Chris's Beacon Point Restaurant & Villas Accommodation

We dined at the restaurant and the waiters were so nice. They told us how to get to our place and return to the restaurant since it was so dark outside. The dishes were incredible and the atmosphere was perfect. We had a great time. We are looking forward to visiting the Beacon Point restaurant again!

Wow! This place is next level amazing. The views from our room were breathtaking. We stayed in the king studio. We ate at the restaurant, where the food and the service were 5*. The staff were so friendly and attentive, it really added to the whole night. Breakfast the next morning (included in our stay price), was filling and delicious. 10/10 recommend. You will not be disappointed.

We had an excellent stay. Absolutely stunning place, views were amazing and totally breathtaking. A great place to enjoy all nature has to offer. Awesome and friendly service. The restaurant was brilliant, food was divine and so convenient being on site

Chris’s Beacon Point Restaurant & Villas is a fantastic stop along the Great Ocean Road, offering breathtaking ocean views from both the rooms and the restaurant. The serene setting enhances the dining experience, making it a perfect getaway. While some in-room facilities could use an upgrade, the overall comfort and charm make up for it. A special mention to the gentleman who assisted us at check-in and provided warm service throughout dinner and breakfast—his friendly and attentive approach truly elevated our stay. Highly recommended!

We had dinner in this restaurant and everything was perfect! My partner is vegan and I'm vegetarian and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us which we greatly appreciated. The food was delicious and the view beautiful!

We went to have dinner. Good starters, nice octopus. Mains very regular. The duck was well cooked but very boring. Prawns ok, nothing great. It's a good price though, but don't get too much expectations about it.

Great location for a couple of nights on the Great Ocean Road, close to may top sights. We had the deluxe king villa #9 and it was amazing! The views are fantastic, the villa is nicely appointed with a sitting area, small kitchen, deck with chairs. Villa was super clean and the bed nice and comfy. There is a washing machine in the room which was a plus as we are on a longer trip. I highly recommend Chris's Villas. And a plus is dinner in the restaurant on site.

From service, food to the view. 5 star all around. We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary and loved the experience. Steak and Octopus were fantastic. Desserts were smooth and flavourful. We loved the views and kookaburras swinging by.

We couldn't really fault the food. The staff were welcoming and professional. The views were great and were weren't left hungry after our 3-course meal

As you as you arrive in the car park, delicious smells of the possibilities inside makes you immediately salivate in anticipation. This is one of the only fine dining options in Apollo Bay - even with a captive audience, they do great to keep punters coming back! They have accommodation on site, though we came especially for dinner. For entrees we had mussels and the chargrilled octopus. The mussels were piping hot and delicious - the homemade dip on the side was super tasty! Chargrilled octopus was very tender, seared with tahini and a fun sweet potato and chickpeas combo. I had a seafood soup for mains - this was chock full of great seafood (including half a crab! Yum!) - the broth again was steaming hot - may have continued to cook some of the seafood in the bowl, but overall very delicious. M had the veal which was also pretty tasty. The chips on the side were average, nothing to write home about. Decent selection on the wine list of regional and Mediterranean wines, not many by the glass though. The view must be spectacular during the day, but at night there's not much to be seen. If you are looking for a fine dining option in Apollo Bay, give this place a try!

This was an amazing place the view was amazing and the food was outstanding the service was great and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this meal.

Beautiful restaurant overlooking the coast in the Skene's Creek/Apollo Bay area. The view alone is worth the journey. Loved the Greek wine selection and meze plate for starters. Both mains the arrived at our table were beautifully presented with the ocean trout a winner over the beef neck ragout. The cardamon creme brûlée and chocolate mousse perfect ends to our meal. Easily the best restaurant in this region.

Service matches the fantastic views which makes the night. Bonus to get to meet the great man himself. Decent range on the wine list. Recommend staying the night at the on-site units to fully appreciate the spectacular view of the ocean.

We went for dinner and obviously there was no views due to night time , but it was an amazing experience and the service was fantastic and it was very clean. My partner and I enjoyed our meals it was perfect!!!

Went for Dinner on Monday Evening 06/11/2017 based on other reviews. 1. Completely indifferent staff did not welcome us. 2. Waitress hurried my Wife to order like we were on a clock. 3. Entree was passable (You can't really screw up fried cheese). 4. Mains were lifeless & flavourless. Duck leg and Lamb Shoulder required 500grams of salt to eek out anything remotely approaching edibility. Servings were miserly. Seriously, I can cook better. Awful. 5. Didn't order dessert as damage was done. Staff were puzzled why we wanted to go! 6. Pave the damn driveway - you've been there 40 years! You call this fine dining? Should have bought Fish n Chips and sat on the beach in Apollo Bay.

A perfect escape away from the tourism trap. Exquisitely hidden above the tree line with gorgeous views. Food is lovely. Staff is so kind and helpful. The town of Apollo Bay and surrounding areas are an easy drive.

Superbly presented and delicious food with great service in front of one of the more stunning settings offered by a restaurant. The scallops and lamb were both amazing. Perfect place for a romantic night out. Highly recommended.

Sorry, but can't recommend this restaurant for either price or food. We booked based on the great reviews, looking for incredible seafood in a seaside setting. Views were amazing but unfortunately we would not return - a dozen oysters for $44 was reasonable in a top restaurant, but these were frozen oysters. To be fair, the waiter deducted these from the bill after being advised we did not enjoy our meals and that we had expected fresh oysters. But frozen? Come on. The restaurant did not have lobster, which was sold fresh in Apollo Bay, nor did it have any simple fresh fish. We chose steak and duck dishes at $46 and $42 respectively. Again, not unreasonable in a top restaurant. However, the steak was disappointing and was just a lump of meat with some mash. The duck confit was too oily to enjoy. $150 for a meal for 2 is reasonable if the food delivers. Unfortunately, this restaurant is not worth the journey. Next day, we drove through Warrnambool and enjoyed very fresh oysters on the beach for $13.50 a dozen.

A special fondness for this place. The view overlooking the Bay is unmatched. It's kinda like you're looking out from a treehouse in the hills. I've heard there have been times when you can actually see koalas from the window while you dine although we didn't see any that night. The owner has been with the restaurant for years, this is his life and he still gets in at 7:30am to oversee preparation. My guess is that he loves what he does and this is who he is and that sentiment is felt in the restaurant. It's kinda like you're his guest and we are eating out of his living room, which is a nice experience. He was even around saying hello to the patrons. The food was good, probably the best in the region, (chips were awesome, calamari excellent!). My only criticism is that my main dish, although perfectly fine and nicely prepared, was a bit safe. Flavors didn't pop in my mouth, but I enjoyed my dish overall. Service was excellent. This place is a must if you can get a seat- limited, call ahead! Great for celebrating special occasions too!
