4 Best Day Trips from Seattle | Condé Nast Traveler

"There are more than 20 designated waterfalls within Mount Rainier National Park, and pretty much all of them are worth visiting. And as an easy-to-reach yet still impressive waterfall that flows year-round, Christine Falls is a no-brainer. It’s accessible from your car—no major hiking or rock scrambling required—so it's too convenient a stop and too easy a picture to pass up. Parking is limited, though, so make this your first stop on your way into the park from the Nisqually entrance." - Jenna Scatena, Allison Williams

WOW! Just wow. I am so glad that I didn't listen to myself thinking it might not be worth a stop. Sure, the view from the trail is pretty, but what really knocked our socks off was walking to the stone bridge and looking over it on the mountainside. Peer down and enjoy the beautiful, powerful sight that awaits you. Then walk to the far left of the bridge and look towards the mountainside and enjoy the Upper part of Christine Falls.

Absolutely must stop on the drive and walk down the path to get the full affect of this incredible waterfall!

Beautiful! A quick trail is already made...a little opening from the little parking space and you can get a clear picture and continue down the trail if you want.

This beautiful waterfall is right off the road to Paradise, coming from the Nisqually entrance: limited parking and walking. Don’t forget about the little falls with no name across the road. The water falls on you there.

You can park & walk over to the upper part of the bridge as of March 2023. The lower entrance is closed due to snow. The drive up there is beautiful. We were able to get to almost Paradise without chains but they ask if you have them when you enter the park so be prepared to have them on hand. We just didn’t want to put them on so we turned around. There are a lot of people up there on sunny days like this so be ready for crowds & waiting for that perfect shot.

This bridge comes in the mount Rainer national park on the way to Paradise from Nisqually entrance. There is a small parking lot before and after that the bridge. The water falls into 2 levels. Just across the road on the bridge the first level and just a few steps down on the parking lot side the 2nd level. The falls are very scenic and beautiful. It's a lovely spot but parking is difficult. Definitely worth a stop.

Such a perfect lil stop when you enter the park. Easy to miss the pullout so put it in your gps before you get into the park and lose service! The viewpoint is only about 15 yards from the parking area, very quick lil walk down a few steps to a spectacular view.
