This bed and breakfast is beautiful. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The common areas and rooms were exceptionally clean. They had a common room with coffee/tea, games, and books available. They had a continental style breakfast and also a homemade option. There were a few places to eat and some sites within easy walking distance.

The large historic house was beautiful! The restoration that had been done had lots of details.||The reception we got was very welcoming.||The room was very, very clean along with the bathroom.||The common room had all sorts of beverages for people to enjoy along with an honor system of snacks. It is refreshing to be somewhere where the honor system is present and people respect it.||The breakfast room was warm and welcoming with very comfortable New England style furnishings||I really love the whole place!||Recommendations for guest is to have earplugs in case you are on the side where the highway is.||Recommendation for the bed and breakfast is to use white linens and cotton blankets on the bed. ||There were three different colored linens on the bed and the fabric was difficult to move or shift on.||We left the location that was convenient to the capital.

This Bed and Breakfast is outstanding. It is one of my favorite all-time stays. Stayed here to be within walking distance of a conference at the Marriott. This was a vastly better stay than the hotel. Room was impeccably clean and well-appointed without being overly-decorated (so many BnBs are overdone). The breakfasts were excellent and a good range of choices. Common room very thoughtful and comfortable. Will be back if I get the chance.

This place is AMAZING! I stayed here for 5 nights and it was perfect! Clean, comfortable, and affordable! Or at least way more affordable than some of the hotels. I was also amazed at how quiet it was. I'm super sensitive to sounds and got the full 8 hours of sleep with no interruptions. I'm already planning on coming back again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Christopher Dodge House for our anniversary weekend! The room was beautifully decorated with some nice touches, like homemade cookies and a heated bathroom. Downstairs we could help ourselves to coffee, tea and water 24/7 with some sweet treats to purchase for a few dollars. The breakfasts were delicious - everything was homemade! We had our choice of 2 hot breakfast options, and our servers were friendly and so helpful! The check-in was so easy and communication was excellent. Their web page upon booking had everything you would need to know and then some! Local events, restaurants, and recommendations. We walked almost everywhere and where we could not, our Uber drivers were just 5 minutes away. We would definitely recommend the Christopher Dodge House for anyone who wants a warm and comfy BnB experience in the lovely Providence!

The pillows are rock hard. They are old and need to be replaced. The staff was lovely, and the rooms were well decorated and cleaned daily. A bottle of water in each guest room on arrival would be a nice and needed touch. The cookies that were in our rooms were superb. The breakfast was delicious. However, a plain hot egg option would be helpful for those trying to stick to protein. Coffee was terrific. It is a quiet setting which makes for a good night's sleep. Be careful of the sidewalks outside. They are treacherous. Parking on site was an asset.

Google
Lovely B&B in historic building. Parking at the rear and easy check in. Our room was up several flights of stairs and there is no lift which was a bit of a struggle with cases. The room however was large and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was a little dated and the shower lacked power. Plenty of fresh towels and toiletries. Overall a very comfortable room. Breakfast was amazing, two hot options each day plus lots of fresh pastries, cereals etc. A real bonus is the general lounge with 24/7 coffee and tea. There is also a fridge of goodies with a trust box to pay $1 per item…. Most welcome. The location is slightly out from the centre but the price reflected this and we walked in without any problem. Would stay here again for sure

This establishment exhibits a welcoming and exceptional ambiance, particularly suitable for families. Its breathtaking views and amiable staff contribute to an unforgettable experience. They provided us with a sense of belonging, akin to being at home away from home.

Yelp
Wife and I were finishing a visit in Massachusetts and wanted to find a place to stay as we continued our tour of New England. Found this quaint gem through Yelp reviews and tried to secure a reservation through my phone (got stuck so I had to call to follow up). Luckily the gentleman who was managing that night (I'm sorry I forgot his name due to all the stops we made), took my reservation over the phone, greeted us when we got there and made us feel welcome. Stayed in the King 3 and loved the historic feel of the place, comfy bed, sound proof glass in the room helped keep the noice down from the highway nearby and the breakfast the next morning was the best we had on our trip. Such an lovely place to stop on our travels, great find.

Yelp
The owner investigated and confirmed that the construction company performed late night activities but failed to notify them. Usually they get notified ahead of time and would inform guests prior to their arrival to give guests the options to stay or not. The owner apologized and provided full refund. I appreciate the timely response and corrective actions. The b&b itself is nicely done. It preserved the original charismatics of the historical landmark, clean, and lovely.

Yelp
Have only had great experiences staying here, food is great, location convenient, and customer service is bar non one of the best I've experienced. I would highly recommend this beautiful quaint B&B.

Kerrie D.

Yelp
We continue to love the CDH and always look to book here first when visiting our son at RISD! At this point, i've probably stayed here 6 or 7 times over the past couple of years and aside from an uncomfortable breakfast during a covid holiday season (someone working breakfast accused me of not paying for the third person in our party, which I had, and even offered to explain that the office may have not communicated that to the kitchen...yet they continued to question me as all other diners watched), we have had a wonderful experience every time. The building is beautiful, every room i've ever stayed in has been lovely and the breakfast is almost always GREAT!

Robbie M.

Yelp
Wonderful historic home we were fortunate enough to stay in. We were greeted with a beautiful, comfortable bedroom with a canopied bed, working gas fireplace and a lovely outdoor view and fresh baked cookies in our room. There'a a separate comfy room with coffee, tea and a refrigerator to store a bottle of wine we brought. Separate dining area where we were offered a hot delicious breakfast each morning as well. close to where everything is happening in Providence and plenty of off street parking. We look forward to returning!

Rach S.

Yelp
This was a very nice b and b. We enjoyed the breakfast. There were hot and cold options for breakfast each day. We were on the third floor and there are only stairs. There is park next to the building and an overflow lot. The room was spacious.

Steven D.

Yelp
Our stay at the Christopher Dodge House was a great little getaway from Boston. Our room was spacious and very cute, old fashioned in a way that was historical but not at all run down. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable and the bathroom had all of the necessary amenities. The absolutely delicious cookies waiting for us on our bed were a nice and tasty surprise (seriously some incredible cookies)! We didn't speak to many people at the Inn because we were out exploring Providence, but everybody we interacted with was very kind, hospitable, and attentive. For breakfast, we had the last slot at 10:00am. When we sat down, we informed they were out of one of the meal options which we thought might happen but was still a bit disappointing. All three of us ended up getting the frittata and it was very good, but was a little cold in places. The continental breakfast had some very yummy muffins and a number of other breakfasty items like toast and spreads, hard boiled eggs, and an assortment of juices. Overall, was a very nice experience and would definitely recommend the Christopher Dodge House to anybody looking for a quaint and charming stay in Providence.

Yelp
One of the most comfortable hotels I've ever stayed in. Comfortable room with large bed, beautiful quilt and two wing chairs. Gas fireplace comes on automatically when you adjust temperature. Wing chairs you can actually sit and relax in and a small desk. The house is historic and the furnishings are in period. Everything brings you back to a more relaxed time. Welcoming staff makes your cooked breakfast to order. Two minutes from Amtrak station. This now my hotel of choice in Providence!

Mary S.

Yelp
I've stayed here several times before Covid and found the rooms charming and the breakfast appetizing. However when I stayed recently... the room was still nice but the breakfast was extremely disappointing. Eggs get burnt, okay, but don't serve it to your guests. What are you thinking? As bad as the breakfast was, the biggest disappointment was when I left something behind. Although I called multiple times it was never returned to me. Once you pay they couldn't care less about you. Not good customer service.

Olivia O.

Yelp
What a lovely BNB experience! It was clear that the owners had put a lot of care and attention into updating the protocols and this small inn to adapt to COVID-19, and everything was sparkling clean and carefully considered. The historic building has been lovingly undated by the innkeepers. We loved our front facing room with its canopy bed and original detail. Delicious homemade cookies (individually wrapped of course) were waiting for us when we checked in. They have tea, coffee and snacks available all the time. They really outdid themselves with breakfast--offering two hot entree options each day, made to order, in addition to the typical continental spread. I would absolutely stay at this delightful inn again, next time I'm in Providence.

Jeff H.

Yelp
There are many places to stay in Providence but we luckily chose the CD House. It was clean and comfortable and not at all like a big hotel chain. The staff went out of their way to make our stay feel special. Will definitely be back.

Tania S.

Yelp
Our stay here this past weekend was wonderful. Located in a historic home from the 1800's, this bed and breakfast is exactly what you would imagine. Cozy, warm and with lots of little touches that make it exceptional. I appreciated their sanitization and clearly communicated procedures that were emailed to me before the trip. Once we got there, a friendly woman at the front desk showed us where our room was and pointed out the common areas. The fireplace in the room was definitely a nice touch to make the room feel warm and inviting. The welcome cookies and mints on the table were adorable. Breakfast was great and being able to enjoy it in our room with a view of the capitol building was even better. The chef cooking up breakfast was also very friendly. Overall, a great stay and I'd highly recommend it!

CC C.

Yelp
Needed a close place to stay for Rhode Island's comic convention. Price was decent enough that I was willing to take a chance for 20 min or less walk to the Dunkin Donut Center. A very elegant, homey bed and breakfast that's very close to so many things in downtown Providence. It's a historic house with old fashion touches, but modern amenities. Your stay includes free wifi, made to order breakfast, and fresh baked cookies. There's a cute breakfast area and a commons area with a nice fireplace if you want to rest or read for a while. They offer popcorn and water in the common area for a nominal fee ($1), and they have a pillow exchange if the one you have doesn't suit. By far, my favorite part of the room is the amazing heater in front of shower. That thing could heat the entire bathroom! I definitely enjoyed my stay here and would stay again if ever I find myself needing a place in Providence

Eileen K.

Yelp
I can't say enough about what a pleasant stay I had here. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. My room was so cozy & comfortable, loved the welcome cookies! The breakfast room is so quaint and the pumpkin stuffed French toast roll ups were divine. So many special touches like the common room with tea & coffee all day and snacks for just 1 dollar. I ended up here because everything was booked in Newport for Parents weekend visiting my son at Salve Regina University. What a happy accident! Although I didn't like all the driving I did back and forth, I was happy to climb into that big comfortable king sized bed when I got back to the Inn.

Patricia S.

Yelp
Excellent!! Friendly, clean, surprising quiet ( next to 95). We loved the history and the old features.

Anna F.

Yelp
I had a very nice stay at the Christopher Dodge House. My room was very comfortable and clean, staff was very friendly and most accommodating. I would stay again.

Ian D.

Yelp
Meh. A nice old house with lovely sheets and memory-foam pillows, but shoddily managed as a B&B. An hour and 45 minutes after the office was supposed to have opened, I went down (three flights of stairs) to ask about our securing the room for another night, but the office was locked up tight, so I fetched some coffee and orange juice from the breakfast area (where I also found no staff) and returned to our room. Fifteen minutes later (an hour before checkout time) I called for the same purpose, to the same end - no answer. So I left a message in the office's voicemail. Around 11:00 (checkout time), a housekeeper knocked. We told her we didn't need the room made up and would like to take it for another night, and she told us we should contact the office - that there should be someone there now. I called down and there was someone there...who got all snippy with me for contacting them so late. When I explained that I had previously come to the office and called and found no one there either time, I was told I should have searched the house to find someone on the staff to notify them that we wanted to stay another night. In the end, the woman at the desk did begrudgingly arrange for us to be able to stay another night, but I'm regretting having done so as I don't feel this place deserves another $169 of my money for the service rendered. No elevator, tripping hazards in the room (a permanently raised corner of an area rug; a set of steps for climbing into the high bed), a few shoddy appointments (such as a knob missing from the deadbolt), and staff that holds the guests responsible for there not being enough staff to do the job correctly...I've definitely stayed in nicer (and far more hospitable) places for less money. Update: notice how Kenneth P.'s responses to the negative reviews all try to turn responsibility for the problems back onto the guests? That's emblematic of the management's customer-hostile approach: "The staff at Christopher Dodge House can do no wrong, but the guests sure can." My advice: avoid it.

Yelp
My wife & I stayed here for an overnight to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The house was very quaint & easy to locate. After we checked in, we were given a tour of the house & shown our room. The room was beautiful with the high ceilings & high beds. Wood planked flooring & the fireplace were a nice touch. We had a hot breakfast the next morning prior to checking out. We'd absolutely stay again.

Caro G.

Yelp
This is a true bed and breakfast. It's clean enough. It's quiet. It's quaint. Honestly a little too B&B for my taste but if you prefer that type of atmosphere, this is your jam. SOME CONCERNS: there is a lady, possibly the co-owner, who didn't like me calling my brother's name from the bottom floor to get his attn at the very top floor. It was unprofessional how she reacted to me. She could have just said please keep it down for other guests yet instead she was sarcastic and passive aggressive. Also, they do not assist you with your luggage AND the establishment is about 4 stories with several flights of stairs so it's not like a hotel with a bell person; it's a true B&B. Last but not least, the toilets are low and the interior bowl is a just a tad on the stained grimey side. These concerns led me to provide only 3 stars for this B&B.

Jenny C.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay here! We were visiting Brown University with our son. The room was perfect for three people and close to the university. The b&b was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and thoughtful. Cookies were in our room upon arrival, and there were even gluten-free cookies due to my allergy! There are staircases here. They have made it known in all their advertising. We worked off those cookies! However, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. We had a lovely experience.

Michael D.

Yelp
cutest place , the nicest people, delicious breakfast in the morning & close to everything !

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Had a lovely 3 night stay in room 2g on the ground floor. All was as expected given the various reviews on trip advisor etc. This B&B is for people who like lodgings with character. That character, of course, sometimes come with some quirks like steep stairs or "only one" hot entree! (From another review) This B&B is comfortable, clean, charming and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was fulsome with more than a basic continental breakfast plus the hot entree. Before I left, I ordered online the sheets that were on our bed. They were so silky soft. (I did this before I saw the little card on the bedside table providing the link to the sheet brand! So, others must ask regularly!)

Scorch S.

Yelp
The staff is very friendly and makes you feel very welcomed. Rooms are quiet and comfortable. Definitely recommend them for anyone visiting Providence.

Jake S.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful stay! It was our first time in Providence and we couldn't have picked a better place. We chose a room on the first floor and it was extremely comfortable. Hot and cold food options were excellent. Easy walking distance to most places we wanted to see. We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area.

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Upon our arrival we were welcomed by Kate. Not the warmest Inn Keeper but rather stoic. Despite our welcome, the kitchen staff including Joan (?) were exceptionally accommodating, friends and could cook. Our room was clean, comfortable and roomy but the bedsheets drove us crazy coming undone and slipping off of the corners. Sounds petty but really a pet peeve of ours. We did have an issue with our hair dryer not working and when we asked Kate about the follow up, she was rather dismissive and not apologetic. The breakfast choices were amazing and the coffee always hot and fresh. Upon return to the area, we would stay again.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Wonderful stay here. Clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, delicious hot breakfast, and homemade welcome cookies. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in Providence.

Jackie K.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay at the Inn. Everything was very clean, the food was good and the personal were extremely nice. Would highly recommend though book early enough to get the lower bedrooms .

Cindy M.

Yelp
BEWARE!! Bait & Switch!! Terrible Customer Service & dishonest price quotes. Do not stay! I spent 10+ minutes giving my info to a staff member, who quoted $99 for a room (D1)...to get a call back from Vanessa (front desk) saying the manager would not honor that price. What a waste of time! DO NOT STAY! ***UPDATE on Managers Response... I was never offered an upgrade and never did the staff try to "work with me" The manager is a liar and dishonest and just trying to seem reasonable to anyone reading my review.

Nancy L.

Yelp
Run down and not kept up. Carpets were old, paint chipped and peeling, window screen got stuck, window frame was old and peeling paint, .....I checked in and checked out

Cindy B.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the breakfasts were great and the room was clean. However, we arrived after hours and had to use a lockbox to enter. As 70+ seniors, It was raining at 11:45 pm and the lockbox was very low, very small with low light. It was difficult to see the very tiny buttons to enter the code and took me 8 times to get it open. Perhaps a better location. Otherwise, we would reserve again. Thanks to all, especially Kristen who helped get a recliner in our room for my husband.

Ron M.

Yelp
Christopher G Dodge House This was a very unique B&B. The common area always had lots of snack and beverage options. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The stairs are a little intimidating, but it's a beautiful old building, so you deal. Not the friendliest staff on our trip, but those we dealt with were efficient and our needs were met. We are not early risers, so can't comment on the breakfast. Nice location with ample parking and close to the beautiful capital building (state house?) and many great restaurants.

Angela B.

Yelp
Really a great experience. Rooms very clean. Friendly service nice accommodations. We will definitely check here for availability first if we come to Providence again. We really enjoy bed and breakfast options when we can find nice ones like this. On the side note the sheets were very "comfy" and you were able to purchase while here. If we weren't flying I would have bought a set. Only complaints were very minimal. Biggest is the lack of parking for so many rooms. Especially in a climate like this- we had a little bit of flurries and some rain. You really do t want to be waking 2 blocks with luggage in the weather. Next is they had every option of coke to buy but regular and it would have been nice for the night we ordered pizza in as we don't do diet or zero, etc. Lastly is they offered vegetable frittata for last mornings hot breakfast. Which was disappointment for my 6 foot 1, 210# husband. He would have just preferred simple eggs and bacon or similar so we skipped and paid for breakfast elsewhere. The parking is the only reason for a 4 and if there was a 4 and a half they would have got that. We were here for 4 nights and during our many coming and going we had to park down the street and around the block since there are only about 5 actual parking spots and a few along the side of the home in the streets. If they could work out a cut through from the overflow parking with the home owners for future, we could give a solid five star rating. Just read your response about the Garage spots. Those were available several times just didn't realize that was an option. Happy to adjust my 4.5 to 5 for you. The coke comment no big deal, yes all those other options were there and appreciated!!! We will see you again!!

Diane P.

Yelp
Had a great stay here It's our second time here and we will be back next time where in providence The staff are friendly and efficient Convenient location to walk to downtown providence

Billy B.

Yelp
Excellent service, warm and friendly staff, and great breakfast. Will come back soon.

Yelp
We recently stayed at the Christopher Dodge House over a weekend in Providence. We were there for a mix of work and pleasure, and it was our first time in the city. We found this b&b to be fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were at home. The inn is set back off the main road, and has a small parking lot in the back... I'd say within 10 minutes of parking, we were already in our room. Checking in was so easy, and the young lady led us to our room super quick. We stayed on the top floor in a king junior room, and it was HUGE. The room itself could sleep 4 adults, comfortably. It was spacious and airy. We didn't use the fireplace but I imagine in the winter it's super great to have. Ceiling fan was on point, and there was an ac unit but in early spring, we didn't have use for it. Bathroom was super comfy and well lit, loved the rugs both in the room and in the bathroom. Shower was great. The best part of a b&b is not just the super cute rooms, but the fooood. This inn has a snack room with baked goods, coffee, water, tea for free as well as candy for purchase. The snack room had comfy chairs. The breakfast is great...mix of pastries and a hot, freshly prepared item such as bacon and a crepe, eggs of some kind etc., as well as yogurt and fruits. I loved it, thought it was so yummy. They were flexible too, the second morning hot breakfast had ham in it, but they made me a scrambled egg with dill that was to die for. Loved the orange coconut cake and the raspberry loaf. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would consider it again if I return to providence! Great price, great service.

Wendy A.

Yelp
How did I not know about this B&B?? My son lives 2 blocks away and every time I've come to visit him, I've stayed at a hotel in town. What a find this place is! The whole house is so charming and I felt welcome immediately. My room was large, comfortable, cool, immaculately clean and had such nice touches (exposed brick, etc.). It was very quiet as well - never heard anyone in the carpeted hallways. The whole house had old-world charm, history and character. Breakfast was perfect. Didn't even mind the walk up to my 3rd floor room (it was an addition to my daily exercise plan!). Will definitely stay here again on future trips to Providence!

Mike D.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed for one night and overall we were very happy with our accommodations. The Inn itself is very charming and we liked the natural wood floors. We were in a deluxe king-bed room on the second floor, facing the RI State House across the highway. The room was clean and comfortable, although the gas fireplace, even with only the standing pilot in operation, overheated the room making it necessary for us to open the window. With the window open the noise level from the highway traffic was pretty high. However, the staff were very friendly and we were offered the option of an alternate room, which we declined. The breakfast was delicious and our gluten-free request was honored very graciously. All things considered, we liked the Inn very much and we would stay again in the future.

Claudia S.

Yelp
We had a very nice stay at Christopher Dodge House. The room and Inn has some wonderful "touches" that are quite welcoming. We loved the gas-lit fireplace that heated our room! Breakfast was perfect and water pressure is amazing, LOL. Location is also terrific...very convenient to everything! Highly recommend!

Olivia M.

Yelp
I am so thrilled that I luckily found this cute B&B. The staff was wonderful, the inn was lovely and our room was clean and cozy. I was surprised at how comfortable the beds were too. The location is very convenient to Providence and the nearby colleges, which were the reason for our visit. It's on a nice, quiet street, tucked away from the bustle of the city. I loved how you could see the capital lights at night from our window. We are actually hoping that our child chooses one of Providence colleges so we have many more opportunities to stay at the Christopher Dodge House.

Madeline W.

Yelp
This place is absolutely beautiful! My friend and I were visiting providence for a few days and it turned out to be a mini oasis. The staff is so friendly, the rooms are gorgeous, and the food is delicious! Will be back just for them.

Mel G.

Yelp
Wonderful place. We were a little concerned about COVID precautions but they had thought of everything. We were traveling with our adult daughter. Room 9 accommodated 3 adults with no problem. It is in the top floor but we were traveling light. Only concern is the inn is located close to a major highway. It is noisy. We were originally going to stay on the road noise side. We asked to be moved to the other side and they were very accommodating. There was no issue with noise in room 9. Will stay there again when in Providence.

Kenneth R.

Yelp
Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Skip the high-priced hotels and stay in a relaxed neighborhood within sight of downtown and with free parking!

Maureen H.

Yelp
Great location. Beautiful room with spectacular night-time view of State House. Fifty feet from 95, but not overly noisy. Rooms have gas fireplaces for heat source making a charming atmosphere. Clean and spacious with comfortable bed. Breakfast was a ham and cheese strada, and assorted other goodies including coffee cakes, fruit cup, yogurt, bagels, etc. The women who work there were very helpful and friendly. They talk funny, though. Oarff instead of off, etc. ;)

Alex E.

Yelp
We stayed at this bnb in October 2020. The staff is super friendly and catered well, especially considering the Covid requirements. Every morning you get plenty of options for breakfast, which they do by monthly themes. This month was themed for France, and they did a great job. The room was cozy, featuring a nice fireplace, provided wifi, and a comfortable bed. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from a lot of wonderful restaurants in Providence. If we come back to Providence, we will likely be staying here again.

c k.

Yelp
We had a lovely stay here in a 19th century house. It was pretty, quiet comfortable and very friendly. Breakfast was terrific, and good coffe was an added bonus.

Holly G.

Yelp
This is an outstanding bed and breakfast! Lots of charm and fantastic breakfast. We had large room with cozy fireplace for heat. I would give it 5 stars if it had an elevator. At a certain age stairs are tough!! Luckily I was traveling with my son who was my private bell boy. All personnel were great. From the reservation clerk to breakfast server all were perfect.

Tammey G.

Yelp
We stayed at the Christopher Dodge House twice in a month, due to planned surgery at a local hospital. What an absolute pleasure, the home is beautiful, clean and very well maintained. The area is very safe and everything is conveniently located. This B&B is an excellent choice, highly recommend without hesitation. The staff, specifically Adlyn (spelling may be wrong for her name), is nothing short of fantastic... she was so amazing to us and her breakfasts delicious! I chose the Christopher Dodge because of the awesome reviews, I am glad to be able to contribute to help others to make this choice!!

Kayla B.

Yelp
This home is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean as others have stated. The owner of the Inn and the staff take great pride in what they do and they are very receptive to feedback.

Amber L.

Yelp
I was pretty underwhelmed by this bed and breakfast, especially compared to other ones I've stayed at and all the good reviews this one somehow has. They did let me check in 15 minutes early. However, shortly after checking in, they called me and said they didn't have a spare set of keys for my room. They took mine back, and gave me a master key to the place to use while they had a new one made, which made me feel kind of uneasy. The room was very noisy and uncomfortable. It was on the top floor, and I know heat rises, but it was March and I had the AC on full blast just to be comfortable. I would not want to stay there in the warmer months. The room was very noisy, due to highway traffic. Also, the bed headboard was not attached to the wall or the bed frame, so it wobbled and clanked against the wall every time I would move slightly while trying to sleep, only adding to the noise. Lastly, the shower was extremely slow to drain. (The pillows and sheets in the room were very comfortable.) Breakfast was okay, but not very filling. I was hungry again about an hour after eating it. The location was not as central as I would have liked. Federal Hill, downtown, and Benefit street are all a bit of a hike, and at night the area seemed a little sketchy. When I told a bartender it was off of Holden Street, she suggested I take an Uber back at night. It was very convenient to the State House. Parking on site was nice, but be aware that you are not guaranteed a space in their small lot, and overflow parking is a couple of streets away. Normally, I would have mentioned all of the room negatives to a staff member, but not one person asked how I slept or how the room was, which I find shocking for a small business.
