Yelp
Christies Beach is getting more expensive, more places are being sold and bulldozed into Modern Estates They are adding more Cafes and Pubs and Upgrading The Coles SuperMarket/SuperStore on Beach Road They are upgrading the area A Lot, House prices Increasing Extremely, Let me make an Example 30 Years ago the Suburb Know as Seacliff Was very poor and in Poverty and Today is one of the most Expensive Suburbs to Be known, So Yes Christies Beach is One of the Best Places to Live, I have Visited Christies Beach A Lot, soon Buying a House at Christies Beach.

Yelp
Lots of memories from childhood school holidays at Christies Beach, even lived there for near 3 years. Nice area. Beautiful beach.

Yelp
I love waxing lyrical over Christies Beach simply because it is an absolute tranquil place to be during sunset. Gazing at the light orange ball as it hovers and later drifts with the horizon, giving out a spectacle performance before it bids its viewers farewell. The sand is powdery soft sans huge rocks, the waves are frothy and huge during evening and the walks along this coast is utterly magnificent to enjoy alone or with a loved one beside you. A bit farther in the southern tip but so worth the drive. There are plenty of nearby cafes and less than a kilometre away, grab some delicious Chinese cuisine or go Aussie with a fish and chips meal. One of the beautiful beaches in Adelaide no doubt.

Yelp
Christies Beach is one of the nicest beaches in the southern suburbs. While it may not be in the realm of bigger tourist locations such as Glenelg or Brighton, the surrounding atmosphere and walking distance from the shops on Beach Road, make it stand out. Just a stone's throw away from the very popular, Port Noarlunga beach, Christies Beach is just north off the spectacular Witton Bluff. The views from the bluff over the beach are breathtaking at sunset and the top of the bluff gives you a good view of the water. The beach itself is well maintained, the sand is clean and there is very little rubbish around. Unlike some parts of Port Noarlunga, closer to the river mouth than the jetty and touristy part, Christies Beach has very little deposits of seaweed on the sand near the beach. In my opinion, that is quite a good thing as there is nothing worse than accidentally stepping in seaweed. With that said, if you like collecting shells from beaches, like I once did, Christies Beach has less shells than Port Noarlunga, probably just due to size difference. However both beaches still offer a nice walk and great local facilities. One thing to be forewarned about is parking. During the summer, parking can be quite difficult, so you may need to park on the Esplanade near Port Noarlunga and walk up.

Yelp
One of my preferred places to go on a really hot day. It does get busy, but as Katie pointed out it doesn't get as busy as some of the other beaches. Christies beach has all the facilities you need for a good day at the beach, and is great for swimming and fishing. There is ample car parking, and lots of spots for you to set yourself up for the day.

Yelp
Christies Beach is probably the closest beach to my home. In fact if you stand on your tippy toes on the front verandah you can get an ocean view (yes, they actually sold the house with that as one of their pitches!?!?!?!). There's always plenty of room. The dog beach is a little further up at O'Sullivans Beach so usually pet lovers will go there. There is plenty of places to grab a cold drink or a bite to eat along the foreshore or just up Beach Road. There is also a fantastic shaded kids playground and lawned area just across the road to relax for a ittle while before you go back across the road to the water. The water is nice at Christies and there are not huge rocks or heaps of seaweed. Often you can even get a sandbar - which the kids like. Parking has never been impossible nearby and although people go there it is not crowded and you can still do your own thing.

Yelp
Nice quiet beach except on really hot days. Also a good area for recreational fishing.

Yelp
One of the BEST beaches in S.A! It doesn't get over crowded like semaphore and the bay which is a bonus! The water is very clean (hardly any seaweed) and the views are amazing. They have this walking trail that looks up to this cliff and you can take plenty of awesome photos and soak up the view. I have been swimming here and there has been no sharks and I haven't got bitten by any sea creatures or stung by jellyfish like previous beaches. The sunset here is so pretty aswell! The waves are great too, they're bigger than the waves at most beaches and they're so much fun. I went swimming at sunset and there was only one problem, there was a drop off in the water, like you walk out to you're hips then boom you're up to your waist. This may not be a problem for some but it's not good for children because they could drown. I only experienced this towards night time and at no point did I experience any drop offs during the day. The sea gulls are also really friendly. I love this place so much that if I could, i'd transform myself into a hermit crab and live here.
