CHUCHINI Amazon Wildlife Nature Reserve & Eco Lodge, Trinidad

What an amazing one in a life-time experience it was to stay in this beautiful eco-lodge run by sweet Miriam and her husband and their professional team. We spent 3 nights there and could not have wished for the better experience. In those 4 days we saw so much of jungle flora and fauna: caymans, capybaras as well as so many types of colourful birds. The highlight for us was seeing gracious PINK DOLPHINS. The whole organization was impeccable, everything ran smoothly, all activities whether in the jungle forest or on the river were very interesting and very well planned. Our guide Ronco with whom we did most of the tours was absolutely amazing: he spoke fluent English and always provided informative background information about plants and wildlife. He always went an extra mile in accommodating our requests for photos, for adjusting the route or any other requests we had. He is just a very kind positive person. We also really enjoyed super delicious home made dishes including various options for vegetarians, all made from the best local produce: we especially loved fresh juices from the local fruit. Oh man, they were so delicious and so natural. A big thank you to lovely Miriam for managing this lodge and synchronising the work of all her staff so well. Everything runs like a Swiss clock at this place. This place really stands out for the hospitality and for having a really personalised, family like, service. No crowds here, one can enjoy the peaceful nature without being disturbed by numerous tourist groups which is very often the case in Rurrenabaque. We are so happy that we chose Chuchini near Trinidad in Beni as the place to experience Bolivian Amazon Jungle. Highly recommended to anyone who values quality, personalised service and a super friendly service without the crowds for the fair price. Miriam and Ibis ARE THE BEST!! They are so respectful, kind and funny. They make the experience at Chuchini what it is. I with I could give them 6/5 stars. The wildlife reservation is one of the coolest places I’ve been on the planet 🤯 Be prepared to fall in love with the Amazon jungle and learn about the beautiful animals there! The food they provide is incredible (some of the best I had in Bolivia) and the lodging is so fun (being in the middle of the jungle). LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place 🫶🏼

We had an amazing time from start to finish during our stay at Chuchini. Miriam, Efrem & the entire team made us feel so welcome. They were so lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. A range of fun activities were planned out for our stay to see all the incredible wildlife in the area. We had a great guide, Ronco, who was so knowledgeable and passionate. Super comfy lodge and plenty of time to relax after adventures. The food was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend this tour!

I glad I chose Trinidad and Chuchini over Rurrenabaque and it’s over touristed tour agencies. I received a very personalised experience from the first moment I made contact with Miriam. She is so good, nothing was a problem for her in organising my stay in the jungle. My schedule didn’t allow me to wait and join others so I had a one on one three day tour at Chuchini. Miriam choreographed everything from a preferred bus company (ITA bus) o/night ticket suggestion from Santa Cruz, accommodation choice in Trinidad, pick up, suggestions for onward travel including help in booking air tickets and more… Then the three days with tour guide Ronnie was fact filled, he is patient and caring in explaining the flora and fauna and can spot animals and birds with his experienced eye. He has almost three decades of guiding experience in the Amazon so knows his stuff. The meals and hospitality were superb. I was introduced to new dishes and tastes daily. The fishing for piranha is an experience in itself and the nocturnal tour with Ronnie and Miriam’s husband where you can get close with caiman is educational. Then there’s the pink dolphins, the archeological importance of the whole ecolodge site, the bird diversity…… I recommend the Chuchini experience wholeheartedly.

I spent 4 days/ 3 nights here and had a really great time! The place is quite remote and it feels like being in the middle of nature. You can do walking tours, horse riding, there is a night tour to watch and if you are lucky, even catch Caimans! (Don't worry, they are not harmed and released after a few minutes of explanations.) On another excursion, you can watch pink river dolphins, you can fish for piranhas, and much more! The owners of the reserve really care about the place and the animals and are eager to teach you about the ecosistem of the bolivian Amazonia and are always open for any type of questions! And last but not least, you don't have to worry about staying hungry, the food is tasty and there is always more than enough! I 100% recommend a visit! They also include transport from and to the airport or the bus terminal in Trinidad.

Fantastic experience. What a service!!! You get a fantastic combination of the real wildlife and good sleeping options free from mostquitos. Lovely staff and real genuin people working here. The food was some of the best i’ve tasted while in bolivia. Would recommend and definitely do it again!!

I have spent 5D/4N in this nature paradise. The animals and birds, the trees and forest, the jungle sounds and smells, and the friendly, caring staff all made this a memory I will cherish forever.

I had the most amazing time here. Miriam and Ibis (and of course the rest of the staff) are so helpful and friendly. A warm welcome, great tours, delicious food and loads of domesticated and wild animals in the vicinity. I would have loved to stay a few extra days! Also great and easy Communication and organisation before arrival!
