Chulia Heritage Hotel

Chulia heritage hotel has been very thoughtful, the day before I arrive they sent me WhatsApp massage to update me some informations. After a night's stay, they text me again asking if I prefer housekeeping service, which was quite approachable when I have certain requests. The guards has been very helpful too with the parking and help to open the room doors when needed. Although the street right outside is noisy as nightlife there is quite happening, but the hotel rooms we were staying in is quiet and good for rest. Besides for the hotel lobby has nothing much, toilet room a bit small and furnitures are limited in the room, but overall it's still quite a positive experience for a budget trip. 😊

The best thing about this hotel is location. Easy walk to any type of food and night life. Friendly staff. Quiet location. Strangest shower water heater, controlled by a switch amongst numerous wall switches located next to the exterior door. Upper floors undergoing renovation.

The location and room cleanliness was good. TV channels were good if one choose to stay in and relax. The only downside is the layout of the room and the cramp washroom/shower. Maybe it's my room type but mine is queen size bed.

I stayed at Chulia Heritage Hotel for 2 nights. The location is very convenient, and the room was clean and tidy. The hotel staff were also quite good. I stayed in a Deluxe Double Room, but the room was relatively small. The bathroom, in particular, was very small, and the bathroom door was also small. While getting up from the toilet seat, my head hit the wall. There is a steel stopper for the door, which poses a risk of injury when using the dressing area and mirror. The Wi-Fi was slow, and there was a mosquito problem, but no mosquito repellent was provided.

Reasonable price as we stayed as a family. Great staff named Natasha helped us provided a very good service. The location is super convenient and everything is within walking distance. I have stayed here twice and will definitely return again.

great location, clean room & toilet. no issues with the room. plus point! well taken care of by all staffs - reception/housekeeping/security. female solo traveller from sg - security guard helped to fan off random guy that followed me from a nearby bar to the hotel in the middle of the night. definitely recommend to all female travellers and will stay here again.

A hidden gem in George Town! Nice room, clean, cozy, homey, and good lighting too. The service also great, hospitality at their best. Good price too. I will definitely consider this place when I get back to Penang some day and recommended it to my friends.

Location is superb. Parked our car at the hotel’s and walked to nearby attractions eg. Penang road and chew jetty,etc. only downside is that the furniture and curtains are rather old with some stains, and they do not provide toiletries such as disposable toothbrush and hair shampoo.
