From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Chuini Zanzibar Lodge. The staff were absolutely amazing – genuinely friendly and always ready to assist with a smile. The luxury rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed, providing a perfect haven for relaxation.||The culinary experience was exceptional; every meal was delicious, and the variety was impressive. And let's not forget the breathtaking sunsets – truly a sight to behold!||The General Manager was incredible, clearly passionate about ensuring every guest had a memorable stay. You can definitely feel the Newmark touch – a testament to the high standards of service and quality.||A special highlight was the surprise birthday celebration! The staff's enthusiastic singing and the delectable chocolate cake made my special day even more memorable.||We had an absolutely fantastic stay and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend Chuini for a truly unforgettable Zanzibar experience.

// Not worth your money // I paid over 200 usd a night for a sea view in a premium hotel, just like the pictures suggested. Did not get the sea view. Bedroom sheets were stained, dirty. Bedroom was filled with bugs : beetles, lizards, ants, lizards, small cockroaches, bees… Impossible to sleep when you are awaken by bats in your room at 3am. Pools were quite filthy. Nice view tho. Power cuts were frequent. WiFi does not work. Also had to watch locals abusing dogs on the beach, the dogs were barking/crying, staff did not stop the scene after multiple requests. Awful memory. Food is good. Staff is sweet.

Terrible experience. The pictures online are very misleading. Hotel is rundown and in need of a lot of work. There were so many bugs in our room and the mosquitoe net had large holes in it. The service was very poor. We typically waited over an hour for food in the restaurant. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel

Where do I begin? The only thing that matched up to their claims online was the view. We got shown to our room upon arrival. The resort was very much empty. I think there 4 other rooms occupied throughout our stay but they still put us right at the back of the resort in a terribly under serviced and dirty room. It was right next to the other resort so you can only imagine how loud it was all night. As soon as we walked into the room, my husband stepped on to the large rug to walk across the room. He said he felt something under the rug. It was a huge insect. I assumed that all hotels would take cleanliness very seriously but apparently checking under rugs is too much of a chore. After a long journey we wanted to shower up and grab some food. Went into the toilet and was surprised at how underkept it is. Shower was seperate but that was no better. Towels were dirty and so were the robes provided. Moving on to the bed. The mosquito net was very visibly stained. It was stomach turning. I have never been to a 4/5 star hotel and experienced this level of incompetence when it comes to cleanliness. Moving on to the spa. I went to make a reservation around half 4 but it was closed. I asked the front desk if i could speak to the ladies working in the spa but apparently it was closed. It only stays open for a sgort time during the day which was a bit disappointing. We then went to lunch in the evening. The view was beautiful. Food was good but extremely overpriced. I was quite shocked at the prices. Other than that there is not much to do at all. Location is very out of the way so a taxi is needed to get down to the shops etc. Overall, for the price you pay and their endless claims of how tip top their resort is, it was a huge disappointment and waste of money. Would not reccommend. Possibly the worst hotel I have stayed at.

Nice stay. Quiet and staff are very friendly. I like the al acarte selection of various foods.

Daytime staff are great go above & beyond to ensure you are comfortable Quick battery replacement for the AC English understanding is hard work but we got there in the end - a lot of hand gestures My daughter lived in the large pool and the food potions were plentiful though the chicken needs to be cook thoroughly prevent food poisoning Comfort 5/5 Wheelchair accessible Road is terrible considering there are numerous properties smh I dread trying to walk around 24/7 security guard who was friendly towards my youngest Thank you
