I didn't see the inside of the pagoda, except the stage and activities center where the lecture on a famous Vietnamese poet was given and the announcement of the children winners of the Art contest...Both events organized by Dieu Ngu Vietnamese Buddhist Community Association were excellent! I was very impressed with the dedication and commitment of the pagoda and of the association. Next time I will explore the whole pagoda anh other religious aspects!

Yelp
A very local, simple temple in the Westminster area. It does get very crowded during special or commemorative days. When you walk up the main steps, you will take off your shoes and place them amongst the many other pairs of shoes in the shoe area. On the special days and on their regular temple days, they have vegetarian dishes for purchase at the booth. I have gotten sick once from having some dish from here, but it didnt stop me returning more than once. Oh, and you cannot miss this temple - it's painted a really bright yellow on the outside. Street parking only, so be prepared to park a few short blocks away.

Yelp
Temple just renovated, and it one of the nicest temples I been to in Westminster Very modern and organized. The temple itself exudes a sense of serenity and tranquility, with beautifully adorned statues and intricate architectural details. Upon entering, visitors are greeted with a profound sense of peace that immediately puts one at ease. Great place for worship, prayer, and meditation in a Buddhist atmosphere and space. Renovations improved the aesthetics and Buddhist services are offered.

Yelp
This was one of the Buddhist temples my family and I stopped by during Lunar New Year as our annual tradition. It's one of the larger and popular temples in the area. During the new year, the temple is beautifully decorated. There are a good amount of photo ops as well so this is a nice place to take pictures. There is also a stand where they sell vegetarian food at affordable prices. For parking, there is street parking and also a medium size parking lot across from the temple. Overall, this is a great temple to pay a visit to especially during the new year.

Yelp
Love this temple! Very clean here, but the statues, temples, and pagodas, I can not describe how breathtaking the detail has been carved into the building! Please come here if you can, on mostly every new years, famous singers come here and sing, please come if you can!

Yelp
They renovated this temple recently and it's beautiful. They have nice tiles in the main temple which probably makes cleaning easier. Wear socks because it can get cold! The temple is so pretty from the outside and appears well kept. The dining area is soo big and the vegetarian food is so good. Portions are generous. Overall, would recommend visiting this temple.

Yelp
Chua Dieu Ngu is very peaceful and welcoming. They are currently constructing a $6 million dollar temple that is adjacent to it. In June 2016 this temple will have a three-day grand opening and I think the Dali Lama will be there. I am very excited http://www.ocregister.com/articles/temple-698909-thich-westminster.html

Yelp
This was my last stop when I went temple hopping with my family for Lunar New Year/Tet last week. There is ample street parking for this temple so you don't need to worry about the crowd. The temple is very decorated for the Tet season and there were a lot of people making their temple visits on Friday night. This temple takes care of dogs, there were 3-4 big dogs running around the temple ground. The temple praying room was huge and there were statues all around the temple ground. There was another separate room that is used for bigger ceremonies. This is unique compare to other temples because it is indoor, so the elderly people don't have to worry about the cold, or the heat when they attend the big Buddhist events! The difference between this temple (and other OC temples) and Chua Phat To in Long Beach is they charge you if you want to eat the vegetarian food at the temple.

Yelp
If I could give this place a zero star rating, I would. I flew in from Denver Colorado to come to this temple for a once in a lifetime chance to hear the Dalai Lama speak. I got up early and got in line 2 hours before the gates open so that I could get close seats to see him and feel his wisdom. I made it. But was told that I couldn't sit in certain sections because those sections were reserved for 'non-Vietnamese' people. The website stated that seats will be at a first come first served basis. I was turned away and told to go else where because I am Vietnamese. Even the Vietnamese elderly were told that if they sit in this section, security would come and escort them away. I have never felt more ashamed to be Vietnamese. I have never felt more saddened that anyone would treat anyone else like this. The world famous Dalai Lama speaks of humanity. But the fact this temple had segregated seating areas goes against everything that he speaks of. The Dalai Lama speaks of his hopes of world peace and harmony. But how can we harmonize in segregation? I understand that this was the temple's first time hosting an event of this magnitude and lack the experience it takes for a smooth turn out. But I am disheartened by the disrespect and the mistreatment that this Vietnamese temple gave its own people.

Yelp
The Master here is the most generous holy man you could imagine. Comments to the contrary here are silly and irrational. It is the selfish people who get everything free and pay back nothing that make these ridiculous gripes. His entire staff reflects this this kind of thought and conduct. People donate so many tireless hours of volunteer work, food and money to this Temple to fulfill the Master's wishes and the needs of others. Avoid your selfish comments and soak up the spirit of the Master.

Yelp
Love this temple. Big event, the Holy Dalai Lama 14th will be at the temple on June 18 & June 19, go to the temple to ask for free tickets while supplies last.

Yelp
This is the only temple that is spacious inside and outside of the facility. Others temple has limited of parking because it's located next to a busy main street. This temple, is located in a residential area where'd parking is not limited and , if parking is limited around the temple, there's more parking down the same street where walking distant is not too bad. Plus, the school near by allowed temple goer to park on their parking lots too.

Yelp
This is a vietnamese buddhist temple . It's a place where you can pray and visit if you are in town. The main hall is spacious with a golden plated buddha at center. Although it's not elaborate on decorations but it gives a peaceful sense. This temple is very welcoming plus great food on weekends. The venerables are attentive to anyone's questions .

Yelp
When my father passed away, the monks from this temple came to pray for him, without asking for any fee like other places. The master monk here was very very kind and honest to us about all the rituals we had to do for the funeral as well as after the funeral for almost 1 year. They also kindly told us that they will surely keep my father's urn safely, as long as we still need them to keep in their temple. The monks there are always willing to help, and suggest the best recommendation for our situations. We usually went to hear speeches here on Saturdays. He gave very meaningful, and short speeches as well. I really like the environment here. They also make great vege foods for lunch after the speeches as well. Great place for Buddhism worshipers.

Yelp
At this beautiful Temple and celebration of the $6M renovation and expansion dedicated by his Holiness the 14th Dalia Lama, we were offered a talk and the Medicine Buddha Initiation. I was taken by the generosity of being offered breakfast, lunch, cake and the many people loving gathered for this event I will never forget. Traveled from AZ to be here and then 3 days later in SLC, Utah for his Holiness speaking again at the University of Utah, SLC, how fortunate I am!

Yelp
The Buddhist events organized at this temple are pretty much similar to those at other Buddhist temples in Orange County. One thing I like about Buddhism is you're not obligated to attend or go to the temple every weekend. Although I made my vows to follow the five precepts and became an 'official' Buddhist, I just can't manage weekly or twice-a-month praying sessions; however, I've been attending big praying events for Lunar New Year, Le Phat Dan, Le Vu Lan. I'm still learning to understand Buddhism. Dieu Ngu temple is under construction. I figured it would be hectic and crowded on the date the Honorable Dalai Lama was present; so I did not plan to come. I missed the Dalai Lama and the event, but I did not feel bad because I had met the Dalai Lama at Long Beach Convention Center some years ago. That day I had to arrive early, got in line and waited for one hour to get inside and be seated as first-come first-sit. I was very closed to the stage. It was a very spiritual, interesting, wisdom-discovered lecture! I felt blessed and heartened on my way home and after. I enjoy going to Hsi Li temple for Lunar New Year praying session and different Buddhist temples in OC for other events and attending lectures (thuyet phap) for topics I like. Love and Cheers to everyone, Buddhists and non-Buddhists :-)

Yelp
Chua Dieu Ngu is a Vietnamese Buddhist Temple. It is a very small one building temple but what they lack in size makes it up with their amazing vegetarian vietnamese cooking offerings that is available for sale during the weekends. They offer 6 traditional vietnamese noodle dishes likes Bun Rieu (a vermicelli with egg and tomato soup base); Bun Hue (a traditional spicy beef vermicelli noodle soup but this vegetarian version is just amazingly tasty and flavor is nice and robust) and But Cha Gio (traditional vermicelli noodle with egg rolls) plus another 3 dish which I could not remember. Parking is a bit limited here but there are plenty of street parking since it is located in an industrial area. Although a Buddhist temple is not the first place you would think to go for some delicious food but in this case, their vietnamese vegetarian cooking is pretty stunning and tasty. We will definitely come back for more the next time we are in town.

Yelp
unlike other big temples where they seem very "business like", this temple is quiet, feels very sacred and a good place to learn Buddhism.
