Step into this classic American steakhouse and cocktail bar where high ceilings meet delectable brunch dishes like fluffy French toast and truffle eggs.
"When you come to this two-floor American restaurant in Covent Garden for brunch, book the upstairs dining room. It’s got high ceilings, an open and airy feel, and round tables with white tablecloths that will make it hard for your friend to reach over for a bite of your wagyu steak. (Know that all of the wagyu beef options on the menu are halal.) Our go-to move is to get one of their hefty burgers and leave enough stomach space for the chocolate-filled, brioche french toast. It’s our favourite french toast in the city." - rianne shlebak, jake missing, heidi lauth beasley
"Christopher’s serves the best french toast in London. Thick brioche with a soft gooey centre, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and melted chocolate—this is the reason you come here. But that’s not all this two-floor, white-tablecloth American restaurant in Covent Garden has to offer. Lobster mac and cheese and wagyu burgers are also great, and on the weekend there’s also a Texas grill with sausages and hash browns." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"This two-floor American restaurant opposite the Lyceum is for two very different moods. The upstairs restaurant is all white tablecloths and high ceilings, while the downstairs martini bar is all velvet sofa chairs and very strong third date energy. If you’re headed here with a group of friends and are after some of the best french toast in London, sit in the dining room and make a meal of it. But if you’re in the mood for a drink and a bite to eat with someone you fancy, know you can order the whole menu in the bar." - sinead cranna, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager
"Pancakes, martinis, steak and a doze on the journey home is what to expect from Christopher’s in Covent Garden. It’s running EOTHO discounts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays." - oliver feldman, rianne shlebak
"Christopher’s may very well have the best french toast in London. There, we said it. Thick brioche, with a soft gooey centre, is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and more melted chocolate—it’s the reason you come here. But that’s not all this two-floor American restaurant opposite the Lyceum in Covent Garden has to offer. It’s got high ceilings, round tables with white tablecloths, and a menu filled with things like lobster mac and cheese, wagyu burgers (which is definitely an acceptable brunch), and Texas grill complete with sausages and hash browns." - rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
