor table with a beautiful view which made the meal even better. The hospitality was warm and genuine, portions were large, and prices were very reasonable. Excellent food and a memorable dining experience

I had Σουπιές με μάραθο και ελιές for the first time and I loved it. Κολοκυθοκεφτέδες were also delicious, nicer than how I remembered this dish elsewhere! I recommend that one should dine here before 1700 on weekends as when we went there around 1915 on a Sunday, nearly half of the daily options were already sold out.

I have been to Chrisostomos many times. Let it be noted however that we never went during busy times. The starter bread is served warm and fresh. This time around we ordered the cretan salad, mutton (προβατινα σε λαδοκολα) and beef with eggplant. The combination of ingredients in the salad is quite appetizing and the addition of pickled kritamo complements the flavor so well! The beef was cooked to absolute perfection and melted in the mouth, this dish never disappoints. The mutton was cooked wrapped in parchment paper with white cheese, garlic and herbs. Overall a splendid meal in a tavern decorated to remind us of "old Crete".

Very good and fast service, delicious food, very generous plates and reasonable prices. We had the lamb, beef with eggplants, fennel pie and meat pie, all delicous and perfectly cooked. They also brought us "loukoumades", some christmas sweets and a local drink as a treat in the end. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Chania

We really enjoyed our lunch here. It was delicious! The service was great too. After the meal, we were served complimentary loukoumades for dessert, so good! We enjoyed it so much, we decided to come back for dinner.

We chose this restaurant on the recommendation of our local taxi driver, and it did not disappoint—the food was delicious. I originally wanted the boureki, but it was unfortunately sold out, so I ordered the Greek pasta with chicken instead, and it was amazing. I’m taking one star off because they brought bread to the table without us asking and then charged for it, which felt a bit cheeky. However, they did give us a free dessert and a small bottle of raki, which I’d say made up for it.

We were advised by our hotel for a good restaurant for locals with reasonable prices. Food was perfect. Service was even better. Atmosphere within the restaurant is good but you are facing the auto park. I don’t think that prices are low. Moderately high indeed but I don’t mean it doesn’t worth it. We were perfectly happy.

Really great meal. I had the lamb, Greek salad and tzatziki sauce. It’s way too much for one person but it still is incredibly tasty. The highlight was the rice. Incredibly flavorful The free drink and dessert are wonderful touch.
