Christie Conservation is a gem for an easy nature escape! We did the Round the Lake Trail, which is super accessible and well-marked with yellow blazes. Even if you lose sight of a marker, just follow the lake — you really can’t go wrong. The trail offers a nice mix of shaded areas and sunny spots, making it perfect for a relaxed walk. It’s a great trail to bring your dog along (ours loved it!), just keep an eye out as it does cross paths with a bike trail in a few areas. Beyond the trail, the park is a fantastic place to spend the day — there’s a kid-friendly beach, lots of open space for a picnic, and it’s an ideal spot for paddling too. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a peaceful outdoor day with a bit of everything! You do have to pay for entrance. For two people we paid $22.

It was beautiful and huge. Had ample of space. The tables were set at a distance. There was a small connecting beach where kids enjoyed. We loved the experience. There was a seperate picnic area as well.

Great trails a nice friendly place to mountain bike. Not overly busy most of the time. If you have mountain biked here. Thanks to HBMBA, the Hamilton Burlington mountain bike association. For keeping the trails in good shape. Also a good spot for a swim or a paddleboard.

Really nice conservation area. Lake is great for paddle boarding, really calm water. Lots of parking and the line at the gate was quick.

The park is very large and has a lot of different accommodations, trails, and activities. There's plenty of different hiking and biking trails, especially on the southern side. There's disk golf section, smaller beaches, a bridge on the west side, and dam on the east side. In the spring and summer, you can end up with pretty large infestations of mosquitoes and bugs here, so got to be wary of that. There is paid entry into the park.

A beautiful location, but we were very disappointed with the service. We paid $33 for entry (two adults and two children) but when we had walked to the boat hire found that there was no-one there. We had checked the opening times on the website and it was supposed to be open. We did go for a nice walk, but as we went there specifically to go canoeing we were obviously disappointed.

Excellent mtb trails managed by Hamilton Burlington mtb club. Color coded for difficultly. Not overly technical, kids can ride green and blue trails.

Yelp
We can to Christie Lake on a Sunday it was a bit cooler at 22 degrees but with the full sun and no clouds it make it a perfect day. This is my first time coming to this provincial park. The admission including parking was around $26 plus taxes for 1 adult and 2 kids age 13. It's $15 per car and driver and $5 per Additional person. That's quite expensive. You can buy an annual family pass for $150 which is great for all parks in Hamilton. It's worth it if you like to hike as well. It wasn't too busy. This park is very clean with lots of areas to bbq and Jane birthday parties. People brought their grills to bbq and we saw a few parties being hosted there. There was plenty of parking spots. You can actually drive your car all the way to the picnic sites to unload your things and then drive back to the parking lot. We went to beach one which was the closest one. From the parking lot to the beach it was about a 5 Mins walk. The areas was really clean and plenty of space to sun tan on the sand or grass. I took one star off because the water was very brown. Maybe I'm not used to lake water. I also saw a dog poo in the water which was gross on the owners part to let their dog do that. It is a dog friendly lake. Maybe that's why no dogs were allowed on the other beaches because they go to the washroom in the water. There's a full washroom there not a porto potty. The washrooms are pretty clean which I'm relieved about. It was a pretty provincial park to spend the day relaxing. I would definitely come back or even host a party there.

Yelp
After visiting a few conservation areas, this is by far my favourite so far. The admission fee is $15 for car and driver + $5 for each passenger. If you are looking for a place to have a family outdoor gathering with plenty of space for the kids to play, this is the place. The best part is the view of the lake is spectacular. It was so quaint and peaceful! We strolled along the lake and then just relaxed in the Marina picnic area for lunch. Considering it was a Thanksgiving long weekend, this place was relatively quiet. It's definitely a hidden gem.

Yelp
My friend told me about this park and I planned a day out with my family. We packed our own food as we didn't see any BBQ pits, but you can make bbq there if you'd like with your own equipment. It's an enormous park which has plenty of trails, picnic benches, and activities to do such as a small beach, kayaking or swimming in the lake, or playing sports or games with friends and family in the parks. There is even a horse trail! Pet friendly and even when the park is full, it does not feel congested. Parking is $15 for vehicle and driver plus $5 per passenger. I found this to be a bit expensive.
