Church of Our Lady

Truly amazing historical gothic monument. It’s the one of - if not the - oldest French Gothic churches in Germany, and it’s a marvel to behold. It also has a quiet majesty as a place of worship too.

Timing is everything it's beautiful Church sadly they were having special services so the main part of the cathedral was closed off show the pictures I posted were of the secondary cathedral it's beautiful place as always people so friendly highly recommend just watch and see if they have special programs going on at the time we did not so we were not able to gain entry into the main sanctuary.

Another beautiful architectural gem in Trier. The design and inlays in the architecture and the circular form of it are absolutely breathtaking.

After visiting the cathedral next door this is all rather underwhelming . If you visit it first you will get more from it . It is also a very different building to the cathedral next door. Worth a look but nothing special

The Church of our lady in Trier is a great piece of art. It is so beautiful inside and has a peaceful atmosphere. It is worth to visit it to admire its beauty.

Super cool church with both enormously impressive inside and external architecture. This has architecture and detailed carvings that challenge Notre Dame. Of course the Germans have to outdo France!!

A church constructed during the 17th century which looks dull outwards but immense rich culture and history exists. I was marvelled by the beautiful statue of our lady at the right corner and the huge bird-like looking organ.

Another beautiful and well decorated church, right next to the main cathedral. Full with beautiful tainted coloured windows depicting the stories. The light coming through those window makes it all magical inside the church. The pillars and high ceilings are further decorated with designs and beautiful paintings. The most beautiful part is the one behind the altar. This is another marvellous piece of architecture in Trier.

A gorgeous church located next to the towering Trier Dom. The Liebfrauenkirche is, along with the Cathedral of Magdeburg (reportedly begun in 1209, but finished after the Liebfrauenkirche) the earliest Gothic church in Germany and falls into the architectural tradition of the French Gothic cathedrals. It is designated as part of the Roman Monuments, Cathedral of St. Peter and Church of Our Lady in Trier UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is much smaller but has some amazing stained glass windows and a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Do stop here and have a look as the architecture is quite interesting and it's a beautiful church.
