This place is great. It's a small place and the rooms are a little dated BUT they are comfortable and well laid out. There's a nice sitting area on the common balcony.
The deli has great breakfasts and lunches and lunches to go for the trail. There's also a general store in site.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Beat of all, you can't beat the location.
I'd definitely stay here again.

The Chuckwagon in Torrey was a great place for us to stay. We had a 2 bedroom cabin with a kitchenette. It was older, but it was clean. We were lucky to have the General Store and bakery/deli on site. They made a filling box lunch with a sandwich of our choosing. There was also a laundromat on site that some people took advantage of. The Capitol Burger food truck sits in the parking lot most nights, also. We heard it had fantastic food! Cute town with a lot of charm. Nice cabin overall with lots of amenities on site.|

This motel is in a good location for visiting Capitol Reef and surrounding parks. The room was showing a bit of wear but was clean and fairly comfy. The woman who checked us in was very nice and efficient. Our only complaint would be how incredibly loud the bathroom fan was; that was annoying. But we slept fine and it worked for a place to stay while traveling and hiking--not really exceptional but far from awful.

This place was great. It was clean. It was in great location. There was a store and small restaurant in front. They had everything you could need . You could get breakfast. They also offered packed lunches to take on your hike. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was right down the road to Capital Reef. Best place for star gazing. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Would stay again

We were traveling with our toddler and it was an amazing place to stay! Very quiet and clean rooms made for a great night of rest on our road trip. Everyone there was very friendly, we got a call from the owner before we got there explaining how our check in would go since we were arriving later than expected. Plenty of space for our toddler to run around and burn off some energy before getting back in the car. Gorgeous place. The general store in front is also pretty fun and has what you need.

Our family of four had a one-night stay during an 18 day road trip. The rooms were cute and clean. The lodge was literally a stones throw from the general store. The store was stocked with everything and also had a great deli. There was a refreshing pool on site and a Trading Post across the street. Bill, the manager who made the reservation is a really nice guy and very easy to talk with. The lodge was an easy drive to and from Capitol Reef NP. Definitely worth a stay!
I have recently edited this review. I have waited two weeks since checking out to hear from the owner Jamie. I left three messages during that time with no response. My words from the original post have not changed and are accurate but my family is very disappointed in the lack of accountability and follow-up from owner regarding the quality control and safety of the hot tub. This information was temporarily omitted from the original post because we were waiting for an answer of why the bromine/chlorine levels were so high that bleached my wife and my bathing suits. Besides the destruction of our garments, it left an itchy rash on our teenage daughters legs (which on lasted a few hours). A quick call or clarification could have helped us understand what happened but there was no response from Jaime. His silence is saddening and unprofessional.

This hotel was just what I needed , a clean, safe , and quiet motel close to Capitol Reef National Park. The desk clerk was very welcoming and recommended a local Mexican restaurant for dinner. his advice was spot on. If you find yourself in Torrey and need a room, this would be a good choice .

The towering cottonwood trees create a cooling ambience in the desert. Although in June the cotton is blowing!
This place is obviously well run. Lovely shaded grounds and the pool and hot tub a bonus!
The rooms are very very clean (although a bit dated that doesn't bother me). Beds and bedding were very very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well and we were not bothered by its white noise.
Coffee and tea are free in the store and deli on the grounds where you can also pick up breakfast and lunch. We loved our in town location while exploring Capitol Reef!
Our group of seven gals were nicely situated in adjacent 4 rooms on the top floor. Appreciated this.
The free coffee/ tea etc in the on site general store is great, but only available/open after 7 AM.
