Chuck Wagon Lodge

When you first view the Chuckwagon Lodge, it looks rustic and old. While not new at all, they do a good job keeping up the rooms. Our room was large with a shower/tub combo and the toilet squeezed in next to it. The sink, outside the shower area, had plenty of counter space. Initially, the TV did not function, but Bob in the office told me how to quickly reset the TV. The bed was comfortable. An overhead light would have been nice, but the room had many lamps. The motel offers what is needed for a few day visit to the national park just a couple miles down the road. The next door deli has a nice, but small menu, which can be supplemented by fruit, yogurt, etc at its attached small market. The motel and deli workers have a great attitude, which lends to the positive experience.

The Chuck Wagon Lodge is a clean, well-located motel that was a pleasure to stay in. I stayed in one of the modern rooms and was happy with the updates other than the toilet which needed to be tightened (it wobbled whenever I sat on it). Service was friendly on arrival and they gave us an actual key to our room which was charming. There was also a food truck (Capitol Burger) that would park nearby which made meals easy (the Chuck Wagon also had its own food options). Wifi was unusable for our entire stay. We'd be able to connect to it, but there was no actual internet connectivity available. If we hadn't had unlimited cellular data this would have been a real pain, as there is very little service in Torrey and the surrounding areas.

Absolutely loved this quaint little lodge. Everyone was so friendly and gave us good tips of where to go and what to do. The cabin we stayed in was clean and perfect for what we needed. It was so nice to have the deli and store there with the lodge. They have pretty much anything you need. A food truck (Capitol Burger) came and parked there of an evening. It was the best burgers! I would say this is the best place to stay in Torrey!

Beautiful little place only steps from Capitol Reef National Park. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are tidy and clean. General Store is quaint with sundries you might need. Coffee was included for us and I chose a latte from a machine and it was great! I would absolutely recommend. Also the nice desk clerk recommended some restaurants and we chose a Mexican place up the street which was awesome too. Thanks ACWM!!

We just finished with our one night stay and loved this quaint little lodge. It’s a bit older, but has been updated. The young man that checked us in was very nice. Evidently, they own the little market, and the deli as well, which was very nice and very convenient for us to go to. And they also offered free coffee and cocoa from the deli. Had a breakfast there as well, and it was very good, reasonably priced. So glad we found that quaint little lodge. Hope to be there again someday.

We’ve stayed at the Chuck Wagon in beautiful Torrey Utah for decades. I can’t say enough about the property, the service and the staff. When we arrived our room was cool and clean. It’s the perfect place to use as a hub for Capital Reef,Fish Lake, Escalante, Boulder Mountain and so much more. Don’t let this little jewel escape you if you’re going to be in central Utah. Or better yet just make it your destination.

I've been staying at the Chuck Wagon Lodge off and on for over a decade. This last stay was the same. A nice, clean bedroom and bath. Quiet. The Lodge is set back from the road which isn't very busy at night. The generous lawn and property is surrounded by 40' trees that have a cooling effect. There's a pool, hot tub, restaurant, shop, grocery store, laundromat. It's a family owned business and the love shows it.

Awesome value for money! I was in town for a wedding and it was great being right on Main Street. There’s an affordable restaurant and well-stocked grocery attached to the hotel which is super convenient. Plus was pleasantly surprised to learn about the hot tub and pool.
