Apple picking farm - great for kids (and my parents lol). Sneak in some apples for snacks while you go picking, no one will know...

I am glad that this place is so close to Brampton. Note:- Book tickets in advance on the website and choose the time slot to visit. You can walk-in but tickets can be only buy online. Things to do there:- Tractor ride with an expert so they will tell you which variety is ready to pick. They have a band nights so you can enjoy the music and a band. They have variety of food including smoked and roasted corn on the cob. They have a huge fire pit so you can sit in the group and enjoy it. Washrooms are very neat and clean.

Google
What a great place. A coworker recommended we take the kids there. The slides are big even for adults to ride. For 5 people it cost us around $80 bucks. It was a 3hr limit. You can run around the hay bales, feed the animals, take the tractor ride, swing on ropes, check out the forest area....etc. The kids had an amazing time and so did the grown ups. They also have a stage for concerts. And if you like pie. That apple crumble is a hit. 5 star rating for sure. We are going to return for apple picking here.

Google
Had a great experience visiting this apple farm! The entry ticket was $14.50, which included a fun tractor ride around the farm—perfect for both kids and adults. Even though there were no fruits to pick during our visit, we still enjoyed exploring the place and taking in the beautiful scenery. The farm also has some nice food options and little shops where you can buy fresh food items and treats. It’s a lovely spot for a family outing or just to spend a relaxing day outdoors. Would definitely recommend for a fun farm experience!

Google
I’ve only ever known this place for apples and pumpkins. My daughter recommended this for summer concerts and wow! I’ve been to a concert each week. The tribute bands are top notch incredible. The layout of the place is amazing. Tables and chairs everywhere and a dance floor in front of the band. You can get drinks food and be surrounded by twinkle lights under the skies and enjoy a night of music dancing food and drink. I have literally told everyone I know about this place. What a fun summer night experience.

Google
Amazing experience, it was my first time there. Very organized, clean , friendly staff. Lots to do. The apples were delicious. Fun for kids and adults. Great selection of food and beverages. Would highly recommend for a visit.

This was our second family visit to Chudleigh’s Entertainment Farm, and it didn’t disappoint. The farm has plenty to keep kids entertained with fun rides and a petting zoo, while the apple-picking makes for a great outdoor activity for all ages to enjoy under the sun. The food pavilion offers good options, and the souvenir shop is stocked with natural, farm-made treats that make perfect take-home goodies. A wholesome family experience all around!

Google
It’s a beautiful farm. You can spend a whole day with your family. Kids were having a blast. Every corner is so charming and beautifully maintained. Petting animals was the highlight of this farm. Play area was very nice. Highly recommended for families with kids.

Google
Totally went to this place based on reviews and I’m glad I took the risk. I took my 3 year old and he enjoyed the place quite a bit. I did too. It’s a great place to spend 3 hours. Would probably visit again and recommend to anyone wanting to visit a petting farm. Would probably be a good experience in the fall when you can go apple/fruit picking.

Yelp
I purchased tickets for a weekend date for four the week prior - some of the times were already sold out when I checked; we decided to get tickets for noon on a Saturday. When we arrived, parking was busy, but we could still find a spot in the front. We first saw the dining area, where you could purchase corn, cider, other drinks, and snacks when we entered. I ordered corn, which was $5, and it was so fresh and delicious! We brought our dogs and couldn't go into the zoo or ride the tractor, but our dogs had a great time. There is a large playground for children and a short nature trail. We also walked through the orchards, where some apples were available, but some were harvested near the exit. There were many spots for photo ops, and we enjoyed walking through the grounds. It wasn't busy, but it didn't impact our experience. Before we left, we purchased an apple crumble pie, a dinner hit!

Yelp
You can buy your ticket online and guarantee your spot (3-hour timeslots are available) We came here on a Sunday for a family fun day and it has a lot to offer for all family members; wagon ride, apple picking, farm yard, giant slides, sand box, maze, cafe and outdoor restaurant, market that offers cider, jams, tarts, wines, etc. Very nice and organized. We enjoyed our time here.

Yelp
Chudleighs is my favourite farm to go to during the fall. I love that they have a huge food selection & seating, because as a new mom it's convenient for me to sit and relax. Even prior to having a kid, coming with my friends gave us an opportunity to gather without having to do "family" things. I love the tiny petting zoo too! It's also very nice for photos :)

Yelp
Great place to visit. The staff have been nice and accommodating. The upgrades are wonderful!

Yelp
I'm 58 and I came here with my parents as a kid. I remember picking the apples and eating pie with cheddar cheese. I remember them grilling corn on the cob over a fire. My adult daughter and I started apple picking again a few years ago and went to Chudleigh's about 2 years ago. Of course it's changed a lot. It is far more commercial now. There is an entrance fee,and you have to reserve tickets online at specific times. Entrance fee alone for an adult is $17. Each large bag of apples you pick will cost about $27. You can buy pies, salad dressing, cider, etc., as you leave and there is a large restaurant area. It isn't inexpensive to do this, but the apple picking part is fun.

Yelp
My family and I went to chudleighs farm today with 3 other families. We all have young children, under 3 years old. At lunch time we grabbed a table and the kids were hungry so we took out our packed food and let them start munching away. Shortly after, a man came by and started yelling at us saying "Why do you think it's okay to bring your outside food and eat it at my restaurant, use my heat lamps and my garbage can. There are picnic tables outside for you." He claimed at entry we were told that you cannot dine at the restaurant with outside food but no one had informed us and there were no signs. Not to mention the "restaurant" is not formal where you are served or asked to be seated. We told them the food was for our babies and we have someone lining up to buy food. Still he continued to shout at us. Did I mention it was also raining and 5 degrees? Have some compassion and respect for families. We all paid admission fees, if that doesn't allow us to sit at your tables then what does the admission fee account for? Standing on your property? I also looked around and the man decided to yell at us, the only table with Chinese people. I am extremely disappointed and will never return and also make sure I tell everyone I know to not pay a visit.

Yelp
Very clean. Well organized. Big playground. They have a restaurant inside. Delicious bake treats. Pizza, fries, wings and hotdogs. Friendly staff. Clean toilets. Variety of apple. Have an entrance fee,

Yelp
A beautiful- have-it -all farm to spend a day with kids and family! Summers and autumn have a contrast which makes it a must to go place, twice a year! They have musical weekends evenings until autumn . They have a huge patio where you get a variety of options to munch. Reasonably priced snacks and generous portions. A big farm for apple picking. A beautiful place to spend summary days!

Yelp
The outside area is really nice. Apple tastings and opportunity to buy apples and pies, etc at the little market area. They also sell food - I tried their apple blossom and it was delicious. We bought a frozen pie (the one with rhubarb and berries) to go and gifted it (so didn't try it) but was told that it was really amazing. Definitely want to try that next time. 3 stars because it's really expensive to get in. And after getting in, still have to pay for apple-picking.

Yelp
Terrible customer service experience! I don't like to give 1 star, but they REALLY asked for it. We had tickets purchased for 8:30 to 11:30, were late due to personal reasons at 11:20 (we explained reason clearly). Entrance person scanned they tickets but didn't let us in because it was close to 11:30, saying that they are at capacity. Manager advised that we can call and ask for different time slot (not guaranteed). That makes sense, i wouldn't write review because of that. But what happens after... We emailed them and they agreed to transfer tickets to different time slot. After they figured out that tickets were scanned they called me. Name showed on phone: "Lela Colangelo", apparently a manager. During the phone call Lela tried to teach me that being late is a bad thing by saying: "You were late, there's nothing i can do". 0 empathy. After some time arguing i gave up and said i'll write this review. In essence, tickets were worth $38.08. They initially agreed to transfer tickets and then took it back. They spent a week arguing with us for this even though they had a spot for Friday afternoon which they'd loose anyways (we were ok with that day). They were rude on the phone. What else would you give but a 1 star?

Yelp
The worst burger I've ever had in my life fries were good. Whoever approved this on the menu has no taste buds it's dry bland and just plain gross and they don't have cheese to add lol don't order this.
google avatar

Venezia V.

Yelp
My only complaint is that it's too busy now. I have been going there since I was a baby, I'm 25 now, and I've watched the once cute farm grow into a booming business. I still go every year, even though it's busy it's still a good experience. The fresh corn and apples are delightful!

Yelp
We really enjoyed our time here but I will add that we went mostly for entertainment for my toddler, and I think if we were just adults I would rate it a 2. And I think if she were an older child, say 5-7, Id give it a 5. The playground is fun and huge, like the slides are terrifying even for an adult! But you can roll around and throw hay, which is fun. The eating areas are nice and open, I would say the food we had was a 2/5 , they say you can't bring in outside food but we most certainly did. Big hit was the wagon/tractor ride. Their signs about this should be clearer (drop off/pick up locations). We spent almost no time picking apples so I can't comment on that The farm was cute, small and easy to navigate. Overall a lot of fun for children but for more serious foragers, likely a miss

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Not accommodating customer service, in fact no customer service phone number. Paid entry just to get to bake shop. Not a family oriented business.

Yelp
Sausage and pizza and Mac and cheese fritter was all unpleasant. All around all bad never again

Yelp
One star just because they charged me and the wife $26 . Just to get in and pick . Plus you still have to pay for your apples . Great looking place if you like to spend a lot of unnecessary money . Lots of Affordable apple family farms in Ontario . This one's not . Apples tasted great I have to give them that we picked Honey Crisp apples . A pie and 3L of apple cider total of $87 . Pets are welcome but only in the picking field but not in the maze or petting farm .

Yelp
Pros: - large orchard farm - petting zoo great for adults + children - a variety of apples to choose from - apple cider - you can eat the apple as you walk around inside - huge parking lot, lots of attendees to help direct flow - delicious juicy apples Cons: - costs $15 just to enter the orchard for each person - quite costly, I think around $20 for the bags (don't quote me on this price) Overall it was a good experience, however, we'd probably try another orchard farm next time.

Yelp
Not my kind of place at all, but I realize that with a little research I could have known this and just stayed away. The apple picking itself was fun and well-organized. And the apples we came home with were very tasty! However, the amusement park feel of everything else was a total turn off for me. Can definitely see how it is appealing for kids, but the number of adult-only groups I saw there was a bit mind boggling.

Amanda D.

Yelp
I'm reviewing for two reasons. Firstly, because my kids always have a BLAST when they come to Chudleigh's! We love the slides and the farm animals! The pizza at the food court or whatever you want to call it is surprisingly delicious, we get it every time! We also always grab the sticky toffee puddings and Apple crumble pie from the market on the way out! Secondly, because *some* of these 1 star reviews are incredibly unfair. I'll start by saying I have zero personal affiliation with Chudleigh's or anyone who works there. There are many complaints about the cost of admission and the cost of apples. I feel like people forget that we are still in the middle of a pandemic. Businesses have lost tons of money over the past year and a half. There is reduced capacity, there are fees needed to pay staff, to pay for upkeep, to pay for everything needed to keep the farm up and running and maintain its beautiful condition. Are there other places that are less expensive? Sure. So, go there. But there's no need to leave a 1 star review because they're not within your budget. There are plenty of people, including myself, who are more than happy to pay admission fees and then pay for the apples for a day of fun. To the owners, staff and volunteers working hard at Chudleigh's, thank you so much for everything! We have created many memories there and hope to continue making more and more as our children grow!

Yelp
Honey Crisp Apple picking weekend! Enjoyed a fabulous day here today with friends at Chudleigh's apple farm. It is a bit pricey for $13 entrance fee or $48 family of 4 ( plus $9 for add'l person). It's a great place for kids. I suggest that you get there early around 10:30am and start in the playground which is what we did. It's huge with large slides that are super fast so don't let your little ones go down on their own. Then we spent some time with the kids in the animal farm which the kids loved especially when they were feeding them. Next, we took the tractor ride and went apple picking. We got 2 large bags for $15 (gala) and $30 (honey crisp). You can packed up the bag for that price as long the handle can touch or else you'll be charged extra! For lunch, there's a snack bar with a few hot items like mac'n cheese or the BBQ stand serving hot dogs, sausages, corn and turkey legs. After a whole day that was extremely hot, we stopped at the snack bar for a slushie to cool down. This is a perfect place for a family day!

Yelp
Very disappointed! Bought tickets. Previous two hour time slots were not observed. Nobody was leaving. Was overcrowded. No distancing. Ride to and from Orchard was packed and nobody was wearing masks. Check out employees wearing masks under their nose. They should be closed down.
google avatar

Rana L.

Yelp
It was pricy during harvest season (mid/late august onwards) but the family of 4 entrance fee was acceptable. Kids under 3 were free. It's cheaper for admissions from June-mid August. We went around mid afternoon during harvest season on a long weekend and did not have to wait for anything. Chudleigh's is definitely loved by kids. There's a little farm with adorable baby farm animals, playground type area, tractor ride. Great place to spend an afternoon with your family. They also have apples, pies, etc. for sale. We didn't buy the pie as it was around $14, which in my humble opinion is a tad steep. That pie better be made of gold.... just saying. Would love to be back in a couple years!

Yelp
I'm not into company shaming or even into writing reviews, but I had to take the time to write this. I will make this has short as can be. Terrible customer service and guest experience. I've come two previous times earlier in the summer and had a decent time. But after this, I will not be returning. I visited the farm over the weekend with a group of my family members ( 15 ppl - children included) It's now 5:52 pm - the farm closes at 6pm. So, we're already by the hot food area. They refuse to make any more pizzas cause they closed it. No problem I understand- it would take longer than 10 mins to make a pizza. So we walk over to where the Apple Blossoms and drinks are sold. They have about a good 15- 20 blossoms under the heating lamp. So, myself and my sister and cousin go up to order the blossoms more for the children to eat - not really for the adults. One of the food attendants proceeded to LIE through her teeth and say "..... oh we cannot sell it to you cause their reserved for someone else...." so my cousin says - so where's the person?!!!! Then the girl is like no, i cannot sell it. My cousin then says so if the person does not come back for them what are you going to do with the food "..... oh then we will throw it out..." lol like - What!!!!!!! Then another food attendant comes up And says "..... okay guys, because we're closing I'll Make the exception for you ....!!" The other girl who lied is just standing their probably embarrassed cause all the energy spent to lie to us just got exposed plus we asked for ice cream on half the orders and guess who is responsible to put ice cream- the girl who lied So we thank the food attendant paid and now move to the seating area near by the stage. Another employee by the name of Je**er decides that she will be LAPD police and starts screaming ".....bye.....time to leave ....!!!" Very loudly and condescendingly abs then starts flashing her hands. To only our group ( we are of afro Caribbean decent) Literally follows us outside past where you purchase the apples and frozen goods. Mind you we also had to pay for all food items at the cashier as well!!! ( So she literally watched us the whole time) We then get to the front area , still following us says Je**ner then continues to say "....good bye ...." and then tries to make it not so obvious ( in her mind ) starts to scream the reason why she's called Je**ner. We ignore her and take a few pictures ( mind you the farm was still filled with ppl waking out). She follows us to our car and is still saying bye. Will not be returning

Yelp
I wasn't really impressed with Chudleigh's. The farm is huge but they've turned into more of an attraction. All we could get into without paying to walk through the grounds was the store. I was really hoping to buy a gluten and dairy free pie. To my surprise none of the baked goods were gluten free. I was surprised because Chudleigh's is much bigger than The Big Apple and the Big Apple sells a gluten and dairy free pie. I'll have to venture back to The Big Apple. Chudleigh's was a disappointment for me.

Jessica H.

Yelp
BEWARE!!! I HIGHLY recommend avoiding this place!!!!! High prices, awful customer service and shameful business practices. Tried contacting them 4 times before finally hearing back from them. I was hoping to switch ticket dates for my family because we unfortunately could no longer attend due to a personal situation (not a refund) and they refused. I asked if I could speak to someone on the phone (they don't have a phone customers can call) and they didn't bother trying to contact me or hear what I had to say. They would rather lose longtime business and take from families during these financially difficult times rather then just allow them to come a different day. So disappointing that they would keep a mother of twos money without providing any service. Shameful. Literally NO WHERE does it say tickets are non refundable/exchangeable until AFTER you pay and you receive an email. Their business practice feels sneaky, icky and wrong. Like theft. Greed is a terrible thing. This is not a place that supports families or is compassionate/understanding what so ever. Many other friendly and gorgeous farms with more to do and fairer prices! Definitely go else where if you are unsure.

Bill C.

Yelp
I have visited this farm for several years to buy their apples and even an apple pie the odd time. This year, I went to buy apples and was met with a request to pay $16 to enter the grounds. The gal explained that if I wanted to buy their apples I had to go to Main St. in Milton. I asked what the charge is for and she described the "Entertainment Center". I asked what is that? She then went on to describe what was part of the entertainment center and I said, sounds like what was there before for free?? Got a shrug back. To me, this is a money grab so I won't be back and I will go to another apple farm to get my apples and even the odd apple pie.
google avatar

Lauren D.

Yelp
A bit expensive for what it was but it was still a very fun day out with friends. The apples were yummy and perfect for both pies and eating. There was also live music in the food and drink area which was very pleasant. Overall this is a nice place to do fun fall activities with friends and family
google avatar

Artur J.

Yelp
Very unfortunate that the previous person had such a bad experience. Although I do have to admit that the farm is expensive ( if you start shopping in their store or buy food there ), you are getting a lot for your buck. For the $7.- per person or $25.- for family flat rate you get a tractor ride around the entire property or to the apple fields, then access to the Entertainment Farm which has all sorts of animals ( Pigs, Dogs, Calf, Donkey, Pony ( $3.- Pony rides for the kids ), Sheep, Lama, Turkey, Goose, Rabbits, etc. ), Hay Maze, a little Tractor area with 3 old timer Tractors that the kids can play with and climb on, a huge sandbox with all sorts of toys ( which are pretty beat up ) and then a huge playground. The Apple picking is a really nice experience, it's amazing just to see the aisles and aisles of apple trees. Although the apples are a bit on the pricey side, there is nothing better then the taste of a fresh picked apple!! If you don't want to buy their pricey food they provide you with a huge picnic area just outside by a beautiful stream and pond!! So in my opinion getting all that for just $7.- per person is great!!

Yelp
Disclaimer : my visit here was for a company event - so general experience may be different from a general admission visit. It's pretty fun and definitely a family friendly destination. the biggest attraction are the hay bales and slides. These slides are awesome! like super slidey and more importantly fast, which is like a kids's dream. Bonus- the slides are big enough for moms and dads go down with the kids, and there is plenty of hay to cushion the fall. The food is meh. We came here for apple picking - so a few things, the apples are huge. however keep in that this place is not an organic farm, so if that is very important to you; I would recommend finding another place. The apple zones are nicely spread out and they keep the line moving on a frequent basis, so it helps things under control. What I do like is that they have sampling of the apples available for picking, so if you are undecided you can sample and make your decision based on what is pick-able that day. Pricing is ok, honestly you usually end up with too much to eat when you go home. However my family is a strictly cut and eat type family and not bake/make or cook with apples family. What I really dislike is the parking situation and getting into the farm. This place is HUGE, but it's crazy how long it takes to turn into the farm. They have everything organized to once you turn in and it's efficient to park. but the journey to get into the farm once you are off the highway - be prepared to wait for an hour to an hour and a half to get to the turn-in point of the farm.

Yelp
Raising a family in Florida, the kids don't get to see fall foliage and appreciate the wonders of a Canadian autumn, so when we were up in Toronto for a few days in October I knew that apple picking was a must-do. We couldn't have found a more lovely place to spend the day than Chudleighs. From the moment you arrive and get on the hayride to the apple orchard you're transported to a simpler and wholesome era and the trees are ablaze with a multitude of colors, marking a picturesque tableau that kids remember forever. The attractions are cute in that rural way - rope swings in the forest, petting zoo where you can feed the alpacas, llamas and goats, the aforementioned tractor-pulled hay ride, and of course just wandering the apple orchard, delighting in the many varietals of apple that are bursting with flavor and the autumnal spirit.
google avatar

Dylan D.

Yelp
Deceiving. You pay 15 dollars for a wristband to go into the orchard and pick your own apples, or so we thought. We put on the wrist bands, turn the corner into the orchard and are charged between 18-22 dollars to buy a plastic bag to gather the apples... without this "Chudleigh's" plastic bag purchase, you cannot pick your own apples. When we asked the admission booth for refund, they refused to give us one, saying they do not do refunds unless it's for a family emergency. No signs are posted at the admission booth nor the information booth to tell you it'll be close to 50 a person to pick your own.... nobody tells you this until you're already in the orchard. That's how they get you!

Yelp
A fun way to spend a weekend morning or afternoon though it was crazy busy, lots and lots of families. Priced as a family of 4 adults and kids under 3 free, we paid $42.00 for entrance. This includes your wagon ride , petting zoo, kids play area. Pick your own apples was around $2.00 or something a pound. For about 12 apples, a pie and some cookies we paid $23.00 or so...it's not cheap but it's not awful either. The wagon ride was a hit with the kids as was the giant slide area all padded down with hay to keep the kids safe. There was also a big sand pit to play in as well. The petting zoo was very popular but it was so crowded we decided to skip it. There were the typical animals like sheep, goat, and I think I saw a llama. The gift shop was nice....not huge but sufficient. They had ready bagged apples and they had baked goods like pies and blossoms. Lots of frozen pies available as well as apple cider. We wanted to get some bbq lunch that they were doing but the line up was awful so we nixed that idea right away. Allocate about 2-3 hours of fun family time. But after that there were many a child meltdown so pace yourself properly and you should be in and out well before meltdown stage. Overall it was a great way to spend some time outdoors with the kids. We'll be back soon!

Yelp
One of the best apple pies I've ever eaten. Unfortunately it's really turned into an expensive outing. The price to get in and get a few bags of apples, HIGH. Just because you are picking your own apples will not equal a deal, at all.

Yelp
Arrived on October 1 with 3 grandkids after spending over an Hour in traffic. Once parked we discovered that it was CASH only as the internet was down. We were told we could go to a nearby town to get some cash which would have meant getting back on the road and waiting in line again. I offered to pay by check but they would have none of it. A kind woman in line offered to Give us $50.00 as she could see the absurdity is the situation. I ended up giving her a check in exchange for her $50.00. I found the staff incapable of making a common sense decision.....taking a check with proper identification. Not at all empathetic to our situation. Who carries large amounts of cash anymore? Will never return.

Yelp
Amazing place to go - we have a season's pass so it makes it more economical to visit regularly. Admission is fairly high compared to the other local farms but I think it's well worth it for the experience. The huge slides are really fun, there's a big variety of farm animals & it's all well kept...the wagon ride is fun and they drop you off at a nice trail area on their property. When there's Apple picking, that's always a huge draw...yes a bag of apples can be expensive depending on which variety you pick but I mean it's not any more or less expensive compared to the grocery store....and their apples taste so good! Food is a pretty good value - about $3 for soft serve & $6 for pizza. The staff in the animal area are beyond amazing - Pat & Sam are so nice...Tasha was super great too but she is no longer there this yr.

Yelp
The apple picking, petting zoo and nature trail were a hit with the kids. Keeps them busy and gets them away from the ipad screens. Lots of delicious baked goodies at the store. The apple blossom with ice cream was wonderful on a hot day. The cider was a bit disappointing at a gouging price of $7 for a can that you can buy at the LCBO for less than $3? Come on! I've never seen such horrible price gouging for the sale of beer at the same establishment.

Roudolph B.

Yelp
Visited the market only today. Great selection of apples, wish there were more than just pies available to buy. Washrooms needed attention. Being a long weekend (Thanksgiving), more attention to facilities and more employees are needed. Very disappointed at the huge line up to cash out. They had three lines open and hundreds of people waiting to check out. I asked someone in line and they were waiting 45 minutes. Chudleigh's needs an express line for the market. Or maybe a "pie thru" in the parking lot. Due to the long wait, we gave up and left. Open a "pie thru!"

Yelp
Every year we love to go to chudleighs farm for apple picking but this time we are quite disappointed.Driving 45 mins to get there ,the traffic and each person has to pay $15 for admission alone is not worth your time plus The bag they give you to fill your apple cost a minimum of $25 and up for apple pick. They increase their price of like over 50 percent difference. It is more reasonable and practical to get your local apples to groceries and Costco. You can easily drop a minimum of $100 bucks just to pick your own apple. However their pie is delicious but they use to be bigger than what is the current size now.We won't pick our apples there but if we go there it makes sense just to get the apples they sell in the store if you want don't want to spend too much money.

Yelp
Nice farm, but expensive. Would love to go more often, but everything is pricey. Cool place for kids and adults.

Yelp
Well, they do a fine business in separating suckers from their money. Considering the prices, which I've copied below from their website, you would expect, well, something. They did provide a ride on a wagon pulled behind a tractor to the field to pick apples, but considering that we were providing the labour and would have to pay for the apples that does not seem like much for a $7 per person fee. I tried to buy lunch at their small cafeteria and noticed that they had a butternut squash on the menu. Here's the dialogue: Me: "Can you tell me what the soup base is?" Chudleigh's staff: "Why do you want to know?" Me: "I'd like to know what's in the soup to decide if I want to buy it." C.S. with a snear "What do you have allergies or something?" Me: "No. I just want to know what the base is." C.S."I don't know, and the package is in the back. Now, do you want the soup?" Let me point out here that there was no line, and no reason not to go to the back and read the package. Really, all I learnt was that they do not make the soup on site and that the staff are surly. I did not get the soup. I bought a hot apple cider, small styrofoamcup =$3.00, and a slice of apple pie. $3.50 She took my cash and then said, "I'll have to disappoint you, we're out of pie, I'll give you an apple blossom instead." It was cold, my kid was hungry and I took it, because here at Chudleigh's you'll take what you are given and then you will eat it. We were then told that we would have to walk 250 m in the rain to a tent to eat the pastry, presumably carrying it there on a open plate. I guess at Chudleigh's they like rain sodden pastry. I don't. I ate it in the shop. If you want to pick apples, go anywhere else, where you can pick the apples and then pay for what you picked. If you want to give away as much cash as possible go to Chudleigh's - they want your money if not your repeat business. Admission per person $7.00 (ages 4 and up) Family of 4 $25.00 Additional person $5.00 Seniors $4.00 Special Needs $4.00

Yelp
My family and I go to Chudleigh's every year. It is tradition and I wouldn't miss it for the world - as in I got home at 3:30AM from a party and woke up at 8:30AM to make the trip. I believe Chudleigh's is becoming more popular as I now see their apple pies at Longo's. Actually, when we were driving up there and noticed a long line to enter, my mom mentioned that 20 years ago this was a hidden gem...one of those cute country places where you picked apples in someone's backyard just because they had an excess. Now, Chudleigh's has become a full fledged experience for the family with animal barns and tractor rides and playgrounds and mazes and pumpkin patches and there is even a golf course nearby. This is a great place to bring kids. The farm opens at 10AM on Sundays, but as mentioned, the line was already extremely long. FYI! Try to come to Chudleigh's as early as possible. By the time we left (1-ish), the line to enter extended almost 4 big-country blocks back. The price to enter for 8 people came about to be $60 and change (different pricing for seniors, kids, and they also have a family pack price) and this allows access to the grounds. We were here to pick some serious apples so you have a choice of riding a tractor which will bring you to all of the Apple Stops or you can choose to walk (it's not a long distance from the main pick-up station to all the apple rows). FYI. Be sure to check the website for which apples are ready to pick. The weekend we went, we knew that Red Delicious, Creston, and Empire were available. The only issue I had was that the weekend we went (which wasn't the first weekend that the orchard opened), many of the trees were already picked by previous guests. Out of all the varieties, the Creston's were the ones that had a different price: $2/lb and you had to put them in a different plastic bag. There were only 3 rows of Creston's and most of the trees had been picked, but my mom and I managed to walk all the way to the other end of one row and we went nuts. FYI. Chudleigh's offers small and large sized plastic bags so you don't have to bring any. My family chose to bring 2 carts to put the apples in, but red wagons are available to rent. To give you an idea of pricing, 5 big bags of apples came out to be $75. Chudleigh's is also famous for their ready-made apple pies and apple ciders (mulled as well). My mom also likes their sausage rolls (which were all gone by 12pm with no more staff to make more) and little quiche pies. We ended up buying 5 apples pies, 2 1L ciders, and 3 boxes of mini quiche pies which all make perfect hostess and dinner gifts. This is also a great place to pick up food for any Thanksgiving dinner. If you wanted to break for lunch, Chudleigh's has the BEST hot dogs and corn-on-the-cob ever. They are grilled over an open fire which gives it that lovely earthy taste and the hot dogs are so JUICY. We didn't get a chance to eat at Chudleigh's this time simply because the line was too long and we were with elderly people who couldn't wait any longer for lunch. However, if you do get a chance to eat here, DO!! You will not be disappointed. Plenty of seating area is available. There is another eating section where the baked goods and juice are (near the entrance), but that is more a coffee and soup place. All in all, Chudleigh's is a GREAT place to come with family and friends and is so kid-friendly. But, at the core, the apples here are so delicious and fresh. I didn't even realize but I ate 7 apples while picking! In fact, I am having one now!

Yelp
Went on Saturday september 30th. Spent 13 bucks per person to get in and pick apples that I also had to wait an hour in line to pay for. What is wrong with your farm? Hire more people, get more debit machines and stop stealing money from people just to pick apples. That was a sad experience. Should have just walked out with my bag...I already paid 13 bucks to walk around an orchard. The fuck

Yelp
The worst pumpkin pie ever. Far too sweet. Tasted like I was just eating sugar. Disgusting!

Yelp
Last year (2019) my wife and I visited Chudleighs and we completely forgot to write a review, which we had intended on doing considering we had an incredible experience. Sure enough, we visited again today and nothing has changed. We had yet another incredible experience. The atmosphere, food, petting zoo, apple orchards and trail in the forest are nothing but magical. The cherry on top... is the staff! They truly care about the customers' experience. There were two staff members that stood out back to back years and really made our experience a 10/10... Paul (in the petting zoo section) and Alicia (from the entertainment/food section). Paul went above and beyond and gave us a VIP experience as funny as that may sound. He took us around and shared the names and personalities of all the animals in the farm and blew our minds with his knowledge and compassion for them all. We are animal lovers ourselves and really appreciated the time and love he puts into this. He is one of a kind and Chudleighs is truly lucky to have someone like him representing the establishment. Definitely keeps us coming back. Now for Alicia... what an amazing person. Her worth ethic, care for protecting people from COVID-19 and love for her job is unlike any other. She made us feel welcome and made us not want to leave. Again, Chudleighs is lucky to have her and perhaps this shows on a larger level how amazing this place really is. I strongly recommend this establishment to all who are looking to connect with nature, people, music and food! We will be back!

Yelp
At Chudleigh's today. Accidentally walked in to a private party with my grandnieces waiting to get a balloon and was rudely told to leave the area. No sufficient signs to let us know it was a private party. My last time at Chudleigh's

Yelp
If you want to pay $50 for a bag of apples, then Chudleigh's is the place for you!! My husband, daughter and I went to this overpriced and over rated farm and had to pay $13 a person just to get into the farm then each small bag of apples was $10 but if you wanted honey crisps, it was an additional cost and you had to use a separate bag. Slightly bigger bags are $15 but again, if the bag handles don't touch then it's an additional cost!! All this aside, if the employees were friendly, I would overlook these obscene prices but when an employee yells at a young boy for picking apples where he was not suppose to pick and yells, "I told you not to pick there, do you understand English or what?" Well guess what, we live in a beautiful, multicultural country so maybe this young boy actually did not understand English! There are certainly other ways of talking to paying customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

Yelp
It really depends what you want out of a place. It's a mad-house in terms of the sheer volume of people who go during apple season. It costs $11/head just to get in the door, and I'm not entirely sure all the extra attractions add a ton to my overall experience. They mostly do a pretty good job of handling the volume, so although there are long lines, they mostly move pretty quickly. Their apples are good, although the prices aren't really any better than getting good apples at the grocery store. If you want a day at the apple farm, lots of attractions for kids, lots of apples and you're not too hung up on crowds or prices, this is probably a great choice. If you want to get some good apples at a reasonable price or you don't like crowds, then you might like Chudleigh's. I had a good enough time, and got some honeycrisps, cortlands and kerrs, all of which were good. I wouldn't resist going again, but I would probably be just as happy at another apple farm with fewer attractions and fewer surcharges.

Yelp
I come here multiple times a year, I even bought my nephews passes because they live 10 min away! I visited this past Saturday and I will not return. For a fun, family place I have NEVER been treated like that. My boyfriend and I took the tractor out to pick apples and instead of waiting we just walked our way back picking apples at the orange cones. One of the men driving the tractor saw us and called us out in front of at least 25-30 people. He was yelling and being very rude and condescending, accusing us of sneaking into the park. It was mortifying and upsetting. At the end he said do you even have wrist bands? At this point We showed him our wrist bands and he said oh. We didn't say anything back because we were honestly just confused, shocked and embarrassed from being yelled at in front of a tractor full of people for doing exactly what we were allowed to be he then said "just trying to help" in a very condescending tone and drove away. I understand that we have wrist bands for a reason and someone feeling the need to ask me to see it but to yell at us for nothing and embarrass us like that is unacceptable and out of line. We didn't pay $30 to come get yelled at like that and I will never return. You don't treat your customers like that. It's all in the way you handle a situation. I am appalled and I don't want myself or my family in that kind of environment.
