Google
My maps says it is temporarily closed but their website says open daily 7a-10p. Stopped here to do some laundry on a road trip. Very clean and cool store. Deli/bakery was nice spot to wait while my laundry ran. Staff were pleasant.

The general store is pretty convenient. Its clean and organized. The deli is amazing. I had a breakfast burrito 2 days in a row, delish! Everyone is so friendly (very genuine). Especially the girls at the deli. They were wonderful. The chuck wagon lodge and general store is a full package deal.

Google
Incredibly well stocked store of deli, camping supplies, frozen and chilled items, hats, OTC medicines etc. Easily the best well-stocked small town store I have found! There is even a laundromat attached. If you are in the area, THIS is the place to find just about anything you'd need. Super impressed with the depth and breadth of the items here!

If you’re hungry and in Torrey this is your place! The deli offers something for everyone and the food is fast, fabulous and fresh! The club and chicken Caesar wraps were generous - enough to share. The tortellini salad was delicious and make sure you save room for dessert! The deli is in the back of the general store which is well stocked. Definitely recommend!

Google
Fantastic little market/deli. We had two sandwiches that were made to perfection! Absolutely delicious and very fresh! Price was very reasonable and service was exceptional! Do yourself a favor and STOP HERE for lunch!

Google
Great place to grab breakfast before heading into the park. We had the breakfast burrito and a bagel sandwich with ham, cheese and scrambled eggs. Both were very good and big enough to get you through a day in capital reef

They have fresh fruit and vegetables. Plus the homemade French bread is delicious. Everything we needed. Such a good find in the small town of Torrey ❤️

Google
Not bad. Basic groceries, decent selection, a little overpriced but that was to be expected considering the location and the fact there’s not much else for miles. However, the reason for only 2 stars was the service. I don’t expect much, but the guy at the counter was outright rude for no reason to me and some others in front of me. Someone politely asked a question, and he became very irritated for some reason. Also, he ignored most of the tourists in line to allow locals to skip ahead and talk to him for a bit while we just waited there in confusion. Hopefully this was just someone having a bad day or a disgruntled employee.

Yelp
As part of a caravan, we left Moab and arrived in Torrey sightseeing along the way. Torrey is a quaint tiny town outside Canyonlands National Park... and tonight is my turn make dinner. Thank goodness there are groceries here! Raw meats include chicken thighs, drumsticks, ground beef, some steaks... wish I thought of taking a pic to post here. Boneless skinless chicken thighs prepackaged and frozen, 1.25 pounds, $4.95. To feed 15 people I bought six packs of them. For a country store, a reasonable but small selection of fresh produce including most of the basics. And if you need any small supplies for your RV, pantry items, paper products, souvenirs, it's all here.

Yelp
Ordered a lunch box. No meat, no cheese and dry bread. Of course we were on a trip and no chance to go back. Only lettuce, tomato and mayo. The orange was all dried up and hard. The bagged chips & cookie were good.

Yelp
This is a delightful spot to grab some homemade deli food, pie and the like. We took a chance on the potato salad and it was fresh & scrumptious. It was unusual for us in that it included pickles and sour cream but it was a nice change. We took a gamble and won with the coconut cream pie as it was delicious as well. Note that there are many other fresh bakery items that appeared tantalizing. This is a great place to grab breakfast and a sandwich before heading out for the day to explore the park. There is a small area to eat in there and a general store where you can find premade commercially made frozen meals, etc. as well as souvenirs.

Yelp
This is a very small general store with limited selection. Their produce was all past it's prime. They boast of having a bakery with homemade goods, but all of their bread was full of high fructose corn syrup. All of this would be forgivable, however, if they had better service. I bought a loaf of their bread, among a few other items. The cashier bagged it with my other items, and on the walk to my car, which was parked directly in front of the store, the loaf got completely smashed. I went back in and asked to exchange it, but the cashier refused, and was utterly unsympathetic in the process. Her rationale was that it couldn't be sold again, and the store would loose money. While those are probably true, I also lost money buying a loaf of bread that was too smashed to make a sandwich. It would have been nice for the store to take responsibility, since they had bagged the bread. If I had bagged it, or stepped on it, or otherwise been responsible for smashing it, then I could understand the response. In short, do your shopping before you get to town. I love supporting small local businesses, even when it means dealing with limitations. It doesn't feel good to shop at a local businesses that treats their customers poorly.

Yelp
This review is primarily for the cafe inside the general store. Really cute cafe with great breakfast and lunch options. You can get a nice sandwich lunch to go with added fruit, water, large cookie and chips. Very fresh sandwiches that you can order even the evening before. The breakfast is also good and the seating area modern big cute. We came here for three of our meals.

Yelp
Deli sandwiches are basic and substandard. Better to visit Subway down the street. I know... Store products are expansive yet super expensive. Jerky $20, at the gas station $16.99. Everything follows as such. Hotel is posted as pet friendly but it's not. They will not ask if you have a pet and then illegally charge you $50 days later. Laundry is allowed to the general public but dirty, dirt filled washing machines are ever present for everyone passing through that have no care or respect. Showers are low water pressure and $13 per 10 min. Pass. Super busy, has everything you probably need, just choose discretely.

Yelp
Cute place to pull in and stop after leaving Capitol Reef NP. Very clean gift shop and deli with good food!! They even have a little grocery/produce section to restock on fresh road trip items. Bathrooms inside are for paying customers only, but also very clean. Portable toilets available outback as well.

Yelp
This place is exactly as expected and does it very well. It is a barebones lunch counter in the back of a convenience store. We had breakfast there. I had great "stick to your ribs" biscuits and gravy and an egg over easy. BF decided to get fancy with danishes. Yea...mistake. Stick to simple diner fare and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This was one of the only stores open until 10PM and was out saving grace as we were looking for something sweet. They have amazing pies in the back! I got the banana cream pie and even came back the next day for a coconut cream pie. They also had berry, chocolate and various cakes. Yum! Highly recommend if you are looking for a treat.

Yelp
Average experience, it was a deli in a country store. One cool thing is they do boxed lunches, sandwich, chips, drink, cookie. It took almost 20 minutes before kitchen staff came to counter to take orders & there was a line of 5 other people behind me. $8 for a turkey sandwich on rye with bag of chips and a quarter of a pickle. It was average, nothing special, small layer of sliced turkey, no lettuce, bacon was cold. Crazy price for what you get. Have to leave the deli & go to cashier in country store to pay.

Yelp
Was out early on Thanksgiving day to enjoy a few nearby roads and just needed a real quick snack before heading home. Chuck Wagon General was open and fully staffed until the early afternoon for anyone needing their last minute groceries. Turns out they had a little deli/sandwich shop in the back which was open so I grabbed a sandwich which came with a bag of chips. I got the BLT since it's usually a safe bet and I assumed with it being Thanksgiving they might be a little understaffed or rushing to get everything finished and closed for the day. I was pleasantly surprised when the BLT was tasty and on really nice bread plus it was made to order rather than a pre-made sandwich. The service was fantastic too.

Yelp
Great little grocery store for a small town! Picked up some sandwich staples for exploring Capitol Reef NP. Nice variety. Four stars for nice selection in a small town.

Misty L.

Yelp
Had everything we needed and a laundry place too. Good selection of beer. Nice and friendly service. Little lunch place in the back.

Yelp
I would avoid this place due to their hygiene practices. The customers were all wearing masks when I visited yesterday. The clerk was not. And there was no way to get our food and leave except to stand within 2-3 feet of her as she chatted amicably, but without a mask. Covid is in this county. The management of this store seems remiss. I'll go back, but only after the epidemic is largely under control.

Yelp
Great place. We were on a 5 day off road motorcycle ride and needed gloves . They had them at a great price.

Yelp
Best burger I've had! I highly recommend them they defiantly know what they are doing!!

Yelp
We didn't stay in the hotel so I can't speak to their rooms but what a great little general store. We ate there for breakfast two mornings (the smells coming from the bakery when the doors open at 7am are AMAZING) and got snacks/beer there two nights. I found the selection to be better than expected, the prices to be reasonable and the staff very friendly.

Yelp
Ordered the egg and cheese burrito with bacon. The burrito was huge, but it was 90% egg. There was only one small strip of bacon and cheese. It would have been better to have a smaller burrito so you could taste the bacon and cheese. Also ordered a doughnut, it was okay.

Yelp
The best one stop shop! Homemade breakfast and the kindest individuals in town! This general store has everything you need for a weekend at the reef!

Kim M.

Yelp
So glad we stopped here on the drive through so we had provisions for our stops and hikes between here and Moab. We bought cheeses, meats, rolls, fruit, coleslaw, yogurt from the deli and store that kept us happy through the rest of the day. We added our items to our cooler in the car and they were perfect several hours later.

Yelp
The little deli in the back of the General Store is a hidden gem. The breakfast food rocks and the coffee delicious. (Coffee is free if you are staying on their premises.). We came back for breakfast the next day because of the quality and price. Seating is limited, but we found a spot both times. There is outside seating as well. Sack lunches made there are good and convenient to take out for daily hiking.
