I do not recommend this school. They place their sports program and arts program ahead of academics. The school is known for accepting any student willing to pay tuition and not get into another high school. The school has been involved in so many scandals over the years regarding staffing, abuse, and now being sued by the Diocese of Brooklyn since they have been breaking their contract for how to operate the building. Additionally, they have created and opened their own free Public Charter School to compete against surrounding Catholic Elementary Schools in the area. The very Catholic School students they are trying to recruit.Enrollment has gone from nearly 1700 to 800 within a decade. Families in the neighborhood send their children to other co-ed Catholic Schools in Queens to avoid this school, even though it is close by their homes. The reputation is so bad in the surrounding Catholic Schools that they are now trying to offer discounts to students to come there directly from Catholic Elementary schools because people are avoiding the school. Sadly, this speaks volumes for the reality of how the school really is behind the scenes and not how they try to portray themselves to the public.
