I had their homestyle burger, and it was so flavourful. They get their beef locally in Alberta, and they use real cheese. It was delicious, and so worth the stop. It is a busy spot, locals frequent it, and the staff are so friendly. It has a wonderful small town cowboy feel that makes you feel at home. Come prepared to wait, but don't worry it won't be long. They offer specials, and they keep your water full.

This is the small town cafe with big city prices. A chicken and bacon BLT on a brioche bun with fries was $25. Was it good? Yes, it was quite good actually. Crispy hand cut fries were served in a very large portion. Service was fast and polite but I don't think I'd go as far to say that it was friendly. The interior is dark and has some kind of Western motif I guess. Mostly it just looks cluttered and a bit dirty. All of that being said, I got there shortly before noon and the place was packed but they did find a seat for me at the counter. So obviously the locals support this place which is great. Overall, for me, I'd give it a four out of five. I'd say it's definitely worth a try if you're passing through diamond valley.

Google
Great vibes , food and service The only thing I wish was it were open a little bit longer each day. The staff are outstanding. Today I went in for breakfast with the girls and had some Prime Alberta beef eggs Benedict which I didn't get to eat because my daughters stole it all it was that good. And I was left with their pancakes. They were also delicious and quite large so we had more than enough to eat.. This is quite a popular place so be sure to allow yourself a little extra time. This was my first time there and it was my daughters that saw something online tiktok. Proving that the staff are definitely the star of the show !! Would definitely recommend the drive-in from anywhere in Alberta really. They have had people in as far as Texas !!!

Google
Always a great meal. I had the steak Benny, the hollandaise was perfect, as usual. Steak was cooked just right. Real potato hash browns we tasty. Great little drive to get here too.

If you want a light meal don't eat here. They do have a varied menu that all sounds lovely but we settled on burgers. She had the regular burger which was excellent while I chose the House Burger. Big mistake. Cheese, bacon, mushrooms, onion. It was disgustingly excellent, the best burger I've ever had. Fortunately we just missed out on the last slice of Banana cream pie because I was already overly full. Service was excellent and everyone very friendly.

Google
Wonderful spot. Saw their videos on tik tok and everything looked so good. Had to check it out on the way through town. The steak and eggs Benny was very good. Decent portions for the price. The staff were incredibly on the ball and friendly. Would definitely pop in again to try the rest of the menu

We stopped by here after a long road trip in the mountains. . Great food, seasoned by traditionally cool vibe and memorable hospitality was comforting. We will definitely go back.

Google
The sign on the door says, "Come In. We are Awesome." And they are. Everyone in our group of 9 received their brunch meal within a few minutes of each other, and everyone was delighted with their choices, which included burgers, bennies, and scrambles. The server was a happy warrior. Will definitely go again when in Calgary - and the drive down to Diamond Valley is lovely.

Yelp
Our friends Brenda and Dean were such gracious hosts while we were in Calgary for the Christmas holiday and raved about the Chuckwagon Cafe as their favorite go-to breakfast spot, and no wonder this place was filled to capacity and very popular with the locals and surely we would have never known about it had it not been for our friends recommendation! While, yes off the beaten path, we strongly recommend Chuckwagon Cafe for either breakfast or lunch!, it's definately with the effort to make the trek out to the countryside. The portions were huge and prepared so very fresh, all four of us were completely pleased. Service couldn't have been better and my coffee never got cold nor was my cup ever empty! Next time we make it to Calgary, I can't wait to go back, and oh by the way be sure to leave room for pie, lots of fresh ones to choose from but we had the flapper, never having one before, I'd go back just for that! Never heard of it, well I'm not going to tell ya what is was just shared a picture with ya, so you gotta go and try it for yourself :-) Thanks for such a memorable meal Chuckwagon Staff!

Yelp
I made it to the Chuckwagon Cage here in Turner Valley, Alberta! Quick backstory...last year I discovered this Chuckwagon Cafe through TikTok. During my explorations of the Canadian Rockies, I posted a bunch of content around the area and TikTok kept suggesting this charming little mom and pop restaurant. And, lol, everyone knows when you become addicted on TikTok, you keep swiping up to view more and more videos and the Chuckwagon Cafe kept coming up and up and up! And finally, it was only fitting that I had to start following this restaurant. The person behind the scenes of this TikTok greatness is Susan, and her posts are funny and always have me smiling. So I thought...well, this year I'm returning to Calgary to do more exploring, why not actually visit the real Chuckwagon Cafe! And here I am, lol, it's like out of a storybook. I view Susan and the waitresses who join in on the TikTok fun as celebrities. They carry out the food and plates and are smiling and dancing. The mood is infectious and the posts are playful. I visited on a Saturday in mid June. It was actually on Father's Day weekend. They open at 8am daily and close at 2pm. Everyday till only 2pm is kind of early in my opinion, which only allows for 6 business hours. I arrived at 10am and there was a long line with a 45 minute wait. At least when I put my name down, they handed me a beeper that vibrates when there's an available table. Inside the restaurant, it's pretty small so I can understand when the crowds come, the waiting starts real fast. Since it was just myself eating, I agreed to sit at the bar stool section, which was fine by me because all of the TikTok's happen from the bar area. Here's where some disappointment set in...Susan doesn't work weekends! I wanted to introduce myself. I told her in the comments section of her recent TikTok that I was coming over the weekend and she hit the "like" button. She could have mentioned she wouldn't be there. Lol, I was hoping to create a TikTok post with her and the crew, hehehe. Oh well, I guess I had to exit the fantasy world I was living in. Anyhow, all the familiar waitresses were still around and the girl who served me was recognizable. I asked her when do they do the TikTok's, and she said only when Susan is there. Plus, they were so busy on this Saturday morning that there wasn't much time for small talk. Still, the waitress happily engaged with me and we had a few good laughs. As I reflect back on the visit and experience, I should have asked for a photo with the staff as a little keepsake for having driven 3000 miles across North America to arrive here. Instead, just too much happening and way too crowded. Chuckwagon Cafe is an old fashioned diner throwback in time. It's like you're sitting inside a cattle ranch saloon in the heart of the old west. It's that type of setting that is the trademark appearance of the restaurant, from my POV. Quick talk about the food... The portion sizes are huge. I took half my dish to eat for later on. Because portion sizes are tremendous, that means prices are elevated as well. I ordered "Scotty's Scramble" with eggs, ham, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and cheese for $19.99. It came with my choice of sourdough toast and hashbrowns. The scramble was good and the hashbrowns were seasoned well. But for me I was starstruck, like a deer in headlights, lol. I was content just people watching and seeing what the staff and employees were doing. I actually think I lost my appetite because everything was happening so fast and I couldn't collect my thoughts. But with the joint being so packed and my seat valuable to other customers, it was just the wrong day and time to visit. And funny, when I look back on Susan's TikTok's, the place is usually empty. I would have been much better served stopping by midday during the week. Oh well, who knows, maybe I'll return someday. In the end, thank you Chuckwagon Cafe for having me regardless. It was still a surreal experience to be here.

Yelp
My husband and I just happened to stumble across this place from our drive to Glacier from Banff. I ordered the blueberry pancakes and he ordered the steak and eggs. Both were absolutely delicious. We also had a wonderful waitress. I don't remember her name, but she was so nice we thought she was the owner. Come to find out, she was not but told us that she had been a waitress there for over 20 years. She was very nice and probably one of the best waitresses I've ever had. You must stop by this place.

Yelp
I've seen the girls of the chuckwagon cafe on TikTok a few times. And I knew I would be traveling from California to Alberta and I put them in my Radar. Well this morning was the day. 1,800 miles and a few bugs inky teeth ( on my motorcycle) I arrived! It was absolutely great food and the service was top notch. The next time my road Atlas takes me thru Turner valley. I will definitely pull up a chair.

Yelp
Really friendly quiant little cafe/restaurant in Turner valley. Everything here looks delicious! All the plates I observed went back to the kitchen to join the clean plate club! (No leftovers) so either all who come here are Hungary or the food is great. I honestly would come back if I was in the area.

Tanner B.

Yelp
Everyone I was with loved their food! Amazing bang for your buck. I had the salmon omelette which was amazing and had way more salmon than I expected. Service was beyond expectations, probably the best I've ever had especially for a packed restaurant!

Yelp
The food we had was excellent. French toast, steak and eggs as well as the Benny, amazing. The staff were super friendly and the vibe is really quaint and home grown sort of vibe. 100% will be back. Worth the drive.

Doris G.

Yelp
We are new to Turner Valley, we have been here a year. We take all our friends and family here when they visit. However, this last time was very disappointing. A change in the menu. No longer serving the Flat Iron eggs benedict. So I ordered the traditional ham Benedict, it was sliced sandwich meat ( really) . No back bacon. So expensive. Won't be back.

Yelp
Great breakfast! Fast service and small town/homey ambiance Will definitely go back!

Yelp
Giddy up partner! Yahoo! These is great bottles. The burger was awesome. The best of all was the beef barley soup. I have not had soup like this ever. Don't tell my wife but it is even better than hers!

Yelp
This is maybe the most interesting restaurant I've ever been to. I spent the entire time just looking at all the tack and other horse related gear on the wall. The "decorations" could probably be cleaned more often but it was definitely cool to look at. The staff were all super nice and the food came out relatively quick. The plates were pretty massive and I was pretty happy to have chosen the smaller portion of the breakfast burrito. The potatoes were awesome and if I wasn't so full from the "small" burrito I would have wanted more. This place is apparently known for their Benedicts so if you are a fan you should check it out.

Yelp
IF OVERCHARGED YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK! Stopped in to order 3 burgers, large fries to go and paid for it, we went to a nearby park to eat and reviewed the receipt and saw it was 69.00 (they do not break the bill out just a total) we went back to ask about the high amount and they charged us for four burgers, they refused to give us our money back! They offered a burger, we said no, they offered pie and coffee and we said no, they finally offered a gift certificate, but like what the heck is that kind of way to run a business!!! So disappointing and I will definitely be telling everyone and then some what a shady restaurant this is I gave one star because you can't post without a rating

Felicity L.

Yelp
Always a great meal with excellent service. Well worth a drive to Turner Valley. Breakfast is served all day and their home baked bread is a real treat (try the sourdough!)

Yelp
So much yes. I stayed in Calgary for a weekend with my hubs for our anniversary. We love to drive so the natural thing for us to do for breakfast was to take a drive, and see what we could find. My husband and I ended up in Turner Valley at Chuckwagon Cafe. The building itself is something to see! We were pretty distracted looking around, so it seemed like we stuck out like sore thumbs. We were welcomed warmly, and told that we would have a great experience. We sure as heck did! Husband got the Eggs Benny, and I got just a classic breakfast with eggs, meat, and toast. OH SO GOOD. I mean, breakfast is good any time, but Chuckwagon does it right! Coffee flowing, hot fresh food. Yup, we made a good choice here!

Yelp
Seriously worth the drive from surrounding cities!! I was visiting my friend and she brought me here. The huevos rancheros is awesome!!! And, the menu options are plentiful, my friend had steak eggs Benny. The potatoes are real and perfectly seasoned. The eggs were cooked to just right and the flavor combinations are incredible!! If you can eat here do it. This place is definitely family friendly and good for friends but would not suggest for a date. It is very country western. Features horses and cowboy paintings and country music cds for sale. But, even if you don't like country you have to eat here! They have a wide variety of Bennie's but the steak is the best according to most people. But, I really suggest you have the Huevos Rancheros!! There is a large parking lot and the wait times were reasonable. Also, really appreciated that they had a good toast selection.

Morgan P.

Yelp
Ranchman breakfast was excellent I love the food the people are great very kind and prompt to getting your order for you I would certainly be back for more.

Yelp
The true test of any cafe is their pie, which I unfortunately didn't have room for after the lunch I ate at Chuckwagon Cafe yesterday. What filled me up instead was the Grown Up Grilled Cheese with home made fries. The grilled cheese is made with a blend of cheddar, monterey jack and mozzarella with shaved ham and grilled mushrooms. You see now why I was too full for pie? Oh my goodness! My lunch mates had similar meals, but with the beef barley soup, also warm, comforting and filling like the sandwich. The cafe is decorated with old Alberta photos and artefacts, complete with southern Alberta small town hospitality and service. I'll keep you posted on the pie.

Yelp
Awesome place super cool modern vibe in the store despite the name I would compair the inside to maybe a nyc night club definitely a place to go if you want to hear some of the best edm music in foot hills county the bouncer bill can be a bit harsh but always had a good selection of product , would 150% recommend chunckeagon cafe for your next night out

Yelp
cute little place, with lots of rustic charm. the lineup when we got there was LONG, but thankfully there were 2 seats at the counter that nobody wanted, so we were able to sit right away. Overheard the waitress telling people the wait was about 45 minutes. I had the house burger which came loaded with fried onions, bacon & cheese, and it was really good. service was friendly and fast, and even if we would have had to wait in line, it would have been worth it!
google avatar

Ty M.

Yelp
I always order egg Benedict for brunch, and most of the restaurants only offer smoked salmon / ham / asparagus. But here, I can order triple A steak benedict! And I can only have 1/2 order! Oh!!! and the bottom is fresh made croissant!!! love it !!! the first time I went was a lunch time so long wait, but last weekend I was there around 2:30pm, so I only waited for 10 min.

Gail F.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast! Excellent staff! Our dining experience was enhanced by the kind and attentive server.

Yelp
After spending a few hours wandering around the Millarville Fair we decided to hop over to Turner Valley for a lunch at the Chuckwagon Cafe. After a 20 minute wait we were seated inside the authentically charming, western themed restaurant. Three of us opted for breakfast items and my husband went for their specialty burger. The omelettes and pancakes were good but the burger was the absolute stand out. Apparently the cafe raises their own beef cattle so the farm-to-table concept is in evidence here. My husband has eaten his fair share of burgers and he said it was probably the best that he has ever eaten. The service we received was so-so and the restaurants limited hours are a definite drag.
google avatar

Tom B.

Yelp
Excellent service. Great chow. With a group of 14 and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Really good pies. Just a heads up- they put sweet relish on their burgers unless you say not. Yuck for me
google avatar

Yelp
This little barn is full of Alberta cowboy charm. It's a good ol' place where friends gather for some awesome food. The rustic décor, the down home feel, and the it's in a barn! Perfect southern charm! Everyone in here is incredibly friendly. We came in a group of ten, which steadily grew to twelve, then fourteen, and finally eighteen! Each time the waitress added a table until it felt like we took over half the restaurant. Needless to say, they were incredibly accommodating; just like the cowboy charm they were going for. The food is great too. I ordered the steak and eggs because what else can be more cowboy like than that? And it was delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly and lightly seasoned to go with the hash and eggs. My wife got the smoked hash and said it was wonderful. Out of everything our group got, the burger seemed to be the biggest hit. Next time I make it out this way, that'll be the on my plate.

Yelp
Today is Remembrance Day, where we take a moment to honor the veterens who fought for our freedom. Also today, its the first day of the Millarville Christmas fair. Prior to the fair, Kendra and I went to the Chuckwagon Cafe for breakfast in Turner Valley. It is easy to find -- just look for the big red barn on the side of the highway. It advertises right out front that they serve breakfast all day. As well, if you order beef, it is hormone free, local Alberta beef! Both of is ordered the same thing -- the Cody Scramble, which is an omellete with ham, cheese, onion and tomatoes. I asked for swiss cheese on mine. It also comes with toast and hash browns. The hash browns are real chunks of fried, seasoned potatoes. The ambiance is laid back and unpretentious. It is all wood inside, with an old fashioned decor, that gives this space a heritage feel. The food was delicious! It was like a home cooked meal. Now that I know this gem exists, I will be back! 12/30

Yelp
Heard this place is was on the Food Network show 'You gotta eat here!' Well, stopped by and had smoked salmon eggs benny. Friend had steak eggs benny. My smoked salmon benny was wayyyy too salty, but the steak eggs benny was sooo good. The slices of steaks was super tender. They serve the eggs benny not on english muffins but on 1/2 of a freshly baked croissant. I thought their breakfast potatoes/hash was not very good. Soggy. 3* for the super tender steak on the steak eggs benny and small town diner atmosphere.

Yelp
This is probably the best place for breakfast in Turner Valley. Its homestyle cooking fresh ingredients and welcoming environment make it a favorite of mine and I consider it a second home. The staff here are Homey the decor is like something out of an old western movie. The portion sizes never disappoint and the home cooked meals, the endless supply of coffee, and fresh made daily pie make this a must-stop. If you're a regular, or if you are visiting from out of town this should be a point of interest on every guidebook book, and on every tour stop.

Yelp
I took my mother here for Mother's Day lunch, the menu options are very limited, meat, eggs, pancakes, fries. No salads, no sandwiches. I ordered eggs Benedict obviously the hollandaise was made from a powder mix, there were little pockets of unabsorbed powder all through it. The hash-browns were OLD they at one time were fresh cut, but mine were cold, wrinkly and tasted like they had been in a fridge for a few days.i asked the server and she assured me they were fresh made that day, I'm not stupid, I make hash-browns for my kids a lot and I can tell when they are reheated. I was hoping for more menu options for restricted diets like fresh veggie salads, or wrap sandwiches. Everything was heavy, not fresh, not homemade, a massive letdown for the high prices. I will never go back, don't waste your money, and if you do don't bother complaining because they will lie to you anyways.

Yelp
2016, A great red barn rustic place for breakfast with great interior characteristics of the country style. This place has been praised for their burger and it lived up to its expectations. Also, do not forget to try their breakfast dishes if you are not in the mood for a burger and try their homemade pies (not sure if they still do it for 2018). The pies have limited quantity, so it is best to get there as soon as you can to nab the flavors you like. I would go back here again to try out other menu items.

Yelp
I rarely give 5 star reviews, but this one is worthy of it. We went for Sunday brunch here a few weeks ago, drove down from Calgary. Hubby had been before and raved about it. He had the smoked meat hash (looked amazing), and I had the smoked salmon benny. Seriously the best smoked salmon benny I have ever had in my life. REAL salmon - don't know if they smoke it in house or not but damn it was good, and lots of it. It's small and clean and the decor is wood and western. Was very busy when we got there but we probably waited less than 10 minutes for a seat at the "bar". Would have been another few minutes for a table for 2 but we weren't fussy. They were fast and friendly. Worth the drive (and the wait).
google avatar

Jessie Marie Valenzuela P.

Yelp
A very good place for breakfast!! We are from calgary but we would take a drive just to eat our breakfast here sometime in the weekend! Their eggs benny was featured in the tv show " you gotta eat here" I tried and and i loved it!

Lesli K.

Yelp
The first time I ate here, my family and I were passing through town on our way to do some snowshoeing. We had to fuel up for a day of energy burning and we thought that the Chuckwagon Cafe sounded like the way to do it. We were incredibly pleased with our flat iron bennies. The steak was tender, the eggs were medium and it was a nice twist to have it on a croissant. The hollandaise sauce was definitely made from scratch (meaning it was pure butter). Loved it! Another time we stopped in for burgers. These guys make their burgers taste amazing. It must be something to do with the fact that they raise their own beef. The meat is truly tasty. As soon as you bite into it just makes you go, "Mmmmm". Other than the tasty food, this is a casual hang out for city and farm folk. Nothing fancy...well, except the pies they make! Try strawberry and rhubarb - you'll think you floated away on a cloud!

Yelp
Came here by suggestion from my aunt and yelp reviews. So good. I'll be back! We waited about 40 minutes for a table to open up (Saturday afternoon) but that was the only negative I experienced. The staff was pleasant and friendly, the decor and atmosphere had country charm and the food was delicious. I ordered the beef sandwich with fries, husband ordered chicken sandwich with seafood chowder. We split our meals in half and shared. Both were good but the chicken was the winner. Their homemade fries were also really good. I didn't have the chowder but he said it was amazing. Best part? Our bill was $32 for the both of us.

Yelp
We went in for breaky cause we heard this place was on tv and were surprised because we had been there're before and were not impressed, well... Still not impressed, had the flat iron Bennie and it sucked , especially for 17 bucks , the steak was absolutely bland , not seasoned at all , the hollondaise was fresh but also bland, I also think that a croissant is a poor choice because it just becomes a soggy mess under all that , a bagel would stand up better. Eggs were small but cooked perfectly and the waitress was super friendly but what she was wearing was filthy, it was like she had been wearing those clothes to work for a week , it kinda put me off. All in all , definatley not worth the drive for the bland soggy mess we got served.
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
Had the flank steak Bennie, flank steak was precooked "well done", pre sliced and dry/hard in a beef "sauce". Preparation for the Saturday fair day crowds expected for brunch? Eggs cooked nicely in a nice hollandaise sauce Served on a croissant All above in a small bowl with potatoes on the side, tasty Problem was the sauce, the egg yolk, the juice from the steak and extra water from the poaching all made the croissant a soggy mess with no texture, as it was all in a bowl no where for the juices to go but into the croissant I suggest you order the breakfast flank steak with poached eggs and toast with a side of hollandaise and it would be nicer

Yelp
Big fan of the breakfasts here, especially the beef hash (can't remember if it's corned beef or roast beef, or whatever, but it's delicious). They only serve it as a special, but I wish they would add it to their regular menu!

Yelp
Yeehaw, it's the Chuckwagon Cafe - As Advertised on TV! I only have one complaint. The line was atrociously long, which is no surprise since this restaurant was featured on television (in addition, it was a long weekend). Upon inquiring about the wait time, we were given a vague response: 'It'll be a bit'. Does time not exist in Turner Valley? A number - heck, even an estimate, is extremely useful for the customer and can give them the choice to stay or leave. A few people walked in, said "I'm not *that* hungry", and left. I would have done the same, but I drove from NW Calgary to be here so I wasn't budging. Luckily, time passed by quickly despite the wait (45 minutes) since I was accompanied by talkative friends. I also appreciate the fact that they take the effort to call names inside and out - that's always a bonus! The customer service is exquisite. Despite the crowded atmosphere, we were quickly take care of. The attitude is super-friendly and highly welcoming. I was incredibly impressed by the prompt service and even faster food delivery - they obviously know how to run a restaurant! As I mentioned prior, this was featured on TV. Does the food live up to the hype? Sort of. It was delicious, but it wasn't 'leap-from-my-chair-and-dance-on-the-table-my-tastebuds-are-spitting-fireworks' outstanding (it may have been a different outcome had I ordered a burger or steak). I will - however - deliver merit where it is due. I had the traditional eggs benedict (as per usual) since my passion for this delectable dish cannot be yielded. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by its unique combination of flavours. The taste leaves a different albeit positive note on your tongue; the buttery, flaky croissant melds well with the creamy Hollandaise (which lacked lemony flair, but it's still a league above the majority of restaurants) and the eggs (while a bit small) where cooked as per my request and were quite delectable. It was paired with ham, which possessed a savoury smoky flavour. The dash of nutmeg sealed these cohesive ingredients together into a pleasant symphony of hearty, rich flavour. And the hashbrowns? Oh em gee - they were incredibly tasty. They were bursting with zesty seasonings that left a lovely memory afterwards. Next time, I shall return to attempt the smoked salmon eggs Benedict!

Yelp
The burgers here are flat out yummy. "Worth the drive from Calgary" yummy. Burger had a lovely texture and was nicely seasoned, and the bun was hardy (to hold burger and fixings in) and tasty. Love the decor- reminds you how local, therefore fresh, the ingredients are. Side fries are delicious, the beef barley soup was so flavourful, and the side salad has an awesome house dressing. We had a late lunch here, so no more pie left to try by closing. This was my 3rd time here, and I look forward to another trip down Cowboy trail, so I have an excuse to come back here again.

Yelp
A drive in the country is one of those things I love to do that can make a summer Sunday perfect. The rolling green hills and seemingly endless pasture is like switching channels after a week of urban clutter and daily distractions. After a morning trip to the Millarville Market we were hungry for some real food, and Turner Valley is home to one of the best places for some good old-fashioned country comfort food around - Chuckwagon Cafe. Since this was my first visit, I wasn't sure of where the cafe was, but it was evident by the small crowd of eager diners waiting outside that I had indeed found the place. 35 minutes later, we were seated at the counter and greeted like old friends. After having a look at the menu, we decided to try the flatiron steak benedict special and the legendary house burger. The atmosphere of the cafe is cozy and definitely has a cowboy theme. It's important to note while I'm on the subject of cowboys that Chuckwagon has their own cattle company and raises their own beef - young cattle (15-18 months old) that they dry-age for 28 days to concentrate the flavour. Now I've mentioned before that when keeping things simple, it's imperative to make sure that the ingredients are the best you can get, and this...is the best you can get. After a little conversation with the regulars and ogling our neighbours' food, our lunch arrived. The house burger, at first glance, appears to be nothing out of the ordinary. It has the standard toppings and comes with fries. Then the first taste - the texture of the beef is exceptional. The patties are handmade and given as much handling as they need and nothing more. The dry-aged beef is flavourful and tender, yielding itself over with every bite. The toppings play essential roles as elements to the complete profile but don't distract from the star which is clearly the beef. How can you top a solid burger? How about an homage to most popular brunch item around - eggs benedict. I am a sucker for eggs benedict in many ways. I love the soft poached egg, as the runny yolk runs down the ham and English muffin, enveloping everything in eggy goodness. Unfortunately also it's one of those dishes that is often brutally executed - overcooked rubbery eggs, stale English muffin pucks with flavourless Hollandaise...tragic. Meanwhile, back at the Chuckwagon, I was presented with one of the most interesting interpretations of eggs benny I've ever experienced. A buttery, flaky croissant topped with hearty tender chunks of juicy steak finished off with 2 soft poached eggs and a lemony, silky Hollandaise sauce. Served with a side of their hashbrowns, complete with the beautiful crispy finish you can only get by cooking on a flattop or cast iron skillet. Though this dish has a few elements of the original, it is clearly a cowboy breakfast. Its hearty with a touch of refinement but not enough to make it pretentious. The soft poached eggs and Hollandaise coat the tender beef and everything runs down into the infinite layers of buttery croissant below. It's simply sublime. To contrast the texture of the main, the crispy finish of the chunky hashbrowns compliment and complete this meal. Everything in this dish is on point. Nothing is overlooked. The side isn't a mere filler, but a true companion. All in all, I found the Chuckwagon experience well worth the wait and the highlight of my trip to the country. If you find yourself down this neck of the woods, be sure to stop by, relax and enjoy.

Yelp
Breakfast is a meal that I don't take lightly, and the Chuckwagon Cafe Does not disappoint. We were lucky to come in right before the crowd and get seated within about 10 minutes. After we had sat down there was a line out the door and I expect some people would have had to wait 30 minutes, but I would be willing to wait. After sitting down our waitress advised us of the specials and then at the end added on "... and the steak benny is delicious". I was sold. Apparently also were my friends as we all ordered the same and some coffee. I wouldn't say the service was super fast, but we knew we were going to have to wait a little while as there was a literal line out of the door. As the waitress laid out our bennies in front of us, we all knew that it had been worth the wait. The Hollandaise sauce was so delicious that I was convinced that it was Mom's home-made sauce from Easter weekend. Then immediately after that taste you get the perfectly poached egg on a delicious piece of steak. They also couldn't have chosen a better compliment than to place it on a flaky croissant. We received great service considering how packed the restaurant was. Also expect to pay for the quality you're receiving as this breakfast isn't cheap! All true Western breakfast lovers will enjoy the Chuckwagon Cafe, so don't get turned off when you see all of the motorcycles lined up outside!

Yelp
I've only ever been here for breakfast / brunch but the flat iron steak eggs benedict is life changing. The hollandaise may be the best I've ever had. And I would kill people for some of the home made pies.

Yelp
We went on Father's Day. We waited about 40 mins. It was worth the wait. Delicious food. Good size portions. Everything homemade. Even the delicious sausages! The homemade pie was fabulous! The owner walks around cleaning up and chatting with the customers. We will be back!

Yelp
The food is so delicious and homemade. I had probably the best burger I have ever had, and the fries are fresh cut and cooked to order. It's a beautiful little place and the staff is so friendly and hospitable. Love coming here.
